Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, I guess the Democrat idiot that came forward with
let's impeach President Trump was just kidding around. He's pulled
back now, apparently, Ryan smells our Fox correspondent in DC, Brian,
I mean, they're wepping on impeachment these days, like you know,
they hand out jelly beans at Easter time. Impeachment used
to be a big thing. Now it's just like, yeah, okay,
big deal.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Yeah, I mean yeah, I mean go back. President Trump
has been impeached twice, you had a cabin secretary of
last time Riss and peach for the first time, you
had an impeachment inquiry that was opening up in the
president Biden. I believe some Republicans introduced like separate articles
in impeachment but never really got like a big vote
or anything like that. So yeah, I know it's happening

(00:40):
quite often. But you know, Democrats didn't even want to
play with this one, and they ultimately decided they were
going to vote for a motion a table, thus killing
the impeachment inquiry, and it was never brought to the floor.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
So where is this dem from? Shre Than and oar?
How do you? I don't even know how you pronounce you
guys Michigan. Oh, oh, of course, mind bad. So what
I guess it was? What seven different articles? What was
he trying to get done here? Based on what?

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Yeah? I mean one of the big ones was the
you know, he he claimed that President Trump had violated
due process and his deportation efforts. You know, when he
when he pulled this from the floor, he decided he
actually put out a statement and said that he was
going to potentially add the cutter plane gifts to his
future articles of impeachment. But you know, we'll see if

(01:28):
he actually gets any more consensus on it. It doesn't
look like people really just it just didn't seem like
there was much of an appetite for this right now, JC.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Well, of course not. I mean it's ridiculous. It's one
thing after another with the Democrats still not being able
to read the room and have any self reality going
on here. I mean, check yourself, folks before you jump
on iron and start doing this. Like you said, I
think you said it best right there. There is not
an appetite for going through with this. So was it
Democrats that pressured him? Was it nobody really biting on this?

(01:57):
Obviously from the Republican side. But I mean mean, did
Schumer come forward to who was the final one that
finally convinced his knuckleet.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
So you'll like this story, and i'll if you want
me top text City Act year story. So you had
Andrew Solander, the reporter for Acts Years, say that there
was a closed door Democrat meeting where members were pretty
picked off about this, someone referred to as one of
the dumbest things they'd ever seen. They felt that the

(02:26):
focus was not appropriate right now, and that things should
be focused on the one big beautiful bill in Democrat
efforts to make sure that doesn't become law. And this
is also happening JP. Is like they were having markup
hearings that were going eighteen to twenty four hours straight,
and you know, members were falling asleep in these things.

(02:46):
The people were just exhausted and tensions were high. So
you know this, you know, I see they kind of
just pushed back on this, and ultimately House Democratic leadership
decided that they were going to actively tell their members
to not support the articles of impeachment, and thus it
kind of died and he decided to pull it from
the floor.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Well, apparently now they brought in AOC and you know,
I guess she's the new darling for the Democratic Party.
Apparently in all types of surveys she flows to the
top as the next big one for twenty twenty eight.
Could you imagine, oh my gosh, AOC president. But she
came forward and said, hey, look, we don't need this
right now, let's move on. So is she the new Shoomer?

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Well, I mean, we'll see. She hasn't really given any
indications she's going to run for that seat. She opted
not to run to the Oversight Committee chairwoman, so are
not chairman a ranking member, which was an interesting move,
but you know, she's not exactly on that committee anymore.
Sort of been challenging. Yeah, the thing I always say
about this is, you know, yes, she has a brand,

(03:49):
and she does get big crowds. But you know, as
we've learned, big crowds don't always translate to success in primaries,
and you know, I think Bernie Sanders has learned that twice. Now.
You know, obviously President Trump's crowdsizes did correlate to wins,
but at the same time, you know, it hasn't worked
out for everyone that way. So just because you know,

(04:10):
she might be the person of right now and the
one who's able to get a lot of attention. I
mean she's always been able to get a lot of attention,
but that doesn't mean that, you know, her brand of
politics has grown and has mass influence in the Democratic Party.
I mean, you know, when we get to when we
get to twenty twenty eight, I mean this field could
be very different by them. That's still a long way away.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Yeah, a hundred percent. All right, Ryan, thank you buddy
for the update. I appreciate you having good weekend.
