Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now Alabama's Morning News. I'm JT and joining style. Ryan Smells,
our Fox correspondent in DC, on the return of Joe Biden.
I was wondering where he was right, and he didn't
change much. He's still Joe, and he still whispers and
he still is kind of full of it. So good morning,
Welcome in your thoughts on what happened last night with
his little speech.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Where was he? He was at an event. It was
a conference that raises money for people who are with
disabilities and helps get them resources and all that, and
so this was I mean, it was a pretty restrained speech.
He didn't go where we want him to go, which
is that I think everyone's just kind of waiting for
him to sit down and explain what happened with his
(00:42):
decision to leave the twenty twenty four campaign trail and
kind of what it was like from his vantage point,
and you know, if he blames anybody, and then of
course there's been reporting out there that says that he
still thinks he could have won. So I want to
hear him come out and say that if he actually
thinks that way. So you know, yesterday was kind of
just a restraint speech. He focused on Social Security, didn't
(01:05):
really mention President Trump by name, though he did criticize
the administration pretty extensively. But yeah, for the most part,
didn't really just you know, I don't think it was
too anti climatic.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
So he just basically picked up where he left off
when he left and attacking Trump and the Democrats, not
really bringing any good news about anything they had to
do with the people that he was hanging out with. Listen, God, ask.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Yourself, why is this happening? Why are these guys taking
name in Social Security? Now? Well, they're following that old
line from tech startups. The quote is move fast, break things.
They're certainly breaking things. They're shooting first and even later.
As a result, Brazilt was a lot of needless pain
and sleepless nights. My friend, Governor O'Malley knows what they're
(01:49):
really up to, he says, and I love his quote.
Do you want to wreck it so they could rob it?
Why do they want to rob it in order to
deliver huge tax cuts to billionaires in big corporate reasons
and keep it going please? And we're going to make
permanent the twenty seventeen tax cuts, which overwhelmed mely benefits
the wealthiest Americans and the biggest corporations. That's going to
(02:10):
cost five trillion dollars or are they going to get
five trillion dollars to pay for it.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Let me tell you something, Joe Biden, you better pray
that the Trump text plan goes through here because it
affects all the money that you made off of everything
that you had to go on on in your tenure
in the government. And as far as Social Security goes.
I'll be honest with you, Doge. Cutting back and finding
all the fraud and all the wasteful spending is only
going to ensure that Social Security is bolstered, not go away.
(02:39):
Same with Medicare and everything else they're lying about. Ryan,
I got to tell you, did he even address anything
that had to do with the advocates and the counselors
and the disabled conference he was at in Chicago? It
was just all more campaign speech.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Oh no, yeah, no, he definitely did. I mean, but yeah,
I think people are going to latch onto what he
said related to Trump administration. For all the national media
attention was kind of focused here. Now. One thing that's interesting, Jay,
is that some of our great reporters here at Fox
found out that he actually has made two other public
appearances bence he's been out of office. The other was
(03:14):
it was before a labor union and the other was
before another association. But you know, that didn't really get
any national media attention, which I thought was kind of
interesting if this was the one that everyone watched onto.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
Yeah, interesting there too, because you know what's going on.
I think they're seeing that now's the time to bring
Joe back out. We're getting ready for the midterms, so
you know, we got to start pointing out the bumper
stickers and the sound bites that we're going to be
using against him to switch the house in the Senate.
So let's get going with Joe first, and then we'll
continue to do this. The fact that they're doubling down
constantly and what they monitored for so long and the
(03:48):
American people said no, we're done with that whole mantra,
we don't want you and that whole policy anymore is alarming.
They have no self awareness, but hey, keep it up
and bring AOC up. Maybe she'll be the next president.
Thank you, Ryan, I appreciate you.
