Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ryan Smells joins us now our Fox correspondent in DC
and the latest on the reaction about Miller's terry strikes
on these narcotic boats narco boats. Uh, I say, more
power to our country for taking these people out of
the water. Good, good for them. But what's going on
in Congress. I'm sure there's people going, hey, well, you
can't do this. What's what's up?
Speaker 2 (00:20):
And you left off old miss Alum with that statement.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
That's right, that's right, and that's right hotty toddy to you.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Yeah that was allowed hot Toddy too last.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Night, big time, big time, good time.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
So so yeah, I mean, I would say that Republicans
for the most part, pretty unified on this and pretty
satisfied what they're seeing from the Trump administration. Uh. You know,
some of them yesterday were telling me that they got
a briefing not too long ago from Secretary of Rubio.
I believe it was in there, uh you know, weekly
lunch meeting, and they he kind of gave that laid
(00:52):
out the evidence for and how they're determining, you know,
when to shoot these boats, what constitutes a narco terror boat.
And Republicans seem pretty satisfied with the determination that they
were given. Now the question is going to be, you know,
are they being ready enough? And that's where the accusation
comes from from Rand Paul and Democrats, is that, well,
(01:15):
they're not giving maybe they're not getting enough information from
the administration. There's a question about the legality of this.
So you know, there's a little bit of pushback, I
would say on there. It's minor on the Republican side,
it's fairly extensive on the Democrat side. So you know,
we'll see ultimately where it ends up.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Yeah, I looked. I love how the Democrats respond with us,
like where's the due process are? They're just willy nilly
in the Do you think the United States of America
is acting and blowing things out of the water without
having any intel or any data to prove these people
are who they are and what they are. I mean,
it's a ludicrous accusation from the Democrats, and you would think,
(01:54):
you would think, but then you look around at democratically
run cities that they would applaud law enforcement their job
to keep us safe and getting the drug cartels, you know,
in a position where they can't operate like they used
to the line in the sand has been drawn by
this president and told everybody coming in, I'm going to
fix the drug flow into this country. It is a
war on drugs. That's all there is to it. So
(02:15):
he's standing up behind what he, you know, campaigned on.
So Ryan, thank you so much for the update and
I appreciate you. Buddy, Hotty Toddy to you.
