Speaker 1 (00:00):
Joining us. Fox Sports found Evan Brown on what's happening
with the Secretary of State Marco Rubio heading to Israel. Evan,
welcome in, thanks for being here.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Good to be with you.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Now the President's leaving tonight, heading to Asia, and now
it looks like our Secretary States off to Israel. I
would imagine to continue the negotiations and discussions.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Yeah, well he's there, already there. He was speaking with
reporters earlier today, a couple hours ago, and he's reiterating
what I think the administration has been saying for quite
some time, that they are committed to this peace process,
that they will enforce it, and that Hamas is in
the middle still overturning the deceased hostages and that is

(00:43):
taking some time, but there is acceptable progress and that
you'll have to take it from there after that step
is completed. Addressing the idea or the point being made
that Hamas is already saying they will not abide by
point two, and that is to disarm. And he has
stated what the President has said and what the Vice
President said the other day, that if Hamas does not

(01:05):
agree to proceed, they'll be obliterated and really isn't anything
that anyone can do about it at this point. At
this point, Hamas has really run out of any acceptable
cover from either the Arab countries or Western Europe in
the UN, which has provided diplomatic cover for it for decades.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
You know, I just kind of get the feeling, Evan
that if Hamas feels like a trapped rat in a corner,
as you just described, there's really no options for them
at this point. I feel like they're going to go
down swinging and killing till they're very into They probably will.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
They probably will. They are violent, vicious terrorist hottists who
have no desire for peace. They say that over and
over again. Is I don't know why people refuse to
listen to them when they say when they tell us
who they are. And so the question is is can
they be pressured into not fighting anymore? And the answer

(02:01):
is maybe yes. We've never and in the Senate Secretary's
words just a few hours ago, we've never been this
far along in the process before. Really, So there may
be ways to properly contain and depose them without further fighting,
without further bloodshed, but it's gonna take a lot of
pressure from all sides, and namely from the Arab golf countries.

(02:25):
So you know, I think people are willing to play
this out. But if Hamas doesn't play around, doesn't play
you know, doesn't come along, that's it for them. And
there's really nothing anyone can do about this because everyone
gave them one last chance. I think there's a real
distaste for them now in the Arab golf countries, especially
with the younger generation of leadership emerging there that sees

(02:47):
Hamas a for what it is, b for its failures
to you know, do what it promised to do, and
that is eliminate Israel and establish an Arab state in
that land, and as a real impediment for economic prosperity
and further integration of the Middle East into the world economy.
So you know, the older generation of Arab leaders may

(03:11):
have made the Palestinians their pets. The younger generation has
an interest in seeing less bloodshed, but really ultimately wants
Hamas out of the way because Hamas has prevented them
from integrating their economies into the rest of the world.
It tells me what I tell you. Round prints of
Saudi Arabia and the president of the UAE want nothing
more than to build, build, build, and bring in investment, investment,

(03:35):
investment from Europe, from the Americas, from you know, and
to widen their own footprint as builders. And Hamas and
jihadism at large has prevented that for so long, and
they're done with it.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
I agree with you. You know, it's just like round
up to me. You know how we got rid of ices, right?
The president annihilated them in his first term, But they're back.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
You know.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
It's like when I spray round up, weeds are gone.
Look at that, and by golly, and give me three
months and I'm coming back at you and here come
the weeds again. So yeah, I think Hamas may be
annihilated at this point at some point, but watch out.
In the next presidential term, they'll be back, no doubt.
Evan Brown, Thanks buddy, have a good weekend.
