Speaker 1 (00:00):
Senator Tommy Tubberville joins us now in a number of
things he's been working on.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Coach, Welcome back in and good to hear from you.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
Good morning, JT. How are you.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Everybody's good here, Hope you're doing well.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
And uh, first, obviously, let's talk what's going on with
Iran and Israel. You in the Senate and the Congress
were notified and briefed on Tuesday. You got the rundown
on this whole thing. How did that go? And what
can you bring us?

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Well, it was a great couple of weeks, you know
for the free people of the world, the people of
the world in general, in the United States and are
all of our allies. Of course Israel. Israel did some,
uh did some great work. You know, They've been threatened
for years by Iran. The whole world has been threatened
by Iran with terrorism. And we've lost a lot of

(00:47):
soldiers and a lot of great men and women over
the years because of Iran shenanigans. And they got set
way back by Israel. A lot of their leaders killed scientists,
and then of course President Trump went in and dropped
a lot of bombs on their nuclear plant and three
of them and a lot of damage. Nobody really knows yet.

(01:10):
We can't even talk about how much happened. But I
tell you, what did happen. That's going to set them
back years, and that's what that's the only thing you
can do. They're gonna have an opportunity to build it
all back eventually, but they don't have a bomb right now.
They don't have access to putting a bomb together. And
that's what this was all about.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Well, and on the back end of this too, everybody
from President Trump to Marco Rubio to Pete Haigseth said,
you know, yeah, like you mentioned, you can certainly try
and come back and rebuilding all this, but you know,
you've certainly got a little taste of what will happen,
and it's going to happen worse next time. And isn't
it just crazy? No surprise how the Democrats responded all this.

(01:49):
And I'm getting texts from Democrats going, oh, they don't
have any real proof of what exactly happened here, he says, obliterated.
I mean, are we going to argue semantics after we
have three you know what six bunker busting bombs? Are
twelve of them? I don't know how many were actually
threw out them. But good lord, I mean, are you
kidding me? Arguing that this was a bad move against
the head of the snake of terrorism in the world.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Crazy, Yeah, Yeah, it just shows the hate that they
have for President Trump because he'll take the bull by
the horns and run with it, you know. Yeh, he'll
get things done. Joe Biden and the administration that we
had for four years almost put as under. I mean,
we were really really close to extinction ourselfs, you know,
when they would just little things like Joe Biden in
four years limited what our power plants could produce energy

(02:32):
and you look at the heat wave we've got going
right now. We would have devastating blackouts and things like
that of energy. But nobody really even knows that. But
they limited what capacity are our companies could go to.
So it just it's asinine what these people did, and
for the media to even think about coming after President

(02:54):
Trump on something like this just to show you, you know,
they would rather Trump fail than be successful because he's
actually doing things for the American people.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Yeah, you go from angry on these people that continue
to just push back against on great things he's doing
to almost hysterical and laughter, and it's totally discounted. Now
they're really rooting their patting coach. I want to ask
you about what's going on with the President's Golden Dome
project here coming to you know a Huntsville with the
you know, the Rocket and Space Center there, the training center, FBI,

(03:25):
Space Force, and Golden Dome. I've heard some rumblings now
from some people saying, all right, if we're bringing all
these people in there, you know there's a bunch of
those folks that are going to be coming in that
are anti Trump Feds. Any concern on that coming here.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Well, that's always a concern, especially the young people that's
been educated in some of these woke universities that we have.
But it is what it is, JT. We've got to
do our job and convincing them that you know, this
is the best country ever and you the youth of
this country or the future, you got to make it better.
But you know a lot of these are going to
be great job coming to a hostile and other areas

(04:02):
in the state because the Golden Dome is coming. We're
spending twenty eight b in the first year out of
this new Reconciliation Bill to get it going. And this
is just pretty much a shield around the United States
of America and Alaska that either comes from space or
comes from the ground. And obviously we have the smartest
people in the world when it comes to defense in Huntsville,

(04:24):
and even more will come and then. But it's going
to eventually cost two to three hundred billion dollars in
next fifteen to twenty years. But it's just the start
of it. Twenty five more b in in the next budget.
But it will mean a lot of growth and a
lot of movement in Huntsville. And again, I know what
you're talking about people bringing different politics, but you know,

(04:46):
hopefully we can get some common sense back in this
country when it comes to a lot of our young people.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Yeah, I'm all about this happening at Redstone and coming
into Huntsville and getting this project going here. Just a
little bit of a concern about the upset of the
rep presentation and changing you know, you know, the voting
in Congress, if you will. So, Senator, I got to
ask you about Jerome Powell. I know you're not a fan,

(05:10):
and even Donald Trump has made some comments about his disapproval,
but pal says, Look, I'm trying to stay out of politics.
I'm trying to do, you know, what's best for the nation.
The tariffs, obviously from Jerome power, are a big concern there.
So your thoughts on are federal reserve. But I want
you to listen to this here first Federal Reserve ERONN.

(05:33):
Powell and Ohio Senator Republican Bernie Morina talking about these
tariffs yesterday on the hill.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Hang on, here we go, Sorry, here we go.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
There will be some inflation from tariffs coming yet, but
over the course of the coming months.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
I just think that you should consider whether you're really
looking at this from a fiscal lens or political lens,
because you just don't like tariffs.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
There, it is right there in front of us, your
thoughts on all this.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Bingo. Burnie Marino is exactly right. I've known Jerome Palaces,
I've been up here. I met him the first week
I was here on the hill, and at that time
he needed to raise rates, but he was so slow
and raised them. He was playing politics. Now you're doing
the same thing on the other end instead of dropping it.
The problem that we're having right now is he's playing
God of saying, well, I think I think the tariffs

(06:25):
are going to cause inflation. Hey, they're not paying you
to think, we're paying you to do what's right for
the American people. And right now what's happening is nobody's building.
Nobody is sulling their homes to upgrade or downgrade because
they've got these two to three percent loans that they
got six seven years ago, and so they're staying status quo.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
If he lowers the rates.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Number one, it would drop our payment of our debt
four hundred billion dollars, if he dropped at one point
four uner bing and you don't think that wouldn't help.
And then of course it would help the American people
with their payments if they've got a f vading loan.
So he's playing politics. He's going to be going in
the short in the near future, we'll have somebody in

(07:06):
there that got some common sense. But this guy's all political.
And again, he dropped rates rap before the election, Kamala Harris,
and inflation was much higher than it is right now.
So fired jerown Pile. I say that every day firing.
We've got to get him gone.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Yeah, you're not on the fence on this one I
know that died.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
No, Well, quickly, this Safe in Open Streets Act that
you're introducing legislation. These idiots that get out there and
protesting block streets and interstates and throw their bodies in
front of trucks and expect, you know, everybody to just
stop the world for them, and all of a sudden
if one gets injured.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Oh, look what they've done. Look what they've done.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
So I'm glad you're coming on and getting something moving
here that can shut this down and punish these people.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
Well. And this has got a lot of movement up here,
not just Republicans from Democrats. We've got a huge problem.
These people think they can jump out on interstates, exits,
any kind of any kind of and stop traffic.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
You can't do that.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
And so in the past it's a misdemeanor and you
can get a ticket. We want to make it a
federal crime. You go to jail, and because you can
cause huge problems of backing up cars and trucks, people
doing crazy things when they're trying to get to work.
And it's not those people's fault. It's the people that
are acting like complete idiots that are jumping out in traffic.

(08:23):
So the shoes got to be on the other foot.
It has got to be the fault of those people.
They got to be arrested, taking the jail, prosecuted and
gone to prison and six eight, ten, eleven, twelve months.
I don't care, but we have got to start prosecuting
these people that are absolutely radicals that want to destroy
our country.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Could not agree more. I've always wondered why law enforcement
doesn't take these people off of those interstate ramps and
busy streets in cities and get them to the sidelines
and if you come back, we're going to jail.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
Here.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
They just kind of, you know, make sure nobody nobody
throws punches or slings bricks or anything. As long as
they just want to lay down in the street in
front of vehicles, you know, it's like, oh, okay, well
they ain't just let them do it. No, I agree
with the coach.
