Speaker 1 (00:00):
Twentieth Hour buddy Stephen Wilford, who is the Gun Owners
of America spokesman, to talk about some crazy bill they're
trying to push through in Connecticut Libville, and once again,
you know, let's blame the gun and the manufacturers and
anybody and everybody except the criminal that picks up the
gun and uses it in the wrong way. Steven, welcome
back in thanks for being here.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
It's great to be on your show again. So they
always try to blame the guns.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
I mean, it's just outrageous here in this move that
Connecticut's doing. I guess they're going to now allow people
to sue gun manufacturers and retail stores at Seldglan's if
they're used in crimes. How where do they connect the
dots on that to make that even feasible to think

(00:46):
about something so stupid?

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Well, so I have personal experience, and uh so, Mike,
is your parents one day before my thirty first birthday
were killed by a drunk driver. He was driving to
Afford Ranger and he was drunk on Budweiser beer. Should
I be able to turn around and sell Ford? Uh?

(01:08):
And you know, get millions of dollars from Ford? Should
I be able to sue Budweiser because this guy misuse
their products.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
It's ridiculous. I mean, is this really got potential to
change where? I mean you talk about people leaving the
state and a heartbeat on something like.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
This, Well, we would we wouldn't have anything manufactured at
all because all the manufacturers of every product that you
can think of, did you know, by FBI standards and
buy FTI stats themselves that more people are murdered every
year by hammers than than rifles rifles in general. So

(01:55):
should we be able to sue the Stanley Tool Manufacturing
for the hammer that somebody might use to beat someone
to death with?

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Yeah, ridiculous. If they pass this, I'm telling you, this
just opens the door for all kinds of other problems
to come into play.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Well, there's already a federal law saying that they can't
do it, and they may try in the state. But
I just don't see how the states are already Henry
Henry Rifles are already leaving where they're from and moving
to Wisconsin. You know, people like Springfield Armory have already

(02:35):
moved to Tennessee. Yeah, you know, there's so many manufacturers
picking up and moving from these liberal states to begin with,
and moving into more friendly states.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
So where are we the process with this bill moving forward?
Is it still in you know, the state Congress and
they're still voting on It's not to the governor's desk.
And what can people do to fight back?

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Well, you can go to gun owners dot org because
I am a national spokesource and for gun owners of
America and we fight all kinds of trannical rules like this,
and you know it's time to stop the silliness and

(03:27):
be part of the solution.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
If you're a gun owner and you want to be
part of the solution, we are the group that is
no compromise. Were the group that is now doing more
than any other pro gun organization there is to fight
for your rights.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Ye, go to gun owners dot org and sign up.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Very good, Well, Steven, I appreciate your efforts and everything
you're doing here. This is zero common sense for this
bill team and be considered moving forward. Blaming the manufacturers
the retail stores for something that the criminal does somebody
is stupid. It's ridiculous.
