Speaker 1 (00:00):
Joining us now is Steve Rosenberg to talk about what's
going on with Israel Appreciation Day.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Steve, welcome in, Thanks for being here.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Good morning, JT. How are you.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
I'm great, I'm glad to have you. So this is
a live global event here, so run us through what
this is all about and how it started and what's
going on.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
So first all, thanks for having me, and I love
the great people of Alabama and role Tide. I guess
I should start by saying that, so.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Hey, what part of the world are you? And Steve, I'm.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Actually believing right now in Texas speaking to a group
of good Texans. And although the Horns are sitting on
the sidelines for the college football playoffs, you know, I
love to see Alabama in and and like I say,
roll Tide. Let's let's show everybody. Let's show all the
haters that the Tide belongs. That's uh, let's start and

(00:51):
and that with the Tide. So isral Appreciation Day started
last year. And the idea really is, let's show the
world that, whether you're Jewish or not Jewish, the fight
for the United States's number one ally really in the
world is a fight for good versus evil, and right
versus wrong, and that's what's taken on in the going

(01:12):
on in the Middle East. And JT. If you and
I went to Israel right now, if we got off
of a plane, and you'd realize, everybody would realize when
you go there, that this is not an oppressor nation.
This is a place where you know, there's people of
all creeds and colors. Gay people live good, free lives.
Arabs live wonderful lives in Israel. They participate in the military,

(01:35):
they participate in government, on sports teams. This is really
a free nation that keeps the world safe and have
provided unbelievable medical technologies, agricultural technologies, financial technologies. You know,
the chip for the mobile phone, the camera for the
mobile phone. Every day we as Americans and people around

(01:58):
the world live with great tech from Israel. But the
media not great people like JT. But the mainstream media
is complicit in the in this narrative that Israel is
the bad guy and we're trying to bring Jews, non Jews,
great Christian evangelicals, just anybody that understands that this is

(02:21):
a flight for right together.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
On February eleventh, I one hundred percent agree with you.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
We are in a spiritual warfare around this globe right now,
I think we've never seen before. But let's focus in
on what's happening, and what's happening with Israel and the
war there, and Gaza Hamas and the Palestinians and this
whole thing. The disputes and the angers and the wars
and the disagreements have been going on for hundreds of years,

(02:48):
and biblically speaking, it will continue until the return of Christ.
So when you talk about this conflict, if you were
sitting at the table with Steve Woodcoff from the President's
team to try and calm things down with net and
Yahoo with leaders from the Palestinians, what would your advice
be to the entire room on how to calm down

(03:11):
and let's try and figure something out here.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
That's a great question, JT. The first thing I might say,
and this may not go over so well, was you know,
with mister Wikoff is let's leave the Kataris out of
this for right now, because I'm not sure so sure
of what side they're on, but let's pretend that.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
They're on our side.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
Is that we've got to stop talking about this two
state solution, right It's a two state delusion is what
I call it and what most people should call it,
because through the Abraham Accords, we have shown that economic
cooperation and collaboration is the way forward. The soony air

(03:50):
of Nations led by the UAE and hopefully the Saudis
will join soon, have proven that that's the path forward,
and we have to expand that. We have to build
upon the Abraham Accords, or, as our president says, the
Avraham Accords, because he likes to talk like that, but
the Abraham Accords are the best way forward, and don't forget.
In two thousand and five, Prime Minister then Ariel Sharon

(04:13):
left Gaza, the most beautiful part of what was then
Israel beachfront property. Gave them the Arabs this beautiful land.
They had their own land. And what did they do.
They voted in Hamas. The next day Hamas ripped apart
the territory and took the materials and began to build

(04:35):
tunnels underneath ground to dig into Israel to kill Jews.
So this was never about land, this was never about
a peace deal. This was always about killing Jews. And
we have to make sure that that narrative gets told
and make sure that the Palestinians understand that if you
want land, you can live in Israel, you can live

(04:56):
wherever you want, but put down your weapons. Put them down.
And that's what this has to be about. And that's
what I think the President is trying to do. But
you need too willing point to JT.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Well.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
I got to tell you, Steve, I love talking with you,
and I'd love to have you back up against the
clock here, but promise you'll come back on with me
in the near future and we'll get deeper and talk
about some other issues going on with anytime.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Anytime, I love it. Just make sure people know that
these Real Appreciation Day dot com is where they can
learn all the information, and it's February eleventh, and hopefully
people will show up. Now.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
I think you're right on the general global perception. A
lot of times, it's not the reality, you know. It's
it's like the two extremes on the right and left
side of politics in our country. That's not the reality
of America as a whole. It's the eighty percent in
the middle, you know, or seventy five percent in the
middle of people that you know, we all kind of
get along and have more in common than we disagree on.

(05:50):
But it's what gets the spotlight and the cameras is
the you know, you know, sensationalism sells, and you know
a lot of times what you think is the real
problem situations like what's happening in Israel is not the truth.
So I'm glad you brought that up, Stephen. We will
have you back for sure, God bless you.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
JT. Really, one last word is you know the news
doesn't report when the planes land safely.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
My friend good point, well said, thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
We'll talk about great DJ. Yeah, bye bye
