Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, just when you thought she faded away into the
California son said, Kabila Harris is back. Oh my gosh.
And she was on Stephen Colbert last night. She's got
a new book out now, she's not going to be
running for governor. She's you know, starting to read the
room a little bit. But I don't get the book.
But Colbert kind of pressed her little bit last night

(00:20):
on the issue who's leaving the Democratic Party. I'm just curious.
There are lots of leaders, and it was generally a
leader of the Democratic Party, you know, like, oh, that's
the leader Donative Party.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Who comes to mind. I think there are a lot
of I'm not going to go through names because then
I'm going to leave somebody out and then I'm going
to hear about it. But let me just let me
say this. I think it is a mistake for us
who want to figure out how to get out and
through this and get out of it, to put it

(00:52):
on the shoulders of any one person. It's really on
all of our shoulders. It really is.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
What get out of what the most successful first six
months of any presidency I can remember since I've been
alive joinings, I'll talk a little bit more about this.
Terry Shilling is here President American Principals Project had a
GOP strategist. Terry, welcome back in Thanks for being here.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Thanks so much for having me.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
All right, Kamala clueless, Kamala apparently not reading the room
once again. And this book it's called what one hundred
and seven days? I guess that's the time she was
in the hunt for the presidency. They are more pages
in the book than there are days that she was
actually running for president. But I don't know why she
decided to run, not run for governor. She thought she

(01:38):
had this lockdown, But what do you think went through
her mind she finally became self aware that that's probably
not going to happen.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Oh no, no, no, I think it's far worse than that. Look,
here's my take on it. Everyone's saying she's getting out
of politics. I actually have the opposite take. I think that,
you know, the next governor California, because of how bad
that state is in they're going to have to make
a lot of bad calls, and being governor would force
her to do a lot of votes and a lot

(02:07):
of actions that would be unpopular in a democratic presidential field.
I think she's geared up to run for president. And
you just need to look at the twenty twenty eight
primary polling for the Democrats. She's leading in every single
one and it's by a huge margin. I think that,
unfortunately for her, the worst place to be right now
in any twenty twenty eight primary contest is first place.

(02:29):
And I think that her advisors, her inner circle around
are all looking at the opportunities to make a ton
of cash. So I think I think this whole tour
that she's doing one hundred and seven days, well, what's
the time. I mean, when is she really trying to
get across She didn't have enough time to run for president.
She wasn't prepared. She wants another go at it, and
she's deluded herself and her inner circle wants to make
a ton of money. I think she's gearing up to

(02:50):
run for president.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
I think she's missing the mark on this one though.
I mean, I kind of believe you that she's still clueless,
you know, but the fact that she's talking about we
were on track to protect our democracy, it's the same
montage of boredomen and lack of knowledge on the American
people's thoughts and where they want to have this country
in their lives right now. It was an overwhelming mandate

(03:14):
for change away from this and to see these Democrats
continue to double down in some cities like this mayor
race in New York and AOC to even take it
further left to me as a gift to the Republicans,
do you think she's got a prayer? I mean, this
close to what they ran us through with Biden's administration,
How you know people aren't going to forget that. They're

(03:35):
going to remember Biden versus Trump and what took place
as far as their administrations and which one was more
winning four years I think, you know, still close to
you know what we had gone through. Do you think
that the American people could really bring her back into
the Really? Where do you think the odds are on this?

Speaker 3 (03:56):
I think she has zero shot of becoming the twenty
twenty eight nominee. Fortunately, I would love her to be
the nominee in twenty twenty eight because she's a disaster. Look,
this is where the polling is at right, and there's
a big difference, and this is three years of how
you know, we are far away from the twenty twenty
eight primary but the disconnect is where the donor class
is the Democratic Party. They do not want to do

(04:18):
another go at Kamala Harris. They're going to look for
another rising star of the Democratic Party, like a Zora
Mam Donnie. Look if Zorammdannie wins in New York City,
I don't think it's out of the question that he
could run for president and twenty twenty eight. Unfortunately, now listen,
I think that you're exactly right. President Trump is winning.
He's delivering for the American people. We just had three
percent GDP growth. We haven't seen those numbers in a

(04:41):
very long time. So unfortunately for the Democrats, I think
they are rudderless. I don't think there's a leader of
their party. I think if there was, it would be
Barack Obama maybe, but it looks like he's even lost control. Look,
I think the future is bright for the Republican Party.
We just need to keep her eye on the ball
and deliver on pop policy wins. That was the big
disconnect with Kamala. She ran on vibes and not on

(05:04):
any policy. If you think about her campaign for one
hundred and seven days, what was she wanting to accomplish
for American people. I don't think anyone could tell you.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
All they do is whine about everything. There's no policy,
there's no agenda, there's no how I can make your
life better as an American citizen. A platform that they
go with it's all about Donald Trump is awful. We
got to get them out. We've got to get this
country back to where we're in control of all the
money and power, and don't we got only give a
rip about you because the Democrats did not show the

(05:31):
American people they really cared about them, or they would
be in office, you know. So I think, yeah, they're disastrous.
I think they're running a mucket's like all these you know,
wild you know, guide wires from a tower that have
just snapped and they're flopping all over the place and
don't know where to go with this. Like you said,
they're right a list. So we'll keep an eye on
them for sure. But once again without policy and without

(05:53):
an agenda besides just buryed Donald Trump, I think they're
going to lose again too. Terry, All right, buddy, thank
you so much. Always going to catch up with you.
A good weekend, you too, Thank you
