Speaker 1 (00:00):
Have you seen the updates mackenzie on what's happening with
the the Louver thieves. Now, apparently they've got more videos
and they keep popping up. They're oh, there they are,
look at them coming down that ladder thing and that's
you know, they're oh, here's a video I'm inside cutting
through this and that. So I think maybe they're you know,
getting close.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Well, you know, the craziest part is I've seen a
lot of people on TikTok that were visiting Paris and
they were filming tiktoks on that side of the loof, yes,
and in the background you see the ladder.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
And you know, I think that the most and I
hate to call it brilliant, but you know what I mean.
I mean, in this sense, they got away with it
because it looked like a normal construction operation in broad daylight.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Yeah. Well, there's a bunch of clues now they're popping
up and there's been you know, some veteran detectives that
are jumping in here kind of probe similar cases, and
they've got a lot of different evidence to work with.
They say, now, so things are you know there. I
think they may have some DNA, you know, to be
able to trace in this chief, among the clues the

(00:59):
police have recovered seen us the sensational crime traces of
that DNA on a lot of items that thieves left
behind in their hasty little motorbike getaway. One retired FBI
agent there says, that's a tremendous piece of evidence to
have recovered, to actually have the DNA, and you got
to think maybe that these guys are not one offs

(01:20):
and just sat around one afternoon watching football game and decided, Hey,
you know what you ought to do, why don't we
go with those Crown jewels.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
I don't think that they're right.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
This is a master plan. Yeah, and I would imagine
their background has probably got some criminal activity on it.
Maybe they've been popped before and are in the system.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
They could be wanted for other things soon caught yet.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Well, the DNA which the investigators are analyzing and hopefully
to the identity of these guys, was found in one
of the helmets and one of the gloves the thieves
left behind. Did you not learn one thing from the
OJ trial pick up your gloves when you're leaving. I mean,
what are you doing leaving these things behind? The French
police in charge of this investigation said, oh, yeah, we're

(02:03):
getting closer and closer. And one person said, if it
we're you know, here in the United States, we'd certainly
be running that DNA through what they call it. You know,
the code is database and it's got everything in it.
You can imagine when it comes to that database. And
if that didn't work, then you know, we'd go investigate genealogy,
where we'd actually be using commercial DNA databases and running

(02:26):
the DNA evidence collected through these databases to try and
find a match in it. If it's not direct, then
maybe second, third, fourth generations. So it's amazing what they
can do with DNA and where it takes them and
getting these guys. But I'm not sure they're still in France.
I think they've actually gone to Florida. Did you see
this story here? Masked robbers now cut a hole in

(02:49):
the roof of a Florida mall and stole hundreds of
pairs of sneakers. Now it's no Crown Jewels, but I
mean you get some Mayor Jordan's gone.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
I mean, yeah, that might be them.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
You're right, it's nothing else. This crew deserves, you know,
credit for their effort, I guess. But these thieves kind
of hole right through the concrete roof of a floridam
all dropped in to steal four hundred to five hundred
pairs of Nike and new balanced sneakers worth about fifty grand.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Whoa, I was thinking, maybe you know, twenty pairs of
sneakers five hundred Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Yeah, it is a big When this one happened to
early Tuesday morning at Champs Sporting Goods store inside that
treasure Coast Ball and Jensen Beach, Florida, the sheriff there
said the crime seemed like something out of the mission
impossible and compared it to, you know, to the recent
Louver jewelry heist.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Right.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
The thieves use these electric tools to like a grinder
to kind of saw through the roof, and then they
worked for hours without being detected.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
I mean, I mean, what did they take a mac
truck to them all? Because how do you physically move
four hundred to five hundred pairs of sneakers.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Right, and how do you cut through cement roof without
being you know, nobody's picking up on that sound, I
mean just doing repairs, I guess, you know, and I
think that's why a lot of people at the loof
saw the ladders and you know, broad daylight. Clearly nobody's
going to try and break into this place in broad daylight.
I bet they're fixing the air condition or something. And

(04:10):
it's just gonna be honest.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
I wouldn't have even batter deny.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
At that, right. Yeah, So I don't know. These grinders
and stuff on this thing in Florida is just I
guess you just kind of right it off as construction
going on here. But they bagged the sneakers, threw them
off the roof and load them into a ghetaway vehicle.
Though some of the goods were left behind. It's going
to cost about ten thousand dollars just repair the roof.

(04:34):
Cops said these criminals organized possibly traveling thieves who made
their way to this county, perhaps from Paris.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
So they haven't gotten those people yet yet.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
They've never been seen together. I'm just saying, yeah, no,
they don't have these guys either or girls. What if
it's a team of women in their ninja outfits.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (04:55):
I five? Yeah, all right,
