Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Uncle Henry Show weekday afternoons from five till seven.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Thank god, I had a nervous breakdown this morning. Uh,
I'd like to craig words, anxiety attack, whatever you call it,
any wanting things, you know, and when you can't handle
it no more?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
You know.

Speaker 4 (00:31):
The message deleted.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
This is the Uncle Henry Show here on news Radio
seventy ten WNTM. Thank you. I appreciate very much you
listening to the Uncle Henry Show once again. Here we
are together, me and you trying to figure out what

(01:43):
is going on in the world around us. And quite
a day, quite a bit of excitement, as we had
municipal elections all over the state of Alabama yesterday, over
one hundred and forty cities going to the polls and vote,
and lots of interesting results to go over for Mobile,

(02:04):
Alabama heading into a runoff next month, your next mayor
of Mobile. Turns out, the next mayor of Mobile is
going to be one of two people going to be
representative Barbara Drummond or former Judge Spiroucher A goddess, those
are the two that you have to choose from in
terms of mayor in Mobile. I have to I'm saying

(02:28):
I'm not surprised by the results because people were telling
me this is what the results were going to be about.
I guess starting about two weeks ago, people were telling
me this is how it's gonna turn out, this is
how it's of course, I I uh, at this point
believe after the fact, when it comes to politics and
how things are going to turn out, I now take

(02:50):
nothing for granted. I don't draw conclusions or make assumptions.
I just wait to see does it happen or not.
And those people that told me that were right. But
some surprises for me. Now, you're probably not surprised, but
I was surprised, genuinely surprised to see that County Commissioner

(03:11):
Connie Hudson came in fourth place. Maybe I'm sure, I
guess you're not surprised. I was surprised by that. I
really was. Just after all those years, I just did
not see her coming in last place. Now, I didn't

(03:32):
necessarily see her making the runoff, but coming in fourth place,
that was quite a shock.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Now.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
I had callers way back when she announced. I had
a couple of callers call the Uncle Henry Show and
leave messages telling me that this is what's going to happen?
I think l D the retired Mad Trucker, called in
and told me that she wasn't going to do well,
and longtime caller Buford called in Newmerous Times to tell

(04:01):
me that she wasn't going to do well. But uh,
I didn't. I never expected that they were going to
be completely and totally right about that. So that was
a big shock to me, the fact that Connie Hudson
came in in fourth place. And so now who are
the Connie Hudson and Paul Prime voters going to go for?

(04:25):
Who are they going to go for? Two five to
one four seven nine two seven two three. The telephone
number that's two five one four seven nine two seven
two three. Email address Uncle Henry atiharmdia dot com. I've
had some callers already call in and leave reactions via
voicemail messages. We'll get to those. Also, you can call
in with your, uh your reactions or predictions on how

(04:46):
things are going to turn out. Would love to hear
your predictions on all that. Also, today there was a
Mobile City Council meeting. I'll provide you very very limited
coverage of that as we move on here on the
Uncle Henry Show. But first let me get to a
living caller two five one four seven nine two some
two three Hello caller.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
Uncle Henry.

Speaker 5 (05:10):
John McNeil roll tied Row.

Speaker 6 (05:13):
Well tied roll before getting the election. I just did
you get my uh did you get my voice message that?

Speaker 4 (05:21):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (05:22):
I did, John McNeil, thank you very much. I appreciate
very much. Every year John McNeil is kind enough to
offer some Alabama tickets, and so John McNeil has offered
some Alabama tickets for the upcoming season. John McNeil, thank
you so much. You've made my wife very very happy.

Speaker 6 (05:40):
Well, I didn't. I didn't send them to you. I
sent them to your wife.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Yes, I understand that. I understand that.

Speaker 6 (05:47):
I know you don't smoke cigars, but you're going to
the Tennessee game. Yes, you gotta have a cigar just
to have it for pictures.

Speaker 5 (05:53):
You know that that is true. And we will make
sure that there will be cigars available if if we're
allowed in a stadium with them.

Speaker 6 (06:01):
Yes, oh yeah, you can take them in anyway. I've
about the election first thing, and foremost, I am so
disappointed in the mobile turn out or an election. This
is a big election. I mean, this is a big election,
and what do we have? Thirty seven thousand people turned out?

(06:21):
Is that what the total was?

Speaker 5 (06:22):
I don't remember the exact total. I know that it
was way below the potential number, way below who could
have voted.

Speaker 6 (06:31):
Yeah, and that is embarrassing because we can't complain about
what goes on in our community, or our state or
our country if we don't go out and vote and
elect people who are going to do the right thing.
And it's up to us. There are employees, we hire
them by voting for them. And if you don't go vote,

(06:54):
you don't have to say so in what's going on,
and you can't complain about what's going on if you
don't like so. I'm just uh, I just want to
throw my two bits in on that people need to
go vote.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
Well, uh, I agree with everything you had to say,
but it turns out this is the way it seems
to turn out more and more often these days.

Speaker 6 (07:15):
Well hopefully on the what is it, September twenty third? Yeah, yeah, okay,
So get out and vote people. I don't care who
you vote are, just get out and vote. It's your
civic duty. And then get back to what's most important.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
And that's football Roll Roll.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
John McNeil, good talking to you. Thank you very much,
John McNeil. There he goes John McNeil, Mobile Bay Financial
Solutions two five one four seven nine two three. The
telephone number here on the Uncle Henry Show, by the way,
and I do have a collar caller. I've only got
a minute before we go to break. Do you want

(07:54):
to hold on?

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Hold?

Speaker 5 (07:59):
Oh you okay? Alright, well great, hang on and you
will lead us off when we come back from the break.
We have a caller who sounds just from that brief interaction,
sounds sober. We're going to get to that caller when
we come back. Here on NewsRadio seventy ten WNTM with
more on the results yesterday. As I mentioned, I've got

(08:19):
all kind of reaction to share with you. I say,
I was surprised Connie Hudson came in fourth. I was
also surprised that William Carroll did not go to reelection.
I am surprised because as the last few years have

(08:41):
gone by, I thought he was getting slightly less annoying.
I don't know what happened.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
There much for uggside. This is the Uncle Henry Show
on news Radio seven WNTM.

Speaker 5 (09:17):
It says the Uncle Henry Show here on news radio
seven to ten WNTM. It's five twenty we have we
have news headlines coming up in ten minutes. If you'd
like to look at video of this show, which is
not really there's nothing exciting going on here to look at,
but if you'd like to look, you can find the
Uncle Henry Show on YouTube streaming on YouTube live on

(09:40):
The Uncle Henry Show YouTube channel two five one four
seven nine two seven two three. The telephone number, we
have a caller waiting. Hello, caller, Hey on Henry, Hey there,
thank you for holding Hey.

Speaker 7 (09:57):
Yeah, my pleasure. I'd like to I'll go ahead and
land the plane here. I'd like to chime in on
call that you've had yesterday and their first caller today.
It has to do with the voting. But first off,
I love your show. I've never thought that I could
learn so much or being so intrigued about learning about

(10:19):
snakes and raccoons and potholes and that sort of stuff.
You know, you got some characters.

Speaker 8 (10:25):
That call you.

Speaker 7 (10:26):
But I love mobile, I love the history. I love
that I'm relatively new to the area and love the history.
The food, the people, the culture. But I've got a
sour taste in my mouth about yesterday what happened. I'm
feeling mighty this enfranchised. I love this place. In my

(10:48):
call was about the gentleman yesterday that went to his
precinct to vote, which I gladly do, and it is
your civic duty. I look at it that way. I
went to my precinct to vote, and there was only
a couple of cars there because my precinct was was moved.

(11:12):
I vote at the Hollanders Island Elementary School. I voted,
you know, even though I'm fairly new here. I voted
a couple of times already, and I was not contacted.
I had no idea. I'm very informed. I I watched,
you know, I watched the news constantly and everything here.

(11:35):
I did not know they changed my polling location. So yesterday,
as the gentleman earlier that the first caller said, if
you don't vote, you can't complain. Why, I dog gone
tried my best to vote, and I am complaining, and
I'm upset that I could not vote yesterday. Now granted
it was I worked late, so I could. I don't

(11:55):
know if I can go to other polling places. But
I wasn't there one Uncle Henry.

Speaker 9 (12:01):
There were several of us, and we're all scratching.

Speaker 7 (12:03):
Our heads, look at each other and saying, what the
heck is going on here? And we said, where you
re notified or were you informed at their polling place
had changed, and we're all We're like, we're all pretty
upset about it. Actually, because I wanted to vote.

Speaker 5 (12:18):
I get that vote. Yeah, I get that, you know.

Speaker 7 (12:22):
So anyway, I'm gonna call tomorrow. I got a doctor's appointment,
so I'm gonna call the voting people and find out
what the heck's going on, you know, because I wasn't
basically not allowed to exercise my right as you know,
an American problem at that, thank you, And I'm just,

(12:42):
you know, I need to find out because especially with
the mayor oral election. I live here, so dog gone right,
I'm want to vote, you know, just for who's in charge.

Speaker 9 (12:52):
Yeah I'm allowed to.

Speaker 5 (12:54):
Yeah, well, hey, first i'd be mad to uh. And
there were lots of polling place has changed because they
did redistricting in the last four years, so there were
a lot of people that had different polling places. But
as you heard the man called yesterday. Uh, he had
never gotten any notice that his his polling place had changed,

(13:15):
just like have I right?

Speaker 7 (13:17):
So have I and trusted me, I'm on top of
that sort of stuff.

Speaker 5 (13:20):
Well, when you when you call, please let please call
back and let me know what you were told, because
I'd like to hear how they interact with you and
what they tell you.

Speaker 8 (13:29):
I will.

Speaker 7 (13:30):
And I've looked here by the Dog River, and you
know this. I've lived here for now going on four years.
And trust me, I haven't told anybody from my home
state of Florida, which I love. I haven't told anybody
about it because I don't want this place to get
all crowded. And I won't take up any more time. Okay,
I'm from Florida. I'm still going to say this, Uncle Henry,

(13:52):
roll Tide.

Speaker 5 (13:53):
Roll Tide. Thank you, sir very much for your phone call.
I appreciate you getting in touch with the Uncle Henry show.
Hate that happened to you. You can't. I'm sure you'll
be able to vote in the runoff, so you will
have a say. It may not now, the two that
are in the runoff may not have been your choices,
but runoff, turnoff, runoff, turnout. Run off turnout is always lower.

(14:20):
Your vote is going to be even more important in
the runoff because it is it is always difficult to
get people to show up for these runoffs. So this
is going to be a big battle of who can
turn people out and get them excited to go and
vote again. So, sir, you're I know it's no consolation,

(14:40):
but your vote in the runoff will have much more impact,
maybe even more than it would have had yesterday. So
I know that's small consolation to you, but you still
have an opportunity to have a big impact on who
will lead the City of Mobile in the next few years.
Two five, one four up nine two three The telephone

(15:01):
number here on the Unclamory Show.

Speaker 9 (15:02):
Hello caller, Hey are you today?

Speaker 5 (15:06):
I'm doing good?

Speaker 9 (15:07):
Thank you great.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
Uh.

Speaker 9 (15:11):
I wanted to uh talk about this notorious uh concept
of black face, of what black face?

Speaker 5 (15:25):
Black face?

Speaker 9 (15:26):
Black face?

Speaker 10 (15:27):
Okay, Uh, you know when uh.

Speaker 9 (15:32):
When whenever happens, Uh it's revealed that you know, somebody
has been doing black face, and then and and it
comes out and everybody knows that. You know, black people,
especially political people, black politicians, they get all upset. They

(15:52):
you know, they hate it they detested, and white politicians,
white people, they they kind of run from it, you know,
they you know, disowned it. Whatever right it's but it's
a it's a concept that nobody likes, okay, And and

(16:16):
that's what has happened, in my opinion, to the Democratic Party.
They have put on the black face. You know, everybody
that most of the people that are that are spoke
uh spokespersons for the new Democratic Party or you know,

(16:38):
the Jeffreyes of the world, uh uh, the mayor the
black mayors from all the liberal cities up north and
out west and on the East coast, Chicago, l A,
you name it. And these people are they are the face.

(17:00):
They are the boys of the Democratic Party. And I
think that but that the very same way that people
reject black face, the Democratic Party will be rejected because
you know, that's that's what I see. I see it.

(17:21):
And you have this lady that's running that's could become
mayor of you know, the second largest city, maybe the
second largest city in the state of Alabama, and you
and my opinions, I don't know anything about it, but
she's probably a liberal and she wants to bring all

(17:41):
these concepts she's gonna introduce all these.

Speaker 5 (17:47):
Hey, I'm hang on, I've got to go to break.
I'll be back after the break with you.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Seven times Sabor traffic.

Speaker 5 (17:56):
From the met It says the Uncle Henry Show Here
on news Radio seven ten WNTM. I've been talking about

(18:17):
the results of yesterday's municipal elections. We've got a caller waiting,
and I've got the man that was on the phone
with me as we went to break, and thank you
for hold on. I just want to give you a
moment to explain to people what you're talking about, because
you were building up to a point I think about
Barbara Drummond. Is that correct?

Speaker 9 (18:39):
Yes, I was talking about. You know this, this concept
of black face, how is rejected adamantly by I wouldn't
I wouldn't say black Americans. I'll say African Americans because
there's a difference between African Americans and blacks. Politically. The

(19:01):
African Americans is going to be liberal mostly democratic, places
like people like that and parties like that. Anyone that
refers to themselves as a black person.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
Uh.

Speaker 9 (19:12):
Politically, they're going to be conservative of Republican or whatever. Anyway.
That's the distinction.

Speaker 5 (19:17):
Between the two.

Speaker 9 (19:19):
But yeah, but this black face thing, like I said,
is it's not it's not a good thing. And a
Democratic Party has put their black face on, which means
in the long term, well in the short term, they're
going to be rejected by the country, which is a

(19:42):
good thing. And this this lady Barbara Drummer, like I said,
I don't know anything about her. I don't know her.
I don't know her political beliefs of where she's coming from.
But with her being a part of the political establishment,
being a Democrat, I would bet bottom dollar that she's

(20:04):
she believes in the in the same thing, in the
same programs that the national political Party does. And so
I can see mobile going down a drain hold if
we put this lady in office. You know, it's introducing
all these different far out concepts and programs and things

(20:28):
like that. Get ready for it. If if if you
fall for it, I think you need to reject this
black face that the Democratic Party has put on. Uh.
And that's the that's the point that I want to make.

Speaker 5 (20:46):
Okay, Hey, well I'm gonna I've got other callers, but uh,
please call back in the future if you want, If
you want to go, if you want to explain further
or talk about another issue. Oh sure, all right, Hey,
thank you very much for your phone call too. Fine
one four seven nine, two seventy two three here on
the Uncle Henry Show. Now the caller before call her,
hang on before I get to my next caller. The

(21:07):
man just said that he's not sure what Barbara Drummond's
opinions are on certain things. She hasn't come to be
a guest on this show yet. She might do that
before the runoff. I did find a press conference that
she was a part of a few years ago, and
I think I'm going to play it for you right

(21:29):
after six o'clock this evening on the Uncle Henry Show.
Here is a little clip. This is just a tease
of what she was talking about in that press conference
a few years ago.

Speaker 11 (21:42):
I cannot overstate the danger that Donald Trump and the
Maga Republicans agenda poses for our nation's future.

Speaker 5 (21:51):
All right, there was just a just a clip, just
to let you know that she's talked in her press conference.
She was talking about the danger of the Maga Republicans.

Speaker 11 (22:02):
I cannot overstate the danger that Donald Trump and the
Maga Republicans agenda poses for our nation's future.

Speaker 5 (22:11):
All Right, we'll have more on that after six o'clock
here on the Uncle Henry Show two five one, four, two.

Speaker 10 (22:18):
Three, Hello, Color, Good evening, Uncle.

Speaker 5 (22:22):
Henry Bert Bert, you are live on the radio. Uh.

Speaker 12 (22:27):
First of all, I want to say about Barbara Drummond.
I used to read her columns in the Press Register.

Speaker 9 (22:33):
All the time.

Speaker 5 (22:33):
Me too.

Speaker 12 (22:35):
She definitely leans to the left, but she didn't seem
to me to be part of the looney left, the
far left, Okay, so I would I would trust her
not to go way out and left field. Now she
may prove me wrong on that if if she does
get elected, but I don't think she's part of the extreme,
the extreme wing of the Democrat Party.

Speaker 5 (22:55):
Okay.

Speaker 12 (22:55):
I just want to comment briefly on the tragic school
shooting today, the church school shooting.

Speaker 13 (23:00):
Yes, what's known so far.

Speaker 12 (23:04):
About the shooter is that he hated Christians, he hated Trump,
and he was infected with the transgender mental illness. Now,
this is the kind of guy that the mainstream media
would paint as a hero. So he doesn't fit their narrative.
So what do they do? They got to blame the

(23:24):
gun right, and that's what you're gonna hear from now.
The gun has got to be blamed if the shooter
doesn't correspond with who they paint as heroes and villains.
And I'm already seeing Facebook posts even before this shooting.
It seems like they magically started to appear about other
school shootings. Let's blame the gun, and that's what they're

(23:48):
going to do.

Speaker 5 (23:49):
Well, Unfortunately, we can predict what they're going to do
because we've had unfortunate experience with all this.

Speaker 12 (23:58):
Exactly all right, well, Bert, thank you, thank.

Speaker 5 (24:02):
You, thank you, Bert for listening to the show and
for calling the show. Let's see we have another caller here. Hello, caller,
Uncle Henry L. D. The Mad Trucker.

Speaker 10 (24:16):
Actually it's Stephen Brelan.

Speaker 5 (24:17):
But Stephen, now you almost you almost sounded like the
Mad Trucker. Stephen Breland. You are live on the radio, Stephen.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
Uh.

Speaker 10 (24:25):
So, yesterday turned out exactly as I thought it was
going to turn out. And my message is for the
folks who voted for Tonnie and Paul, who both ran
I thought great campaigns, did well. But unless they want
a Sam Jones two point oh, they have to get

(24:47):
back out on the turn on the runoff day and
vote for Spiro even if he's not there guy. And
you know, they're they're they're upset and said that, you know,
theirs didn't win. It's they have to get out because
if they don't get back, if folks do not get
back out and vote and run off, we're going to
have Sam Jones two point zero and this city will

(25:07):
take a massive step backwards.

Speaker 5 (25:12):
Well, you know, that's it's interesting you mentioned this because
I think the prime voters are going to decide this.
Whoever they decide to go for is going to win.

Speaker 10 (25:25):
Yes, And just trolling through the socials today, it seems
like that they're they're they're split amongst themselves. Some are saying,
you know, choose the lesser of two evils. Some are
saying vote for Barbara just to stick it to the man,
and some are saying just stay home. And you know,
I get folks who still in their feelings right now.

(25:46):
I mean I would be two but between now in
the twenty third September, I think folks really need to
take a step back and look at this thing from
a ten thousand foot view of the greater good of
the city.

Speaker 5 (25:59):
Well, they've got they've got a few weeks here to
think about it. But yes, I, as I said, I
believe the prime voters are going to be the ones
that really decide this. I think so. Uh both both
Spiro and Barbara Drummond are going to need to court
those prime people.

Speaker 10 (26:16):
Yes, sir, absolutely so. But uh yeah, you just got
to hammer home folks. You've got to get back out,
You've got to go vote again. You've got to do
it all.

Speaker 5 (26:24):
Right, Steven, Hey, thank you for listening, Thank you for calling.

Speaker 10 (26:28):
Yes, sir, have a your day, you too.

Speaker 5 (26:29):
There you go, Steven Breeling. Let's see, do I have
time before I go to break to play one of
the many voicemails. Let's see, Yeah, here is the mad Trucker.
I thought that was the mad trucker called in, but
he was one of the two people that called in
and predicted to me that Connie Hudson was not going

(26:52):
to do well.

Speaker 10 (26:54):
Hey, uncle Henry L.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
D Well, what I tell you?

Speaker 10 (26:58):
I was right?

Speaker 4 (26:58):
Wasn't I wasn't I right? I sit there and I
told the entire city of Mobile, Alabama, that Connie Husson
was one thing and one thing only.

Speaker 8 (27:08):
She was Jeff Bush energy, which is low energy.

Speaker 4 (27:13):
Nobody wanted an old woman running this town.

Speaker 5 (27:17):
Now wait a second. You know I wouldn't want to
call any of these ladies old. You know, Barbara Drumming,
she's a mature she's of mature years.

Speaker 14 (27:28):
Apparently, Barbara Drumming.

Speaker 8 (27:31):
Barbara Drumming is old as she is.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
She's got some sort of spunk in the city of Mobile.
May May they may choose her.

Speaker 13 (27:38):
As the mayor.

Speaker 4 (27:39):
But Connie Husson, O.

Speaker 13 (27:43):
Lou Loue.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
Energy.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
Just get any word of a crash in.

Speaker 5 (28:00):
It, says the Uncle Henry Show. It is five point
fifty news headlines coming up in ten minutes. I want
to mention to you that you can hear me on
FM radio. I'm on ninety five ks Jay, playing Today's
Hottest Country every weekday, Monday through Friday between ten and two.

(28:25):
This week giving away tickets to see Alabama. The legendary
country music supergroup Alabama going to be a concert in
October in Ghatsha, Mississippi at the sound Amphitheater. Tomorrow, I
will have your chance to win tickets to see Alabama.
Be listening tomorrow in the eleven o'clock hour to win

(28:47):
those Alabama tickets. Now, let's see before we get to
the top of the hour. Here on the Uncle hen Rachelle,
I want to share with you a few more voice
messages about the election results yesterday. Now just share with
you the LD voicemail in the last segment where he
was claiming that Connie Hudson lost. It came in fourth

(29:09):
place due to having low energy.

Speaker 4 (29:12):
It deserves the mayor.

Speaker 9 (29:13):
But Connie Hudson Loo Lou.

Speaker 5 (29:20):
Lou energy low energy. That is the assessment of LD.
The man Trucker. He also had this to say.

Speaker 4 (29:30):
Hey, Uncle Henry, Ald, do you see that?

Speaker 13 (29:34):
Did you see that there's going to.

Speaker 4 (29:35):
Be a runoff Spiro Spiro, Kira Goddess and Barbara Drummonds.

Speaker 10 (29:41):
How about that?

Speaker 4 (29:43):
Well, let me tell you something, Nicle, Henry, if you
really want to win an election, you know what you
gotta do.

Speaker 9 (29:49):
You gotta go to the mad Trucker.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
That's right, Uncle Henry, you got to go to the
mad Trucker, because if you want to win an election,
he's the man that.

Speaker 8 (29:57):
Can get the job done.

Speaker 4 (29:58):
Look, it's Spear. Would just contact me. I'd be happy
to endorse him or Barbara Drummond. I'll endorse her too,
but first I need a boat I would like to
have like a you know, probably twenty foot boat. That
would be fine. I could deal with a twenty foot boat.
It doesn't have to be new long as in the
twenty twenties and above. I'd be just fine with that.

(30:19):
Soot Spiro, if you want to win the selection, go
to the mad Trucker, but go to him with a boat.

Speaker 5 (30:30):
All right. Well, and I guess I'll have to keep
up with ld and see if he ends up with
a boat right from the Mad Trucker to Locksley, Alabama.

Speaker 8 (30:40):
So t.

Speaker 14 (30:42):
Another beautiful day here in Paradise, out here on the
front porch, eighty two degrees with a nice breeze of blowing. Well,
looks like this is one out of town or that
pretty much nailed it on that majorial thing. You's truly
predicted that this Drummond would come out ahead.

Speaker 8 (31:01):
She did.

Speaker 5 (31:02):
Yes, Chris made those predictions yesterday.

Speaker 14 (31:05):
And my personal choice was Spiro, and he's the one
in the runoffs. So I'll go ahead and tell you now,
Drumming will win and it won't be close. It ain't
nothing personal against Spiro. Hey, how can you hate on
our dislike a man his wife sells the best Pride

(31:26):
Chicken year eight before. But I had more to it
than that. So get ready for you, your new mayor,
almost said goubernatorial candidate.

Speaker 8 (31:39):
Barbara Drummond.

Speaker 14 (31:43):
Three more days, Uncle, roll tide row, roll.

Speaker 5 (31:45):
Tide row Chress, sixty eight year old Chris of West Likesley,
thank you for your phone call. He's already predicting a
Drummond victory. And let me see one more voicemail before
I'm out of time this hour.

Speaker 8 (31:57):
Hey, good afternoon. Uncle Henry is rt hey Christ from Locksley.
Likes to talk about the food he eats all the time,
so I figured tonight what I'm having for dinner tonight
is a big play to crow with a slice of
humble pie for dessert. Yeah, I'm the guy who called

(32:22):
at the beginning of the campaign and predicted Connie Hudson
in the landslide. I stuck with her and I voted
for I guess that's the way it goes. So anyway,
I admit it. I admit it, and so but anyway,
could you do me a favor. Babar Drummond has a

(32:45):
TV aed she's been running which she makes three campaign promises,
and that's to increase officers on the street, go after
repeat offenders, and grows small all businesses. Could you save
the audio from those ads? If she does end up

(33:07):
being our next mayor, I think we should hold her
to those promises. Those are things of those three things
Democrats don't do very well at. In fact, they do
the opposite most of the time. So we need to
hold her to that. If she does those things, we'll
be all right.

Speaker 9 (33:28):
But you know, anyway, just wanted.

Speaker 8 (33:30):
To share that which if y'all have a great day
and I'm looking forward to football roll.

Speaker 5 (33:35):
T row tidroll. Thank you, RTI, thank you for listening.
Thank you for calling the boysmail voicemail number two five
one two one six, nineteen seventy six. That's two five
one two one six, nineteen seventy six to leave a
message for the Uncle Henry's show now coming up after
the newsbreak, there's more show and I'll share with you

(33:58):
some Barber Drummond if you're wondering what her political thoughts
are a here's a brief clip.

Speaker 11 (34:06):
I cannot overstate the danger that Donald Trump and the
MAGA Republicans agenda poses for our nation's future.

Speaker 5 (34:48):
This Sysney Uncle Henry show here on News Radio seventy
ten WNTM. Thank you. I appreciate you listening to the
Uncle Henry Show. Yesterday was election day, lots of voting
all over the state of Alabama, over one hundred and
forty municipalities holding elections, including Mobile, Alabama. And now we

(35:13):
know who the two choices for mayor are going to be.
There's going to be a runoff in about a month
and the runoff will be between state Representative Barbara Drummond
and former Judge Spiro Cheri goddis now right now, Barbara
Drummond is the front runner. She is the front runner

(35:33):
in the race. She got the most votes. I don't
have the official totals in front of me, but the
last numbers I saw had Barbara Drummond getting over thirteen thousand,
eight hundred votes and Spiro getting eleven thousand, over eleven thousand,
three hundred votes. So Barbara Drummond the front runner now.

(35:59):
Back in July, I invited all four candidates for mayor
to come in and be interviewed on The Uncle Henry Show.
Two of the four agreed to come in. Representative Barbara
Drummond did not agree to come in, at least not yet.
Maybe one day she'll come by and talk with us.
So I thought maybe in this segment of the show,

(36:20):
we could learn a little bit more about Barbara Drummond.
Since she didn't come in for an interview, I went
and found a press conference that she did back in
twenty twenty three. So this is very brief. We're going
to learn more about Barbara Drummond here because she may
be the next mayor of Mobile. This is a press conference,

(36:42):
very brief press conference that she spoke at back in
December of twenty twenty three. Yes, it was December sixth,
twenty twenty three. There was a Republican debate, a presidential
debate in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and former Senator Doug Jones and

(37:07):
state Representative Barbara Drummond where they held a press conference
in Tuscaloosa the mourning of that debate just to talk
about how bad Republicans are. So here is a very
brief statement from Barbara Drummonds. She talked for about four
minutes at this press conference. At least you'll learn, we'll

(37:28):
learn together what does Barbara Drummond think of Republicans and
Donald Trump and all that kind of stuff. So here
we are Here is Barbara Drummond from December sixth of
twenty twenty three, speaking in Tuscaloosa.

Speaker 11 (37:43):
I cannot overstate the danger that Donald Trump and the
Maga Republicans agenda poses for our nation's future.

Speaker 5 (37:53):
All right, so the danger cannot be overstated. All you
maga Republicans.

Speaker 11 (38:01):
I want to take a little bit, tell you a
little bit about what it's like as a woman to
live in the state of Alabama where there's no reproductive rights,
and how my experience would be the reality for every
woman if America, if America elects Donald Trump or any

(38:22):
of the Republicans that is on the debate stage tonight.
First and foremost, I.

Speaker 5 (38:28):
Want, by the way, the sounds you're hearing in the
background are not me. That was at the press conference.
They had microphone issues at their press conference.

Speaker 11 (38:37):
To start with the facts. When Republicans say that they
wanted to overturn role in order to return the decisions
to the States, they were lying. After successfully gutting fifty
years of legal president that protected America's women's freedom to

(38:59):
make their their own choices and decisions about abortions. Extremist
Republicans aren't stopping there. Every single Republican on stage tonight
is united in supporting banning abortion, and Donald Trump has
the audacity to brag it.

Speaker 5 (39:21):
By the way, he does have a lot of audacity.
I'll about his roll.

Speaker 11 (39:25):
In gutting our fundamental freedoms as a woman in the
state of Alabama and this nation. Without him, Alabama's near
total abortion ban would not be in place. The reality
is is a national abortion ban would have devastating consequences

(39:46):
on the health and the safety of women across this nation.
Restricting access to healthcare puts our lives and our health
at risk, leads to increased race of maternal mortality, creates
a climate of fear among health care providers that impedes

(40:07):
their ability to provide adequate care for women in this state,
and reduces access in all forms of health care. In Alabama,
women have been denied life saving care for miscarriages, health
clinics have been shattered.

Speaker 5 (40:27):
Health clinics have been shattered, and.

Speaker 11 (40:30):
Our Attorney General has threatened that he will prosecute anyone
who even helped someone to travel out of state to
receive the care that they so need. For us, abortion
bands aren't political issues, They're fundamental questions of our freedom,

(40:51):
our freedom as women in this country and in the
state of Alabama. So this is the contrast that voters
will be confronted with when they cast their votes in
twenty twenty four. Republicans are running on the anti freedom agenda,
are taking away the rights and dictating women's private health care.

(41:14):
Freedom or Democrats or do you want Democrats who are
committed to making sure people have rights, not fewer rights.
Time and time again, voters in every corner of the country,
they've rejected the Republicans extreme anti abortion agenda.

Speaker 5 (41:33):
Now they didn't. Now, maybe time and time again they did,
But in the last election in twenty twenty four, they
actually did not reject it. Do you remember that, You remember,
I think every swing state when for President Trump. But anyway, and.

Speaker 11 (41:48):
They're rejected again in twenty twenty.

Speaker 5 (41:50):
Four, but they didn't.

Speaker 11 (41:52):
But anyway, as a woman in a state where that
we have no freedom.

Speaker 5 (41:57):
Oh okay, So Barbara Drummond, they're saying that as woman
in Alabama, women have no freedom here, she has no freedom,
but she is free to run for mayor.

Speaker 11 (42:08):
I think there's a dire call that we have got
to fight in twenty twenty four, that we fight for
an agenda that not only will we restore freedom to
women and also restore healthcare to those women, but also
take away the extreme magas agenda to cause chaos not
only in the country but in women's lives. So I

(42:29):
thank you for being here this month.

Speaker 5 (42:32):
Okay, All right? There she was from twenty twenty three,
Barbara Drumming State Representative Barbara Drummond, who may she's the
front runner right now for mayor of Mobile, talking about
those dad gum maga dad gum maga Republicans restricting freedoms
and causing chaos and all that kind of stuff. So

(42:52):
I just thought you this is a way to find
out more about Barbara Drummond and all the kind of
things that are on her mind. Possibly Mobile's next mayor
depending on how you vote. All right, back with more
Uncle Henry's show after the break here on news Radio
seventy ten. Let's take the break, it Saysney Uncle Henry

(43:40):
Show here on news Radio seven ten WNTM. News headlines
coming your way in ten minutes, should you choose to
continue to listen to news Radio seven ten WNTEN. Before
we get to those news headlines, let me check some voicemail.

(44:01):
The voicemail numbers two five one two one six, nineteen
seventy six. That's two five one two one six, nineteen
seventy six to leave a message for the Uncle Henry Show.
Here's an other voicemail from LD, the retired Mad Trucker,
A voicemail about the election results from yesterday. I believe

(44:22):
this has to do with the Spanish Fort municipal election.

Speaker 4 (44:27):
Hey Uncle Henry LD.

Speaker 8 (44:30):
Well you heard the results right?

Speaker 4 (44:32):
The mayor of Spanish Fort. Oh slappy, Oh slappy got
backhanded tonight, did he not? Did he not take it
on the gym? Oh Mike McMillon, Oh slappy? Well, it
seems like when you hit people, they hit back harder.
So goodbye Slappy?

Speaker 5 (44:54):
All right? Well, I know you know, I'd not heard
that nickname before, and he seemed to do that. Mayor
seemed to do quite well after the alleged slapping incident,
but not well enough I guess to keep his position
as mayor.

Speaker 8 (45:09):
LD.

Speaker 5 (45:10):
Thank you for your voicemail. Voicemail number two five one
two one six, nineteen seventy six. Here is another message
phoned into the Uncle Henry Show.

Speaker 13 (45:21):
Hey, ol, Well Henry, I've got two items. I'd like
to ask you about two items.

Speaker 3 (45:29):
One of them is the water board in picture that
was in hot water. They just seemed to have fell
off the news. I've heard no more about it. Maybe
I missed it.

Speaker 5 (45:43):
Okay, I'll pause you there before I find out what
item number two is. Are you talking about the Pritchard
Waterboard they remain. I think I saw him in the
news a few weeks ago. I know it was this month.
They were in the news because there is a legal
battle going on between the Prichard water Board and the

(46:05):
court appointed administrator who is running their their water system.
And I know that there was a there is a
proposal for Malls to take over. I think the the court,
the court appointed person in charge, the coint apported administrator,

(46:30):
has proposed that Malls take over the Prichard water system,
and uh, Malls, I don't, I don't. I don't know
if Malls wants to do that. I don't think Malls
has committed to do that anyway. Anyway, they were in
the news earlier this month because the City Council of Pritchard,

(46:52):
I think, wanted to support that water board in their
court battle with that administrator. So where where's gonna end up.
I have no idea where it's going to end up.
There's still a lot of chaos involved in that whole situation,
but it has been they have been in the news
this month, the Pritchard water boarders. They're still trying to

(47:14):
figure out what to do with that terrible situation. I
feel badly for these citizens that have to use water
through all of that. Just years of neglect, years of mismanagement,
and they still haven't figured out what they're going to do.
All right, back to your voicemail, you said you had
another thing you wanted to ask me.

Speaker 3 (47:33):
About, and the other is this Federal.

Speaker 13 (47:39):
Reserve governor the Trump trying to fire. Yeah, well she's
just said he doesn't have the authority to do it,
but she's not denying what she's been accused of. So
I don't know. If Trump don't have the authority, who does.

Speaker 5 (48:03):
All right, Well, sir, thank you for your voicemail. Voicemail
number two five one two one six, nineteen seventy six.
That's two five one two one six, nineteen seventy six.
Now I don't know. See, I don't have all the
answers or any of them. Actually, I don't know who
has the authority to fire that lady. A lot of
people say that President Trump does have the authority to

(48:24):
fire her. And this, like many other things, will end
up in a long court case where it'll go. Who
knows if it'll end up at the Supreme Court or
what level of federal appeals court, but I'm sure it'll
go up to the court system as to whether or
not Donald Trump has the authority to fire the lady.

(48:49):
But that lady has hired I think Hunter Biden's lawyer
to defend herself in all of this. And if you
the listener, have missed the state hard to miss. But
this is a lady that folks are claiming that she
is a she's there working for the Fed, and people

(49:12):
are claiming that she has committed mortgage fraud. So we'll
find out. She's got that to worry about. And she's
also got President Trump firing her from her job because
of the allegations of mortgage fraud. So we'll all find out.
Just just have to wait for all these things to
work their ways through the court. All right, sir, thank

(49:33):
you for your voicemail. Out of time for this edition
