seventy ten WNTM. Thank you so much for listening to
the Uncle Henry Show and today a treat for me
and for you. Killer Bees is back, Killer Bees, thank
you for coming in.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
Hey, thank you very much. Love that opening music. Have
you heard the live version of that? I have not
heard the live version. It's a little bit better. It
is lit, full of emotion and passion, virtuosity.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
That is fantastic. To look for the line version as
quickly as possible on now. Killer Bees is not here
just by himself. You brought your pastor with you?
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Yes I did.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
Pastor Brian Jones from Revived Church, who has made appearances
here before. Yes, and he is my spiritual father. I'll
say that my mentor. That's right. So and also we
have we have announcements to make and we also brought Megan.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
And Banjad Angela Angel Megan and Angela are here. Now,
this is this is an event. I've never heard of
an event like this. Maybe they've happened, but I hadn't
heard of them before. We're going to talk about a
special event these ladies have created. But Killby's I just
want to thank you through the years, it's been wonderful
to see the of course, see your career blossom as
(02:19):
it has, and also the fact that you're always trying
to help people and doing Christian stuff out in the community.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
Well, I changed my life some years back. Yeah, at
Brian's Church. Back there we were the cave, but where
the where Revived Church now? And I got right with
God and found out that that's how you become successful,
not just career wise, but happiness, fulfillment and peace. And
so it's a joyous occasion every single day, my friend
(02:47):
and I love sharing that message in the word.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Well, it is a joy to have you sharing that
wherever you are, including here on this show. Now, Pastor
Brian Jones, Now this event we're about to talk is
this year event? Did you create this event?
Speaker 1 (03:02):
I did not, but it was presented to me. They
had a vision. Megan and Angela had a vision and
they come and approached me about it. They needed a
place to do it, and when I heard it, I said, man,
we got it. We got to get on board with this.
This is remarkable.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Well, let's talk about what this is. Megan, Angela, one
of you talking to the microphone and tell the listener
what you have going on this Saturday.
Speaker 5 (03:27):
Okay, I had a vision. I have a child that
has multiple disabilities. So when you come across easter, it's
hard for children in a wheelchair to do a traditional
egg hunt. For instance, they can't get on the ground,
they can't look for the eggs. So this event is
for all kids with the disability, but mostly for kids
(03:47):
in a wheelchair. It's a simple egg on the ground
with a string and a balloon attached. Easier for kids
in a wheelchair to be able to grab the balloon
and pick it up.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
So you're doing an eas drag hunt for children with
this abilities. Yes, Where is this going.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
To be six oh one Ziggler Circle mobile Alabama at
the Revived Church.
Speaker 6 (04:07):
Okay, and when Saturday from eleven to two, we're gonna
have two different egg hunts, one at twelve and one
at one that we'll have wheelchair one that is just
for kids in the wheelchairs, and then we have a
separate one for all other special needs children that can
still pick up an egg off the ground and walk
(04:28):
just a little slower than most. And we'll have both
of those one at twelve and one at one just
in case someone can get there in time or needs
to leave early.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Okay, this is coming this Saturday out there and again
the address.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
Six to oh one Ziggler Circle. I'll get Alabama.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Now, ladies, how is there going to be a big
audience for this? Are there a lot of families with
kids that have disabilities that have been looking for something
like this?
Speaker 6 (04:57):
I don't know, honestly. We tried this last year, but
it was very last minute and a friend of Megan's
had to church out and it was eight mile and
they put on something at a very last minute and
we had four kids show up in wheelchairs. Okay, so
we're hoping because We've sent out things to Augusta Evans,
which is where her son goes to school, UCP, all
(05:21):
over Facebook things like that, hoping that we could get
the word out to all the handicapped children or special
needs children.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
By the way, if people want to find out more
on Facebook, where can they find it on Facebook? Should
they go to Revive Church of Mobile?
Speaker 1 (05:35):
On Facebook Mobile? They can go there?
Speaker 2 (05:36):
Absolutely, Pastor what about this? Spoke to you and had
you think your church had to do this?
Speaker 1 (05:43):
I just think that the very fact that you know,
I think that they you know, I've never heard of
it too. I'm like you, uncle Henry, I've never heard
of it, right, So I'm thinking they get left out
a lot in special events and special occasions and stuff
like that. So and it just really touched my heart.
Lets us all the picture of her, and I was like,
you know what, we just got to make this happen.
(06:03):
And she talked about Augusta Evans. I think there's there's
how many there is it?
Speaker 5 (06:07):
Maybe one hundred and fifty kids, one hundred.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
And fifty kids with disabilities there? Right? Oh?
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Really?
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Okay, yeah, it's it's special needs school, right.
Speaker 5 (06:14):
Only special needs kids.
Speaker 6 (06:16):
So you have all the other schools who also have
special needs classes for the public schools.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
And Angela spoke about this at our church meeting last
night very eloquently, and so everybody that was there wants
to be on board. And it's just you know, something
I have learned is that service to others is such
a rewarding experience. And so our whole church is pumped
up about it and we need people to come out.
(06:43):
We want it to be a big deal because these
a lot of these special needs kids are overlooked. All
were absolutely right about that, and it is on us,
the lookers, to not overlook, if so, to put it
in a weird way, But we were pumped up about it,
and uh, and we want the communities of support.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Well let's see if we can get some folks to
show up and support and bring kids that might want
to do this now I know. Uh, this is Saturday
from eleven to two with the two hunts, the egg hunts.
What else is going on beside hunting for eggs? You
have anything else going on?
Speaker 6 (07:21):
There have face painting, snow cones, houses, two bounce houses
for some children. Some of these kids have brothers and
sisters that don't have disabilities, so we want to keep
them entertained.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
So we didn't want to leave them out.
Speaker 6 (07:37):
Yeah, we have cops for kids will be there. What else,
the Easter Bunny, the Easter bunny will be there, fire
truck hopefully the fire truck, YEP, and.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
The police motorcycles.
Speaker 6 (07:50):
Motorcycles will be there.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
Yeah, there's a lot. I believe there's a grill that
will be because. Yeah, some.
Speaker 6 (07:57):
Food and murders, hot dogs, they conduct connect the dogs, chips, drinks, cookies.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Don't mean to be a bus kill. But I'm not
going to be allowed to bring my flamethrower, Okay, decided
by some group of people, some committee got together on that.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
So well, if they do a special egg hunt next
year for like veterans, we'll do a special flamethrower event
with veterans. I mean, okay, now we're going to take
a time out. But you the listener, you know somebody
that has a special needs kid. Do you know someone
with a kid in a wheelchair? Please let them know
about this event. Revive Church of Mobile Look for Revived
(08:39):
Church of Mobile on Facebook. Back with more from Killer
Bees and the church Folk When the Uncle Every Show

Speaker 1 (09:22):
It is right across from the fair grounds.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Oh, very easy to find.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
This very easy to find.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
So the road is like horseshoe shaped and we are
on the end, on the far end, in the curve
of the horseshoe, on the inside of that curve red
brick church. And you'll see millions of people there.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Okay, wonderful. That is fantastic.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Now is it?
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Now?
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Is the Easter egg hunt and all of this? Is
it just for kids with disabilities or in wheelchairs?
Speaker 1 (09:50):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (09:51):
Yeah, well and right right, so there'll be activities for
the other kids as well. So okay of dolts because
they can help me with clean up crew. I'm gon
charge the clean up crew. By the way, just let
you are let me tout that, yes, I'm putting together
a crack team of professionals. Yes, we're gonna have little
(10:13):
gloves on and wags and stuff. It's gonna it's gonna
be pretty cool. My vision for the cleanup crew is
really top notch.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
That is fantastic.
Speaker 4 (10:24):
Bring your trash laid around because we're there to clean
it up, litter all you want, because it's about fun
for you guys.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
And now, if you want to find out more about
the Easter egg hunt happening Saturday, you can go to
Revive Church of Mobile on Facebook. That's Revived Church of
Mobile on Facebook. Now we're gonna talk more about the
event in a while. But uh, Pastor Brian, that's not
You do a lot of different outreaches, a lot of
different ministries. Absolutely, yes, tell me about Man Church.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Man Church is something that we started, of course with
the name it's it's geared towards men.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
Yes, I would. I assume that.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
You know, we just believed that helping men step into
their rightful place as you know, the father, a husband,
that sort of thing, just kind of God. We also
have like a one year discipleship class for men and
for women. But we're gid a lot towards helping the
man become the man that they're you know, they're meant
(11:21):
to be the leader in their family and that sort
of thing.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
What led you to do this?
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Well, actually, years ago, I'd say twelve years ago, I
went out to Texas to this thing called Intense Men
and it's about two thousand men gathered on eighty acres
of land and they're just out there worse for God.
And I began to listen to the things they were saying.
And you know, one of the greatest tragedies in our
country and is the true pandemic is fatherlessness. Amen is amen.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
So many of our problems in this world are because
someone didn't have a father exactly.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
And you know, even even statistics proven prison, you know,
the percentage of men in prison, uh is huge that
come from a fatherless home. Right, So we just wanted
to gear our thing towards men, helping men become the
man that they you know, that that God meant him
to be the leader, the provider, the protector. And so
we started having Man Church and we started this discipleship
(12:22):
and it's been very successful. I think we've had eight
graduating classes. We graduate every year. That man is commissioned
as a man of valor. He's commission as a man
of valor. He gets a sword, and the woman is
a virtue, virtuous woman, yep, and she gets a shield.
So we just you know, our whole thing is just
helping the man be all that he can be in
(12:44):
his house and and it's and it's better for the community,
you know.
Speaker 4 (12:47):
And it's what he's called to be biblically.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
Yes, yes, yeah, And we just like to help, like
even kids that doesn't have a father, you know, just
kind of help them out too, because there's there's so
so many, so many, and they just need guidance, you know,
needs somebody to take them fishing, you know, somebody spends
some time with them.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
Well that's it then, isn't it. And also just show
a young a young a young kid what a man
is supposed to do, how a man is supposed to act.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Yeah. I thank God for the mothers and the women,
but they can't do what the man does. They're not
they're not they're not designed and they're not built to
do that. They do a great job and they do
what they know, but you know, a man needs to
take that. There's there's children and and show them, you
know how what it means to be a man, what
it looks like. And and kids crave a father, they
(13:36):
really do. We we we've seen this happen our children's
church would being an uproar, you know, and and a
man walk in there and immediately those kids they stop
and they shut up because it's it's that father figure,
that authority that walks you know. So uh, that's that's
one of the reasons we do it.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Killer bees. Have you been the Man church?
Speaker 4 (13:58):
I have?
Speaker 2 (14:00):
Okay, I have, I was.
Speaker 4 (14:01):
I was a subject of a debate one time.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
A subject of a debate in man church or out
of man church both, okay.
Speaker 4 (14:10):
So that was all encompassing, sir, okay. So lots to learn,
lots to learn. And that's one of the great things
about Revived Church. It is we're non denominational and it's
not a church of you're doing this wrong, you're doing
that wrong. Sit down, be quiet, listen to us. Tell
you you know right from on it is, come to
(14:32):
that church, get right with God, change in life. We
see miracles every Sunday. Every Sunday, we see people, a
lot of people out of addiction. We see people coming
there they they they get God in their life. They
hand it over to God what you're supposed to do,
and they get thank you, sir and so. And we
(14:54):
see lives change and it is an amazing thing. And
that's where the joy comes from it that church. It's
a happy church. We stand up and dance and sing
where our worship band is play it. It is a delightful, refreshing,
pressure relieving experience. And it's it's revival. It's revival every
(15:16):
freaking Sunday.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Hey, pastor, you know, you know more than most of
us that we're at Easter. That is the number one
day for church attendance. It is in the country. Some
people that may be the only church they get all year. Exactly,
what do you have planned? What is it going to
be like on Easter Sunday at your church?
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Well, I mean, I'm gonna do the I'm gonna do
it definitely an Easter sermon, right, But really we don't
do it like a big production. It's pretty much what
we do almost every Sunday. Every Sunday to us is
Easter Sunday because we see people come in and their
lives are resurrected spiritually. The race from the dead, but
you know, we'll have a message and we will just
(15:57):
will worship. We'll do what we do just about every Sunday.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
So this would be a great for somebody that is
going to go to church one time this year. They
could visit your church and see what it's like every week.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
Yes, yes, absolutely over Henrey. Just gonna be honest, I'm
not I'm not big on the smoking mirrors and the
and the light shows. Well good, I'm just Holy Spirit.
Come do what you do, and that's that's just who
we are. We fire up the worship. We don't know
where it's going. You know, sometimes the worship fires up
and people just come to the altar. They just flood
the altar and start crying. And there's been many many
(16:29):
Sundays that we've had to get rid of crystal myth needles.
They just throw throwing them on the altar, just laying
stuff down and we flush crack, we flush pipes. We
we don't flush pipes but sorry, Mobile City Sewer but anyway, uh,
but we get rid of stuff. People just start throwing
this and we've had offering buckets full of dough full
of drugs and we've just watched people's life change.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
That is uh, that has got to be electrified. I
mean it is just, uh, you can feel the Holy
Spirit when you hear them. I feel so worship time.
If somebody wants to visit on Easter Sunday, when when
do you worship there? Ten thirty am, okay, ten thirty am,
ten thirty am.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
And that is live stream, yes, and as well on
youtubeervive Church Mobile live stream. And so we watch the
live stream when we're out on tour because our tour
tour schedule, my schedule is pretty heavy, and so but
we do not miss a Sunday. We can be in
wherever in America and we'll watch that live stream. And
it is a real active, moving experience. It's you don't
(17:34):
sit in daydream till it's over.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
We've got to go to the news break. We're going
to come back more. We're going to talk about the
egg hunt again. It's revived. Church of Mobile dot com.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
Yes, this is US Radio seven ten WNTM.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Uncle Henry Show News Radio seven to ten WNTM. It's
five thirty five. Killer Bees is back on the Uncle
Henry Show. He brought a bunch of church folk with him.
Pastor Brian Jones from a Revived Church of Mobile and
also Megan and Angela if you've just tuned in here
(18:21):
to talk about an event happening Saturday at their church.
This is an egg hunt for children in wheelchairs or
children with special needs and ladies. There are people that
have just tuned in, So tell us again, how where
did this idea come from?
Speaker 5 (18:40):
It came from I have a child with multiple disabilities
who's in a wheelchair that is not able to do
a typical egg hunt. So therefore this is basically made
for children that's in a wheelchair. It is an egg
with a balloon attached to it, so they can be
in their wheelchair and grab the balloon attached to the egg.
(19:03):
But there will also be another egg hunt for just
your children with downs, autism, even with a walker, anything,
any disability you're able to attend.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Okay, this is going to be Saturday at Revived Church
of Mobile and on Ziggler right across from the fairgrounds.
Right when does it start?
Speaker 6 (19:23):
Eleven am to two pm? Okay, and tell have an
egg hunt at twelve and another one at one.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Okay, what else is going on for people other than
the egg hunt there?
Speaker 1 (19:36):
Well, we have food we got lots of food, so
we'll have free food for everybody. Everything's free, nothing costs anything. Okay,
we'll have plenty of food. We'll have snow cones, face painting, jumpy.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
Houses, cops for kids, cops.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
For kids, motorcycles, the.
Speaker 6 (19:55):
Fire trucks so that we'll also have emt there just
in case anything may happen with any of the kids.
Speaker 4 (20:03):
Will have medical there.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (20:06):
The Easter Bunnie, he will be there the entire time.
He will mingle and he will also take pictures with
the kids.
Speaker 4 (20:14):
And it's for the whole families, the siblings and the parents.
It's for the for the whole families.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
The siblings out if they bring their siblings, they can
you know, killer by, are you gonna do like a
ten minute said a twenty minute sat.
Speaker 4 (20:26):
Well, as as I have, as as most people in
the media know right now, I will be heading up
a crack crew of clean up people. Yes, okay, this event,
I will be spearheading the hygiene department of this wonderful endeavor.
And it's gonna be it's gonna be great. I'm probably
(20:47):
gonna have uniforms, gloves.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
And then and they asked you to trash.
Speaker 4 (20:52):
So bring your bring your trash and feel freedo litter
because we're gonna be like the Olympic Team of clean up.
It's like a pit crew. It's like, that's my vision
for the cleanup crew, and I am in charge. If
if y'all want to audition for the cleanup crew, hit
me up because there's never too many people and this.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
Creates uh, This makes people feel more at ease about
bringing their kids knowing that you're in charge of this.
Speaker 4 (21:20):
Correct any spillage. We're expecting spillage. We're expecting fun, we're
expecting partying, and there's gonna be spillage, and that's fine.
We want spillach because my people want to work. That's
what we do, sir. We serve and we shall clean up.
We'll you know, if you're listening and you want to
help us, come be a part of my crew. If
(21:42):
your wife wants to come, little writer or broom over,
we can use that broom. Okay, that was probably wrong,
It couldn't help it, but we we're gonna we we
will take care of all that. All that, so utherbashedly
come and have fun. Don't worry about stuff. We got
it covered.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
It free.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
We're gonna feed you, bring the siblings. There's stuff to
do there. There's rumors about my flamethrower and I cannot
divulge anything else about that. But it's gonna be a
great event. Man, Come help sir. Come watch people smile
and have fun. Who don't get as many opportunities as
you and I get. So come do that. Do your
(22:22):
heart good, do the world some good.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Now.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
People can find out more. Where can people find out
more information? On Facebook?
Speaker 1 (22:29):
Revive churchmobile.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
Revived Church Mobile on Facebook for all the details on there.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
Okay, I think we need to say this too because
maybe they don't know. But there is special change room
set up because that might hindering from not coming there.
There's a special change room for the kids with disability,
aside for the boys and aside for the girl. So
there's a separation there so that they've got somewhere convenient
to change them.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
It sounds like you've you've thought of a lot of things.
Here are there stuff I hadn't even thought of that
You've got to take aware of them.
Speaker 4 (22:59):
They Yeah, the professional angelo really really have a lot
of that that knowledge and experience, so they have they've
helped out tremendy. It's their thing. You know, we're just
we're just happy to helping, to serve and to clean up.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
And to clean up.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
Now, are there are how are things uh? When you
are raising a child in a wheelchair? Is Is it
uh a huge challenge getting through weeks, getting through months
here and mobile or are there events like this?
Speaker 5 (23:31):
There is no events like this?
Speaker 6 (23:34):
Okay, I have not seen one.
Speaker 5 (23:36):
I actually seen the idea on Facebook. Not even sure
where in the last year, I want to say, in
like Houston, Texas. Okay, I've seen pictures of it. Last year.
Tried to get it to be a thing. Last year
wasn't able to. Like Angela talked about, we did a
small thing in eight Mile last year. It was only
(23:57):
four kids. It was last minute. That's why I wanted
to try to make this a huge thing. And because
it is nothing, it's very sad to see your child
left out and knowing that there is so many children
that have disabilities that's in wheelchair, that are left out
of something that is just typical, that's just so regular
(24:19):
holiday and they're left out because they can't do it.
So that's why this means so much to me and
to have Brian help and have our sponsors help and
people in the community and his church be so willing
to help. Let these kids do something that every other
child can do.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
Well, talk about I know Revived Church is helping out.
Who are some of your other sponsors. Who's helping you
with this?
Speaker 5 (24:43):
We have had Bagbee Elevators, Gas and Supply Company, Bay Area, Screw,
State Farms, State Farm, Brenda Thompson, Majestic Tours, are family
and friends, lots of family, things of life.
Speaker 6 (25:02):
Yea life.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
Do you need any other help, because there is time
if anybody listening wants to help out, do you need
any other help or any other sponsorships of some kind?
Speaker 4 (25:12):
We do, we do, we we totally do. We need.
We need boots on the ground. Yeah, that's that's what
we need. We need uh uh. We need helping hands
with this event and it it it's a joyous thing
to serve and to help others come be a part
of it. So in Ziegler Circle across from the fair grounds.
(25:35):
It's a U shaped road across from the fair ground.
Where at the end in the bend on the inside
big Red Church.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
Okay, And if somebody wants to get in touch Is
it easy to do that on Facebook with you pastor?
Speaker 1 (25:50):
Yeah, you can do that, or you can you can
call two five one six three three three seven five two.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
Okay, Now is that is that you did you give
out your number?
Speaker 1 (26:01):
That is that is the church numbers. It's the church
cell phone.
Speaker 4 (26:05):
And that number again is two.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
Five one six three three three seven five two.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
I would I would say one more time. Two people
are writing it down.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Six three three three seven five two.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
Okay, if you donate.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
If they want to donate, yeah, they want to give
a monetary gift, they can do that too, and they
can send that to uh money sign revived Church mobile
would be the best way to cash out, okay, money
sign revived Church Broby and they could just tag it
as a wheelchair and four wheels.
Speaker 6 (26:40):
And friends and friends.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
Yes, all right, we are almost at another break. Now
I understand one of you ladies needs to, uh you
need to leave, right.
Speaker 4 (26:47):
Angela has a modeling gig she's got to get to
and uh so she's got to go do that.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
Hey, but hey, before you go, uh, we've got about
a minute left. You're both wearing matching shirts. Now, the
people on rate listening on radio cannot see those shirts.
But what are your shirts signify?
Speaker 6 (27:05):
Well, it says not all peeps are the same. So
this one signifies down syndrome, this one signifies cerebral palsy,
this one is autism, and this one is epilepsy. Little bunnies,
it's little bunnies, but are little peeps. So we're just
trying to say all all of them are invited. Everyone is.
Speaker 5 (27:27):
Everyone's not the same, but everyone's equal exactly.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
That's good.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
All right, Well, we're about to go in to break hey,
and you can get on your way. You said you
absolutely positively had to leave at five forty five, and
we're right there. Yes, Hey, thank you for coming in.
Speaker 6 (27:43):
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
And we're going to be back in just a moment
with more from Killer Bees and Pastor Brian Jones as
the Uncle Henry Show continues here on news Radio seven
to ten WNTM and more more news on this event
we've been talking about it revived Church of Mobile on Facebook.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
Use Radio seven tenunt and iHeartRadio station.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
Uncle Henry's Show. It is five fifty news headlines coming
up in ten minutes. Killer Bees is here with a
pastor Brian Jones and it's is it Meghan?
Speaker 1 (28:26):
Meg?
Speaker 2 (28:27):
I got it right. Meghan is still here. I've been
talking about this big event, the egg Hunt coming up
Saturday at Revived Church of Mobile, the egg Hunt for
children with discibilities, children and wheelchairs, killer bees. What attracted
you to this church?
Speaker 1 (28:41):
What got you?
Speaker 2 (28:42):
What got you there?
Speaker 1 (28:43):
What kept you there?
Speaker 4 (28:44):
Our youngest son, Skylar, actually got us to come to
that church. We'd been to some different churches around the
city and he goes, Dad, you got to come to
this church. He goes, He goes, it's great. It's a
bunch of bikers that go there. It is not a
biker church. Corrected on saying that one time. But I
would say eighty percent of the people there ride their
(29:06):
Hauley to church. But but it is a it's a
holy spirit church. It's not a stuffy dress up in
a suit going there and sit there and be quiet
and day deep, daydream till it's over.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
Church.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
It's a walk in there. We walked in the front
door and people lined up telling us welcome home, hugging us,
welcome home, man, thanks for coming in. Didn't know me
from Adam. And so the service is it's not a
The word free wheeling comes into my mind, but it's
(29:41):
not a stoic Yeah, it's electric, thank you. It is
absolutely people full of joy, people whose lives have been changed,
who celebrate that. And we see we see miracles there
every day every Sunday. People come out of addiction, they've
(30:04):
come from incarceration, and this healing thank you, mirind it's
a healing church man. People coming there, they get right
with God, they get rid of all those things that
the world has stacked on us that weigh us down.
And you find joy. You find actual joy there and
real life peace. And so that's what attracted me to
(30:27):
it and me personally. You know, I've been killer Bee
for forty three years. I've been I have a pretty
intense job. Yes, you and I get to do some
kind of big things in the overall scheme, I guess.
And to be able to go into a church like
that and realize, wait a minute, all that, all that
(30:50):
worldly stuff is not what's important. It's peace and joy
and having that in use. And that is where that
is where it happened for me, and it has transformed me.
You know, my show is even better now. I'm a
better writer. I'm a better communicator because it comes from
a place of love and respect and understanding and freaking gratitude.
(31:16):
So it is absolutely it's say it. It doesn't make
all your problems go away, but it shows you the
path to deal with them. You know, the Bible says
there's going to be trouble in this life, but you
learn how to deal with it. You learn to walk
in faith. And I learned about worry. That's where that's
(31:38):
what really changed for me.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
I would worry.
Speaker 4 (31:41):
I was a worrier because live performance spoken word is
a tough, tough gig and that's my only income, that's
what supports my family. And I would envision shows coming up,
maybe ticket sales weren't going good, and I would picture
all these horrific as of how bad that was going
(32:01):
to be. And we all do that in our lives.
What every business you're in, you have those times where
you're looking at that worry. You're projecting yourself in the
future into a bad scenario. And I learned that that
picture does not have God's blessing in it. That's the
big lesson right there. You're just looking at the negative outcome,
(32:24):
You're not looking at the strings God's going to pull
You're not looking at the way He's going to lift
you up in that situation or your customer or your project.
And that was a big thing for me. That is huge,
and it's all about faith, and it's learning to walk
(32:44):
in faith and to not not fall victim to those
negatives in your head. We have learned the Bible tells
us to control our mind. It tells us to think
on things that are good, that are righteous. It says,
think on these things. And that is actually what we do.
That is what you.
Speaker 6 (33:04):
Learn to do.
Speaker 4 (33:05):
You don't give in to the doom and gloom because
that is not a real scenario. That's just the enemy
trying to hold you back.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
Okay, we have one minute left in the show. Thank
you so much for bringing these people in. Killer Bees
and Pastor. Easter Sunday services ten thirty Easter Sunday at
the church there right across from the fairgrounds on Ziggler
