Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Uncle Henry Show weekday afternoons from five till seven.
(01:01):
It there's the Uncle Henry Show here on news Radio
seventy ten WNTM. Thank you, I appreciate very much. Well,
you're listening to the Uncle Henry Show once again. Here
we are together, me and you trying to figure out
(01:22):
what is going on, What is going on in the
world around us? Really, what is going on?
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Now?
Speaker 1 (01:31):
There was some good stuff going on this weekend. I was.
I went up to Tuscaloose, Alabama, and I saw Alabama
get an electrifying victory over Tennessee Roll Tide roll. I'll
get to that later in the show. There's a lot
to get to and it was magnificent. It truly was.
It was electrifying. Yes, confirmed I was there. There was
electricity in the air. But we'll get to that later.
(01:54):
First we have other things to talk about here on
the Uncle Henry Show. We had the No Kings protest
over the weekend all over the country, people going out
into the streets to declare that there'll be no kings
in this country. Now, I'm more confused now than ever before.
But after seeing what I saw in the news with
(02:14):
these folks, these people getting out into the streets of
our country. I'm more confused than ever before about what
this is all about. First, let me go to a
voice my message. I've got a long time listener who
phoned in about the no Kings protests that went on
all over the country, including the Gulf Coast.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
Yeah, Henry, this is let me see when you head
the morning show. I used to call you a lot
more than I do now that you got the afternoon show.
I used to go by the handle a m Okay,
you probably don't remember me, but what I called about
today was I can't hardly believe there's that many idiots
(02:58):
in mobile as. When I watched the news early Sunday
morning and I saw where all those people were marching
against Trump and what he was doing, it just it
just I can't hardly believe it. And what I want
to do. If any of them people are listening, I'd
like for him to call your show and just tell
(03:19):
me where were they at when King Biden opened our
borders against the law and let criminals in our country,
let disease people come in here and spread their diseases.
I want to know where he where where they were
when King Biden designated parents attending PTA meetings as terrorists
(03:41):
and threatened them. I want to know where they were
when King Biden put American citizens in jail, some of
them in solitary confinement, and wouldn't allow him to have
an attorney. Where we all are at and where were
(04:02):
you at when he fired people in the military for
not getting that bogus virus shot. I want you people
to call in and tell me you bunch of idiots,
brainless communist Marxist idiots, sorry about that. Henry Bye bye.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
All right, sir, thank you am, Thank you for your
voicemail that you left over the weekend. I appreciate your questions.
These are These are questions that many people would love
to have answered by one of the very interesting people,
eccentric people that were out there at the No Kang's protest.
Now I mentioned I'm more confused than ever before. Now
there's a story. I know you've heard this already. Fox
(04:46):
ten has been reporting it. Lambjak, the newspaper Lambyak has
been reporting it. A woman in fair Hope was it
one of these protests? Yes, even in Fair Hope, where
you'd think that things were good enough that you wouldn't
need to get out under the streets. But there were
people in fair Hope in this no King's thing and
(05:06):
a woman, a sixty one year old woman. Now when
you hit when you're past sixty, you ought to know
better about a lot of things. Sixty one year old
woman arrested in charged with disorderly conduct and resistant arrest
because she was out protesting, according to the Fairhope police,
wearing what they described as a Paelik costume near the
(05:31):
Baldwin Square shopping center. Now this was a woman, an
adult woman dressed and a costume that looked like a
man's blankial organ. Yes, somebody was out in the streets
wearing a costume in front of everybody to see. And
(05:51):
the costume was to look like a man's blankual organ
standing up there. Now, what is the point are you trying?
When you're out here in your protest. And by the way,
I'm not against protests. I mean they've gone American history
(06:13):
has been filled with protests. I'm not against protests. I
don't like violent ones. Now, when you're out there dressed
as a giant male blank you organ, now is that
are you thinking to yourself? I know I will persuade
(06:34):
somebody's going to Are you trying to change my heart
on this? Are you trying to persuade your fellow citizens
that you're right, that we're wrong, that those of us
that voted for Donald Trump we've wrong, We're just wrong.
Are you trying to persuade me that I'm wrong? Are
(06:54):
you trying to get my attention so that I will
pay attention to your efforts and go and see what
you're saying and think to myself, You know what, You
know what, maybe maybe President Trump really is being too forceful.
Maybe maybe he shouldn't do make all these executive orders.
Maybe he should just do this and do that. Maybe
they're right. Do you think do you think that you
(07:17):
dressing like a man's sexual organ in the streets of
our country where all the all little children and everybody
can see it? Do you think that this is gonna
cause me to stop and reconsider my opinions and think
that I'm gonna think you must be onto something. You
(07:38):
know what, this woman, this sixty one year old woman,
thought that it was important enough to dress obscenely as
a gigantic, gigantic male organ. Maybe I need to think,
maybe I need to find out how she votes, maybe
I do. Maybe I need to go along with her.
She might be onto something. She's dressed like a giant
(08:01):
man's organ. Maybe she's onto something. Maybe I need to
listen to her. Maybe I've been wrong all these years
and she's right, because look, she's dressed like a giant
male blank you organ. Is that what you're thinking? Because
that's not you know, that was not my first reaction.
(08:24):
That wasn't My first reaction was wow, sixty one year old,
a sixty one year old is dressed like a man's
blank you will organ. You know, maybe a straight jacket,
maybe a straight jacket, a drug test, some type of
counseling would need to be we need to advance. That's
what I thought. What am I missing? I'm missing something
(08:47):
because this was not you're you're not persuasive dressed as
a giant male organ. Side. This is the Uncle Henry
Show on News Radio seven ten WNT Uncle Henry's Show
(09:18):
five twenty. We have news headlines coming up in ten minutes.
You like to call the show, you can't two five
one four seven nine two seven two three. That's two
five one four seven nine two seven two three. So
we had the No King's protests across the country. In
fair Hope, you had a sixty one year old woman
(09:40):
get arrested for wearing an obscene costume in public where
this woman was dressed in a giant suit that made
her look like a male blank will organ. Yes, a
human sized male blank will organ. Now, this is this.
That's what if you're if you're a top Democrat, are
(10:02):
you glad of this? Are you glad that people around
protesting in giant male blankual organ costumes? Because it's again,
this is not going to change votes. I mean, this
does not. I don't look at I don't see this
and go wow, they must be making an important point.
I better listen more closely. Somebody dressed like that, I
(10:23):
better listen more closely. No, it makes me wish that
we could have an island for perverts, that we could
just have a whenever somebody's convicted of perversion, just send
them to live on the pervert island with the perverts.
That's yeah, that's what. That's the way. It makes me think.
It doesn't mean think. It doesn't make me think. You
know what, I better listen these the next time there's
(10:44):
an election. I need to pay attention to these Democrats,
because they really might have some good points. They might
have some good points, what with them dressing up like
giant male organs. No, it makes me wish there was
some type of pervert island for that we could just
whenever somebody convicted of perversion, just put them over there
on the pervert island. Pervert island anyway. I just I don't.
(11:05):
Do you think do you think the organizers of the
of these things really think this is good? In addition
to that, you know, we had the lady arrested for
dressing up as a giant male organ in fair Hope.
I saw videos from around the country of people talking
about how ice agents should be shot. I saw videos
(11:26):
of people re enacting the death of Charlie Kirk in
a mocking way. You're not persuading me to vote Democrat.
You're not intimidating me. You're just making me wish that
there was something, some better way of dealing with people
(11:48):
that have mental illness. That's all you're making me do.
I don't. I don't. I'm trying to understand what the
point of that was Saturday, other than maybe mentally ill
people getting together and having the fellowship and exchanging recipes
or whatever the middle ill people do. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Hello caller, good evening with Henry Bert Bert.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
You are live on the radio.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
Uh in a In just a minute, I'll get to
the things you were talking about just now. Okay, your
interview with Marathon Mike, Yes was a was a trip,
a trip down memory lane for me, Uncle Henry, because
I used to hang out at all those places he
mentioned the Met Gordon's and especially the Fan Dango Saloon
(12:41):
because it was right around the corner from where I
was living at that time, close to Langen Park. I
think I saw grinder switch there. I think I saw
Asleep at the Wheel there. There was a local band
called Gypsy that I always used to go see. And
all those places were my hangouts drough a days, Uncle Henry,
I really enjoyed that interview.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Well, thank you for saying that. And I am I'm trying.
I'm I'm going to try to get Ron Anthony, who
also worked at W A b B. I'm going to
get him to come in here one day because he
he went to all the same places and more so
we'll be walking down that that lane of memory again
sometime soon.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
That'd be great. But these waxed out things that the
Democrats are doing at these protests. It's all about getting attention, uncle, Henry.
They're not trying to persuade anybody. Maybe they'd be trying
to intimidate people with this mocking Charlie Kirk and all that,
trying to silence the opposition when you can't win a debate.
(13:39):
But they're they're just trying to get get on social
media with costumes like that. That's all it's all it's
about today. It's all about the attention.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Well, yeah, and I know that that Trump supporters have
dressed in goofy ways too to get attention, but not
not like an obscene way. If you know what this is,
just this goes in a different direction for getting attention.
If you know what I'm going at.
Speaker 4 (14:08):
Well, it's the difference between people that respect families and
respect kids and think, you know, kids might be watching this,
and the people that don't give a day. That's what
it's all about. It's almost looking like we're on the
verge of Civil War two in this country, Henry. All
all the violence and intimidation, well I always say, they're
(14:30):
all hoping that we're going to be unarmed when they
come for us.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
Well, now, I think, Bert, that there are people that
would like us to be at each other's throats, that
that it's not about it's not as much about one
side winning as both sides go in ato each other's.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
Throats, exactly divide and conquer.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
All right, well, Bert, anything else.
Speaker 4 (14:57):
One more time, Uncle Henry. In November the seventh Blues
Tavering four pm, I'm going to be playing a duet
with my drummer and I just now got word that
I'm going to be playing a private party this weekend
in Bamnette.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
Wow, okay, congratulations on that gig.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
So I'm getting back in at by bit, Uncle Henry.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Well, good Bert. I'm looking forward to seeing you live.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
That'd be great if you could hear us, Henry. It's
going to be the show of a lifetime. All right,
thank you taking a call.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Thank you Bert for that phone call. Now let's see.
On the topic of the no Kings protests, I got
another voicemail on the topic from a M.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
Yeah, Henry, this is Am again. I apologize for calling back.
I just wanted to make one of the statements on
the on the bozos that were out hollering and screaming
this weekend. I'm not a betting man. I don't gamble,
I never have. But if I was a betting man,
I would bet that three fourths of those people that
(16:04):
were out there were people who had that one hundred
and fifty two hundred thousand dollars do nothing, do absolutely
nothing jobs with the government. That Elon Musk caught up
with them, realized they wasn't doing nothing but sitting on
the rear ends all day and collecting a paycheck, he
got rid of him, and I imagine three fourths of
(16:26):
the people that were out there were some were those people.
They needed to go to McDonald's or Home Depot or
Lows or any of the grocery stores and get them
a job. Okay, it just burns me up, burns me up.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Bye bye, all right, Am, thank you very much. I
appreciate you calling the Boss Mount voice my number two
five one two one six, nineteen seventy six. That's two
five one two one six, nineteen seventy six. To leave
a message anytime, day or night for the Uncle Henry
show the y that AM did about these No King's
protests over the weekend. Yeah, I wouldn't it be fascinating.
(17:11):
So we had the sixty one year old woman arrested
for wearing the costume and fair hope of a man's
BLANKI will organ you talked about what they did. I
wonder what profession did that woman have a profession? What
(17:33):
line of work was she in before she decided to
dress as a man's Blankibal Organ? In fact, I'd like
to know so I would never be around that workplace
under any circumstance, It says the Uncle Henry Show. It
(18:15):
is five thirty five. Thank you for listening to the
Uncle Henry Show. And I like to thank the people watching.
We have a small number of people watching live on
YouTube if you'd like to look at that, So the
Uncle Henry Show channel on YouTube and you can see
you can see me live there or look at previous
(18:35):
live shows. Tellophone number two five one four seven nine
two seven two three. That's two five one four seven
nine two seven two three. Email address Uncle Henry at
iHeartMedia dot com.
Speaker 5 (18:48):
Hello caller, that's Helen Henry. How you today.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
I'm good, doing good? How are you doing?
Speaker 5 (18:55):
Yeah good? It sounds like you got a pretty intense
show going on. I was gonna kind of light in
the moved a MIT go right ahead, Ye South. I
went to the South Alabama Arkansas State game Thursday night
and uh, out South struggling. Of course, we all know that,
and we're As we were leaving, I heard a lot
of conversations about it was time for major apple White
to go and then uh, a few moments later, I
(19:18):
walked up on another crowd and lo and beholder talking
about what are the chances of getting ed Orgeron to
come to South and coach? And Uh, that's pretty good.
I thought that sounded pretty interesting.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
Men.
Speaker 5 (19:31):
Could they could pull that off? I mean, they would
get some they would get some people in the seats
just for the ed Orgeron show much again if they
win and lose it. But uh, worry, what are your
thoughts on that?
Speaker 1 (19:43):
Well, you know, I'm i uh with how it's hard
to judge coaches these days like we did because of
all these moves in the transfer portal and all that
kind of stuff. It's hard to know is the is
the coach good ball or or are they lacking in
terms of paying players and transfer portal. What I'm saying
(20:07):
is it's hard for me to now judge coaches the
way I used to because I'm not even sure where
where they might be failing and where they might be succeeding.
Speaker 5 (20:16):
Yeah, and I can't remember. I mean, how long has
he been gone now? Two years?
Speaker 1 (20:20):
Three years from lu Uh yeah, I think it's been
at least three Yeah.
Speaker 5 (20:27):
So he hasn't he hasn't gotten the full brunt of
our are was familiar with the full brunt of the
transfer a portal as we see it today. That will
be interesting. But uh thought it was interesting conversation. And
I thought kind of goes to come past that might
be pretty pretty fun for a while.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
And Mobile, but uh, well, you know, if Mobile might
have to stand in line behind others. There are a
lot of coaches got fired this past weekend, so they
might have to stand in line trying to get that guy.
Speaker 5 (20:57):
But a lot of people in that crowd I was walking,
we were talking about you know that, Well, he'll get
to play against his cousin over at Nickel State. He
coaches at Nickel State. He'll be a yearly fan, you know,
back and forth within the conference and not far from
not far from Louisiana from home. They thought it might
be pretty appealing to him in Mobile.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Well maybe tell them to reach out.
Speaker 5 (21:17):
Yeh kind of fun. Do you have a good misir
you too?
Speaker 1 (21:21):
Thank you very much for your phone call and no
offense to Major apple White and his fans. Apple White
was at the University of Alabama with Saban. There should
be some type of Saban transfer of knowledge into the
head of Major apple White. So just it may be
that we just need to give him another season before
(21:42):
you start talking about hiring in your dream coaches from
other towns. So just right now look looking for the
Jags to find their footing and move forward. I guess
I need to get young Charlie to come in on
the show and tell us what's going on good and
bad there South two five one four seven nine seven
(22:03):
two three the telephone number here on the Uncle Henry Show.
And uh, let's see speaking of football, Alabama Crimson Tide
beating Tennessee Roll Tide row. Uh really enjoyed going and
being there in person for that game. Thank you to
John McNeil for making that possible of Mobile Bay Financial Solutions.
(22:23):
What a magnificent football game that was. The atmosphere was
just as great as the atmosphere has been at any
Alabama game I've been to. It was really just I struggle,
as you can tell, I'm struggling to find words to
convey how much fun it was to be there for that.
(22:46):
Let me go to the voicemail because I've gotten voicemail
reaction to the Alabama victory over Tennessee.
Speaker 6 (22:51):
Til Tita Rell Michael. You know it's always nice when
you're sitting out here on your front porch and Wes
Locksley four eleven pm. Beautiful weather the day after smashing
up the hill Billies from Northeast Tennessee. I know y'all
(23:13):
had a good time there. My son and then had
a good time. Also would have liked to been there myself,
but certain things wouldn't permit it. That's all right. It
looked good on the sixty five inch Samsung. And I've
been going to Tennessee game since nineteen seventy nine, so
I'm all right, not every year, but I'm I'm satisfied
(23:35):
if I don't never get to attend another one. But
I haven't ruled out that possibility. That was well of
a ball game, brother, yep. And I know y'all got
your money's work and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
YEP.
Speaker 6 (23:48):
I certainly enjoyed it for my lazy boy recline at
Rocker Recliner. All right, now we got we beat four
No teen's ever done it four straight without a break,
without a bye. We'd beat four ranked, top ranked teams.
Nobody's ever done it before. As I said, now comes
(24:12):
a road trip to an underachieve in South Carolina team
who would like nothing better than to upset the mighty Alabama.
So twenty four I row about to be up. Let's
go get them fellows.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
Roll tide row, Roll tid row. Sixty eight year old
Christal West Likesley, thank you for your role, Tide. You
talked about us enjoying it, Yes we did. I struggled,
as you heard before, trying to describe how great the
atmosphere was at that game. It just it was something else.
I enjoyed the whole I enjoyed going up there and
coming back to uh, my wife. She wanted to stay
(24:54):
overnight in the beautiful hamlet known as Meridian, Mississippi. And
so yes, yes, I know you're thinking, wow, y'all have
Yes we did. We had a wonderful night in Meridian, Mississippi.
What a beautiful, beautiful spot that was. And I'll tell
you my favorite thing about driving up to Tuscaloosa by
(25:17):
way of Meridian, driving up through rustic, rural Mississippi, I
saw in the drive from Mobile to Meridian, I saw
more crosses on the side of the road, big, big crosses,
(25:38):
a lot of them made out of pipe. I'll tell
you what. It was so reassuring just seeing all those
those crosses. I loved it. In fact, there was one
field between Meridian and Mobile. It was a wide open field,
but there was a fully painted statue of Jesus Christ
(25:59):
right near the road.
Speaker 5 (26:01):
Yes, not just.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
Crosses, statues of Jesus. In fact, I looked over to
my right, there's a there's a statue of Jesus, fully painted.
And then I looked off to my left in the
distance and there was not one cross but three crosses.
I thought, this is good.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
I like this.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
I felt. It just was a wonderful feeling. By the way,
I saw no protesters on that drive Saturday, the drive
this was Saturday morning. Also in the small towns that
we drove through in Mississippi, more American flags that I've
(26:39):
seen in most small towns. It was just a wonderful.
It was just wonderful to be in America in the
South this Saturday for that game. Yes, indeed, so, yes,
we had a wonderful time. Now more on the UH.
I've got more voicemail about the game that I will
get to after the upcoming break here on news Radio
(27:00):
seven to ten WNTM. Before I get to the break,
I want to remind you that you can hear me
weekdays playing country music on EFIM Radio on on ninety
five KSJ every weekday, Monday through Friday between ten and
two playing today's heitis country. And right now we are
letting people know on ninety five KSJ about a Veterans
(27:21):
Day concert. We've got a country music artist coming to
Dauphin Island for a Veterans Day concert. We're going to
be raising money for Vets Recover here in Mobile. It's
Dylan Carmichael. Find out more. Tickets are only eleven dollars.
You can get the tickets and all the info at
(27:41):
ninety five KSJ dot com. That's ninety five KSJ dot
com for that Veterans Day concert, it says the Uncle
(28:11):
Henry Show on News Radio seven to ten WNTM. We
have news headlines coming up in ten minutes.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
Now.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
The last segment of the show talked about the great
Alabama Tennessee game and how wonderful it was for Alabama
to destroy Tennessee. And yes, it was a destruction even
at that score that I saw the defeat that was
warned by all the Tennessee fans and their team and
(28:48):
their band. I got more voicemail on the topic. Let
me go to another voicemail that came in the morning
after the Alabama victory.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
Henry, good roll time, morning, Henry. When I woke up
today ten forty two and thirty two seconds, I knew
it'd be a great day in the city of Mobail
because Alabama whooped up on Tennessee last night. Henry, that
was a magnificent win. Of course, my favorite part is
(29:27):
probably everybody's favorite part, when that fella number two had
a pick six right when Tennessee thought they were about
to score. You talk about bashing someone's dreams.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
Oh, by the way, the region to be there in
person for the reaction to that pick six was magnifacent.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
Henry found out that the muper chilled green or rapid
Alabama fans, as I have a voicemailed through the years, you.
R Junior struggled with his Alabama fandom, and I can
tell you that he has overcome those struggles. It all
started when he started hanging out with a bad crowd
(30:10):
in kindergarten. There's a group of boys. These daddies were
Auburn alumni's and he flirted with being an Auburn's hand
for a little while in kindergarten and through your mentorships
to your radio program, I got that bore straight.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
But hand the hey before you go, Before you go on,
I just want to point out. I know a lot
of people already know this, but kindergarten, the peer group
in kindergarten is important. It is even at that age.
Little children do become similar to the people that they're
spending time with, even at that age. So yes, you can.
(30:46):
You've got to be You've got to be diligent at
the daycare and at the kindergarten with your little children.
This is just something you learn when the when the
kids come home and they start talking about stuff you've
you've never brought up in your own house. You know
what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
For a little while in kindiergarten and through your mentorships
to your radio program. I got that boy straight. But Henry,
there are such rabbit Alabama fans that when Alabama Tennessee
game was over and they had promptly finished their celebratory
responses to that game, they put on the Auburn game
(31:25):
to cheer on the Missou again Arbor. That's right, Henry,
I you for chill dream cheer on two teams, Alabama
and whoever's playing Auburn. I'll tell you what, Henry, I
cannot have done it without the leadership and guidance of
your radio program. Of course, I've made them listen to
(31:46):
your radio program in a punitum manner since the day
they were born. I did every day, every last one
of them. I got free, chill green Henry and boy
and two girls, and every last one of them when
they're right home from the hospital. When they were born,
there was Uncle Henry's show in the background. Anyway, Henry,
good roll tide and mourning to you, sir Beaufford.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
Thank you for the roll tide, mourning salutations and exclamations,
and thank you for indoctrinating your children by forcing them
to listen to the show in a punitive way. I
love the idea of younger people being punished by being
forced to listen to this program, and it's very It
(32:32):
can be kind of like audio castor oil. You can
think of it that way. You know, you may not
taste good going into the ear, but you may benefit
from it in the long run. It's it's just the
way that it has worked for young people, usually people
under the age of what's seventy five or so. But
(32:56):
thank you, beautiful for that. And now your children cheering
on teams that are beating Auburn. We're at a point
now where the Alabama economy is going to need Auburn
to get good now, not better than Alabama, of course
that should never happen, but they do need to do
(33:16):
