Speaker 1 (00:07):
Uncle Henry's show here on news Radio seven ten WNTM.
We have news headlines coming up in ten minutes now.
A programming note this Thursday evening, I will not be
doing The Uncleaner Show live Thursday evening on news Radio
seven to ten WNTEN because I'm mceing an event in

(00:30):
midtown mobile at Saint Mary's Church. Now, Missy, one of
my coworkers, is here, Missy, Missy, explain to the listener.
What am I going to be the mc of.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Okay, so this is our I want to say fifth.
I could be wrong or how long we've been doing it,
but at least five years, possibly six. This is a
The event will actually be held at Saint Mary's School
under the Olives Pavilion, which we've had for a few years,
which is fabulous it is. But it is a fundraiser
for Saint Mary's Church for the end Dowment Fund. Okay,

(01:01):
so it is a great night to come out, get
your friends together and anyone who loves trivia. Even if
you don't love trivia, you can still come and just
hang out.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
With you It's trivia.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
It's a trivia night. Yeah. So each year we have
a different theme. This year's theme is every day is
a holiday. So you can come and you pick a
holiday that you want to represent, and then you can
come and costume for that holiday. Some people go all out.
Some people, you know, there's a few that don't. That
don't dress up, and that's okay. You don't have to
dress up. Don't feel intimidated if you's too late to

(01:34):
get a costume. But if you do, you could be
very creative. There will be prizes awarded for the best costume.
So it's a table of eight. You can buy a
table of eight, or you can buy single tickets. If
you don't have eight friends or that you can find
to participate with you, you can buy a single ticket
and then we can place you at a table.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Well, now see that act. I've been to this a
few years, at least the last three. I guess this
is my fourth time.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Maybe I believe that it is. And you're you're indebted
to us.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Now, well, you you the listener, if you've never been
to this and you're you're thinking this might be a
fun thing to go play trivia, Uh, these tables you
would love being placed at any of these tables. These
are some of the nicest people I've met in this
town are at Saint Mary's trivia night. Now, the trivia questions,
do you know what they're going to be about? Are

(02:24):
they going to be about holidays or is there some
other topic?

Speaker 2 (02:27):
There may be some about holidays. There are going to
be a variety of questions that will be asked, so
you don't have to be a specialist. You know in
every category, there's going to be one category that you're
going to know some answers to. There will be some
religious questions, of course, and to help you with that
if you're not really up on your religious questions, there

(02:48):
will be priests that will be bid on that you
can have at your table that really do give you
an advantage for answering the harder, more difficult religious questions.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Now, a lot of people that listen to the Unclanary
show that I've met in person, love to eat, and
they never say this. You can just tell so talk
about food and beverage and that kind of thing.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Your ticket price gets you in, and it's fifty dollars
per person or four hundred dollars for the table of eight.
What that entails is a fun night of trivia. It
gives you food cater by NAMEANS catering that is always
good MS catering. You know that it's going to be
a great great spread also includes drink drinks, so yeah,

(03:31):
it's a great time. You get to spend time with
your friends, you get to dress up in costume. There's
prizes awarded. I think there's a loser prize, which a
lot of people have said they always like getting the
Loser prize because I won't tell you what it is,
but it's a lot. It's very enjoyable for the table.
There are prizes for the best costume. Of course, there's
an overall prize in bragging rights if your team wins, right,

(03:57):
I think that may be all the prizes. But there's
also special prices. If you are thirty and under, there's
special pricing for you to get a ticket for that.
So grab your friends, grab your family. Come on.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Where do people get the tickets for this?

Speaker 2 (04:15):
People can get the tickets. They can go to Saint
Marymobile dot org to get your tickets, either a single
ticket or a table. Not too late to register. We
do have a few tables left, not many, so if
you want to participate, go ahead and go Saint Marymobile
dot org.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Okay, Stmrymobile dot org. Now I'm the MC, but I'm
not on microphone the whole time. You also have a
guy that does an auction, You're gonna have great things
to bid on.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Yes, we have some silent auction items as well as
some that are on their website. I don't know if
it's on Actually don't know if it's on the website.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Okay, well, but.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
We do have silent as well as regular auction items
that you can bid on. It's a lot of fun.
Did I mention that we have priests that you can
bid on as Yeah, you already to make a summer
It is a fundraiser, so keep that in mind. And
if you like to win and want bragging rights, maybe
a good idea to bid on one of those priests.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Okay, So this is happening on Thursday night, Midtown Mobile.
When does everything start?

Speaker 2 (05:21):
The event starts at five thirty. We start serving food
at five thirty, so you can come then eat, enjoy
some company, get a few drinks, get a little loosened
up before the actual event starts. Trivia starts at I
believe six forty five. We want to keep it on
time because we want to get you out there, out
out of there at a decent time. So it's we're

(05:42):
trying to wrap it up about.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Nine o'clock, okay, So that is coming up Thursday night.
And again that's why I'm not going to be here
doing the show live Thursday. I'm going to be out
there at Saint Mary's just just some of the as
I mentioned already, some of the nicest people I've met
in this town are at that event. So if you
just want to meet some nice folks, get yourself a
ticket and support that church all right again, Tickets available

(06:05):
at Saint Marymobile dot org.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Correct, and we always love having you out there, Henry.
You are a fan favorite by far. So now as
long as you will do it, we will have you
out there, all right.

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
