(01:11):
dot com. Now let's begin our conversation, so here at
Joe Bullard Acura with Iggy. Iggy tell the listeners your name.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, my name is Iggy nickname, but real name is
Ignacio Solis Polar.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Okay, I'm gonna call you Iggy.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
That's perfectly fine.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
So Iggy, how long have you been with Joe Bullard Acurra.
Yeah for four years now, four years now. Now I've
met a lot of the other people that work here
at Joe Bullard Acura. There are people that have been
here forever. They've been here, like twenty years and things
like that. Isn't that unusual in the car business?
Speaker 2 (01:45):
It really is. Yeah, usually is a turnaround. You know,
person will stay here maybe a year at most and
then go to another dealership or venture out a different job.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
But that hadn't happened a lot at Joe Bullard Acura.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
No, no, no, I'm the youngest salesperson here or newest.
They will probably.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
The newest it four years, right, And I guess just
because people are really like working here.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, yeah, the company really takes care of us. I
get the drive nice cars and yeah, pretty people are
hearing nice and yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
All right, well let's talk about jobblert Accura. Let's talk
about Accurates because I know we have listeners listening to
this show that have heard the name, but there may
not be familiar with Accura. So let people know. Just
tell us generally about Accuras. What makes Accuras so great?
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Well, it's a luxury version of Mahndas. Have you had
a Hannah before? You know already the reliability and the
pennable you know, load maintenance on the service side, it's
just like an Accura. It's a fun driving car. It's luxury.
You get a good bit of bells and whistle something
then some other brands will have in their car.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
And yeah, it's just a reliable.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
It's not like you're paying an Armor or a leg
to have it service like BMW Mercedes.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Yeah, a lot of a lot of vehicles across the
board in our country have gotten better and better through
the years in terms of reliability. But not all of
these new, great reliable cars are fun to drive. I've
test driven a few of these Accuras are fun to drive,
aren't they?
Speaker 3 (03:22):
They sure are?
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Which Accura is the most fun to drive?
Speaker 3 (03:27):
THEMDX?
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Tell the listener what an MDX is.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Yeah, it's a it's Accurate's biggest SUV with a third row.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
They've been out for a long long time.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
I've got let me interrupt you there, So you're saying
it's fun to drive. But it's a big suv. It's
a big suv, so it's even though it's a big suv,
it is a fun drive.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
It is a fun drive.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Okay, well I'm sorry I interrupted. Please expect paint that
picture for people. Describe this vehicle.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Yeah, it's a it's a seventh heater md X. It's
got about almost everything you can probably think about. Leather, seeds, heated,
a panamic moon roof. It's sophisticated. It's got a blackout grill.
It's not too tall but not too low. It's the
(04:17):
perfect ride height. And what I like to drive in
an suv and especially the old will drive system, the
super handling O will Drive. It's phenomenal than some other
brands than when they call it all will drive. You
can make a turn and you're not doing that fishtail
or you're not your body is not moving left to
right whenever you're making that sharp turn. It's just great around,
(04:41):
all around vehicle.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Now, when I asked you the one that was the
most funded drive, you said md X. Now is that
the most popular thing that you sell?
Speaker 3 (04:50):
That is that is as Accur's flagship car.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
So you've just talked about what makes it fund to drive?
But why do you think it is the most popular.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
You know a lot of people are not looking for
like a Tahoe size or you know, Yukon, but you
know they just don't want that mid sized suv because
they need to halt some things.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
That's one thing I like about the md X.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
But yeah, what's making fun is that V six And
a lot of car brands are going onto a turbos
and a smaller engine block onto it. But accurate, they're
staying strong and staying sticking with that three point five
liter V six.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Okay, so it has the power you need. It has
the power, and you've told us how it's fun to drive,
and it's it's a luxury car. So you already mentioned leather.
It's a luxurious interior.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
It is yep, yep, so it is premium Alando leather.
Of course, it has a lumbar support if you go
onto the Advance package. You even have massaging seats with that,
so you could probably doze off when I'm driving, but
you wouldn't want to, don't want you feel that good.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
But it feels really good.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Yeah, and you have diye extenders as well. You have
the bolsters on the side that can hug you a
bit more and better, so you fit perfect with the seat.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
So the MDX is your top seller.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
It's my top seller.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Has it been for a while?
Speaker 3 (06:17):
It has, Yes, it has.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
So when you do test drives around here, you go
around the mall.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
We uh, yeah, we go around the mall. We go
by International Drive. That's where I like to take all
my clients.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Going down that road.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
There's some potholes, some bumps, So I tell them go
from test them out, test out the suspension, test how
comfortable it is, See how it feels. See what you hear,
you don't hear, you don't hear nothing, fine out of ten,
I'll get a good compliment.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
About the Well.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
See, that was my experience is the last time I
was here, did some test driving a few different Accuras.
Loved them because, as as we've already mentioned several times
already in this brief come, I've been in reliable cars
that I've enjoyed owning because they were reliable, but they
weren't fun to drive. And the Accuras are fun to drive,
(07:11):
even on a brief test drive. And I was taken
on International Drive, which has some terrible potholes. It was
astonishing how smooth that drive felt. Even though I could
see with my own eyes. I was driving over craters
and all kinds of deep valleys and everything. These are
really nice, they feel wonderful.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
They sure Yep, that's right.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
So the MDX popular and I'm guessed for families because
of all the seating, all the room right yep.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
You can fit a lot of people back there. Yeah,
that they're row helps, but also you do a lot
of people don't use that third rows great amount space
to haul a groceries.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
You know, football events, tailgating.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
We put a rubber floor mats and trunk tray on
the back of the car so you can protect the
back of your vehicle but also haul good amount things.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
So iggy, the MDX is the most popular. We've established that.
What what is another top seller for Accura that people
really enjoy?
Speaker 3 (08:17):
Uh? That would that would be the rd X.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Okay, what is an RDX.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
Rd X is a mid size suv. Uh.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
There is a smaller engine in that it's a four
cylinder two point zero leader four cylinder turbo charge against
two hundred and seventy two horse power. That one's a
little bit zipier zippier.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
Yeah, yeah, a.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Little bit zippier on the get go because of what
that turbo does. Yeah, it's a if a lot of
people you know are just single, just themselves, just graduated
at college or high school and needed a car. Uh
first firsthand, that would be a car that would probably
recommend to those people.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
The r d X, the rd X. So the is
the r d X would you say? It's kind of
just like a smaller version of the MDX.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
So I'm gonna have the same luxury if if I
want those packages, I can get great package this that
will provide that luxury.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
For me, right right?
Speaker 1 (09:18):
Uh, what do you have anything that you would call sporty?
Speaker 2 (09:22):
The a set, the one, the aspect, it's an appearance
spect Uh. Everything on that car has blacked out. The
wheels or they have a sharp gray.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
Look to them.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
The interior. You have ebony interior which is black. You
have red stitchings going alongside of it, and you have
swayed material down the middle of your seat.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
And even the steering wheel.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
It has a bottom feel like a bottom or a
sportier steering wheel as a bottom look to it. So
it looks really sporty than just your traditional round steering wheel.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
That would be our sport your car.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
A lot of people love to test drive that one.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
A lot of people do they think it's fast of it. Yeah,
it's a it's a fun little car.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
Talk to me about the Integra.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
The Integra, it's our hatchback vehicle that's also a fan favorite,
especially the type s uh. It's comparable to the Hanna
Civic type R our Integras and they're fun cars. Same
category that falls into people who just graduated high school
or even in the first car, because you know, parents,
(10:35):
that's what they drove the first time was the Integra.
That was really really popular back in the day. So
they brought it back out and you know when parents
are like, oh wow, the Integra, that's my first car.
It's a perfect they know already it's a perfect fit
for their daughter or son.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Now. But do people people my age ever get an Integra?
Speaker 3 (10:54):
Always?
Speaker 1 (10:55):
Always because it looks fun. It is a fun it
is it's something that looks like it could be fun
to absolutely.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Absolutely. I've got I've got clients before.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
And that age.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
Okay, good, I'm glad you're helping beat my age. Now
you just mentioned people bringing in their kids. Do you
have a lot of repeat customers with the Accura brand?
Speaker 2 (11:17):
Yes, yes, people fall in love with it so much
that you know they hate the trade in, but when
they see the new style or a new year, they
just want it. So yeah, we've gotten people who trade
in their old Accurates and getting into a new Accurate.
And some people will yet take their Accurate and just
(11:38):
drive into the wheels fall off, and then get another one.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
We know. I met one of your your coworkers the
first time I was here. I think it's Larry. He
was telling me that he bought a used Accura when
he first started working here and drove it. I think
he's still driving it.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
So has it.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
That's l still driving it. Yeah, So these these they
do have that reliability that your company is known for.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
I think that Tila has about three hundred horsepower, I
mean three hundred thousand miles. It takes it up to
Ohio because that's where he's from on a whim mom
go yeah, just gets it all the change and just
hits the road.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
You know a lot of people I'm sure listening to
this radio station. I mean they might be like me,
and they want a vehicle that is fund to drive,
that you like looking at, that feels luxurious. But at
the same time, for a lot of us, the most
important thing is the reliability factor. That's right, and that
speaks to it. Somebody driving this car for three hundred
(12:38):
thousand miles back and forth from Ohio for years and years.
Tell me about the warranties that you have for Accuras.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Yeah, on a new car, it's four years fifty thousand
miles that's limited, and in six years and seventy thousand
miles on the power train. And for an additional you
get a year or up to twelve thousand miles of
free maintenance. That's including an oil change and your tires
(13:06):
being rotated, and also a multipoint inspection sheet with it
letting you know what's the next your next visit, what's
needs to be done, or how long that part needs
to be taken care of.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
Iggy, do you have a good service department here?
Speaker 3 (13:20):
Absolutely?
Speaker 2 (13:21):
You know from a guy who actually used to work
and the service. Yeah, they George Haley. George has been
here for over probably thirty.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
Years, thirty years in the accurate service department.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
In that seat, in that chair for thirty years. Yeah,
he's been here for a long time.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
Okay, so that means he's seen it all.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
He's seen it all, he's taking he's touched a lot
of accurates, and he's talked to a lot of people. Yeah,
he's a wonderful, wonderful guy.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
Now do you do you all? Do you do like
other dealerships and offer certified years. Is that something that
you do?
Speaker 3 (13:59):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (14:00):
Can you talk a little bit about that.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Yeah, our certified pre owned vehicles that we do one
hundred and eighty two multipoint spection. So as soon as
the vehicle gets traded in, our master's technician takes a
look at it and they do that checklist, checking out
the interior, the exterior, the fluids, transmission, brakes, rotors, tires, engine,
(14:22):
the check it all and with the warranty on that
car is as soon as that manufacturer limited warranty expires,
you get it two years or up to two hundred
thousand miles whichever comes first, and for the power train
up to instead of seventy thousand miles, and it goes
up tow one hundred thousand miles, and you get other
benefits like roadside assistant, any trip interruption, so for example,
(14:47):
the car forever some reason happens to break down the road,
accer will pay for your rental car and if the
car needs to be needs to stay overnight at the
Actor store, they'll even pay for your hotel, well, your
hotel to stay at and you get a maintenance package
as well. You get free oil change for the first time,
(15:08):
tie rotated, your break change, break fluid change, cabin filter,
air intake filter, and if it's an all will drive
your differential fluid as well.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
Do people come here looking for used Accuras.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
Half the time?
Speaker 2 (15:23):
Yes, yes, kind of because they fit the bill of
what they're looking at. The mileage is perfect. We usually
get under thirty thousand miles on our Accurates.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
Oh nice, okay. And these cars hold their value?
Speaker 3 (15:37):
They do? They do? They help?
Speaker 2 (15:41):
Yeah, Accura, they do a great job on limiting quite
a quite a amount of cars to the clients, the customers,
and that's how they can hold their value. You don't
really see a whole lot of Accurates on the road
because they're a well special car drive but accurate. They
(16:03):
do just a great job in helping the clients keep
their value.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Uh, you say you don't see a lot of them. Uh,
you don't see a lot of them broke down, right,
you know you don't. You don't see them tote a lot.
That's right now. I noticed when I walked into Joe
Bullert Accura that I was not swarmed. So can you
talk to the listener what the car buying process is
like here when somebody decides to drop in and learn
(16:30):
about Accuras and see if they want an accurate how
does the process work?
Speaker 2 (16:34):
Yeah, we keep we always keep it pressure free, and
we I myself typically wait until the client gets out
of the car. You know, they adjust themselves. They come
in and I of course open the door for them,
come in, offer them water. I think, hey, do you
need to use restaurant maximum? And hey, they were here
for sales service aparts. Well, so they say they's sales.
They tell me what they're looking for. I said, okay, great,
(16:56):
let's have a seat. Let's find out which vehicle bes
fits you, going over the features with them, going over
the color choices that are available to them. And then
once we find that out, I'll pull a car around
for them. So that way they're in the AC and
you know, they have a cold water bottle next.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
To them and they just get that luxury feeling.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
You know.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
I think a lot of people will appreciate no pressure.
I'm one of many people that have been highly pressured
at other dealerships years ago. Glad to hear that you're
not doing that here, right.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
Yeah, it's always it's always a turn off when you
know you're getting asks.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
A million questions, you know, when you want to buy,
when do you want to make this happen? All that.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
That's not the not the kind of business I like
to do. I always keep a pressure free.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Very very good. So are is there an accurate we
haven't talked about. We talked about the MDX, the RDX,
the Integra.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
There is a new model that Accurately came out. It's
called the ad X for this year, the twenty twenty five.
It is a compact suv. It's the same size or
linked wise and with wise as the Integra.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
It's just taller now.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
It kind of fits like the QX fifty five or
the NX comparable like Infiditie and Alexis their brands. Accurates came
out came one out called the ad X. It's another
fun little car to drive around.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
So it is A. It is a compact suv and
I guess I'm going to assume Accurate came out with
it because that is such a popular category right now.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
So what's the reaction been to the A d X.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
A lot of people, a lot of people liked it
or love it. They once they sit in it, they
didn't think there will be plenty of room, but there's
there's plenty of room in there, and especially with the
features on that car as well, you know, comes with
cool seeds. He just sees if you get the Aspec
just a middle trim level. There's three trim levels. You
(19:03):
have the ady X, you have the A Spec, and
you have an Acepec Advance.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
They're really sported your cars.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
Panoramic moon roof, heads up display, cameras are on the
whole car, even with that kind of size.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
To the vehicle.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Yeah, we've got a lot of good reviews about them.
Speaker 1 (19:24):
So, Iggy, we're almost out of time here is now
this time of the year a good time to buy
an Accura.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
It's always a good time to buy a car. But yeah,
with Accura, they have some good rates going on now,
which we haven't seen in a long long time. Yeah,
for a like for the example of the MBX twenty
four up to sixty months, you get four point nine
to nine, which luxury car manual hardly ever see our
(19:50):
RDX is the same way as well, the TLX as
well the Integras you get three point nine to nine
actually on those cars. But yeah, and of course if
you're military, you get seven hundred and fifty dollars off
of the sales price immediately, and if you just graduate
or about to graduate, you get an additional five hundred
(20:10):
dollars off. And they're all stackable as well.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Okay, So so iggy, if somebody wants to come and
test drive some Accuras, learn more, get themselves an Accura.
Let people know what the hours are here. When can
we come to Joe Bullert Accura.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
Absolutely so Monday though Friday it's from nine o'clock to seven,
and then on Saturday it's nine to six and we
are clothes on Sundays.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Okay, what is the website?
Speaker 2 (20:38):

look up our Accuras, see what we have available, and
of course always call, always call. There's always somebody who
picks up literally in seconds.
Speaker 3 (20:52):

Speaker 2 (20:53):
They pick up in seconds and ask them all the
questions about any Accura. They're very knowledgeable to answer any questionquestions.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
All right, well, Iggy, it's been a pleasure talking to you.
