Speaker 1 (00:01):
The Flavor podcast Network. You're listening to Staycissura and Charlie's
off the record.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Your record, okay, off the record, and Charlie is some
things that have to be off the record that you
didn't realize, right, I.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Know, And this is doing my headden So you can't
really have a open conversation with your friends or just
you know, on the phone or in person with the
kids around. And I say this purely because all of
a sudden, your kids channeled inner John Campbell and then
they start reporting these things to you know, to your parents,

(00:41):
to your wife, to other people.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
I feel like you found this out the hard way.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
I did so the other day. Not the other day,
but a couple of weeks ago, had the boys around
and we're just talking, you know, talking some nonsense. As
you deal with the boys. A lot of this stuff
is just awful funding giggles, right, So.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
They were around when the boys were around.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Yeah, so we're all eating around the barbecue and the
boys were just.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Honest, So they were just playing, not listening.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
You had music playing over the conversations, and I knew
the kids were there, so I didn't really want to
talk over the music. So it was I would say
that the level of the conversation was just under the music.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
And I guess these are also people who choose not
to hear you sometimes, like if you're going, I'll put that,
you know, do you exactly?

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:33):
The selected hearing, well this around the barbecue, the selected
hearing was they decided it was on. They wanted to
hear about what Daddy was talking about. And we were
talking about like girls that you know, we we see
back in you know, it's that type of conversation, but
that's in the past. So honestly, in the car, nobody

(01:54):
said a word. This is after the barbecue was done.
None of them could said anything to me until we
got home. I came out of the bathroom and I
walked into my room and I had my son Rob
sitting on the bed telling scene everything word for word
what he heard. He was like, so, Dad, who's Sophia.

(02:16):
I'm like, are you serious right now? Bro?

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Like, how did you hear that?

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Bro? Like you guys were so far away from us
and you heard everything. Who's Sofia?

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Like?

Speaker 1 (02:27):
I was like, Bro, this must have hurt my because
none of them said anything. You know, usually they'll take
the phone and they'll be the DJs on the car
right home. Now, nobody wanted to be a DJ. I
just wanted to get home and tell scene everything they heard.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
About about old news old news exactly.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
So the reason why we're talking about this aren't off
the record is that please just a friendly warning, be
careful what you say around your kids, because the kids, honestly.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
I know they take it that they do that. This
is my job reporting life from my dad's barbecue. But
I've had this happen too, where kids start rumors. Like
I didn't know what to do because the kids had said, oh,
you know, my parents are broken up. I'm like, oh
my god, they haven't told us, like I wonder if
it's rude. And I ended up like I saw this

(03:14):
woman after, you know, a couple of weeks afterwards, and
I just thought, ok, I'm going to say it.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
I said, are you and you are you good?

Speaker 2 (03:23):
And she goes, I think, so, I said, Okay, it's
just that the kids have started this rumor that that
you'd broken up, and just want to make sure you're okay,
and she goes, yeah, not.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
As far as I know. These are teenagers.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
So I came back, do we think that he just
made a flippant comment that yeah, now they broke.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Up exactly, you know, and they take it with them
and they turn it into yeah, well I didn't get
in trouble, and are you I said the same, you
remember Sophia if I'm back in school, and he's like, yeah,
I remember that, big yeah, I see you boys. The
things that you just gotta be careful you news.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
And stuff, those shut down, shut them down. It's off
the record. Come on, I want to hear more of Charlie.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
