Speaker 1 (00:13):
Well, you're at Home with Gary Slivan. Our guest now
is Teresa Britton. She is the vice president of marketing for.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Our product and products we talk about often wet and Forget,
So let's bring Teresa on. Teresa, Welcome again at Home
with Gary Sullivan. Hi, Kerrie, how are you doing? Wonderful?
I can't believe it, but the weather is absolutely perfect
for your products right now.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
It is, and it is actually the perfect time to
put the wet and forget on for the fall time.
I mean, you don't have to worry about, you know,
the weather being too warm and evaporating quickly. It's the
time and what I love to tell people, put it
on now and then you can kind of skip the
spring clean because it's going to clean all winter long.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
So we're going to talk several products today. We'll start
with the one that I've been preaching for at least
ten years is the the and we talked about earlier
this morning, that black streaking on roofing. You know, it's
not really damaging your roof, It just looks horrible. You
leave it on long enough and it starts having liking
and things like that moss, it will damage the roof.

(01:23):
So tell us about how to get rid of that
and how to apply it and.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
It's extra year of protection.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Yes, absolutely, you know, well, starting off, our products are
bleach free, which is really nice, so you don't have
to second guess, Hey can I use it on you know,
my roof shingles? Can I use it on my metal roof?
So you're going in confidently knowing what you're using is
not going to harm your expensive surfaces. But they're so
easy to be used with the you know the hosand
are you going to do? You catch it to your

(01:54):
garden hose, you spray the top of the surface and
work your way down and then you walk away. That's it.
You know, you don't have to do anything more, and
it's kind of shocking to people sometimes are like, that's it,
that's all there is to it, and it is. So
then you let mother nature kind of take over from
there and the wind, the rain, you know, the sun,
everything else is going to do the clean up for you.

(02:16):
So you know, your your green stains will clean up
and you know a couple of weeks it can take
a couple of months for you know, your roof to
come clean, but you know it pays lots to be patient.
You're not putting you know, really harsh, you know, like
deep on your roof. Sure, so just being a little
bit patient. And what's nice is that people kind of,
you know, over the winter, you kind of forget about

(02:36):
it and then you you know, like, oh my gosh,
just look at that. It looks beautiful and I don't
have to do anything more.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
It's amazing.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
It is a lot of times I'll get calls to Rea.
I'm sure you guys do too. Is when we talk
about the streaking. They want to know, Zach, that what
it is and they think it's mold. No, it's fungus
at sould, et cetera.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Do you have anything for mold on the inside of
the home. We've had a couple of calls today. One
was in an attic with he called it white mold.
He didn't know the species or anything, and they I know,
there's different ones, and he was wondering if that was
something he could tackle himself. I mentioned the disinfectant mold killer.
Is that something you would use for then?

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Yeah, we do. We have the indoor MOULDI mildew product,
So that's what you want to use for indoors. Like
up in the attic area. Now if you are you're
getting molled, say in the bathroom and stead, we have
a brand new product on the market. It's a mold
and mildew product from there and again all bleach free.

(03:40):
So you just go in, you spray it on and
it's in a small or like sixteen point nine ounce bottle. Okay,
it's called Forget Multi Mild Cleaner. And you'll find that
one at like Target, at Walmart, Lows all those places,
you know, go online, take a peek and find a
store near you with that one, okay, and you just
put it on. You let it do its sting. If

(04:01):
you got a really bad case, you might want to
kind of you know, like agitate it a little bit,
but it's going to clean up beautifully. Those stains are
going to, you know, come right out. And actually this
new one that I'm talking about, they just want Good
Housekeeping Award for that one for the bathroom in twenty
twenty five. So yeah, the cleaning and they were thrilled.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Yeah for sure, exactly.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Yeah, fall clean time shifting outside again, you got a
newer product, which by the way, is an awesome product,
you know for cleaning the roof and it appears almost
the exact same hoseen sprayer. It's you can clean your
screens and your windows outdoors at the same time.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Yes, we forget window and screen cleaner again. It comes
in that same great hose and bottle that you see
for the outdoor product. So again you just touch it
to your garden hose, you spray it on, you let
it sit for a little bit, and then you rinse
it clean again. You don't have to take off your
screens and you know, like over the summer, all the dirt,

(05:09):
the pull and everything that's kind of built up on
all of that. Sure, it's a hassle to pull everything out,
you know what I mean, and go a hose and
have to brush it all down. But this really just
takes all the hard work out of it. You can
do thirty six thirty six windows. That's the one bottle
of the windows, which is amazing.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
You you keep having these products that are like so
easy they're hard to believe they.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Work, right, I know, I know, but that's the goal.
We're really we're taking conventional cleaning methods that have been
you know, they're kind of a pain and they take
time and energy, and we're like, what can we come
up with? That kind of makes it simple for people.
That way, you don't dread it, you don't put it off.
You're like, hey, I can do this in a couple
of hours and get on to the you know, the

(05:53):
soccer game with the kids or whatever. I watch my
favorite football games.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
Yeah, save a couple underd Bucks. Somebody clean your windows
and screens?

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Well that too, right, Absolutely, it gets expensive. So here's
here's a do it yourself option. I think that people
will really love to give it a shot.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Yeah, somebody called me, is does that really work? Gary?
So you sound like me. That's what I always say,
that's what we say. I well, let me try it,
and yeah, it really does work. It's very easy to use.
Very Yeah. This year, it's been dusty and dry the
second half. So you know, even if you're running an

(06:32):
irrigation system, you have water spots on the windows. I
mean you said pollen in the spring. I mean there's
a lot of gunk that accumulates out there.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
You do you kind of forget about what's floating around
and what the wind's kicking up. And yeah, so again,
easy solution for you out there, just to click fix.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Yeah, and then.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
This kind of goes with cleaning also and as especially
it also goes with September and that is a product
you introduced. Gosh, I don't know how many years ago
it's been, probably, so I don't know. The Miss Muffets
Revenge getting rid of spiders talk to me because they're active.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
They are active, you know. I mean this time of year,
we've got mating season. The temperatures are shifting, so they're
moving from outdoors to warmer areas headed inside. You know,
they're they're drawn, you know, to the light areas around
your porches because that's where all the insects are. So
you're seeing them a lot more this time of year, definitely,

(07:37):
and you're like, what's happening all these cobwebs and everything.
So Miss Muffetts Revenge is a great product. Again, another
one you just kind of spray it on there, you
let it kind of sit and you can come back
the next day and then brush down all those cobwebs.
And it's great for indoor and outdoor. So this is
they love it.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Yeah, this is a good tip for everybody. Also, So
you say indoor and outdoors, got an embasement, you get
those joist pockets and they usually got some just fiberglass
insulation stuffed in there. It's not air tight at all.
And spiders love and cobwebs.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Love to be in that area. So you spray the
spider web and everything and then knock it down.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Yeah, absolutely so, Yeah, just spray that area, and then
you can also spray like a perimeter of your house
and thinking inside just to kind of create a barrier
to keep them out too. So you're kind of getting
a super one area. You're getting rid of what you
got and keeping them out.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
So and that functions for a while, that stays active.
That's not a just hit and done. I mean, you know,
it's not like we're spraying to kilt the spider. We're
creating a barrier.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Yeah, exactly. So you like, indoors, you'll get to twelve
months if you put that on there, you know you'll
you'll be good for about twelve months with that. Now outdoors,
you depends on how much is hitting that barrier. So
you know, you just kind of pay attention. If you
notice your getting spiders again, just put another real quick
spray on again. We have these bottles that are you

(09:09):
know sixty four ounces, so you can do that whole
most houses, you can do the full you know, exterior
of foundation and you're good to go.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
So so, Teresa, did you come up with the name?

Speaker 3 (09:21):
No, but I wish I could take credit for it.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Oh, I wish you could too, Miss Muffett's Revenge. I
always say it's the it's the product with the best
name ever.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Yeah, or in Mentor actually came up with that name
down in New Zealand.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Is that right? Yes, that's awesome. Your products are pretty
much everywhere, now, arete you? I mean, you know Walmart,
Lowe's Home Depot. I'm sure you got it on Amazon.
Everybody's on Amazon, so they're hard.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Right, Yeah, so pretty much. If you visit our store locator,
you can look up all the different products that we have.
The new bathroom products that I'm saying, we have nolandies
like sixteen point nine ounce bottles. You can get those
at Walmart and Target and lows Now, so those are
all out there, and that you know, our Home Depot, Low's, Walmart,

(10:12):
Amazon always have you know a lot of the DIY products.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
The outdoor cleaners that we were talking about in the
beginning of the show, or the beginning of our conversation,
I said, boy, this weather is absolutely perfect for your application.
Can you talk to us a little bit about application
of this product, not on how we know that, but
what would be the ideal I know, like some of

(10:38):
the heat we had earlier in the summer when it
was in the nineties and the sun's out, that's probably
not the best application.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Seems to me. We're going into the perfect weather for application.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
We are. Again, the big thing is you when you
apply the products, you want them to be able to
sit on the surface, you know, and work. So you
don't want them to hit a really warm surface because
then they evaporate quickly. They don't have time to do
what they need to do. You know. Even in the
window cleaner, same kind of thing. You don't want to
spray that, you know, when you've had really hot windows,

(11:13):
you know, you want to make sure you have some
shade going on early in the morning. Those type of
you know, cool temperatures are best for any of these
types of applications. Because we want to make sure you've
got the results. You know that we're promising so well.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
We got the weather for you, we got the products
for you, no excuses anymore.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
