Speaker 1 (00:11):
All right, back at it we go. Randy Schreiber joining us.
Now you've heard Randy oh well over the past ten
years as we talk about a product called gutter brush,
and very very timely to do so today. And Randy Schreiber,
how in the world are you?

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I'm great, Gary, thanks again, great, great to be here.
Falls our favorite time of year, between the beautiful weather
and staying busy helping folks keep their gutters clean. So
thank you very much for having us.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
You're quite welcome, boy. I'll tell you what. We've had
some beautiful weather too. You getting the change of the
colors of the leaves up in New England area.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
We are, Yeah, they've been falling. I think we've had
a lot of dry weather up this way, so we're
seeing a lot of leaves falling. The colors are changing already,
and it'll be be in full swing right before we
know it, I'm sure.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
I'll tell you what. We've got a lot of leaf
drop from dry weather too. We haven't got really much
color yet, but I'll tell you we got plenty of
leaf drop, so we got to keep those leaves how
the gutters too. Hey, you've got a big promotion going on.
Let's talk about the promotion on the gutter Brush because
I'm sure people have heard about it. We're going to
talk about it here in a second. But you've got

(01:21):
the best special going on right now that I've seen
it is.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Yeah, it's our biggest sale of the year. It's it's
a big fall promotion that we're offering your listeners of
thirty percent off and free shipping when they use the
code Gary three zero on our website of gutter brush
dot com where they can always call us. But yeah,
it's just a great time of year. We want to
help folks get the gutters protected before those leaves fall
and before the winter weather arrives. So again it's it's

(01:48):
thirty percent off and free shipping.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
You know that.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
That makes it very affordable. Most homes can be protected
for probably two to three hundred dollars, is.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
What an average. That's a great deal. That's a great deal.
Sometimes it's just a matter of saying yes today, I'm
going to do it. So I'm gonna give everybody the
phone number two. It's eight eight eight three nine seven
ninety four thirty three. And that's a limited sale, correct,
I mean that's for a few days it is.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Yeah, we're gonna run it right through Tuesday, October seventh.
I believe it is so so right now from today
through tuesday. If folks need any help with with questions,
we're always happy to give them a hand. And we
can even for people that don't want to get out
and measure gutters. We actually are even able to take
some satellite measurements for folks that want, oh wow, up
determining how many feet of gutter they have. So please

(02:35):
feel free to give us a call or visit the
website and we can. We'll be happy to help any
way we can.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
You definitely make it easy. And you know, I start
off today's show actually knowing I was gonna have you
on saying, you know, if you don't do anything in
your gutters, just make me a promise. Come November tenth
or fifth, you got to clean those gutters. And if
it's going to require a ladder, and you're gonna get
up and you're gonna scoop that gunk out of your gutters,

(03:02):
and if you don't, you will have problems. Is that
fair to say?

Speaker 2 (03:07):
It is?

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
If the gutters, I mean, it's one of those things
where you'd be amazed. How much damage can you know
small overflow can cause when it comes to you wet basements,
foundation damage, you would rot. So if the gutters have
even a little bit of debris in them, and that
debris flows down to the down spout and clogs the
down spout and the gutters overflow, you're you're you're backing

(03:28):
water up into places it's not supposed to be and
causing all sorts of headaches and damage. You're right once
the gutters are down if you can. If you don't
have gutter brush, you don't have a way to keep
them out of there. You blow them out or clean
them out before winter, because that's when things can get
really messy.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Randy for people who maybe have not heard us talk
about the gut or brush, explain what it is and
the simplicity of installation.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Yeah, it's just basically it's a simple cylinder shaped brush
that comes in three foot length. It's almost like a
big oversized bottle brush that that you slide right into
your gutter channel and create a big filter in your gutter.
So there are three foot sections you slide into your gutter,
filling them end to end, and there's no tools no fasteners,

(04:15):
nothing screwed into your gutter, nothing's interfering with your roofing shingles.
So it's just a very very simple alternative to some
of the screens and covers and other gutter guard solutions
that have been around for.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
A long time.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
But you basically fill your gutters with this big cylinder
shape brush. We've got six different diameters to protect just
about any any size gutter and channel that's out there,
and it creates a filter that it's very easy to
install and very easy to maintain. At some point, I
guess any of these gutter systems are going to require
maintenance from time to time. And that's one of the
things people really like about gutter brush is Yeah, pull

(04:51):
them out, shake them out, and slide them back in.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
It's very very easy, right, It'll make that chore a
lot easier and you may not even have to use it,
I know on my whole house. So there's just one gutter,
I got to do that about maybe every other year
or every three years. A little shake and that's it.
The rest are still there and in position. And what
it does is the leaves and stuff that fall they

(05:14):
just can't get into the gutter they're laying on the
top of the bristles and then they blow off. No
problem with water getting down into the gutter like some
of the caps and screens that go over gutters. Correct.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Yeah, that's one of the problems we hear about the
other systems is there's a lot of options like a
gutter cover or a screen. And what typically happens when
you covered most of your gutters with a piece of
metal and you get a heavy rain, that water comes
down your roofline very quickly. A lot of the water
passes right over that gutter guard and comes off your roof.

(05:46):
Same with screens. As dirt and dust and pollen and
things like that are coming off your roof, that tends
to fill the cells and the screens and covers. It
creates kind of a mat that water can't get into
your gutter.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Right, So, folks, there's no tools. You don't have to
cut it. It folds into itself, no fasteners, don't have
to modify the roof. So it's an inexpensive, effective and
easy way to protect the gutters. And it's got some
added benefits too. I know, after after you had the
gutter brush for a while, you realized it really helped

(06:21):
with a reduction of ice dams.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Yeah, we did. It's funny. The first couple of years
we were in business, we started getting more and more
reports from customers, especially in northern climates with a lot
of snow and ice, that had faced problems with icicles
and ice dams in the past. And they told us
that since they installed the brush, brush is black in color,
so when black gets exposed to a little bit of
sunlight or even even in cold weather, it tends to

(06:45):
warm up a little bit. And we had a lot
of people telling us that they've had substantially less trouble
with ice build up and ice dams since they've installed it,
So it's been a great additional benefit.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
How about commercial buildings, Are they catching on metal buildings
and things like that because they have some of these
seven or eight inch gutters doing much business with buildings
like that.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
We are, Actually, that's one of our fastest growing areas
is on these you know, large commercial buildings, uh, you know,
metal buildings, pole barns, agricultural buildings, airplane hangars. There's there's
big you know, big gutter systems and and uh on
these commercial structures that that just don't have many options
to keep think debris on. So we make the brushes

(07:29):
all the way up to seven and eight inches in
diameter to to fill and protect those larger gutter systems.
And we're having a lot of great feedback from commercial customers.
You know.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
One of the things we talked about a lot on
this show of r Indya, especially in the last couple
of years, is pest control. Keeping squirrels, birds, mosquitoes and
all that protected gutters really diminish those claims.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
They do. Yeah, they they stop that standing water from
building up in gutters that can be breeding for mosquitos.
And we have a lot of customers that tell us
that that they don't have as much problem with leaves,
but they've got problems with birds that approaching or nesting
in their gutters or rodents that are that are finding
their way into those areas. And so a lot of
people use the brush just as a as a preventive

(08:15):
measure measure to keep critters and pests out out of
those areas.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
I'm sure there's some place of the Hoa's, you know,
where they're managing a bunch of condo buildings or something
like that. If they were to look into doing something
with gutter brush. Is there volume discounts available? I know
we got this deal going wrong right now for four
days the thirty percent off, But somebody's got a big project,
can they contact you and kind of discuss that.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Absolutely. Yes, we work with with hoas and property managers
to try to help them protect you multi unit buildings,
and same with contractors too. We work with contractors that
are finding it to be a simple profitable item they
can offer their customers as as easy as it is
to install for a owner or do it yourself for
a lot of people would prefer not to be up

(09:03):
on a root for a ladder. So we get a
lot of great feedback from you know, landscapers, you know
general contractors, pressure washers that are already at a home
on a ladder and can easily offer this to their customers.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Well, I finally got to the age, Randy, where I'm
not a big fan of climbing up ladders, and the
gut or brush certainly answers the question to that dilemma.
And you guys are family owned, made in the USA
since two thousand and four, and you get a high
satisfaction rate. I'm sure we do.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Yeah, it's been a fun, fun project. My dad and
I started the company together in two thousand and four,
and it's been a really fun business to work on
together and talk to a lot of great, great customers
through the years and providing a simple solution that has
been helpful, and we've got primarily great, great feedback. We
have a we have a very generous warranty and performance

(09:56):
guarantee on the product, so if somebody is not happy
for any reason, we certainly want to hear about it
and make sure we provide everybody with the best experience
we can.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
You know, Ranny, when you say, right now, at that discount,
you could probably do a house for two hundred and
fifty three hundred bucks somewhere in that neighborhood. We hear
a lot about different covers that go over gutters you
mentioned them before, that are professionally installed. Some times you
got to do modifications of the roof and everything else.

(10:28):
But if I'm not mistaken, that's about three grand, isn't it?

Speaker 2 (10:33):
At least in many cases. Yeah, we talk to customers
all the time who've just gotten a quote from you.
From some of these larger companies that are providing different
screens and microscreens or covered systems, and I mean it's
shocking some of the numbers you year back. I think
I talked to somebody the other day that told me
that they'd gotten a quote for I think close to
eight thousand dollars for it, and it was less than

(10:54):
one hundred and fifty feet or two hundred feet of gutter.
And for that kind of money, there's a I mean,
you can almost install new gutters every every couple of
years if you learned too. Yeah, some of those systems
are very, very expensive.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
So now's the time. If you've heard us talk about
it in the past, I think it's probably time to
give them a call. And you can do that at
eight eight, eight three nine seven ninety four thirty three.
This sale is October fourth through the seventh, and the
coupon code is Gary thirty. So you know we're gonna

(11:27):

know it, and I know it, and probably everybody listening
knows it. And you gotta you really need to get
those gutters protected before we start having You know, we
we seem to in my city, we seem to go

So it's great timing right now with this nice weather
where it's easier access to to get up there and
take care of this some.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
