Speaker 1 (00:30):
Well, the weekend's here at Home with Gary Salvans. I
was brought to you by Jaws and small cleanup time.
That's for easy, that's for sure, and it just got
easier the Jaws. That's the just add water system. I
got the nicest email this week, someone who has used
the Jaws products tell me how wonderful they are. And Jaws,

(00:50):
whether it's the glass cleaner, the degreaser, the disinfectant, the
all purpose cleaner, it delivers pro strength products. Trust buy
the pros and if you're technical, I used some yesterday
on my grill um. Check it out for yourself. It's Jaws,
Jaws cleans dot com. Tough on dirt, easy on you.

(01:13):
You run out, you just fill it up with the
bottle with water, put another cartridge in and you're ready
to go. I'm telling you you'll love it. Jaws cleans
dot com. We thank them for sponsoring this hour of
the show and our phone number if you'd like to
jump on board, do so. It's eight hundred eight two
three A two five five. And let's get back to

(01:36):
the calls we got. Kathy, Kathy, welcome, Hi, thank.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
You, thanks for taking the call. You bet okay, so
my husband and I are getting ready to put siding
on our house. We currently have theater siding where we
might get rid of the wood. Okay, so we're looking
at the LP smarts and there's two different There's a
pros and the regular James HARDI board or the Metal.

(02:05):
My question to you, if you were going to put
one of these products on your house, which one would
you pick? And why?

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Yeah? The why is gonna be hard because they all
got their own pros and cons, But the LP siding
would probably be the one I would choose. The warranty's great.
I think it's a twenty five year warranty on color fading.
If I'm not mistaken, it's very Yeah, there, I'm sorry,

(02:35):
go ahead.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
There's two different series. The one is the Pro series
and apparently they put it on and it's baked on
and so it's got a longer warranty. And then the
regular one we think is yeah, fifteen twenty five something
like that.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
I think the Regular is twenty five, and I do
know the Pro Series is a little longer, but I'm
not really I can't sit here and tell you the
pros and cons between the Standard and the Pro series.
So that twenty five year warranty to me seems like
a really good warranty. I don't know about you. By

(03:16):
twenty five years, I'm sick of the color anyway. So
that the one reason I like the LPA is the warranty.
You have variations of looks, you know, depend on whether
you want it lapped over and you know, horizontal, vertical, whatever.
They got different choices. If you have a New England look,

(03:36):
they have a choice for that. So it's really kind
of maintenance free. It's also very durable. Some of the
questionable things on wood sightings, even metal sightings, maybe even
cement board sightings is the ability to withstand, like if
you're cutting grass, or a kid throws a hardball against

(03:59):
the sighting the house and you know, dense it or
breaks it or something like that. The LP is very
very durable. The metal sighting that's good too, But I
don't know. I think for me it's just that it's metal.
I don't really want the metal. I kind of would
like more of a wood look versus a metal look.

(04:21):
I think you can tell the difference. I think it's personal.
I don't think you're going to go wrong with any
of those. But you asked me what one I would
probably focus in on, That's the one I would.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yeah, we're leaning towards that as well. A friend of
ours told us that the metal they now have a
wood grain looked to mettle, but it's vertical. But you know,
I just I've seen metal over the years kind of
fade and just leap.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
I don't know, Well it does, you know it does.
But even the best, best of the best, I mean,
over time, it's going to weather. You know, nothing's forever.
I think the twenty five year warranty on Fate, I
think that's superior. It's probably on a lot of those
products anyway, but they're all I don't know. I just

(05:19):
think long term. I like the LP.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Okay, so we did hear that whenever you cut it
you have to feel you have to prime and paint
the ends right as long as that is followed. Really well,
you don't see that that's an issue.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Yeah, so no, I don't. In fact, one of the
things that's a that's a good thing to bring up to.
Almost all those companies that you just mentioned are at
the mercy of a contractor to make the installation proper.
It's not that complicated. But they just want to make
sure to live up to the warranty, that it's properly installed.

(06:03):
I know James Hardy with a hardyboard smentboard siding. They
went into a period of time. I don't think they'd
do it anymore, but they wouldn't warrant it unless a
certified contractor by them did the installation. But yeah, I mean,
they will all have their specifications. We talk about it

(06:26):
a lot on this show, how warranties get voided due
to you know, poor workmanship. I guess maybe one of
the things you might want to check and see if
LP has a recommended Sometimes they have advanced training for
some contractors they more or less specialize in that particular brand.

(06:47):
See if they have a listing of certified contractors for you.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Okay, okay, all right, I think that just about does it.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
All right, very good, good luck, it'll look beautiful, all right,
take care? Yeah, better than what you got, I hear you.
All right, Uh, you know that's true. And you know
how many times have I talked about this, especially in roofing,
because a lot of roofing warranties I don't know about now,

(07:21):
but you know, several years ago maybe ten years ago,
would get voided because of improper installation. You read on roofing,
you read on sighting, you read on what you're installed.
They'll have manufacturer recommendations. They knew that you had to

(07:42):
paint where the cut was, and that has to be
followed with roofing. Same thing has to be properly ventilated.
Can't be put on top of an old roof, That's right,
you gotta tear the old stuff off and ventilation being

(08:03):
by the t so it's not too hot, and break
down the shingle. You know, if it's properly installed, it's
going to service you and in roofing, and I know
this is the same way with some sightings. They have
recommended certifications for their installers, and I would definitely use one,

(08:25):
even if they are just a little bit more expensive,
because they've been trained exactly for that product. And I
don't know. I could go on their website and I'm
sure they have a list of certified installers put in
your zip code in your set to go. But so
many times people ask me, well can I do this
with a metal roof? I don't know what's the what's

(08:47):
the installation requirement? Say? And stay with that and follow
that to the letter of the law. We'll take a break,
we'll come back. Andy, you'll be first, and we got
Kristen and Mark and you can join us as we continue.
You're at home with Garry's.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
Good morning, Gary.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
How are you.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
I'm fine, thank you. Okay.

Speaker 5 (12:58):
I'm calling in today. Have a tile shower in my
master bathroom and I've started to notice a little bit
of grout deterioration, mostly around the base, and I was
looking at either regrouting it or potentially doing a silicone
beat around the base of the shower, and I would
like your input on the best path forward, maybe a

(13:19):
little bit of prep work before I do my fix.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Well, it's all about the prep work, there's no question
on that particular project. Usually they are grouted all the
way down and usually after time we switch over to
the silicone or quick seal or something along those lines.
So when you say it's deteriorating, what's going on?

Speaker 5 (13:44):
Yeah, I think in the corners of the shower, I
can see that it looks a little deeper, right, So
there's a whole almost.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
It's not all the way through the grout, Okay, but.

Speaker 5 (13:55):
I start to see that in my concern as if
I don't address it, it could leak down. And it's
on the second floor, so.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
You know probably will eventually. Yeah. Right, So if you're
my thought was go ahead, You're sorry. I was gonna say,
if you're going to grout it, or you're going to
use a calking it's going to require removal of that
grout or calking. So either way, and you're probably gonna

(14:25):
look at doing the whole thing unless and this might
be a decision maker for you. Unless you're just going
to address maybe the corner and a little bit of
the grouting and you still have some of that grouting
so you know that it'll match. So consider that. And
then also you know, is it a tubb or shower

(14:49):
and just a shower? Is there a tub shower combo
or what it is?

Speaker 5 (14:53):
Just a shower to walk in shower?

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Okay, okay, so there's some flexibility, but it's not like
it's holding you know, two hundred pounds of water either. Yeah,
so you can certainly grout that. Do you have any
of the existing grout? I do not, Okay, So so
there's the there's the deal, all right. So if you're

(15:16):
going to groud it, you got to get all that
groud out around that whole shower base. And there is
a grout removing tool which looks like a box knife,
only instead of a razor blade at the end, it's
got like three teeth. Or you can grind it out.
You can get a drummle tool and grind the groud out,
but you got to give as much of that groud

(15:36):
out as you can. And grout also doesn't like to
stick to grout, so you're gonna have to use a
bonding agent with the grout. So and you're gonna want
to come close because you're still going to have the
groud in between the tiles probably that are going to match, right, Okay,
So that's the grout, and then if you did the silicone,

(16:00):
you gotta ground you're gonna have to get take groud out.
The adhesion for calking takes place on the sides, so
on the side of the tower going up the wall
and on the side on the top of the shower
pane itself. So you got to have a crevice in there.
You don't have to fill the crevice, but that's where
the adhesion is gonna take place. Okay, And you know

(16:22):
you're probably gonna have a choice of whiter, beige bathtub
calking almond, something along those lines. Yeah, white, do what
we go with.

Speaker 5 (16:34):
And I think that helps the bonding adhesion. Is is
really helpful, Garrett. I appreciate that and then just to
wrap up in terms of maintaining the whole shower it's
new home for me and my wife, just relative maintenance,
in terms of keeping the ground and the tile clean.
Is there a particular product that you recommend?

Speaker 1 (16:53):
Is there there's a lot of there's a lot of
great products out there. Uh, I guess if I was.
Is it hard water stains? Is it mildew stains? What?
What do we What's what's the number one thing it looked?
Makes it look bad?

Speaker 5 (17:09):
Yeah, I'd say, so far, so good. We haven't really
had any use not hard water, okay, but but it
does look like the prior owner maybe put a grout
paint over the grout. Okay, so that's what that's what
we're considering.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Yeah, that's a that's a good consideration. I mean, grout
has a penetration of about three percent of water when unsealed.
When sealed, it's about a one and a half percent.
When painted, it's less than a half percent. So if
you can keep that water from penetrating in the grout,
it makes it last longer. That's the bottom line. It's

(17:48):
less likely to mildew and maybe that's why it's looking good.
So staying on top of that, it'd be good. There's
a product Wet and Forgets shower where you just spray
it on once a week and it cleans it. Okay,
and maybe why it's something you don't need to every
You probably don't need it every week, but maybe every

(18:09):
other week.

Speaker 5 (18:11):
Okay, Okay, Well, I think that helps very much. I
think the plan will be for us to probably get
a drama and clear majority of.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
That ground out.

Speaker 5 (18:19):
I think because of the look and feel, I'll probably
look to match that grout and do the bonding adhesive
you recommend it, and we'll look at some of the
wet and forget. But Garry, thank you very much for
your time, and we love your show, so thank you
taking the call.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Appreciate it. You bet all right. Our phone number is
eight hundred eighty two three eight two five five. You know,
if you don't paint the ground, I'm not selling that idea.
It's an option. Uh. Ceiling it on a regular basis
is also key. A good seiler can last ten years.

(18:57):
I think miracle ceilings which I talked about, which can
be sprayed on and then you don't even have to
wipe it off the tile. I think it's got like
a fifteen year wanting so you know, keeping it as
sealed as you can. That's the maintenance you want to do.
Your call's next will continue at Home with Gary Sullivan.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
Takes it right with a call to Gary Sullivan at

to Kristen. Kristen, welcome, good morning morning.

Speaker 6 (22:44):
I have a vinyl siding question. All right, it is
our current sighting is twenty seven years old. What are
your thoughts on painting it as opposed to replacing it?

Speaker 1 (22:57):
Well, you can paint it.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
Is that the will it last?

Speaker 1 (23:04):
If it's properly painted, it should last. Yes. The biggest
what color is it? Now?

Speaker 6 (23:12):
It's like a beige tan? Okay, and I would like
to go to like a forest or a hunter green,
something darker.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
So here's what you need to do. Go to a
Sherman Williams store, Okay, and talk to them, because there
is a reflectivity quotient for paints. The darker the color,
the more heat they absorb, and it is vinyl, So

(23:44):
a forest green or a darker color is going to
absorb more heat from the sun. And it absorbs too
much heat, it can warp. But Sherman Williams has a
special tint that they can use in paints based on
its reflectivity of solar heat cane, where they can tint

(24:10):
your paint. If they con tint to that color that
you want, that will determine, you know, how paintable it is.
If it was the other way around, it be no problem.
Oh okay, okay, But go to them and discuss that
they do have tints that can make that happen. The

(24:34):
two colors you mentioned are probably the two most extreme
to make it happen. So that's why I want you
to You're going to have to go there and make
sure that it is in fact paintable. So it may
make your decision anyway, sure, but the durability of the
paint quite honestly, it's going to be ten to fifteen years,

(24:55):
So I mean it would be good to paint as
long as it's not going to absorb too much heat.

Speaker 6 (25:02):
Okay, and I appreciate your help.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
You're quite welcome. Thank you, Take care, bye bye. Yeah,
it definitely is going to depend on that. Uh. I
don't think that's when you want to just go to
the hardware store and say, give me this forest green paint.
I'm gonna go home paint my vinyl sighting. I think
there's some precaution needs to be taken before we do that.
All right, let's go to Mark Mark Welcome.

Speaker 4 (25:27):
I you knowing Gary coming back at you with the
bottle jack.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
All right, how'd we do.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
Well? The the two joints that I absolutely could not
give up or get up, those two pulled out. It
worked like it worked like money.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
It was like butter real.

Speaker 4 (25:44):
A couple of these fasteners were so tight. Now I
got the bottlejack. I got a twenty ton, so I
literally lift there's one that I lifted the deck up
about an eighth of an inch before I realized the
deck is coming up. That's not good. So I got
my pride bar out, tapped under it, and the thing
just popped and the whole thing went back down. God

(26:07):
so yeah, whoever invented these fasteners, I will find you and.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
I will hunt you down. I will hunt you down.
I haven't yeh. We had a collar and asked if
he had heard you say about the green construction bags,
that dumpster type bags, and he was wondering if you
could have just cut those boards or were you going
to reuse them? And I said, I didn't ask that question.

(26:41):
So are you you're going to reuse them or.

Speaker 4 (26:46):
Oh no, no bags? They come and they picked those
up on a big truck and take them away.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
Okay, all right, all right, all right, there's I also
looked up after your call see if there was any
other tools for taking those things up, and there is
a couple of them. I haven't used one. One was
called a duck build deck wrecker. I have to go
check out what a duck build deck record is.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
Well, I've got a you know, I've got a one
foot pribavly bar, a thirty six inch I've got a
cat claw. Here's something else, or here's just a follow
up real quick. Yeah, a lot, about seventy five percent
of the nails are pulling through. Would you just nail
those back in or take a bull noose cutter and
cut them off or do what you can to get
them out.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
I so, now, hold, where where's the nails kind of
staying in place? Is that what you're saying or what
I missed you there? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (27:39):
When you pull the deck board up and it goes
right through the deckboard because they're so old and.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
Dry, right, and you're pitching these boards correct.

Speaker 4 (27:50):
Oh these boards are going away?

Speaker 1 (27:51):
Yeah? Okay, does it matter?

Speaker 4 (27:56):
Well? These are they're stuck in the frame when I
pull the deck top off the nail.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
So they're stuck in the frame. Well, you know, one
of the things you're gonna have to do when you
go with those boards, the new boards over those joys
or frames that you're talking about, is you want it
to be smooth. So you could cut them off and
then you could use that joyice tape on top of
that and then put your deck boards on top of

(28:24):
the joystape.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
Okay, so bullenoz, just get a steel steel blade for
a bull nose and just cut them off in.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
The tape is the most important part, because even if
you got them all the way out, I mean, you
didn't use the tape and water filtered into those joys
where the water's going, it's not pressure treated, and it'll rot. Okay,
so all right, basically snip it off, make it smooth,
put your joystape on top, waterproofs it, and you're good

(28:53):
to go.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
Sweet. All right, perfect sounds great.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
Lead it worked out, Thanks Mark, you got your fu
all right? All right, that's pretty interesting. Eight hundred eight
two three eight two five five. That's our phone number.
We're going to have a good hour and a half
to take your calls, so go ahead and grab a line. Albert.

Speaker 7 (29:12):
Welcome, hey Gary, to listen to your show for over
twenty years now, and thank you for all the information
every weekend. I just got a quick question for every
Did my bathroom put some marble flooring down? And I
don't know if they let the grout set too long,
but once they remove the grout, there's still some remaining

(29:33):
grout on the on the marble itself. Is there a
product or anything I can use other than scraping it
off to take that off?

Speaker 1 (29:42):
Is it marble? It is marble? Yeah. The only thing
that's going to take the ground off is an acid,
So that's not gonna work well with the marble. I'd try,
I'd try scra I mean, you know, there's even grout

(30:03):
pot there's even grout cleaners that are out there that
are acid base. I'd have to really check. I don't
have a product that I'd say that's going to take
off that grout off the marble and not hurt the marble.
The marble is you know, you can't use acids on marble. Now.

(30:24):
Somebody might make something on that, but I don't have
a name for you.

Speaker 7 (30:29):
So other than I maybe just trying to scrape it
off with a.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
I would guess though. I mean, I'd just be scared
to death to use some acid on that marble. I mean,
you know, even sometimes people will tell you, you know,
if you get some you got ceramic talon, you got
access grout, the the grout washes. You know. Some people
even use vinegar, but vinegar is an acid too. It

(30:54):
could it could, It would those that would dull the marble.
And I don't know of a product that would remove
the grout and not damage to marble. I'll check. I'll
peruse during the next break, and maybe somebody else knows too,

soft and it's very very even your bathroom cleaners. If

or a marble countertop, you've got to be very very careful.
What you use as a cleaner can't be a pH plus,

(32:02):

(34:58):
home with Gary. So a quick look on the grout
on marble, and I was saying, you know, you just
gotta be really, really careful staying away from acids or
anything along those lines. I'll tell you what, I didn't
really find anything. I got some a couple tips I found,
but I kind of covered doze. Their suggestion is kind

(35:21):
of the scraper, the plastic scraper. There is stone cleaners
which marbles the stone. It's pH neutral. That's the key,
pH neutral. So you can use a pH neutral stone
cleaner or just a mild dish soap, microfiber cloth and

(35:42):
scrub for grout as it's not going to actually the
only way you're going to remove the groul on marble
looks like a plastic scraper. Also a little baking soda
which can give it a little bit of a grout
a grit. That may work. I know that the Jaws

(36:05):
products in the line of Jaws, a lot of those
are pH neutral. They got the one cream cleanser. It's
got a grit. I don't know if that's pH neutral.
You might go to jawscleans dot com take a look
at their cream cleanser. That might be an option. All right,

(36:28):
let's go to Bridget Bridget Welcome, Hey Gary.

Speaker 8 (36:33):
I got a quick question for you about paint sprayers. Oh, okay,
for the interior I'm gonna be doing inside. I got
a lot of painting to do, and I figure a
paint sprayer is probably gonna be the easiest way to
go about it. What is a good one? So I'm
not I hear they clog up a lot, and it's
more of a paint in the butt than it is

(36:55):
to just get a roller.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
Yeah, you know, for inside, I mean the Wagner spray.
They've got a bunch of different brands, a bunch of
different flow rates. I would probably take a look at those,
but I kind of kind of lean on that same way.
I get it if it's a large area, like a
side of a house or something. But inside the house

(37:20):
is the house empty right now?

Speaker 8 (37:23):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (37:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (37:24):
Pretty much?

Speaker 1 (37:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (37:25):
And the floors, I'm gonna be redoing the floors, so
you're probably gonna hear from me a lot more because
I don't know what I'm doing, but I do have
to do it. Yeah, I'm gonna be doing the floors
after I paint so and I also have to do
the ceilings. And the ceilings are popcorn and I'm not
taking a roller the popcorn ceilings.

Speaker 4 (37:46):
And I don't want to scrape it off, so I
need a spray.

Speaker 1 (37:51):
Well, the biggest thing I would say is, you know
the adjustable nozzles. Obviously you are going to come into
play because you're going to have trim work. I don't know,
maybe I'm old school. I'd probably lean to that the
roller in the brush would probably do as fast a
job is spraying it, but there's a lot of prep
work you're going to have to use with with spraying it.

(38:16):
But I also get the whole, uh, the whole deal
about the the popcorn ceilings too, and before.

Speaker 8 (38:26):
You get before you're just on the popcorn ceiling.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
Well, that's a possibility that that's something you might want
to take a look at it. I think what I
would do is i'd first get to a store and
start looking at them, Okay, or get on the Wagner website.
I know they got a pretty expense extensive one. It's
I haven't been there for a while. They make they
used to make one paint sprare for the do it

(38:50):
yourself for now they make like twenty and they can
even make them where you can literally use pinpointing for
stream for you know, out or something along those lines.
But also know about the different nozzle selections. I think
you need to know about that and the popcorn ceiling

(39:12):
just for your information. And you may know this already
popcorn ceilings are a mixture of paint, topping compound and
sometimes starfoam beads that are just sprayed up there and
the ceiling is then not taped or not finished. Okay,

(39:33):
and sometimes depending on the mixture which we don't know,
that popcorn ceiling is not really sealed. So if you
put a heavy layer of water based paint on that,
it could delaminate the popcorn ceiling.

Speaker 4 (39:52):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
So then you get into you know, testing it in
the corner with you know, a wet rag or something
a spray by. I don't see if it's going to
dissolve on you and you might end up having to
use like a solvent based kills product on the ceiling
before you paint it.

Speaker 8 (40:11):
Okay, great, So just think.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
That one through also, and then in the meantime, I think,
you know, I don't think you're going to need a
real powerful sprayer, but there is different things, you know
a lot. Probably the best one to get for what
you're going to use it for, quite honestly, is something
with a flow control. It's it's fanwidth, it has different

(40:36):
pressure sittings, and it's adjustable so you can tailor you
can kind of tailor the spray to whether you're against
the door jam, whether you're against the ceiling. But I've
used sprayers. I've used them outside, and I guess I
could use them in a like a big old poll
barn on the inside. But for a house, I don't know.

(40:59):
I just I feel like you could probably accomplish the
same thing with a roller.

Speaker 8 (41:05):
H I got the whole house to do it.

Speaker 1 (41:08):
Yeah, that's the thing.

Speaker 5 (41:10):
Oh man, yep, So I take a.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
Lot of time floors. Yeah, I think one of the
things the misconception is, I mean, there's a place for him.
I'm not telling you not to get one. I'm just
telling you to become really familiar with them before you
make a decision to buy one, because and how often
you're going to use it, and how how can you
use it? And more than anything is the prep work. Now. Granted,

(41:37):
I mean you could even cover the floors if you
want to minimize the mist and all that, but you
know you can't have the type if you've got a
window moldings or door moldings or window glass, that's all
got to be taped up. That takes time. Yeah, I mean,
you're not going to roll as much, but I don't
know if you're really going to save any time.

Speaker 8 (42:00):
Okay, yeah, you're right, probably, Yeah, i'd save money to
just rolling it.

Speaker 1 (42:05):
So yeah. And another thing is, if you have a
garage or something, go rent a paint sprayer and play
with it a little bit. Uh huh. That's an option too,
So go to a tool rental and just kind of
mix up something and if you've got an area where
you can use it, and you'll quickly realize how much

(42:28):
you know preparation work you're going to do, and how
you feel about using the paint sprayer, and it may
be all positive or maybe no, I'm not doing this.
I mean I think it'd be nice to have a
little experience before I made that decision.

Speaker 8 (42:48):
Okay, okay, all right, well I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (42:52):
Thank you, all right, very good, Thank you. Take care
bye bye. Be careful on those ceilings, folks. And I
mean it we've had over the years. And even more
than that is the ones, not so much the popcorn ones,
but the ones that are just stamped. It's a topping compound,
it's unprimed, it's unpainted. It made fast work for the

(43:12):
building the house or the remodeling. But then somebody comes along,
gets a water staining on there. Oh, I'll just I'll
just paint that ceiling, and then all of a sudden
it starts delaminating. It absorbs the water because it's really
not sealed. Sometimes they're sealed very good on the popcorn,
but we don't know that. You have to test that

(43:34):
before you get to that point. All right, we got
Bill Carroll, Tom sit tight. We're gonna take a break,
and when we come back we'll have more calls to
talk about and learn about. We'll also going to learn
about replacement windows. We've had a couple of questions on that.
That'll be in the next hour as we continue. You're
at home with Gary Sullivan.

Speaker 3 (44:29):
Start a project and don't know how to finish it.
