Speaker 2 (01:37):
How are you?

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Yes, sir? Fine? Thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
That's kind of funny because one of my questions. I
have two questions. One of them was on roof Max,
and I listened to your comments on it, so you
pretty well answered those questions.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Okay, have you heard any.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Problems with the product? Does it lay ut? Do you think?

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Yeah? I have not heard any problems with it. I've
not got it on my home, but I'm intrigued by it.
I was intrigued by it about five or six years ago,
and I called up and talked to their technical services
that I actually talked to the owner of the company,
and kind of that's kind of the information I'm using.

(02:17):
But I've talked about it a lot and people have
Actually I've gotten compliments on the product. I haven't had complaints.
So even the owner was saying, you know, it's it's
you know, I don't want everybody to think I'm curing
all their roofing problems. But if you if you're expecting

(02:38):
thirty years out of your thirty year warranty roof, you're
probably not going to get thirty years out of it.
So with this product, we can rejuvenate to shingle and
make sure the granulars aren't falling off because it's drying out,
and we can get you to thirty years. Or if

(02:58):
you're going to be in that house for another three year,
that might be something you want to do rather than
putting a roof on. And I've had multiple people call
and say, boy, that was really good, thank you. It's
perfect for me willing to stay in this house for
a couple of years, and I didn't really want to
buy a roof. Then I you know, it's yes, I

(03:18):
feel confident with.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
It, okay. And in my situation, I'm eighty four years
old and I've had haven't had them come out to
the house and give me a cost plus roofers come
out to give me a cost on replacent roof, And
you're right, it's twenty twenty five percent of the cost Okay,
And I'm figuring, you know, five years. I'm eighty four now,

(03:40):
so like pretty good.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Yeah, well, you know ron one thing you might check,
because I haven't checked. I have it on my list
to check is insurance companies. Right now. I'm not going
to say playing games, but the roofing claims are in
their their site. Okay, they're really trying to crack down
on it, and I wholeheardly am behind them. I think

(04:03):
there's some fraud going on, like you get a free
roof because we found this, that and the other thing.
I would just double check to make sure that roof
is still covered. In other words, if they come back
and say well, because what they're doing is they're pro
rating claims on roofs now, you know, so they go, ah,
you know you got a twenty year roof. It's a

(04:26):
thirty year warranty. You know, we can only give you
whatever the percentages of the cost of that roof, which
I think is fair. But it's a kind of a
change in the game plan. And I've heard a couple
of people ask me about, well does the insurance cover
I don't know the answer to that, but I've also

(04:46):
had several people because I talked about it on the
show that wrote me and said, yeah, what you'll have
to do or what we had to do with this
insurance company is we had after it was done, we
had to have them come back out and make sure
that it in fact was documented that it was done,
and then they covered it. So, okay, just a caveat.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Would you wait? I'm thinking of waiting till the spring.
I don't know. I've always heard it's not a great
thing to replace reots in the winter because the sun
doesn't shine on it and so forth.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Yeah, I don't know if they do it year round
on the roof max or not. I would say if
it's above freezing, they do it. I don't know if
where they stand on that though below freezing.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
All right.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
My other question is I have a large room and
I just bought it this summer a dehumidifier, and I
set it on fifty percent automatic. You know it's supposed
to keep it at that, but there's no reason that
they have that going now, right.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Well, it depends what your humidity level is. But well,
the quick answer would be probably not. Okay, So when
it gets thirty two degrees outside, ideally the humidity level
inside your home's like thirty five percent.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
Damn.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
So I'm wondering if it's even running.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Very seldom, but I'm very seldom, you know, and it
doesn't fill off the bucket, right.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
So for no I'd probably unplug it. If you ever
get a chance, get yourself something for Christmas. Call the
humidity Guide tells you what the humidity in your home is,
and just remember in the winter time, you want it
somewhere between thirty five and forty percent. Uh, I'm sorry,
go ahead, go ahead. I was going to say, it's

(06:27):
better drier than it is wetter, So you want to
be forty percent or below, ideally around thirty five percent.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
You get that the hardware store sure don't know what
it is.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Yep, okay, yep.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Okay, all right. I appreciate it's always ironic that we
here had two calls on roof.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
We're starting to get a lot of calls on that.
In fact. Yeah, I kind of like the idea of
the product. Again, it's not for everybody, but I think
it falls in a category for a lot of people,
you know, especially you know who knows it's I have
a personal thing. But it does work and certainly cost
effector to get you a few more years.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
Okay, I appreciate it, all right, take care Ron, thank
you bet all right.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
And again our phone numbers eight hundred eight two three
eight two five five and you can jump on board.
Gives me time to tell you about my Jaws tip.
You ready for this. I always give tips for cleaning
around the holidays, and it's brought to you by Jaws.
And I'm talking about countertops. Avoid damaging your countertops. Avoid

(07:33):
products that contain bleach or a citric acid, especially on
sealed granite or quartz countertops. Over time, they will dull
the finish to a point of requiring expensive receealing. Now,
the Jaws, kitchen, granite, and multi purpose and disinfecting cleaners
are all safe for these surfaces. Again, it's the kitchen cleaner,

(07:56):
the granite, the multi purpose, and the disinfecting cleaners are
not gonna hurt your hard surfaces on your countertops. It
preserves the shine, it doesn't dull, it doesn't damage. And
right now they got the cleaning Caddie twenty percent off
plus all their products twenty percent off. The code is Gary.

I hope you're having a great weekend getting a few
things checked out around the home. And isn't that what
it's all about, Just finding out where the problemaries are
and what needs to be done and maybe we can
help you. And if you'd like some help, it's eight
hundred eight two three eight two five five uh, don welcome.

Speaker 7 (11:36):
Yeah. I want to talk about the humidity in the
basement in the house and a lot of the armies
they use they get lime at the Smith company where
they make cement and stuff. They get that lime and
they'll put a little bit in a bucket every so
often in the basement and that's how they take care
of the humidity. And they don't they're not running a dehumidifier.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Well, you know another thing is there's actually a product
out on the market called damp Rid which has been
out for probably seventy eighty years, Don, and it's calcium
chloride and it's got like a little colander at the
top of the bucket that you sprinkle that in and
underneath it is an empty bucket and it draws moisture

(12:20):
and same kind of thing as the line you were
talking about. But yeah, there's natural ways to do it.
There's all kinds of ways to get rid of the
humidity or get rid of humidity levels. But usually in
the wintertime that's not you know, it's more of a
dry temperature and or dry humidity inside our homes in

(12:41):
the wintertime. So yeah, you don't need right now, that's
for sure.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (12:46):
I mean, you know for the summer and everything. So
it saves your money of having to buy humidifire and stuff.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Yep, yep, it will all right, Thank you, You're welcome,
Thank you appreciate it. Yeah, there's other ways now, wow,
even the easy breath. You know, we talk about that
and we don't talk about it enough in terms of
working and do you medification, but you know, it gets
sort of off gassing of you know, it goes back

(13:14):
to the Department of Non Energy EPA. I guess they
rate out air quality and I think the average home
is five times more polluted than the outdoor air. And
you know, if the easy breathe in the home will
take out indoor pollutants, and of course excessive moisture is

(13:35):
an indoor pollutant. Also raid ons an indoor pollutant, and
it takes that out of the house. Do you Midifiers
are sometimes needed. Sometimes they're even needed with an easy
breath if it's excessive. We got into that whole conversation
three or four years ago. Well we get into it
a lot, but three or four years ago we were

(13:57):
talking about the running the air handler the fan on
during air conditioning season, and that's a no no. And
the reason is it's pulling air out and the coil's
got water all over them all the time. I and

(14:18):
you got that fan running all the time, they never
dry out, so you're continuously recirculating the humidity. So in
the summertime, when it's hot and humid out, you got
the air conditioner going that fans should be on auto
in the wintertime. Sure you can put it on right now.

(14:39):
You can put it on. There's no air conditioner running
in a lot of parts of the country, so you
could leave it on and redistributing the heated air, which
can be advantageous. So it really depends on you whether
you're heating or cooling, what your humidity level is. And

(14:59):
guess what the one thing great stocking stuff for here
you go, uh A humidity guide. Every home should have them.
And if you have a weather station, you know, a
little thing that hangs on the wall or sits on
your desk, has a little uh, a little box that

(15:24):
goes outside that reads the temperature and humunity for outdoor,
and then the station it self reads the temperature and
humidity for indoor. You can see how you're doing and
it changes depending on the outdoor humidity. I've had several
days this week where my outdoor community and my indoor
community was right around in the very low forties is

(15:46):
like perfect. So it depends how tight your home is,
It depends how your what your lifestyle is, where you're
going and coming and the doors are opening all the time,
you know, I mean, it depends on a lot of things.
Depends if you're using a bathroom fan, using a fan
when you're cooking. It goes on and on because the

(16:08):
variables are always there. So having a little humidity guide
or a weather station where you can look at outside
and in side. I find it very helpful. And you know,
if you get it in where it's like ten degrees
outside and you're running indoor humidity of fifty five percent inside,
perfect for July, horrible for this time of the year.

(16:32):
You can make those adjustments. Start using those fans, and
that's really the key, is using the fans and controlling
that humidity and you'll have a healthier home. All right,
let's grab Frank here. Frank, welcome, Hi Gary, How are

(16:54):
you good? Fine? Thanks?

Speaker 8 (16:57):
I have an.

Speaker 4 (16:57):
Issue with.

Speaker 8 (17:00):
A log burning fireplace. This is a metal insert type fireplace,
and I have a separation from the top outlet of
the fireplace to the double wallf metal flu going up

(17:20):
for the venting. And I'm wondering if is there something
that I can use in the way of a cement
or some other kind of a material that can I
can use to seal that, or is there some kind
of a collar or something that you could insert in that?

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Well, there may be a collar, I don't know if
a cement is really what you're after. They do make
a fireplace cement called retort cement, and it is a
It comes in a caned pre mix that you can
use almost like as a patch on the brick, the
fire brick and the mortar. But it sounds like you're
missing a connection from the top of the stove into

(18:05):
your into your champney, chimney, the chimney connector.

Speaker 8 (18:11):
Yeah, it looks like there there has been some kind
of a separation, as if the flu has has moved,
and it's not even the whole the entire circumference of
that outlet from the from the fireplace itself. It looks
like it's almost been canted somehow.

Speaker 7 (18:32):
So Yeah, and.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
I wonder if that since it is this kind of
like an insert that goes in, I wonder if that
is correctly positioned.

Speaker 8 (18:44):
Well, it's this is installed back in nineteen eighty six
and it's been fine, I guess ever since then. I
just recently had it inspected, and that's what the inspection revealed,
this separation. And I'm just trying to if there's an
easy way to remedy that situation.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Did he give you a way to remedy it.

Speaker 8 (19:07):
No, he just gave the inspection and said that there
was a separation and that that was an issue.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Yeah, what I would probably do, And I don't know
of an easy way because I can't see the picture
and exactly what they're speaking of, Frank. But what I
would go to is I'd go to a place there's
a lot of just chimney CSI certified Chimney sweep stores
and talk to them and see if they have something
for you. We'll continue at home with Gary Sullivan as.

Speaker 5 (19:41):

Salvin here for Roto Router Plumbing and water clean up.
The team that can fix, tune up, or replace any

(21:51):
brand of water heater, whether it's gas, electric, conventional or tankless, well,
it's Rotor Router. I don't like cold showers, So when
eleven year old water heater dyed this hyar, I called
Roto Router and had a new one installed right away
for water heater service called one eight hundred Get rodo

(22:20):
all right, back at it we go. Thirty three minutes
after the top of they are talking a little home improvement.
Happy to take your call. It's eight hundred eight two
three eight two five five. Feel free to grab a
line chatting about all kinds of things and spend a
little time outside today, which is nice, by the way,
Just a quick thing. We're always talking about things to
do before winter gets in full rage and it you know,

(22:46):
we talked about the ceiling concrete twice today. It's not
too late. I mean it might be too late next week,
but it's not too late right now. And then remember
you're just looking for a breathable concrete sealer. You put
it on, you really can even see it. It allows
water to escape up through the slabinal keeps water from

(23:09):
deeply penetrating into the concrete, protects it from salt and
water damage which will be coming our way in the
cold weather climates. So you know, as long as read
the label and see what the temperature limitations are, and
I'm sure most of them are forty plus, so you
can still get that done. All right, let's go to Chris. Chris, welcome, Hi,

(23:34):
how are you today? I'm fine, sir.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
Good.

Speaker 9 (23:38):
We're a roughing contractor in northeast Ohio for fifty eight years,
family run business, and that's rough Max. I wanted to
tell you about this rough Max. We have given quotes
on roofs out here for a complete tear off and
you know new New Owen's corning shingles around twelve thousand

(23:58):
dollars and the people will have gotten quotes of eight
thousand dollars for us spray on roofmac.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
I wouldn't do that yet.

Speaker 9 (24:05):
All yeah, that's I don't believe in that stuff. It's
some of the pictures they show are the singles are
completely gone, asphalts off of them. They're all curled up
and they're telling you you can spray over top of it.
We've looked at some of the spray on and the

(24:26):
roof doesn't look any different than what it was before.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
Crazy. I have to admit I'm not a roofer. Okay.
I have looked at a couple of jobs, and I've
talked to people. Like I had said before, I haven't
really had any real negative comments on it, but the
ones that I've seen in comparison prices that there wasn't that,
you know, like, it's a no brainer if you have

(24:51):
a new roof for twelve thousand or spray on for
five years for eight thousand. Who in the world would
do that? The consensus I came up with, and I
think I said what I felt, and that was not
for everybody. If you're looking to buy, you know, five
years and that roof's not gone, you know, perhaps that's

(25:14):
something you would want to look into. Just like when
people call you, I always say, you know, they always
want to know what kind of shingle to get, and
I always tell them, you find yourself a good roofer first.
Somebody that's even maybe multi generational roofing company that's put
on a lot of roofs because their reputation is that
shingle they're using and right, So that's why I feel

(25:38):
about roofers. You know, I love good quality roofers. I
tell people all the time, get a couple estimates and
ask questions. A good roofer will encourage that because some
of the I've seen roofers, you know, fly a drone
over a house and they did a whole roof inspection
that way, and I'm not buying it. Soil you get

(26:00):
on that roof. Yeah, So I don't know. I maybe
I'm wrong with the roof max, but I think there's
a place for it. I don't think i'd use it
three times. But if I was going to be moving
that house two or three years, I didn't want to
throw a roof on. And it was twenty to twenty
five percent, And that's kind of the number that I'm

(26:20):
hearing from my listeners. You know, you you heard a
bigger day. But if it was twenty twenty five percent,
I was going to be there for two or three years,
that might be something I'm interested in, But I wouldn't
say it's for everybody.

Speaker 9 (26:35):
Right, These salesmen I are also very very pushy. The
gentleman told me he couldn't get the guy out of
the house. He kept pushing on it and pushing on it,
being real, real aggressive. I'm trying to sell and that's
no good idea to tell him please get out of
the house. Yeah, I just want to get the viewers
out here to think twice about this roof.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Well, yeah, I think twice about anything if you go
an investment in your home and you're spending some money.
In fact, I had this. It wasn't about roof, Max,
it wasn't about a roofer. And that's his experience. I've
told you my experience. I went to buy my wife
and I went to buy a mattress. It was about
two or three months ago, and there was a sales

(27:19):
guy there, of course, and the first thing he wants
to show us is eight thousand dollars mattresses. We weren't
looking for an eight thousand dollar mattress, maybe a two
thousand dollars mattress. And he just he was just so agnoying,
and we'd like trying to change the conversation, leave the store.

(27:40):
We're in his store and we're having a hard time
getting out and finally, listen, buddy, we're not buying a
mattress here, period, because I don't buy anything from anybody
that's that high pressure. And there's nothing wrong with doing
that in your house too. Bill, Welcome, good morning.

Speaker 4 (28:01):
I got a question to live up in northeast Ohio
and we have some problems with radon up here, particularly
in our area.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
And hello, yeah, you're listening to your radio and it's
on delay.

Speaker 4 (28:16):
I'm sorry answering the other room. My question is how
does does easy Breathe help with radon?

Speaker 1 (28:24):
It does, but it's not sold that way. So let
me just tell you the story on that to be
to be qualified saying you're reducing radon. It's a radon mitigation.
They catch the gas before it enters the house. That
is the way to eliminate radon. Okay, So they put

(28:45):
a pipe down the ground and get the gas. It
goes up a pipe and is dispersed into the.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
Environment, so it never enters the basement.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
So it never enters the basement. That's the difference.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
They catch it like underneath the concrete flour in the basement.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
Or yes, sir, so sir, Now what the easy Breathe
will do? And it will catch it when it's inside
the house and remove it. In effect, it's like opening
all your windows. Okay, okay, So so they don't sell
it as a rate on you know, qualified rate on
removing device, because if you were truly going to sell

(29:20):
your house and somebody wanted it inspected, they'll tell you
to turn off any ventilation and close all the windows
for forty eight hours, gotcha, all right, But it will
certainly when it's running all the time, it will control
the rate on level in your house.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
Yeah, it will help out, all right, get I understand
what you're saying. They can't advertise it as a removal system, right,
It's it's kind of like a helper.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
Right right, it will help, yes.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
Sir, Okay, thank you much for your time.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
All right, good enough, Thank you for the call. If
you'd like to join us, do so. We've got a
spot for you. It's eight hundred eight two three eight
two five five William welcome.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
Hey Gary. How you doing today?

Speaker 1 (30:04):
Doing fine? Thank you.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
I appreciate all you do for us.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
And I have a question. I'm considering a battery backup
from my home. It's an all electric house, I know.
I can't run heat pumps and water heaters on that.
I just want something to uh run the uh the appliances, refrigerator, freezer,

(30:32):
and some lights and Wi Fi. What I've watched YouTube
and that just goes way over my head and I
need some I need someone to simplify what I actually
need to run a house for a couple of three days.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
So it sounds to me like what you're looking at
as a whole home generator.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Yeah, exactly, But I'm in a battery battery lithium form.
I have a gas generator. It's loud and it sucks gas,
and I'm looking for something a little bit, uh, a
little bit more handler friendly.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Boom. Yeah. Well, I I don't know much more about
the lithium battery generators than I know about the propane
and the natural gas ones, which a transfer ship, a
switch through your electric panel and all that. When it
comes to the battery operated ones, I haven't really stuck

(31:36):
my nose in those. I imagine the cost is greater.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Yeah, it's corn to what size you get, of course, Yeah,
but I would.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
Do you size them up the same though? I mean,
are propellants different. Don't get me wrong, I understand that,
but you would still get to choose your circuitry, would
you not?

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Yes, yes, you could choose what what circuits are closed
when your when your backup power is on? And uh,
I don't know, I can't remember what they can they
call that switchbox?

Speaker 1 (32:15):
Yeah? Yeah, it's an actual switch in the electric panel.
So it sounds like the only differences would be the
propellant and how long that battery is going to last.
Same was if you had if you had propane, your
setup would be the same. You would check the circuit
boxes that you want, which will then be calculated calculated

(32:36):
to the size of power that you need. And then
if it, you know, turns on several times, we're going
to run lower on propane. So how long does the
lithium battery work? Do they rate those by hours?

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Well, it's this according with size you get. Uh you know,
you can get these little ones that are good for camping,
and you can get the big whole house tesla and
flow wall units. You know, it can go up to
fifteen thousand dollars.

Speaker 9 (33:11):
Okay, it's just succording what's out?

Speaker 2 (33:13):
And you know I was going to get solar panels
for it to recharge. Okay, if it gets down and dirty.
So so just meeting something for a couple of days
that would run right?

Speaker 1 (33:28):
Okay? And well, William, it sounds to me like that's
where the project starts. It doesn't sound like the the
lithium battery is going to all depend on what your
expectations are, what you wanted to do. So why don't
we start with a person. Are you going to go
through an electrician or who are you going to go

(33:49):
through to get this set up?

Speaker 2 (33:51):
Yeah? I would have to go through electrician for him
to set up that switch.

Speaker 1 (33:56):
Box, okay and all that.

Speaker 10 (33:59):
Okay, I'm not an electricians and usually yeah, so I
think where you start this project because I think the
questions will get answered as you select what you want
to do.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
And since you already have one, maybe you can talk
to him about the size of the one you have,
or go through the circuits of what you want to
have covered, which wouldn't be that difficult to do. You're
just going to you know, like, Okay, I want my refrigerator,
maybe I want both of my refrigerators. I want my

(34:31):
oven and my cook top. I want the office receptacles
and the TV receptacle, and just just make a list
of what you're wanting to do, and then we'll calculate
the size, which is going to calculate the batteries, which
is going to calculate how long you're going to last.
And you're gonna have a lot of your answers.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
Yeah, okay, I guess I just have to get in
touch with electrician.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
Yeah. I think you gotta and even have a lit
before because that's the first question he's gonna ask you.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
Yeah, okay, all right, Gary, appreciate your time.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
All right, good enough, Thank you, appreciate it. All right,

(38:10):
We go at home with Gerry Salmon. Just doing a
little quick investigating on the lithium battery generators. The main
advantage just kind of we talked about some of these. Obviously,
it's quieter, so there's not a combustion engine going, there's
no fuel, so there's lower maintenance. But it really gets

(38:33):
into the limitations, and there are some it switches automatically,
just like a propane or natural gas. Whole home generator
limitations are limited run times, so you're probably not going
to run your whole house, probably not going to run
the air conditioner, electric water heaters, electric ranges. Those are

(38:57):
considered large systems and you have a limited run time.
So it does, as he said, depend on what you
what your load is, So you got to start out
and find out what your load is. Certainly more expensive
upfront for a whole home ones, they kind of start
around ten thousand, go to eighteen thousand that's installed, and

(39:20):
generally you know, you're you're probably gonna run your refrigerator,
some pump, lights, Wi Fi, TV, phone chargers, maybe a
small space heater, and again the big load you're not
going to so knowing that is going to tell you
what you can start choosing and you're you're going to

(39:44):
be more running lights, TV, some pumps, refrigerators, and you're
gonna have to take a pass on neil. You know,
electric water heater maybe in the electric and if you
do have a gas water heater, that vent fan that's electric,
so that wouldn't be a heavy load, so you might
still get the water heater. All right, good, that's good

(40:07):
to know. I hope he's still listening. Dennis, welcome, Hi.

Speaker 8 (40:12):
Gary, you really enjoy your show.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
Thank you.

Speaker 11 (40:15):
I got too wet and forget questions. I think I
know the answer to the first one.

Speaker 1 (40:21):
No, it's not I bet you thought it was. No.
Actually it's Actually, it's not a bad time at all.
The only time it would be bad is if we
had snow that didn't melt for like two months. But
so it works with it works with sun. A lot
of parts of the country don't get much sun, but
there's enough sun to make it work because there's plenty

(40:44):
of moisture. Okay, So it's it's you know, gets damped
and stays damped pretty much all day. Anymore we get
peaks of sun, it's above freezing. If we do have
a snow, it might cover it up for a week
or two, but it'll eventually melts. That's not a problem.

Speaker 11 (41:06):
And here's the real question. Okay, I have a a
pressure treated deck. It's about ten feet off the patio.
A couple of months ago, I used the figh wood
cleaner and stain got it all stained good. I did

(41:26):
not do the underneath. Okay, I was being lazy. I
guess will that work on the underside of a.

Speaker 1 (41:32):
Deck, Well, you won't have snow and rain or you
won't have rain and sun, right, so it's it's got
to have that. So if you were going to do
that in the springtime, okay, so I'm gonna change my
mind a little bit too. You don't have rain, but
you got a hose so you could wet that underneath

(41:53):
side down. And we've got enough enough sunlight. We don't
have direct sunlight, but we got enough sunlight or UV
rays which is going to to you know, help it
move along. So so that's how I would answer that.
I mean, there's there's other things you can use that

(42:13):
are easy too. Since we got a little you know,
we do have kind of a shaded area. And like
if you told me you had a screened in porch
with a roof on it and you want to use
your do your floor, I'd probably tell you not to.
And so what's the difference between that and an underside
of a deck? You might say none. So I'm kind

(42:35):
of leading you in another way, maybe to a product
like thirty second Cleaner or oxygenated bleach for that underside.
It requires a little bit of work, not much, but
a little bit of work. It'll be inside.

Speaker 11 (42:53):
I should have used DeFi I just like I said.
I guess I was just lays because it did a
real good job.

Speaker 3 (42:58):
On the top.

Speaker 1 (42:59):
Yeah, that's an ox a genated bleach to clean it.
So you could use the same thing. So underneath a deck,
you're probably gonna be a little limited anytime of the year,
but more so in the winter time.

Speaker 11 (43:14):
It's sitting on a concrete patio. And I was just
going to hit it while I did the patio.

Speaker 1 (43:18):
So well, you could be my field reporter if you want.

Speaker 11 (43:24):
Okay, I'll watch another if it's not too late.

Speaker 4 (43:28):
In a year.

Speaker 1 (43:29):
Yeah, no, it's not too late in the year. In fact,
it's quite honestly, it's better than do it in the
middle of July because there's minimal evaporation.

Speaker 11 (43:37):
Right, Okay, thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (43:39):
All right, look forward to your call. Thank you, take care.
All right. Music's playing. That means we have one more
hour to go, so if you'd like to jump on board,
we'll be answering questions for another hour. It is eight
