and then we'll get to the folks on hold. It's
eight hundred eight two three eight two five five, and
let's go with Larry. Larry. Welcome, Hey Garry, how you
(01:32):
doing doing good? Thank you?
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Yeah, I got a scenario for you.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
Two years ago tree roots and the line blocked up
the plumbing and stuff got it cut out. Never really
checked out what kind of cleaners you can put down
the day I found out that there's a filming type cleaner,
some art filming, right.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
What's your take on the Well.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
They're good there. You know, there's a couple different ones
out there. Aerobic is a is a good brand if
you're looking for high quality ones. They make the root
killer and then they make the foaming root killer. The
root killer the first one, the non foaming is called
it's copper sulfate, which burns back roots. I mean, that's
what copper sulfate does. And it's a granular I think
(02:23):
it's a three pound jug and I think you use
half of it and you apply that and again I
think it was every three months or every six months.
I have to read the instructions. It's been a while,
and uh, put it in the toilet, flush it down,
and it does a good job. I mean, it's copper sulfate,
so it certainly burns roots back. The foaming I like
(02:45):
because because it foams, so it does the entire you know,
circumference of that pipe. So that's yeah, yeah, So it's
follow the directions because you don't want to go and
I think it gives you time to put it in
and flush it. Otherwise it starts foaming right away, so
you want to get that down the right.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
The other one was called green and gobbler.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yeah, I've heard of that one. I haven't used it,
but I I I see it in a lot of places.
I'm just assuming it works very well also, I don't
you know, and usually once the uh you know, the
mouse trap is built, everybody kind of has their their
take on it, right, but but they do a good job,
and it's it is a maintenance product. I mean for
(03:31):
people listening, go, I'll just get some of that and
I'll just get rid of all those roots right now.
This is more of a maintenance product. If you have
it cleaned out, it'll do some but you know, somebody's
got to really clogged pipe with tree roots. Don't look
at that as your quick answer, right.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Well, like I said, it was cut out two years ago,
which I found out. I'm just helping somebody out.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
But yeah, yeah, yeah, no, it's great. I mean we
live in an area and where you're at, you know,
there's a lot of clay and you get wet periods
and dry periods, and that clay moves in those pipes.
Is it? Is it a tile pipe? Is that what
it is? To? You know?
Speaker 3 (04:14):
I think it might be a cast, really cast in
the base, but I don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Yeah, it could be there or tiles really tough in
clay soil. And you know, you get a little drought
and that stuff starts moving and even where the cemented
joints are, it just cracks and eventually a route or
two gets in and you know, yeah, the party begins.
So you always got to be you know, burning them
back or getting them snaked and eventually end up lining
(04:44):
them exactly.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
Okay, all right, that's all I wanted to know.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Very good too. All right, then let's go to Vicky. Vicky, welcome.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
Hey Gary. I have two questions. First of all, it's
about porcelain bathtub that's been coated years back, and it's terrible.
It's peeling off, and I want to know if there's
a service out there that can remove the old coating
and then recoat it with something that'll last. Years ago,
(05:22):
I had a house that was built in the eighteen hundreds.
I had it professionally done it did great, never peel.
Then I bought another house that was built in the seventies,
had it coated by somebody else. It hasn't lasted. It's
awful and I don't want to rip my entire bathtub
and redo that. Second question is gutter guards. And in
(05:48):
Kentucky we had a lot of hell damage, a lot
of insurance work done on the houses and roof gutters,
and I think the gutter guards are nothing, but they're
helping to catch my pine needles and leaves. Now I
want to know the appropriate way that gutter guards should
go in the gutters. Is it angled up? Should leave?
(06:12):
And stuff just be sitting in there. It seems like
it's just catching them. So those are my two big questions.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
All right, Well, let's tackle the bathtub first. There is
a I've dealt with several people over the years that
finish bathtubs, and the whole secret and you've heard me
say this about a billion times is the preparation and
the primer. That's the key. There is a national franchise,
(06:41):
it's called Miracle Method. That's who I would recommend. I've
had them do two of my tubs and a countertop
in the upstairs bathrooms and they do a great job.
They have a priority or they own the rights to
(07:02):
this one primer and it does a really great job.
They do college dorms, they do hotels, and they can
do your bathroom. So it's called Miracle Method, VICKI, And
it's a franchise. I'm sure you got one in Louisville.
I know there's one in Cincinnati. I know there's one
in Cleveland, in Dayton, So check out Miracle Method. They'll
(07:23):
sand that down and gosh, you'll get all you'll get.
You get all kinds of choices of colors and everything else.
They do a really really good job. I had mine done.
I'm gonna guess it's been seven years ago. Its it
services me quite well.
Speaker 4 (07:39):
Awesome, thanks, all right.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
So gutter guards, first, let me say this, there's no
perfect gutter guard, okay, and I mean that some of
them you're nailed through your roof. Some of them are
foam blocks that are inside the gutter. Some are brushers.
You hear me talk about gutter brush. They sponsor the
(08:02):
show and all of those if you have, you know,
three big pine trees with lots of needles in this
time of year, they're going to be laying on top
of the the gutter helmet type thing. They're gonna be
(08:24):
tangled in the bristles at the top of the brush,
which the wind may blow off both of those the
foam down in the gutter. I think that's the luckiest
one because I think they just start their decaying process
right on top of that. I mean, it'll keep the
gutters free flowing for a while. But you know, so,
(08:49):
so it depends, Okay, I guess that's where I'm getting to.
It depends. I have gutter brush in my gutters. There's
a section of the house about every other year. I
got to pull those things out with a hoe is,
I got to hose them off, and I slide them
right back in. They never really clogged the gutter up.
And I'm gonna guess that's very true with the gutter
(09:11):
helmets also. Maybe depending on the slope and the type,
there's all these different there's leaf fielder, there's gutter helmet.
Everybody's got a different name, in a different style and
a different way to anchor it. But you know, certainly
when there's a heavy debris fall there there could be
a collection point. Depending on how the slope is and
(09:34):
everything else that you know, you might have to get
a hose out there and squirt the surface of that off.
I don't know. So it really comes down to you know,
how it's going to work, how much you want to spend,
and you know, you know, I mean, you can spend
four thousand dollars on you know, gutter guards, absolutely, but
(09:59):
it was you can.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Spend it was. It was a lot of money. And
I just think they're in at the wrong angle.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
That's my back could be, that could be. I mean,
I used I didn't have them, but a friend of
mine had gutter helmet and he had no problems. I'm serious.
That's why. That's why I said, there's It really depends
on what you're surrounded by. I think he had some trees,
but there were always big leaves on the trees that
(10:27):
he had. They weren't like little tiny leaves from a
locust tree or something along those lines. But his did
really well. But if you're do you have some gutter
guards up there now and they're a problem.
Speaker 4 (10:42):
Yeah, Because see I had everything replaced when we had hailstorms,
the roof, I mean everything, and I had some minard
that I had installed previously that had the screen and
you pop them in and they seem to do better.
Now this is like a four thousand, almost five thousand
(11:03):
on my little house. Yeah, and I just feel like
it's just catching them.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Have you called them to see if they're properly installed?
Speaker 4 (11:15):
Well, of course it's a contractor. He had somebody else
to do it. So I just wanted to know, technically,
is there an angle? What is the correct way?
Speaker 1 (11:27):
I don't know if I know. Yeah, I mean, obviously,
you know, the whole premise on that is they would
not get hung up, they would not become a collection point.
There should be some slope that the wind and the
rain when it comes would just clean that area off. Now,
(11:48):
if they're tilted up a little bit and you can't
get the you know, canoe going over the waterfalls. That's
how I tried to describe how the gut or helmets work.
You get a two inch rain and that water's rushing
down on the roof and whatever left to collect it
goes over and doesn't get sucked back into the gutter,
(12:08):
so it kind of rinses it or the wind blows it.
But you know, if it's tilted back a little bit,
and then there's you know, like I don't have trouble
with my gutters. I have a problem. I have two
steep roofs and I have a metal saddle in there,
and just the way the house is it, it's protected
from the from the wind and stuff. And you know,
(12:29):
I have to get a blower and blown blow that
junk away off that saddle, and that has nothing even
to do with the gutters or the gutter guards. So
I would assume that those things are they're they're not
properly tilted or or maybe installed. That's why I asked
(12:49):
you if you'd called them to see if you can
check that for you.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
Yeah, I'll do that because I have a believe or not.
I have a five here warranty the roof as far
as their workmanship and the gutters. But you know, I
just you know, after storm and you have multiple areas damaged,
and you hire somebody if you don't understand how things
(13:17):
should be done right, and you can get a bad job.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
And then well a lot of people even ask me,
you know, like well, what what kind of shingle should
I use? And I do tell them all the time,
Vicky is find yourself the best roofer. You can find
one with the you know, great accolades from your friends
and different things. Because he's going to be using a
shingle you want because his reputation is going to be
(13:41):
based on that shingle, and same with the gutter guards
and the and the roofing all kind of tied together.
So I'd give him a call, give him a chance,
and let him take a look at him. S If
there's anything that can be done, all right, appreciate The
call lines are open. You can grab a line and

means homeowners are preparing their homes for winter, especially they're plumbing.
Hi this scary salvent for Roto Router plumbing and water cleanup.
I want you to go outside, unscrew your garden hose
(16:10):
and check those outdoor faucets for drips. Listen, if they're
leaking now, they could freeze and burst this winter, causing
expensive water damage and plumbing repairs. The time to fix
dripping hose bibs is right now. Call Roto Ruter at

(16:51):
All right, back here we go at home with Gary
Sullivan taking your calls and talking a little bit about
your home projects and as well, like I said, I
should look up the exact amount of snow cover for
the United States Continental United States. I think it's like
forty eight percent right now. Ours is melted a little
(17:13):
bit where I'm at, But that's a lot of snow,
and that means a lot of cold weather has arrived,
and so have you noticed always kind of I've noticed.
Have you noticed any areas of your home that are
maybe a little a little more draft than you would prefer?
(17:36):
In other words, have you found yes, you have? Okay, yeah,
I did too. And I know I've preached a lot
in the fall about one of the simplest ways if
you feel a draft near a window is to make
sure the window is locked. I know that sounds so simple,
(17:58):
and I would swore on a stack of bibles all
the windows were locked. But there was one and it
wasn't far from where I reside that was not locked.
It wasn't open, It just wasn't. It was closed. It
was snug, but it wasn't locked. And when you lock
a window, whether it's an old steel casement window or
(18:19):
a beautiful vinyl double hung window or a nice wood
double hung window, if it's not locked, it's not pulled
together tightly and pushed up against the weather stripping. And
so one of the easiest ways if you're feeling a draft,
make sure the window's locked, and pull the shade down
(18:42):
and kind of create a little buffer. That'll help. I've
also talked and maybe this is something you're interested in,
and Danny, this is something I know anybody, not just
I mean, anybody can do this. And this is a
quick You're not mister a handyman or anything, but I'm
(19:04):
just saying this is this is an easy pro project.
If you have on window that's an older window and
it's drafty, I've talked about using a calking where you
can actually just calk the window close. And I was
in the hardware store the other day and you know
they had it. It's it's just called peel away and
just calk a clothes, put some plastic over. You've eliminated
(19:26):
the draft. All right. Coming up next, we're going to
talk with our friends from Awesome and Biofilm how to
get rid of that. You're at home with Gary Sullivan.

All right, back at it we go at home with
Gary Sullivan. And you've probably had this problem and we've
talked a lot about in the last couple of weeks,
and that is drains that just don't function like they should.
In other words, the stoppers up. We got the water
on and it's filling up the sink bowl. That's a problem.
(22:50):
How about that? I don't know. Maybe you got one
of those big garden tubs. You don't use it anymore
because every time you useally sees black flakes of stuff
floating around in the water, and you, eh, well, we're
gonna work on cleaning those issues up for you. Joining
me is Jim Parker. He is with Awesome and Jim.
Welcome again that home with Gary Salvin. How you doing?
Speaker 2 (23:13):
Good morning, Gary. I'm doing well. How are you doing?
Speaker 1 (23:15):
Doing fine? Doing fine? Let's start with the old bathtub?
Is that a common that's common? And I mean if
you have an old it doesn't even have to be
really old, just a jetted tub and you use it
all the time, or you use it every now and
then and then you start seeing black gunk or you
start having an odor in it. Is that very very common?
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Yeah, exremely common.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
Yeah, water that's just in the system. Is that what
that is?
Speaker 2 (23:43):
Yeah? Exactly. So think about it this way. Let's let's
talk about when you put that jet and tub in
your home, whether it's whether it's one month ago or
fifteen years ago, you're gonna use it right away because
you want to try it out. Yeah, you use it.
You turn those jets on on, feels good on your body,
and then you get out drain it. The problem is
(24:06):
that that water that was just all over your body.
We drain most of it out the drain, but a
lot of it stays within the lines of the jetted tub.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
Now you know where we're going. Stuff is a breeding
ground for bacteria. Yeah, and so what happens is over
the course of time, which you know, when I say time,
that could be just as much as a few days,
it starts building up and it builds up to what
we call biofilm. Biofilm. Think of biofilm as a colony
(24:43):
of bad guys bacteria, mold, and fungus. They're all congealed
together in a glue like substance and it just affects everything.
That's where people start getting that smell, they start seeing
those flakes coming out. Oftentimes they come out as black flakes.
And then you know it's not only is it disgusting,
(25:03):
is it also has the potential to be dangerous. So
think about it this way. Let's say you're I've got
you're a construction worker, you work in the trades, or
it doesn't even matter. You work in a job where
well you really want that relaxation in a jetted tub
because your body hurts after a long day at work,
But you get cuts and scratches on your body throughout
(25:25):
the day. Well, now you get into that jetted tub
that hasn't been cleaned and you have bits and pieces
of bacteria coming out of those jets that settles into
a cut on your body. Well, now you have the
potential to develop staff infections and all kinds of nasty
things that you don't really want. So our goal is
to clean that jetted tubs.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
Right, And even when I'm taking a tub, or even
a hot tub for that matter, you get the steam
coming off, it's nice and warm. You breathing that too,
you are.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
In fact, it's funny you mentioned that that's a very
common problem. In fact, just last night I read a
new story about a gym in central Florida fourteen cases
of Legionella legion AI's disease, which is the Legionella bacteria
that is, and they're sourcing that back to their aquatic center,
whether their pool and their hot tub center. And when
(26:15):
you sit in your bathtub, or you or you or
your hot tub. Oftentimes you relax and your nose is
right above the top of the water, right and you
got the bubbles and they're bouncing up and down. If
you have a Legionella bacteria, you're going to breed that in.
And regardless of what your health condition is, if you
you could be a healthy everything's perfect, Legionella will still
kill you. But if you have a lung condition copd asthma,
(26:38):
now you're in some some dire strait. So our goal,
that awesome is is we want to clean that plumbing
out so you can safely use your jetted bathtub or
your hot tubs.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
And I have people, and I'm sure you have people.
I just put some bleach in here. Yeah, that doesn't do.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
It doesn't work.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
Yeah, because I call it like blackburry jelly's in those
pipes exactly.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
Bleach is great for the actual water itself. So you
can utilize bleach in a lot of different ways, and
that's going to kill what are called free floating planktonics.
Those are the bacteria. Those are the bad guys that
are just floating around in the water. Gonna kill them.
The problem is once it forms into this biofilm matrix,
(27:26):
within the plumbing system. The bleach is just gonna cascade
right over the top of it, and it's gonna continue
to do what it does, but it's not gonna actually
remove the biofilms. And this is where Awesome steps in.
So Awesome works. You know, it works as a surfactant.
So think about it this way. You have you have
our product. The Awesome product goes in there and it
(27:47):
punctures trillions of tiny holes in the outer layer of
this biofilm, so kind of like an epidural layer, punctures
trillions of holes, and then the water pressure from those jets,
whether it's in a hot tub or a jetted bathtub,
it it pushes that biofilm out into the main vessel
of the tub. Now you can wipe it down, and
you gotta. You'll have to do it a few times,
(28:08):
especially at the beginning. Jetted tubs are notoriously dirty. And
the most important thing that I tell customers when they
set out on the adventure of cleaning their jeted tub
is just to have patience. It's gonna it's gonna take
a minute to get all of that biofilm out. Even
with Awesome, which is the strongest product on the market
(28:28):
for its class doing what it does. It still is
gonna take a little bit of time, so have patience.
But it is important to clean these out, just just
for safety and sanitation.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
But you'll see it two. I mean you'll see the results.
I mean when you use the awesome and we'll talk
about how to use that. When you use that, it
just starts breaking this up and it starts going into
the water and you're flushing it down the drain and
I mean, you'll go, holy cow, I didn't know that
was in my tub.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
It's it's a it's a very visceral experience. Therey you'll
you'll visually see this momentarily. You have to put the
acome in there, and it's it's crazy.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
Yeah, yeah, you know. One of the big trends. I'm
sure you're feeling that it awesome. One of the big
is these cold plunge tubs. A buddy just got one,
and that doesn't turn me on at all. It's good
for your body, I get it. But those are since
it's cold water, are they? I mean, do they have
(29:31):
biofilm issues? Also?
Speaker 2 (29:34):
They do? Ironically, Now, remember cold plunge tubs we think of,
we think we see the we see the advertisements on
TV or on the internet, and we see these, you know,
tubs that are at forty degrees. There's some tubs out there,
even the cold plunge tubs that go all the way
up to one hundred degrees, so people can use them
as a warm tub as well. Okay, either way, Yeah,
(29:55):
even with the cold water, though, you're putting your body
our bodies. Regardless of how many times a day we shower,
we obviously most of us want to keep ourselves clean.
Our bodies just naturally produce oils and skin cells are
(30:16):
falling off every second of every day. So even after
you're done showering, you've still got stuff coming off your body.
And cold plunge tubs are no different than jetted bathtubs
and such that you've got a small body of water
with a human being in it, and it creates this soup. Now,
cold plunge tubs are a little different because you can
most people use a sanitizer with them, which is great.
(30:38):
The problem with a cold plunge tub is that oftentimes
they get kind of forgotten about at times, and so
all bacteria, bacteria just needs to grab a foothold and
once it does, it's inescapable. You cannot stop the process now.
So yeah, we use we use the ARE Liquid Awesome.
(31:00):
Saw that in a gallon jug and a sixteen ounce bottle.
Are Liquid Awesome is the product that we generally recommend
for our jented bath tubs and our cold plunged tubs,
just so that way the customers don't need to use
hot water. So our gels require warmer water to dissolve.
Where the liquids. You can just put that right into
the cold water and it starts doing this job.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
Excellent, excellent. You know, as I was thinking, you know,
there's other things. I know, I get calls a lot
about wash machines. I don't know if we see black flex,
I can say I didn't until I used the product Awesome.
But I had an odor in it that I couldn't
get rid of. I wiped the seals down. I did,
(31:42):
you know, all the things I was supposed to do.
And that's really how you and I got connected. I
found your product and it was it was a little
little jar and it was a gel and it's like
I don't know how many teaspoons it has in but
not many. And it didn't require but I don't know
half a teaspoon corvit eastpoon, but holy cow, when I
use that, the amount of gunk that came out into
(32:05):
the drama that washer was significant.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
Yeah, it is, And you're right. It does come in
a very small two ounce jar. There are twelve teaspoons
and it so one little jar of that product will
if you use it solely for your washing machine, that'll
last you two years. You're only using a half a
tea spoon at a time. But you're right. The most
common reason we have customers that come to us is, Jim,
I cannot stop my washing machine from smelling. I've gone,
(32:34):
I've gone to other stores and purchased some of the
smelly good products that make it smell good for three
or four days, but it eventually comes back. Yeah, it
eventually comes back. So what again. Austome works the same
way it works as a surfactant. You put that into
your into the basin of your of your washing machine,
turn it on, let it do a full cycle, and
it goes in there and pulls out all that mold, fungus,
(32:54):
bacteria that's harboring within the internals of your washing machine,
and then it flushes itself out now. Now, granted, you're
not gonna have a washing machine that smells like lavender
or a field designers. You're just gonna have a washing Yeah,
you're just gonna have a machine that smells clean, and
it's actually gonna be more efficient for your machine to
do its job.
Speaker 1 (33:14):
Folks, I know, I get your emails. I can't find it.

you know, spas and hot tubs and cold plunge tubs
and washing machines and stuff, drains are seemingly having this
same issue. I don't know whether it's the sticky products
(33:57):
we use in a bathroom, but I've been really talking
a lot about maintaining dreams. Jim Parker, he's my guess,
he's with awesome. We'll take that break and then we'll
come back and finish our conversation as we continue. You're

(36:58):
All right, back here we go, Jim Parker, he is
my guess, he is with awesome and uh that's a
stuff that always uh tears up and kills and removes biofilm,
hot tubs, jetted tubs, washers, dishwashers. But let's talk drains, Jim,
because the last time we chatted about three months ago.
(37:19):
At the end, I said, well, what about drains? I
got a vanity drain that after every three months or so,
it just starts running a little slow. And there's different
enzyme cleaners out there, but in three months it runs
a little slow. I've got another drain that does the same.
And I said, hey, does it awesome working drains doing?
(37:41):
You go yeah? And I'm thinking, well, the world needs
to hear about this, and I think they need to
hear about it again. How can I use the awesome
Which awesome product would I use? And how do I
maintain the drains in my home?
Speaker 2 (37:56):
That is a phenomenal question. And yes, awesome works incredibly
well in drains. Uh, it'll work better in certain drains
than others. So for example, your vanity drains, your kitchen,
sink drain, your garbage disposal, all of those. It works
well in a shower grain, but you end up having
to use a lot of it just because of the
(38:16):
larger pipe that's in the in the shower grain. But
think of your regular kitchen saying, bathrooms, whatnot, what have
you that have the you know, the smaller PBC piping
that goes down and around. Our recommendation is here's how
we do it, and then I'll explain why we do
it this way. So I recommend customers to get our
gallon jug of our liquid.
Speaker 1 (38:37):
I was, we're going to go there, Okay.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
The most economically, Yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (38:43):
Think people can relate to that for that particular project better.
Speaker 3 (38:47):
Right.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
And and yes, is the sticker price when you buy
it a little bit more expensive than say if you
bought our four ounce tube of gel. Absolutely, you're going
to spend an extra twenty dollars on that gallon. But
we look at from a cost per use basis. You've
got one hundred and twenty eight ounces a gallon that
you're only going to use four ounces in per a drain,
so you've got a lot of uses in that gallon jug.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
Okay, So what you're.
Speaker 2 (39:11):
Gonna do is you'd take four ounces of the awesome liquid,
mix that with three gallons of water and it can
be cold or hot. Because remember we're using the liquid products,
we don't have to worry about the gel dissolving. You
simply put four ounces mix that with three gallons of
water in a five gallon pail. That is an incredibly
strong mixture. Then we just simply pour that down those drains.
(39:35):
You know, I like to tell customers when I talk
to them on the phone, you know, do your ABCS count,
you know, go start ABCDE and by the time you
get to Z. You want that you want that five
gallon pail with the three gallons of water in it
to be completely down the drain. So it doesn't need
to be super fast, but you don't want to go
super slow either, Right, Let that sit for about ten
(39:59):
or fifteen minutes and drain, and then turn your cold
water on and let it rinse for a couple minutes,
and that's going to eat through those layers of bacteria, mold,
and fungus that are in the think about it. You
know if you look underneath your sink, you always see
that elbow. You know that that U shape underneath your sinks.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
Little yeah, little then goes down, Then the wall tube
goes out and then ties into the way.
Speaker 2 (40:23):
Correct. And when you when you drain your water, when
you turn the water off from your sink, where do
you think that water sits right? Not?
Speaker 1 (40:31):
Jay Ben.
Speaker 2 (40:33):
And hence the reason we now we start getting that
bacteria build up, we start getting those odors, We start
getting the drain not flowing, not not going nearly as well.
So we want that awesome to percolate through that that bend,
let it sit there, and then letting that water rinse
in there for a couple of minutes after we're done
kind of pushes all of that out. So that creates
(40:54):
that little bit of back pressure to put put a
little bit of pressure on when where the austin has
been working and it pulls it out. Now, so awesome
is not going to if you shove, if you brush
your dog and you've got three pounds of hair and
you put that down your drain, the awesome isn't going
to do anything for the dog here, but it will
work on all organic bacteria, mold, fungus type collectors in
(41:18):
your drains. And it's a great, great thing. Now with
the garbage disposal, it is phenomenal if you have the
garbage disposal. Those things smell all the time, especially if
you use it a lot. So when you're using it,
do the same thing. Four ounces of the liquid, three
gallons of water. Pour that down as your disposal is running.
So you want to have that disposal running while you're
(41:40):
pouring it down. Once the bucket's done, turn off the disposal,
let it sit for a few minutes, and then run
a cold water rinse with the disposal on again. You're
going to have a very clean garbage disposal until you know,
just like everything else though, things are going to gunk
up again over the course of time. So this is
why you get the gallon jug so you can just
pull it out of the closet and do it again.
Speaker 1 (42:00):
Right. Wow, it's great that that that's interesting. That's interesting.
I'm going to have to try that because I've used
different things. But there's you know, a little simple I know,
hair about the only way you can really get rid
of that is mechanically snake it little zip it strip
(42:21):
where you tangle the hair around the little barbs and
pull it out and I and I use that, but
it amazes me where this. You know, if I turn
both faucets on full board, I can fill up this
sinking and the water is just kind of sitting there.
It's weeping down the pipes, that's it. And I'll get
(42:41):
the snack, yeah, and I'll be pushing that thing in
there and I'll get one little flake or two, but
then it starts straining, and I'm going like that could
not have been holding that water up, but it was.
And so you know, there's more gunk in there, and
I just loosened something probably to create a little drain way.
(43:03):
And you're your description of using that four ounces and
the three gallons of water and just pouring it down there,
not like there's a flood, but a good you know,
just a nice good even poor and just let it
bore its way through is exactly what it needs.
Speaker 2 (43:21):
And just think of, like, you know, the arteries in
your body when you know, uh, you know that. And
I'm not a I'm not a medical doctor, but you know,
when you've got clogged arteries. You know what do they do?
They go in there with the cafeter of the balloon
and they you know, basically kind of to a certain extent,
scrape it or push it.
Speaker 5 (43:40):
Make the artery bigger, right right right, we're doing.
Speaker 2 (43:42):
The same We're doing the same thing.
Speaker 1 (43:44):
Just what often? All right, folks, it's a h H
