Speaker 1 (00:31):
Well, the weekends upon us. Welcome aboard. You are at
home with Gary Salvin, taking through another weekend, getting a
few things done around the home and hopefully got some
great weather to get out there and tackle some of
those projects. My list is long. I don't know about yours,
but there's always something to do around the home, that's
for sure. And in fact, yesterday we had a call.

(00:54):
It was interesting and it was a fellow that had
a shower and he had a shower pan. I know
it used to be in like I think he said,
a kid's bathroom or something, and now it's used more
by adults. And he was walking across the shower pan.
You feel a little given stuff. And we were talking
about how to you know, what can we inject in
there to make that more stable, more solid, And I

(01:20):
was suggesting you might look at a expandable foam, but
I wasn't really sure whether it could support or how
much it could support, and whether it would break down.
Just didn't know. But I have seen many, many times
when there's big garden tubs when they first came out.

(01:43):
I remember walking through a home that was having one
installed and I saw this tub filled with water and
I said, what, you know, it was a model home.
Actually it wasn't a model home yet, it was going
to be a model home. It was under construction. So
what's going on on hearing? Well, you know when we
set these tubs, we put this foam underneath it to

(02:05):
give it some structure, and if we don't put water
in it, it'll push the tub to the ceiling. I went, oh, okay,
And I got to think and wonder if that injection
in that shower underneath that shower pain would would work.
And as I was just making conjectures thinking it probably would,
but wasn't really sure, somebody wrote me last night. In fact,

(02:28):
it said, hey, Gary, I did the exact thing. I
shot spray foam underneath my darrow and long shower that
was fiberglass. I'm a big guy, I'm like three hundred
and fifty pounds and it was moving and I was afraid,
you know, eventually it was going to crack, and it
probably would have. But the spray from worked fantastic. Been

(02:49):
five years ago since I did that. Just got a
little longer rigid tube, shot it in there. It expands
its firm it works great. It's not breaking down. I
hope that helps. So we got our affirmation on that that, Yeah,
that's good. That's gonna work for him anyway. That's what
the show's all about. You give us a call, we'll

(03:09):
talk to you about your home project, maintenance, repair, and
if I don't have the answer, somebody will. Our phone
number is eight hundred eight two three eight two five five,
so it's eight hundred eighty two three eight two fivey five.
Go ahead and grab a line. Danny is here. He
is ready to take your calls. And yesterday was also

(03:31):
concrete Day. We had a lot of conversations about concrete,
about spawling, about cracks, all of which concrete does. In fact,
I love the old saying on concrete concrete is guaranteed
to crack, and very true. But we're starting to see,

(03:52):
at least by the calls yesterday, starting to see some
winter damage that showing up in terms of spawling. That's
the potmark in concrete, or you call it concrete acne
if you want. Usually found on garage floors, on aprons,
of driveways, on sidewalks, and it can be caused by
a couple of things. The way it was cured and

(04:14):
trialed and all that, and the type of concrete. But
mainly I think you're gonna see it because we use
especially in northern climates when you have ice and snow,
and plenty of us did that you use rock salt
or as we had yesterday. Several people didn't know they
were using rock salt. They thought they were using a

(04:35):
calcium chloride, a ice melting agent. But if you start
reading the bags of what the contents are, you'll see
that in some brands they're adding rock salt to it,
and as that melts of snowy ice, it creates a
salty brain solution which is corrosive to concrete. Hence we

(04:58):
get pitting and there's nothing more. I think disturbing. Then
just having a new home with a new driveway and
you start having pitting on the garage floor, you start
having it along the roadway. Of course, sealing that concrete
can be very advantageous in eliminating that pitting, or if

(05:25):
you would like, if it wasn't sealed after the storms
and after rock salt has been applied to streets, is
it gets above freezing, get a hose out there and
just wash that away or sweep it away, get that
residue off the concrete, So kind of too late for
that now. But if you are experiencing that at your home,

(05:48):
there are resurfacing products, there are patching products, there are ceilings,
all of which could correct a situation that you have.
So happy to talk about that. Or it's also uh,
for sure, I was going to say it's deck party time,
but for many of us, it's deck repair time. Uh,

(06:09):
it's deck ceialing time, it's deck cleaning time. And that
whole genre of products is changing. There's more and more types,
there's more and more directions on using those products. So
we will play the read the directions card, but we'll
also give you some tips to make sure that particular

(06:32):
project of sealing the deck last as long as it
possibly can. So again, give us a call. Again, it's
eight hundred and eight two three eight two five five,
and Clark you lead us off. Welcome.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Good morning from northern Oswego County in New York State.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Good morning, Gary.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
I'm curious and I know you have all of the
expertise for my few questions this morning. I hope I'm
putting down. Oh, I'm one thousand confident you have a
record that's impactable.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
All right, All right.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
I'm uh, I'm putting down uh a sub floor, stripping
a total gut job on down to the floor. Joist Uh,
I want to I want to put down a sub floors. First,
first question, Should I use OSB or plywood?

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Well, you can use either. I mean you can use either.
Uh they're both stable. Just get a good five aces
inch piece. Uh, but either one is acceptable. And you know,
I'd leave that up to you which whichever way you
want to go on that OSB is gonna be a
little less expensive. Some people prefer one over the other.

(07:59):
I OSB is probably used in the industry now more
than anything.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Which one Having used tugue and groove before, which one
is going to be least labor intention as far as
driving the driving and talking into the groove?

Speaker 1 (08:21):
I don't know really which one, if there's much of
a difference. I guess the plywood's a little bit easier,
just a little bit more style. But okay, you know
again I feel confidence saying either one would do the
job for you. What kind of floor are you gonna
put in after that?

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Uh, that's going to be pre finished, the pre finished
tugue and grew hardwood.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Oh nice, nice, that's very nice. That'll be real stable too,
pre finished.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
I shouldn't probably mention product, but Bruce, is that okay.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Oh yeah, that's a good one that's been around for years.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Yeah. Those are very stable products too, and you kind
of get the benefits of a real wood versus you know,
some of the other products that are out there, and
there's a bunch of them now, I mean there's a
bunch of them, but that engineered wood is just I
think it's an awesome product, very stable and you know,

(09:24):
humidity in homes doesn't affect it like you know, the
regular solid wood. But you'll be good on that for sure, Clark.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
And the crown is there for a reason, Gary, the crown,
Oh yeah, well, what's the purpose of it?

Speaker 1 (09:43):
And also make sure you get it acclimated even though
it is and engineered. Would if in other words, reading
the instructions it will tell you about acclamaging in the
house for like forty eight hours, I think that would
be real helpful. Also for you, all wood just has
a crown, and all the crowns should be going the

(10:03):
same way.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Okay, okay, very yeah. I mean you're you've got a PhD.
And buildology here you uh and uh. And final questions Uh.
Adhesive for gluing down the either the LSB or the plywood,
and which fasteners to use?

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Well, there are fasteners I would prefer to screw it in.
If you're not going to screw it in, make sure
you use ring shank nails again, follow the spacing and
then just use a you know, a regular construction adhesive
s pattern along where the joists are going to be. Uh.
Usually when we run problems with sub floors uh, and

(10:46):
you really start looking at it. A lot of the
times it's just because the wrong you know, like a
smooth shank nail was used, which is wrong, or when
they put the glue on they've missed the joys and
you know, so ringshank or screwed in with glue always
called screwed and glued, and your your set. I mean,

(11:08):
it ain't moving for anybody.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
And years ago I used roofing felt as underlayment. But
is orange paper the best now? Resin paper?

Speaker 1 (11:20):
Yeah? And again I can't tell you enough because different
products have different specifications. And if you did ever have problem,
the first thing they're going to do is look and
see if you use their specifications and it will be
on the wood floor of what their recommendations for a
vapor bearrier are and I would stay with those.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Yes, and as we've discussed, I think this is a
no squeak floor.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Right yep.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Gary. I am beyond grateful for your show. I thank
you for the availability of your time, and I am
beyond appreciative.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
I appreciate it very much. Good luck with that floor.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
All right back here we go at home with Carrie
Selvent taking your calls regarding a little home improvement on
this weekend. And our dear friend Harold is calling in. Harold, Welcome,
roll tied Gary.

Speaker 6 (15:07):
How are you this morning?

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Just living the dream? Brother?

Speaker 6 (15:12):
Just just got to ship my in from Raindy Sriber yesterday.
Have got hers?

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Oh did you good for you? Yeah? Good stuff?

Speaker 6 (15:19):
Jump jumped on your thirty percent off sale last weekend
when you had him home and had a couple of
emails with have a couple of emails with Raindy. I
think I'm trying to convert him to Alabama fans.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
I know you try.

Speaker 6 (15:38):
I'm going to convert everybody. My next one's you, Ron
Wilson and Buggy Joe. That's my next streme game.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
Well, two doors down for me. Somebody's got you know,
his graduation time, and two doors down for me. There's
a flag that says out It says Bama. Here I come.

Speaker 6 (15:55):
Okay, see we got we've got a winner. We got
a winter coming from Ohio.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
There you go.

Speaker 6 (16:01):
You need to get down there and give that young
man one hundred bucks.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
I'll be sure to do that, Okay.

Speaker 6 (16:08):
Lake House got a asphalt driveway parking live Actually the
driveway it's probably fifteen years old, and it's in decent shade.
It's not I mean, I've got a few cracks up
for a quarter of an inch, but I mean I've
got no separation, it's not starting to disintegrate.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
Good.

Speaker 6 (16:30):
Can I tell me how to clean that off and
then want to put on there?

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Yeah? So you know, the cleaning would be just like
we clean anything outdoors. Really, you know, an oxygenated bleach
cleaner you could use dawn and you know down the
liquid soap and water. You don't really need to pressure
washing or anything. I'd use the oxygen at bleach, mix
it up port on, let's sit maybe ten minutes, reapply,

(16:58):
take a street broom or a pressure washer on low
pressure in other words, a forty degree nozzle and you know,
just using it as a rinsing agent, or you could
just use a garden pose quite honestly, that'll clean it up.
And then there's a lot of different cracked sealers that
are out on the market. The one I use called

(17:20):
crack Seal for concrete driveways, which is a gray latex
crack seler, or they make one in black also for asphalt.
You could use those up to you know, probably a
quarter of an inch. If it's bigger than that, there's
a mastic that they would use that you could just
put in with a putty knife. But that crack seal

(17:42):
in black will probably do just to find job for
you if they're under a quarter of an inch. And
then you know, the sealers on this stuff, Harold, they've
really changed, you know, when we got away from the
cold tar. They use a lot of these acrylic residence
sealers now that are almost resist than to UV sunlight,

(18:02):
which means they stay blacker longer. A lot of times
they think we used to seal our asphalt driveways just
to get that good black look. When you go looking
for him, you're gonna find seilers, and this is the
way they're rated. Really. There'll be a two year seiler,
a five year sealer, a seven year sealer, and then
a ten year sealer. Ten year sealer's got an aggregat

(18:26):
in it, very very thin. It's you don't have to
mix it. You just turn it upside down, you pour
it on, spread it around with the squeegee, and then
use the brush to give it some texture. And it's
a it's two thin coats on that driveway and you
can do it, you know, right away. I mean there's

(18:46):
you can work on, you know, maybe four feet and
then just go give it another coat of it. Very
easy to u It's very easy to spread. It's a
ten year sealer. So that's one I really like to recommend.
Its rate coding. You walk on it within probably four hours.

Speaker 6 (19:04):
Okay, Well, I'm sixty seven years.

Speaker 4 (19:06):
Old today, so happy ten here.

Speaker 6 (19:10):
Well, thank you my friend. The ten year. I always
tell my kids, well, if I bought. If I bought
the five year, it's going to be at about the
ten year, it's gonna be at what they're going to
get the house. Good talking to.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
All right, back at it we go at home with
Garry Sullivan, Danny, I can hear you. I'm sorry, and
I just want to let you know I may have
misspoke on that Drivemax product. By the way, that was
the name of the Drivemax. That's the name of that
asphalt seiler. I said apply too thin coats, which is true,

(23:05):
but I think I might have said at the same time.
And I just looked that up because I was thinking
I might have said the wrong thing, and I did.
It's two thin coats allowing the first coat to drive,
so you would do the driveway, wait two hours, come
back and put your second thin coat on. But those
are that is also yourthane enhanced. You always hear me

(23:27):
talking about yourthane, great flexibility, a great tolerance of UV rays,
great bonding. So it is a it's a wonderful product.
But they make different grades, so have at it, right,
I mean, that's okay, that's that's why they make different grades.

(23:49):
Not everything's for everybody, all right, Talking about just getting
a couple of things done around a home. One of
the things also we talk a lot about is all
spaces that get wet, basements that leak, and you know,
I'm always talking about the gutters clean and free flowing.
And by the way, that gutter brush has got one

(24:09):
more day on the sail thirty percent off gutterbrush dot
com protect gutters from clogging. Keep that in mind. Other
things I want you to just take a look at
if you have a sump pump in a cross space
or basement, check where that is discharged.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (24:28):
Some are a lot, quite honestly, are discharged right by
the foundation, which never made sense to me. It can
be discharged by the foundation, but then it should be
going underground and taking that water away from the foundation.
Should not just be sprayed right on the foundation or
you're just creating a cycle. Okay, So check that if

(24:52):
it is discharged into a pipe. Make sure that dad
pipe is lined up with the discharge pipe. I think
I mentioned not long ago I in my walk around
the house, I noticed that about a quarter of the
pipe was over the underground pipe. The other you know,

(25:13):
three quarters of the pipe. It was shooting the water
right on the foundation. Bad deal. So had to adjust,
had to realign it. It wasn't a big deal. Cut
the PVC pipe. Then we got that fixed. But make
sure that that water's being moved around from the foundation.
Second of all, burrowing animals, gophers, chipmunks around foundations, under sidewalks, stoops.

(25:47):
When they're burrowing down, they're creating a hole, and they're
also creating a passage for water usually that is right
along the founder, and again can be detrimental to your
basement and to a crawl space. So as you're you know,

(26:10):
just checking how things are around the home, just take
a look at that and make sure you are for
sure not creating a path of least resistance for water,
because that's how things leak. I mean, that's how your basement,
that's how your cross space gets wet. And if you're
in an area where you've had a lot of rain

(26:31):
in the last month or so, and you're starting to
get that stagnant, smelly air in your home and you
have a crawl space. The next time there's a heavy rain,
I want you to, you know, get to that crawl
space area with a flashlight and take a look back
into that crawl space. You know, some crawl spaces there's

(26:53):
none even a two foot opening, and we just you know,
it's out of side, it's out of mind. But if
we start developing a little stagnant odor, there's some concern there, molds, mildews,
rotting of wood on the joists or subfloor. If there's
an abundance of water, abundance of water in my book

(27:14):
means if I see ponding, that's an abundance of water,
and it's usually a sign of a high water table.
Not usually a leak in the wall, but could be,
but it's the water table itself. And quite honestly, in
a lot of cases, adding a sump well in there,

(27:34):
in a sump pump and encapsulation of that cross space,
we'll control the water, and we'll control some of the humidity,
and we'll control the mold. So next time you get
a heavy ring, get a flashlight out there. And shine
it back in there and see if you can see

(27:55):
really check the floor. Is there a covering on the floor.
Is there no covering in their ponding water? If there is,
you're gonna have to take some corrective action to really
solve that particular problem. And like I said, whole house encapsulations,
whole cross space encapsulations are really, you know, really starting

(28:16):
to be the thing. So what you're doing is you're
controlling the water from Mother Earth. The cross base is closed,
you're you know, you're checking the walls, but you're really
concerned about the floor. Does the floor look damp? Is
there standing water? We put a real heavy vapor barrier
on that. We don't worry about insulation on the underside

(28:38):
of the subfloor. We're insulating the floor and we're insulating
the walls. We're creating a conditioned space, and of course
when it's conditioned, you want to make sure that it's dry.
Having a vapor barrier that's gonna help. The sump well's
gonna help, the pump's gonna help make sure the discharge
is away, and then you should be in relatively good shape.

(29:00):
Now you can't, you know, you got to look at
what the past sins have caused. And so if you
had standing water and you had no vapor barrier on
the floor, and you know, we got the wood subfloor,
we got the wood joyce, you're gonna have to really
examine that to see if you see mold growth on
that and we're gonna have to eliminate that. Now, there

(29:23):
are companies that can eliminate it. There's things that you
can do to eliminate it. If you've got a house
where you don't have a vapor barrier on that floor,
you don't have let's say you corrected standing water and
you can see the mold on the joist. You can
see the insulations kind of hanging down. There's some work

(29:43):
that needs to be done there. That insulation should be removed.
There are different products. The wet and FORGID has a
mold interior mold killer that can be simply sprayed on.
There's companies actually that have foggers that you could fog
the cross space and kill the mold. And there's companies

(30:07):
that can do that too. But cleaning out that mold,
even though it doesn't have a water source anymore and
it's not really growing, that colony is still there that
mold colony is still there. It's dormant, it's not growing
if we've illuminated and eliminated the water. But it's still there.

(30:28):
That means the spores are still there. That means the
spores can be circulating in the house. Maybe find another
damn spot where it begins to grow. So really, even
though the colony is dormant, killing that colony colony of
mold is really critical. So we just can't ignore it.
We've corrected the problem its food sources again or gaining

(30:52):
material and moisture. We've got that in check. But I
would still highly recommend kill the colony with a product
that can do just that. All right, our phone number
if you'd like to join us, it is eight hundred
eighty two three eight two five five. As we're talking
about mold, I do want to talk about in the

(31:13):
bathroom too, always kind of a critical place, and the attic,
which we'll talk about also, But the calking around the tub,
if you continue to see that even after you've re
become moldy, what could very well be going on there
is there could be moisture getting behind that wall, that
that mold growth is actually emanating, not on the surface

(31:34):
of the calking, but inside that wall in growing through
or around the calking. So if you've been replacing that
cocking every year and a half, that's not normal. A
lot of those products have milicides in them. In fact,
even that DAP one has a microband in it and

(31:55):
they warn't it for five years. But if it's behind
that wall, that mold growth because some grouting is missing,
or a tile is cracked, or the plates where the
hot and the cold water aren't aren't caught tightly, and
moisture is getting behind there. And you got two by
fours and you got wood, and you get the mold growth.
It grows around the calking. If you find yourself recocking

(32:18):
every year and a half, a good chance the problems
behind that wall. And what you can do is you
can cut out that calking and really let that area
dry out the best you can, And that means not
using that tub for a while, right, and then rubbing
the opening between the tub or the shower pan and

(32:42):
the wall with a rubbing alcohol, which is also a
drying agent. It's in other words, even using a ce tip.
Get that as dry as you possibly can observe for
a few days to make sure there is no moisture there,
and then it too can go dormant if you've removed
the water source and then calking that nice and tight.

All right, back in it we go twelve minutes before
the top of the air, taking your calls at eight
hundred eight two three eight two five five, and let's
get to Sharon. Sharon.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
Welcome, Hi Gary, how are you doing fine?

Speaker 1 (36:29):
Thank you.

Speaker 7 (36:31):
Good good, Thanks for taking my call. I'll just have
a quick question. I purchased the house and on the
outside waterspicket, you know, like where you hook up a hose.
I've hooked up two different hoses, and each of the
hoses have like the washer inside, but when I turn
on the water, it's still coming out of that connection.

(36:58):
So like where the hose goes to the fauces, you
know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (37:02):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, sure, So so it's not if you
disconnect the hose and you just turn the washer or
turn the faucet on it, it comes out where it's
supposed to and it's not spraying out. Is that correct?

Speaker 7 (37:14):
Yes, one hundred percent. It's great coming out.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
Like yeah, so have you changed out the washers in
those hoses?

Speaker 7 (37:23):
Yes, on one of them, Yes, I did because I
had some and a junk drawer like in a packet,
and I'm like, well, let me go get those you
see if it's like the washer, But but it wasn't,
so I'm just I mean, I don't know the what
and forget I bought that last week and did selling
my concrete out here, but it redclos water.

Speaker 6 (37:42):
So I thought, okay, I'll just choose the hose.

Speaker 8 (37:44):
And what I did, that's what I discovered it.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
Yeah, you know, I it would be the washer. There's
nothing else it could be in that connection. Okay, so
you might even try to put us you might even
try to put a second washer on top of the
first one. See if you can get it tired enough there,
that would be one thing as long as it's coming

(38:06):
at that connection. It's it's got to be the washer
if it's coming you know. That's why I asked. If
you disconnect the hose and you turn it on as
it come out, So there's the handle and then there's
a little bonnet nut underneath that where the stem goes through.
If it's leaking there there's a packing inside that bonnet
net uh nut that it could be. But you know,

(38:29):
if it's coming out right that connection, it's the washer.

Speaker 7 (38:33):
Okay, okay, Well, I'll go to h Hardware, True Value
whatnot and pick up some more. But I appreciate your
help with that.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
You're quite welcome, Sharon, call anytime. Thank you. All right,
let's go to Bill Bill.

Speaker 8 (38:47):
Welcome, well, thank you, Gary. I love your show, Thank you.
And I happened to miss a segment last week about
grill planing.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
Uh huh.

Speaker 8 (38:59):
And I want to know if there's a way I
can get on your web page and go to a
podcast and see it again.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
Well, we have all the The entire show for each
weekend is in our formats of podcast. I think we
did it in the third hour on Sunday. I can't
be positive. So if you it's not on our blog,
it's on the iHeart app, which is free, okay, and

(39:29):
when you open it up, it'll say radio podcasts, et cetera.
Click podcast and you put in that Home with Gary
Sullivan and it'll have each hour of the show and
you click it on and you listen to that hour.
Now that is I think in the third hour on Sunday,

(39:51):
so you might want to check that out. Do you
have a gas grill?

Speaker 8 (39:56):
Yeah, yeah, it's a web Weber gas.

Speaker 1 (39:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (40:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
Well, you know, we covered a couple basic things. I'd
be happy to spend a little time with you and
just talk about what we talked about because we are
in grilling season, so that's very timely. I know, the
cooking grid itself, there's you know, many products out there
that will clean that up. I was talking about the

(40:21):
Jaws kitchen degrease or spraying that on, letting it sit
about ten minutes. I even re spray mine and then
I'll use a synthetic like scrub brush to remove the
residue on that. Then you get into your flavorizer bars
which are underneath that, and you can take a medium

(40:45):
grade sanding sponge and just get all the residue off
of that. And you know also just just polish it
up a little bit, transfer that heat better. And when
you're cooking the meat and the oils hit the flavorizer bars,
that's what gives you the flavors. So it's important that
those cleaned. Yeah, got to keep them clean. Make sure

(41:09):
you got the right and then go ahead, I'm sorry.

Speaker 8 (41:15):
Are the flavorizing bars the triangle ar shape one correct?

Speaker 2 (41:20):
Yeah? Okay?

Speaker 1 (41:21):
And then there's also should be a can or a
little oblong tin which catches oils. Replace that. It's probably filled,
it's probably overflowing, or it's probably missing one of the above,
but make sure you get that replaced. Make sure that

(41:42):
the burners are burning blue, you know the fires blue.
If it's got a lot of orange and stuff, uh,
that burner may be bad. Just check them just you know,
as a checkup. Underneath the hood of the grill, if
it is black and it looks like it's peeling, that

(42:04):
that's actually grease that is not paint. And again a
putting knife and that's usually stainless steel or cast aluminum.
Taking a light standing sponge and just cleaning that up
a lot will help. Again with the heat reflection, I
inspect the hose to make sure it's not looking pretty

(42:26):
worn the uh you know, the one that's transporting the
gas to the burners. Just kind of give it a
visual inspection. And again that that kitchen to greaser or
your preference on cleaners for the exterior of that grill,
you know, will you know, cosmetically make it look good.
And then I think I added one other thing on

(42:48):
the cooking grit. If it's really really really stubborn and
you can't get all the baked on stuff off, what
I've done before, and I'm doing it outside, I've got
like a big dish tray and I'll put ammonia in water,
nothing else, just ammonia and water. I'll sit that grade

(43:08):
in there overnight, pull it out, hose it off, and man,
that'll take it right off.

Speaker 8 (43:15):
I think I think I may have done that in
the past. I remember sulking them into something.

Speaker 1 (43:20):
Yeah, yep, that works really well. Also, okay, all right.

Speaker 8 (43:25):
Well, between this and what I can find in the podcast,
I certainly appreciate your time.

Speaker 1 (43:31):
You're quite welcome. Thank you. Yeah. And by the way,
like I said, we do each hour, or Danny does
it after the hour's over. He works on posting that
on the iHeart app, so you can get it throughout
the week. You can get it from three months ago,
you know, if you know what you're looking for, or
if you just you know, you know you missed that

(43:52):
weekend and you want to catch up. That's always there
and check it out because I think last month we
had probably thirty five thousand people that downloaded the podcast.
So feel free to use it that makes sense for you.
I do want to tell you the gutter brush sale
that we talked about last week. It's extended through tomorrow,

(44:15):
I believe, and it's thirty percent off. It's gutterbrush dot com.
You heard Harold talk about it that he got some.
It is a great way to keep debris out of
those gutters. That includes leaves and needles, seed pods. Take
advantage that does the best prices you're gonna see all year.
It's gutterbrush dot Com. You can do your whole house

(44:36):
probably for two hundred and fifty bucks. All right, your
calls next at eight hundred eight two three eight two
five five. It'll rebuild Jerry Jason and you. As we continue,
you're at home with Gary Sullivan.

Speaker 3 (45:08):
It's the weekend, and you have fixed questions. Give Gary
a call at what eight hundred and eighty two three talk.
