Speaker 1 (00:30):
Well, it's a weekend. Welcome at home with Gary Sullivan.
We've covered the gamut today. We're doing a low indoor painting.
I know many places got you know, some some heat,
some real heat, some heat that maybe we should not
be working on a concrete driveway or the deck, but
(00:51):
you know other places, it's nice we can get some
work done outside talking a little indoor painting or whatever
you would like to maintenance or repair your home. Our
phone number and the lines are open. It's eight hundred
eight two three eight two five five. Go ahead and
grab a line. Danie'll take your call, and Dean you
lead us off. Welcome, Thank you Gary.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
This is an outdoor painting question, okay, something I'm going
to put off to this wall.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Obviously, the way we're going, I think that's a real
good idea.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Yeah, I uh. I put solid stain on my outdoor shed,
and I like the color so much. I want to
do the shutters around the windows on the house, okay.
And the problem is I put two coats on the
on the shed, which I normally do anyway on just
(01:46):
about everything I paint. But I don't think there's enough
left to do the shutters. And I guess my question
is is there's someone I could go to to color
match that solid stain? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Are you using paint or using solid color stain? That's
the question I missed.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yeah, I'd like to go with acrylic latex.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Okay, so a paint, yeah, for sure, pretty much anybody
that's going to have good, high quality paint. The Sherman
Williams stores, you know, the A stores that have Ben Moore,
the Bear at Home depot, they'll have color matching optical machines.
And what I'd recommend you do is take take a brush,
(02:33):
take some of that wood stain and just brush it
on a little block of wood or you know, a
little just a little piece of wood or something. I
guess you could do it to paper too, but get
a good sample of that. You only need a sample really,
about the size of a quarter. But get a little
sample and take it there and they'll put it in
(02:55):
this optic scanner and it will actually spit out a
formula for paint to match that stain.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
So the only thing that can change the game a
little tiny bit is I know the solid color stains
are are flat, and your paint is going to come
in a couple of options. It's going to come in
you know, flat or the flat, the satin, the semi gloss.
(03:30):
You'd want to go to the flat. And I don't
know if you heard the first part of the show today,
I was talking about sheens. There's even different degrees of flat.
There's like a two percent reflection of four percent reflection
and things like that. So when there's a little bit
of sheen, it'll slightly distort the color, but it'll be
(03:52):
dang close. But somebody's really got an eye for color,
you know.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Maybe, Yeah, this ship is probably fifty feet away from
the house.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
So good, you'll be fine, You'll be fine.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Yeah, okay, all right, that's that's wonderful news.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Then very good.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Definitely one of those stores. Thank you, Garrett.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
All right, you're quite welcome. Thank you, Bye bye. Have
you ever used one of those computer matching machines at
a store. They're phenomenal, they really are. I know. Originally
there was an old there was an old color of
paint called Queen Anne's Lace, and I didn't have any
(04:39):
more cans or jars in the Queen Anne's Lace color
was changed or eliminated, and it's having a hard time
you know, really trying to figure out what I had,
how do I get this matched? And it was it
was really interesting. I ran into a store. They had
(05:01):
so many calls on it that somebody had a little
bit of Queen Anne's lace and then put it on
a couple of paint stars and they brought it to
this hardware store. And when you went to that store
and told them your sorry story, meaning I can't buy
(05:23):
this Queen Anne's lace, I don't have the formula. You
guys have the formula, They go, we do, because somebody
brushed some Queen Anne's lace on the back of a
couple paint paddles and they color meshed and had spit
out the formula, and sure enough he mixed it up.
It was absolutely perfect. It was and this was another
(05:48):
brand of paint. And it wasn't long ago. I was
talking about the you talk about top of the line paints,
the Sean Williams has the Emerald. You're a thane trim enamel. Folks.
This stuff one hundred bucks a gallon and it's for doors,
(06:08):
indoors and outdoors, and it's water base. And you will
absolutely believe that it's an oil base paint when it's
on the surface and as you're brushing, it doesn't dry
real fast like some of the other acrylic latex enamels.
(06:29):
This stuff is just unbelievable. And that's what I had matched.
I was going to do a couple of doors that
led into the office, and it was also around some
of the window trim moldings. And I had had Sherman
(06:51):
Williams on the show probably about six years ago, seven
years ago, right before COVID, I think, and uh, the
the the chemist that helped build that paint or make
that paint recommended that i'd used that, and I didn't
use it for probably four or five years later, and
(07:13):
got the the trimming enamel, the Eurothane trimming NEMO mixed
to this old Queen Anne's lace color and I'll tell
you what, it was absolutely beautiful. And that old enamel
that I had had on their the oil base, it
had held its color and this mesh is so good
(07:34):
it was crazy. So again the quality paint story. I
sit and I talk about quality paints all the time
because they're so good. I have wood sighting on a
screen porch and for some reason, and I don't know why,
but this this this sighting maybe a rock or something
(07:58):
from a lawnmower had hit it, dented it and cracked it.
And you know, I'm like everybody else, I'd rather patch
that and touch up painted, knowing full well that's not
gonna work. But some of the so this paint was
(08:18):
probably from fifteen years ago, twenty years ago, and it
was the duration I don't even think Emerald was out.
And it was fade resistant, that's what they said. And
this was a north facing, but it got some sun
northeast facing. It wasn't southwest. And I thought, there's no
way you're ever gonna match that pain. It's been there
(08:41):
for probably ten years and now there's this cracked So
I you know, patched it up and standed it out
and made to patch and did a little spot priming
with a small brush, and I thought, I'm gonna touch
this up just for giggles. I can always do the
whole wall. Of course, I touched that up, and I'm thinking, like,
(09:04):
you know, it's wet, so it's not gonna match. They're like,
that's got a chance, and uh, within a half hour
you couldn't tell where that was. So quality paint. It'll
pay the bills I mean it's worth it. You got
(09:25):
to choke a little bit when you're buying it, but
it's worth it, and certainly recommend you you go the
same direction. All right, got a question, you can grab
a line. It's eight hundred eight two three eight two

This is Gary Salvin for easy Breathe. I know a
lot of folks are expanding their living space, whether it's

can smell a little funky. So make your air healthy

home people. All right, Yesterday was an interesting discussion that
(12:43):
we had on a couple of fronts, and one of
it was a commensation and uh, I was, you know,
given some tips on reducing commensation. Remember when it when
it gets really hot, the humidity goes up. In a
lot of cases hot temperatures, warm temperatures can hold more
(13:06):
moisture than cold temperatures. So yesterday I wasn't really well.
I was always prepared, I think, to talk about that,
but I wasn't expecting it. And we had numerous calls
about water on windows moisture, and I was, I was
(13:30):
telling them in some cases, when you get moisture on windows,
in most cases it's a humidity issue. It's a humidity
issue outside or it's an humidity issue on the inside.
So if you're seeing a little bit of that the
last couple of mornings. It depends where you live, too,
(13:52):
but especially on foggy mornings, that's telling you, hey, you
got a big time outdoor humidity issues. And that fog
is water vapor and it's condensing on heartslick surfaces, windows,
and if you have water on the outside of the
(14:14):
screens or outside on the glass. A lot of times,
you know, we got air conditioning inside, we're chilling the glass.
The glass is not necessarily real warm on the outside,
but you get there's some chill to it. So it's
that cool air conditioning could be because of maybe the
(14:37):
quality of the window, numerous other things chilling that glass
and that condensation's forming on the outside glass. Maybe you
don't have the windows locked, maybe you've got maybe that
humidity is on the inside of the house. Now we
got a little bit different issue. We got warm air
that could be penetrating around that glass, hitting that glass
(15:03):
into positing moisture. Or we have some humidity higher than
normal humidity on the inside of the house, but it's
still cooler than the outside. Of the house, so we
can do some change in lifestyle to minimize condensation, because
you know that condensation on the inside of the house,
(15:24):
especially that can lead to issues with wood rot, maybe
with adding to decaying plaster as that moisture runs down
that glass and ends on a wood window sill or
something along nose lanes. So some of the things I
(15:45):
talked about yesterday and bears repeating, especially if we see it,
you know throughout the course of the week, is check
the dryer vent. This is a huge producer of warm
moist air. Now it's vented out through a pipe and
out through the vent that goes outside. But sometimes that
(16:07):
hose and going to that pipe, that hose is not
securely attached to the pipe, or maybe it's been kicked
off a little bit, or it's just out of alignment,
and it's pumping that warm moist air right into your
home and you're air conditioning it, and it's going to
(16:28):
make that home much more humid, and the humidity inside
your home right now should be fifty five percent or less.
In fact, next week, we're going to have a guest
and it's going to talk to us about indoor air
pollution and high humidity counts and we'll have some more tips,
but check the dryer vent that's one. The other thing
is start really start using the fan when you're cooking,
(16:52):
you know, getting the posteraretti and get that steam outside
or showering. When you're showering, run that fan. Run that
fan for a half hour after the shower. Get that
warm moisture laying there vented away from the home. But
(17:15):
we did have multiple calls on that yesterday, and I
just wanted to kind of remind everybody, you know, if
you're seeing it, don't panic. There's just some corrections you
need to make. I give this and you can look
it up. It's readily available humidity guidelines. When it's thirty
(17:37):
two degrees outside your home, humidity should be probably around
thirty five percent. When it's summertime and it's ninety degrees
outside your home, humidity, well it should be around fifty
five percent. And so if it's too humid or too dry,
you could start seeing certainly some issues. Also when it's
(18:01):
real super hot, if you're getting having trouble with those
back bedrooms getting cool, change out that pleated filter. Not
in ninety days, change it out in sixty days. If
you're using one of those real ultra allergen dense filters,
you might go to a less expensive pleated filter for
(18:21):
a month or two. But we got to increase that
airflow those back bedrooms. If you've got ceiling fans up there,
I'd certainly get those on a low speed just to
mix up some of that air. Move some of that air.
And again the summer fan blade should go in a
(18:43):
counterclockwise direction. You should be able to stand underneath that
fan and feel a breeze, so you're going to create
a little wind chill make you feel more comfortable, to
also help dry the air. So those are a couple
of things really to pay attention to, especially when it's
(19:04):
really hot and humid, and as I said, many people
are having that issue. Also, we're always talking about those
little weather stripping plates behind electrical outlets. They serve well
in the wintertime and they do in the summertime too,
So if you don't have any of those, you might
pick up a handful at the hardware store and get
(19:25):
those installed. All right, we're going to talk about outdoor lighting.
I see, you know, I see it in different neighborhoods.
They see it on commercial buildings. The founder and CEO

You see it on commercial buildings, you see in your neighborhoods.
Can you do it yourself? Do you want to get

we got the man that can answer, Chris McCoy. He's
the founder and CEO of Haven Lighting. Joining us and Chris,
(23:07):
welcome again that home with Gary Salivan. How you doing?
Speaker 3 (23:11):
I'm doing great, Gary, How are you doing?
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Wonderful? Wonderful? The way in that industry is really exploding,
isn't it.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
It really has, Yeah, the last the last ten years.
It's it's really it's really excelled.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
So what do you think the reason is? I mean,
it looks great. I guess maybe that's the reason. Is
there another reason?
Speaker 4 (23:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (23:34):
I think I think there's just a lot more capability
today than there was twenty years ago. So with smart
technology and everything, it's just easier.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Sure, Sure, well, we're going to get into haven lighting
and where you've taken a lot of this industry on
your back and have done a great job. But I'd
like to really start at the basics when we said
boy really started exploding in the last ten years. I
remember my second home, which was probably twenty years ago.
I started thinking, jeez, I'd like to just stick a
(24:06):
spotlight and blow it up in that tree. That look
really cool, And I guess there was some outdoor lighting there.
And I know when I walked through the home depot
or the local hardware store, I still see some lights.
So there's people doing it themselves. Also, let's just talk
(24:27):
about maybe mistakes people would make if they did lighting themselves,
because I've seen some jobs that there's a talent. There's
an art to outdoor lighting.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
Fair enough, Yeah, to some degree, there certainly is, and
a lot of it just comes down to preference, really,
and so if you're gonna do yourself, my biggest recommendation
is drive around some neighborhoods that have a lot of
lighting in it and just pick out some houses that
you like. And then I'd say the biggest mistake people
make is they see how they like and they don't
(25:01):
really look at it real close, and so they leave
and they think, well, that house have five lights on it,
when really that house had twelve. Right, So so really
just and and if you pay attention to where the
lights are, then you kind of get an idea of
all right, where they play them. I like the look
of that, and then you can take that and apply
it to your house.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
Well, there's all so and the lights. You know, if
you're going to do it yourself, what are your options?
Do you? I guess you have some solar lights. You
have some lights that run on a transform ram and
it's not like you run an extension cord like Christmas lights.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
Correct, that's correct. Yeah, it's going to be permanently installed lights.
So you can have you can do solar. Certainly, a
lot of times the solar ones will not shine all
night long, and they'll dim. They'll them throughout the night
and then and then go out sometime sometime during the night,
and especially if they're in the shade during the day,
(25:58):
they don't they don't do real well, and then your
second option, the most popular option is really just a
low voltage, a low voltage system that does have a
transformer somewhere somewhere on the house to convert the one
twenty bowls down to low voltage. And the nice part
about that is if you're doing it yourself, it's safe.
I mean, I wouldn't recommend it, but literally you can
hold the wires and you won't feel anything. It's just
(26:19):
it's just twelve to fifteen volts, so it's not harmful.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
So it's also got to add to the security. I
guess if your house does it not.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
Yeah, it certainly does. It certainly doesn't. What we find
is you're doing it for a lot of reasons. Security
is certainly one of them. But really, if you're doing
your your house is probably also the hangout house. Your
house is probably also where people come over for Christmas,
and people come over for Holidays and things like that
(26:52):
just because or friends and family come over just to
hang out. Because when you have that lighting, you extend,
you extend the time that you're able to be outside.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
Sure, sure, and with haven lighting you do all kinds
of buildings, and you do residential probably do around outdoor
living is so big with decks and things. I mean,
we're going to get into all the cool things you
do in a second. But there's no end to this lighting.
(27:23):
It's like spreading mulch. Chris, That's right, I call it.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
I call it like getting at that team. Once you
get one, you get.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Used a lot more. Oh no doubt.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
Yeah, so yeah, you can do anything. And now in
these days roofline line is really popular that or some
people call it permanent Christmas lights. There are people putting
you know when we do that as well, you can
di y that as well or or have it as
all kind of the same as landscape boding. It's it's
really up to you. But permanent Christmas lights are the
last five years have really taken off just because I
(27:58):
mean I started the business because I didn't want to
put up Christmas light anymore.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
So I totally get it after my own heart. Man,
I'm all about easy and uh yeah yeah. So so
let's start with tell us a little history about Haven Lighting.
How long you've been in business? He tell us your
start because you didn't want to put up Christmas lights.
That's a good reason as any.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
Yeah, yeah, it was really just you know, our our
goal is to create the ultimate gathering place. And and
we do that commercially and residentially. And we're on tons,
like you said, We're on tons of commercial buildings, on tons.
We sell all over the country. And you know, we're
on a couple of resorts in Disney World, and we're
on we're on you know homes that that you see
(28:45):
every day around around town.
Speaker 1 (28:46):
So we really do it all.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
We also sell direct to the consumer. We sell we
sell through professional installations, so you name it, we're here
to help you. And and uh, but we got started
about eight years ago. And literally I was I was
out side putting up Christmas lights, and I just thought
to myself, I don't want to do this anymore. And
so I looked up. I looked up, I tried, I
googled smart you know, full color landscape lights and and
(29:13):
and nothing really came up that I wanted. And so
uh and so I decided, well, I'm going to make it.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
I love it. That's the American dream man. I'm gonna
build me a better mouse trap. So did you start
out with just led bulbs or tell you tell us
your your first edition. I know it's changed a lot it.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
Has changed a lot.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
So the first edition was an LED bulb. The the
concept of the company was really complete automation. So you know,
at my house, I don't touch I don't touch my
app at all. It changes for Memorial Day week and
automatically every year, it changes for the Fourth of July
and Christmas and all those seasons. And the goal was
(29:59):
was ultimately that. But when I started, I didn't have
enough money to create all that infrastructure for the smartphone control,
to create the app and the and the cloud support
and everything and so uh and so we started with
a little manual controlled light that you you walked around
the yard and put a what we call the smart
key on the light and it changed colors until you
got to the one you want and then you then
you removed the smart key. Now, I will tell you
(30:21):
that once we came out with the phone control stuff,
about a year later, we sold both and we didn't
sell one manual system after that.
Speaker 1 (30:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
So that's how that's how hot the the you know,
and everybody just wanteds just like I said, because I
don't touch mine, like it just changes automatically and you
don't have to do anything. And that's the best part
about it.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
So when you talked about changing colors, was that was innovative?
Was it not? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (30:52):
To some degree. Yeah. I mean, you know, color light
even't been around on the commercial aspect for for quite
a while. The technology to do it was very cumbersome.
And even today if you see you know, Empire State Building,
the technology that they have to run the Empire State
Building is you have to you have to know programming.
And what we did was we brought out of that
(31:13):
that you don't have to know any programming. You can
just say I want to set it up for Christmas,
and it's very easy. We have lots of tutorials on
the website with how to do it. In two to
three minutes, you can have a set up.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
Folks. You can take a look at some of the
pictures that Chris is talking about to your websites havenlighting
dot com.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
Correct, Yes, that's correct.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
Okay, and you can take a look at some of this.
So so you start the controls and we'll get into that.
I don't want that to scare people because it is
very easy.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
I know when I had my having lighting installed, the
guy around the corner head his installed in next summer.
And I think it's because you could say it's all
about easy, but it's beautiful. I know he did his
whole backyard. He just I we're going to stay in
this house for a while, and you know, did a
(32:04):
great job of the lighting in his backyard. And I'm
sure you get business like that residentially and corporately. People
just see and say, wow, I want that.
Speaker 3 (32:15):
Yeah, we do. And I can tell you that if
you're doing you know, if you're putting lights in the backyard,
especially color lighting. And we sell white lighting only too,
by the way, but if you're putting color lighting in
your backyard. The main reason our customers do it, and
this is actually pretty surprising, is that they're doing it
to bring their kids back home. Really, their kids are
(32:37):
hanging out with other at other people's houses and or
or they're they're in college or out of college, and
they want they want to bring their kids back home
and they want a great place to hang out in
the backyard. So that's that's the number one reason.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
So you were talking about Disney resorts and all the
colors and everything, and I know you are like the
mad scientist. I have a couple friends and business owners
are the mad scientists. You keep inventing new stuff. And
you know, I see this beautiful bridge. There's a river
and it's lit up in blue, and the next day
it's lit up in green, and when it's thirty degrees out,
(33:12):
this other thing is pink or something. So there's I mean,
there's so many possibilities with colors, and it's beautiful. And
we're gonna take a break. If you can stick with
me for ten minutes. When we come back, we're gonna
talk about the newest color combinations you have. Sound good?
Speaker 3 (33:30):
Surely?
Speaker 1 (33:30):
All right? All right, all right, Chris McCoy, he is
my man here, he's the founder and CEO of Haven Lighting.
Will take a break and come back and find out
what the newest invention in color lighting. And they're LEDs.
These babies last a while. We'll get into that too.

(36:31):
we're diving into the wonderful world of outdoor lighting. And
Chris McCoy is the founder and CEO of Haven Lighting.
And it's it's it's what it's cloud controlled. Is that
the way you would say, Chris, it is so.
Speaker 3 (36:48):
You can control it anywhere in the world.
Speaker 1 (36:50):
Yeah, okay, all right? And these are led bulbs, correct,
so they last a long time.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
They last a long time. Yeah, we started lading off
at l D were already prevalent. So so yeah, everything
we make is led and makes color changing easy. And
but even our wife lights are all a D and
matter of fact, you can't even you can't even find
incandesse involves anymore. So that's the other thing that kind
of spurred on this, this landscape lighting and roofline lighting.
(37:18):
UH growth is just because the amount of energy it
takes to run your to light your house is way
less than the ease.
Speaker 1 (37:26):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. So now it's programmed. You can
program colors and all kinds of good things. I know
you know this, but I've used the colors. We got
green on Saint Patrick's Day, we got you know, the
Christmas the red and green in different areas because you
can actually, you know, make this bush blue and this
(37:50):
one pink if you wanted, And it's unlimited really to
your imagination, and I know your imagination's going uh wild
all the time. So what's your newest color combinations?
Speaker 3 (38:03):
Well, really, kind of the latest thing that we have
is uh is the roofline lighting combined with landscape lighting
all in one app which is fantastic. It's really really
cool looking. But but we also interface with sporting events
and so automatically, so you can you can connect your
house to your favorite your favorite baseball team or football
(38:26):
team or nca A team and have it turning team colors.
When the game starts. You can have it if you
get our pro system, you can have it dance when
when they score. Uh, you can when they you can
set it up so if they win, you can have
it do one thing, and if they lose, you can
have it.
Speaker 2 (38:44):
To do another thing.
Speaker 3 (38:44):
It's it's a really really a lot of fun.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
Oh my gosh. So for the big game and UH,
you can sport your colors. I know right now in
the neighborhood a lot of people will be putting up
their flags during UH football season. And I had another
client years ago, Chris, I'll tell you this story. It's
kind of fun. You're on the right track because when
(39:08):
I first heard this, I went what and uh it
was duct tape and uh it was their developer of
products in this guy decided he was going to buy
the rights to uh UH college teams and have you
know Alabama duck tape and Ohio State duct tape and
(39:29):
I'm going, like, really, people going to buy that? Oh yeah,
you know when they tailgate coolers and i go really, yeah, yeah,
I'm telling I'm like duct tape, man, give me a
roll of silver duct tape. That's funny that it just exploded,
just exploded. So ut so many comments on it. Yeah yeah,
(39:50):
So when did you start doing that?
Speaker 3 (39:53):
So that's been out about a year and uh, and
it's it's really taken off and it's great. I mean
you the difference is is that you know, with the
color lights, you would get anywhere you can manually set those.
And what we found out is people probably do it
for the first big game and then everyone after that
they don't. They just don't do it because they forget,
(40:16):
or they got other things going on, or if they
have people over, they've got other things to get ready
and they just don't. They don't do it. And so
with that all happening automatically, and it's automatic connecting to
your team so you can have it, it just doesn't
automatically every time they play. And it's a lot of fun.
Speaker 1 (40:32):
So let's just because I'm sure there's people listening to us,
and you know, we talked about outdoor lighting, and now
we're lighting up our homes like our favorite college basketball
team or football team or whatever when they're playing. Can
you just kind of walk us through and I don't
need it to be you know, by point, but explain
(40:54):
how easy it is to do. Maybe talk about the
zones and dates and times. I mean, it's not difficult
to do. I can do it. So can you spend
some time on that?
Speaker 3 (41:06):
Sure? Yeah, So, Uh, it wires up just like any
regular landscape light that you would get anywhere. So, uh,
if you got landscape lights at home depot, this installation
would be exactly the same. There's no difference. And then uh,
after you get an insulted, the only thing you're going
to do is you're going to connect your transformer to
your to your Wi Fi network, just like you wouldn't
(41:26):
Alexa write no different than that, and uh and then
you're going to uh basically put a put a key
on every light and address it, you know, so you
can control the lights individually. And then once you've done that,
you just it's it's a save as so if you
want to make a Christmas scene, you just set you
just you know, and we have pictures on the app.
(41:47):
So you can take a picture of your house. You
can you can see where the lights are, so literally
you can just click on the picture. Is that want
this light red, this light green, this light red? And
then and then you do a save as and you
call that Christmas and that's that's now Christmas.
Speaker 1 (42:00):
And that'll come on whatever date you choose, Thanksgiving Day
if you want.
Speaker 3 (42:05):
That's right. We can float with Thanksgiving. So most of
our customers do Thanksgiving Day plus one. So the day
after Thanksgiving, Christmas comes on and it's great, so you
don't have to worry about it.
Speaker 1 (42:16):
That's phenomenal. That's phenomenal. So when you do the team sports,
I might have missed that. Do you just check the
schedule and log it in that way or can you
is there a quicker way?
Speaker 3 (42:27):
No, you don't even check this. We handle all that
for you, Gary. So all you do is you connect
to you say I want to connect to the Cincinnati Reds,
and you say, here's my Reds scene that I want
to run during the game. And that's it. That's something,
and we handle the schedule.
Speaker 1 (42:42):
Yeah, that's fantastic service too. I know sometimes when we
talk about transformers and iclouds and programmed. People were like, oh,
that's not that hard. Well, if you can put in
a roku, you can do this. Trust me, it's not
that difficult. Well can you tell us about service though, people,
(43:04):
I know you pride yourself on good customer service, residential
or commercial.
Speaker 3 (43:10):
Yeah, we do. And the nice part is is, you know, however,
you have your house set up for whatever holidays and whatever,
sporting events or whatever. If you're having a problem or
have some questions, we can actually pull up your system.
Because we are cloud based, we can actually pull up
your system see everything and even even on the phone,
programming for you, and then it'll automatically show up on
your phone just like we did it.
Speaker 1 (43:31):
Well, all right, so there you go, folks. I hope
you appreciate what Chris is talking about. It's innovative. Ten
years you can hardly call it new, but I know
it's changing annually and you keep building the monster. If
people want to get a hold of you or the
(43:52):
website is Havenlighting dot com. You do the installation. You
can take care of everything from made to zee. How
did they get a hold of you?
Speaker 3 (44:03):
Yeah, the best thing is the website, so we can
you can also call us with the numbers on the
website as well, so either one. But we've got installers
all over the country and uh and you know, if
you want to do it yourself, we're happy to help
you there. And if you want to have it as well,
we've got people to help you.
Speaker 1 (44:21):
Very good. Chris, thanks so much for joining us today.
I certainly appreciate it. You did great, Thank you.
Speaker 3 (44:27):
Thanks buy All right.
Speaker 1 (44:29):

idea all the great things that are out there and
how far you can take them. And Chris's company is
done quite well and as you can tell, the conversation
very interesting. All right, our phone number we'll talk about
your home projects. It's eight hundred eight two three eight

Speaker 4 (45:10):

one eight hundred eighty two three talk. This is at
home with Gary Sullivan.
