(00:00):
Glenn Beck breaking down the top storiesand how it impacts your life. Monday
morning at nine on fifty five krzD Talk station. All right back at
it we go thirty three minutes afterthe top of the hour on a very
busy weekend. So far, we'vetalked about odors in your home many times,
(00:21):
and we really, quite honestly, can't talk about it enough because it
really does ruin your environment, youknow, if it just has a smell
of mold, or it has asmell of a dog have an accident.
So we bring in once again myfriend Deb Meyer. She is with Odor
(00:42):
Exit and Deb welcome that home withGary Salvin. How you doing, Good
morning, Gary, doing just fine, Thanks super And you're right, yeahs
can affect our being, our attitude, our home. Yeah, I remember
are years and years ago. Theyactually I don't know why they would ever
(01:03):
do this, but they had puta hot tub in their basement, so
you know, they had to bemulled all over. It's a horrible idea.
Don't ever do that, folks, but it was when you went to
their house, it just smelled smelledlike a gem. I mean, it's
a terrible idea. And you're right, it does affect everything. Tell me
(01:26):
a little bit about odo exit.We talk about odors all the time,
but oto exit a very unique product. Well, actually, Otorexit is four
separate products to get rid of amuch wider range of odors. And for
the hot tub smell, I mean, that's a musty, overwhelming wet mold
(01:51):
likes our lungs because they're dark, warm, and wet, and that's kind
of what the hot tub does ismay not be dark hundred percent of the
day, but it creates that mold, that musty smell that and that's just
not good to breathe, right whenwe have two products that work really well
(02:13):
for that, and we have anotherproduct that gets rid of the source of
animal smells, animal accidents, peopleaccidents, and that one's made from water
and essential oils. And that's kindof are claim to fame. I guess
our biggest seller because so many peoplehave pets, and we say, you
(02:38):
know, that's right, and that'swhy we have odor Exit to be able
to keep those animals in your homeand keep it smelling fresh. You just
spray the source of the odor andthe smell goes away, so you know,
replacing the air works. But itdoesn't get rid of the odor at
the source, which is what allof our products do. From the eliminator
(03:02):
for a pet urine, you putit directly on the source of the odor
and it eliminates it and it won'tcome back. The ones for the mold
they're called AQM Air Quality Manager. It actually is the chlorine dioxide gas and
it's very safe. You put itbehind a fan and that fan just circulates
(03:27):
that gas through the air, soyou're going to be kind of breathed in
it too. You don't breathe toomuch because the packet doesn't emit too much.
That's handful for you, so ithelps kind of helps your breathing as
well. But it goes after anyspores in the air on surfaces and it
actually oxidizes them. It adds oxygento them to make them go away,
(03:52):
and that's why it's safe because it'sadding extra oxygen. But it goes after
the root of the the spore onsurfaces, so that's why it can't grow
back. Chlorine just kind of wipesthe heads off of the spore one and
(04:13):
then it bleaches a white, soyou think it's gone. It's very tricky,
right, but it doesn't do anythingfor the roots, so it can
and will grow back. Sure, those are one of the things product,
Yeah, go ahead. But ourother product that's really good this season for
allergies is MOMS. It stands formold, odor, mildew, smoke,
(04:38):
and it's a liquid version of thatof the AQM of the chlorine dioxide gas
and you spray your your drapes. It's kind of a proactive solution for for
breathing well, for not getting theallergies. Breathing in the dust particles that
you see in your stream of sunshinethat comes in. You see all those
little flecks of allergens basically and couldbe palling, who knows, spores,
(05:08):
But it goes after the the dustbunnies. The dust might matter on your
oh, on your drapes, yourcows, the things that don't get dusted
touched over time and frankly make yousneeze all the time. And I have
clients who use that quite a bit, especially this time of year, and
(05:29):
maybe every once spray it once amonth every six to eight weeks to get
rid of that dust and it justhelps you breathe again. It's oxygenating those
particles that you see those things thatmake you not breathe so well, and
then you're breathing cleaner air, whichmakes your life, your attitude. Put
(05:53):
your smile on your face. Thereyou go. Yeah. One of the
things that always attracted mean to theodor exit products is when you go to
the hardware store, you go tothe grocery store and you start looking at
products to eliminate odors. Very fewof any eliminate the odors. They mask
(06:16):
the odors. And I see itlittle chat rooms and community sites where people
start recommend stuff. Oh it smellslike peppermint. That's not your product.
You're actually eliminating the problem. Correct, Correct? Are the eliminator that goes
(06:38):
after the urine and those kind ofsmells does eliminate. It's a combination of
essential oils and that's what it smellslike. That's what the eliminator product smells
like. Is just nothing definitive. It smells fresh and clean, and once
it destroys that odor, all thesmells go away with the odor was and
(07:00):
the smell of the odor exit,so it's just smelling clean. Yeah.
I know people like to come inand it'sll lemon fresh because you think something's
been there but that doesn't mean thesmell is gone. It means lemon is
replacing what that odor was. Andthe people will paint over their odors too.
(07:24):
What smells is a gas, right, So you can't it's like trying
to paint water. You can't painta gas. That gas is going to
build up. That source that's creatingthat gas build up underneath that paint,
cause a bubble. If you've paintedyour floor, you creak your chair getting
in and out, moving the refrigeratoraround, you can scrape that and then
(07:47):
here comes that smell. You go, I'll tell you this too, Where
did that come from? Yeah?Even our acrylic and water based and latex
paints, Uh, they're claimed afame over the last twenty five year is
they're breathable. They're breatheable. Soif you're painting over an odor a dog
(08:07):
accident, and that paint's breathable,it's going to allow that gas to move
through the paint. So people gotto keep that in mind. So where
do we find these odors? Youknow you talk about you know, the
most common one probably being dog accidentsor cats or something along those lanes.
(08:28):
In a lot of cases they getfree run of the house. The eliminators
uh to be sprayed heavily on thearea where the accident occurred. How do
you find it? Well, whateverybody has with them is their nose,
and that's probably your first line ofthe fence. That's pretty tough to get
(08:48):
down on your hands and knees andsniff and find out where. So we
also have a black light, aUV light that you can shine and if
you haven't washed the surface as yet, that urine, vomit, body fluids
will all fluoresce under that black light, So then you know that's where I
(09:09):
need to spray. And if you'relooking at a carpet, anything but a
hard surface, you see a spotthat's maybe six inches in diameter, Well,
that carpet has acted as a sponge, so it's probably twelve inches in
diameter on the back right. Soyou've got to use the odor exit in
(09:30):
a much bigger area than what youvisibly see on top to get it to
all that urine to get rid ofthe smell. Now, you talked about
allergens and mold, and you knowurine and those kind of odors. What
about just basic Hooters kids sportsbag orburning some popcorn or cooking fish. Those
(09:54):
causes odors. Also, do youhave a product that's kind of for just
general smells, Well, yes wedo. It's also water and essential oils,
and we call that magic. Soit just kind of absorbed those odors.
Again, it doesn't leave a smellof its own, so it's not
(10:15):
covering it up. It absorbs thatand then it smells like the smell never
happened, so nice. It justkind of sprits it in the air.
I use it all the time, right, Spray it at your garbage can.
It's where my number one in thehouse is the little garbage can and
(10:37):
we empty it all the time. And it's right next to the sink.
And you know, if we uhdon't do it one day, you can
smell the neck. So I alwayshave my magic right up my hands.
So your website, we've talked abouta lot of different odor causing things that
occur in your home. The websiteis O D O R X I T
(10:58):
dot com, so it's odor xitdot com. Do you have these solutions
on your website along with the products? We sure do. It asks you
what is your odor, and thenI will tell you which product we recommend.
Sometimes they overlap like cigarette smoke. If you've smoked in your house for
(11:20):
thirty years, you want to usethe AQM to get rid of that.
If you're a smoker and continuing tosmoke and your hair smells, your clothes
smells, and you're going to continueto smoke in that house, that AQM
is really not the one for youbecause it eliminates it permanently. But you're
(11:41):
going to put it back smell backwith cigarette. Sure, Yeah, so
the magic works really well for that. You could spray your walls, you
could spray your hair and clothes. If you're on a sales call and smoking
and then getting out of the car, that will absorb that smell for now.
(12:03):
As soon as you light up again, you know it's going to come
back. So that magic you cankind of keep repeating and it's you know,
it's very safe. It's you know, spray in your hair. And
if I've ever been in a baror a home where people smoke and then
you go sure like maybe even thenext day, you turn your head,
it's like, where's that smoke?Smell? Comes? It's me. You
(12:24):
sprit your hair and your clothes andit's gone. So they're all on our
website and if you there's some howto videos and some how to, like
if you got mold or smoke smellin your closet, how to set up
the whole thing to just direct thatproduct there to get rid of the smell
on your clothing. But then wehave our eight seven seven oder exit phone
