A lot of good conversation this weekendregarding your home back from vacation, and
uh, it's good to settle backin quite honestly. Let me give you
the phone number. It's eight hundredeight two three eight. I talked to
myself a lot the last two weeks, so it's nice time during the breaks.
I usually don't take vacations that long, but now it was a it
was a big time. They hada blast. Beautiful pictures. Oh my
(00:27):
goodness, it was. It wasbeautiful. It was beautiful, most beautiful
place I ever been. All Right, let's get to Joe, Joe welcome.
Hey, good morning, Gary Morning. Love your show. I'll listen
to it all the time, andI have used, I've used quite a
few of the products that you endorseon your show. Huh. My latest
(00:48):
and my latest endeavor was installing aneasy breathe in my basement. I installed
it about two weeks ago, okay, and everything went well. In the
past, for the past fifteen years, I've used a minifier in my basement,
and I thought you mentioned that youhad done the same thing where you're
you're using both, and I wantedto know how you would set them up
to operate most efficiently. Well,I leave my easy breathe on all the
(01:15):
time at fifty percent humidity. Okay. And in the in the the do
you minifier? You know it's properlysize for our house, which is key
A lot of times the du midifiersare you know, somebody gets it to
cover you know, seven hundred squarefoot and I got a three thousand square
(01:37):
foot home, so you know, probably size humidifier is important. And then
I set that at fifty to fiftypercent humidity also, and I used that,
I would say from mid June tomaybe just about this time of year,
(02:00):
and then shut the d humidifier offand then I just unplug it yet
I don't need it any other timeafter that. And then on the if
you have a forced air air handler, furnace or air conditioner, I turn
that on auto. I don't leavethat fan. Just run on that all
(02:21):
the time, okay. And thatwas also they breathe. What about the
easy breath I let it run allthe time, Okay, that easy breathe.
I let it run all the time. And I think, well,
I don't really know this for sure, but I've noticed that in probably twelve
years it's shut off two or threetimes, so there's you know, it's
(02:46):
there's always some moisture just because it'sin the basement. So again, set
that at fifty dhumidifier fifty, youknow, monitor it and if it looks
like you know, it's getting alittle drier than fifty throughout the house,
I'd go ahead and just unplugged tobe a meta fire. All right,

let's get back to work. Whatdo you say? It's thirty three
minutes after the top of the hour, and you know, one of the
things that's always annoying in a homeis smells. You know, whether it's
from cooking fish, whether it's froma flooded basement and you never really got
rid of that, you know, musty odor, or whether the dog got
sprayed by a skunk. So todayI thought we would talk about odors and
(06:26):
specifically different problems that caused the odorsand how to get rid of them.
So joining us as Deb Meyer, she is with Odor Exit. Deb Welcome
again at home with Gary Silvin. How you doing, good morning, Gary.
I do it very well. Younamed all the worst odors people can
run across. Well, it startedoff this morning, not that there was
(06:46):
odors, but my friend Ron Wilsonstarted telling me a story about a friend
is and I think he said itwas like first thing in the morning,
they let the dog out. Thedog. This has happened like a couple
of days ago. Dog came runningin the house and right through the house,
jumped in the bed and guess what. The dog smelled like skunk?
(07:15):
And you know, you get somework to do. Yeah, you got
some work to do. And anybodythat's been that situation panic sets in right
away. How in the world amgoing to get rid of that odor?
What eliminates that? Which brings usto your product? I think, because
you make four or five different products, is the odor exit eliminator for skunk
(07:39):
smells? Well, you're right, and I guess the first thing is to
get a dog out of the house. And you're probably only half dressed in
your pajamas, right, I needto get that dog away from you.
Sure, but yes, the eliminatoris the one that's gonna work. You
can put it rise, get toconcentrate and mix it with water, put
(08:00):
it directly on the dog, onhis furb. You've got to find out
where that skunk spray is, andit is most likely on his face or
his chest, and to kind oftake a sponge and get it down to
the skin and get it all overhim. And then you can take those
bed sheets and put him in thewashing machine with analyns of concentrate and wash
(08:20):
it with your detergent. Get itout of the clothes, probably find out
where he walked or ran in thehouse and spray it there. So put
right on the area where that sprayis, be it on the dog,
be it on your clothes, bedsheets, carpet. And and how's that
(08:45):
eliminator work. I mean, you'reputting it right on where the spray is.
It's not just creating a fragrance,it's it's eliminating it correct right.
It's water and essential oils that haveto come and tack with the source of
the odor. And when they dothat, it breaks it down. And
stops it from smelling. So itkind of changes the competition of the odor
(09:09):
molecules and so they will never producethat odor again. So if you miss
a spot, you know, ifhis little patty paws man and you didn't
get it on the floor where hewas, it's still gonna smell. I
had a friend who came to workone day. He had a skunk in
the house and he brought it thissmeuth to work on his briefcase, gez.
(09:35):
So, yeah, you've got tofind all those little places I walked
in his office, like, youneed to spray a little more. Dogs
have accidents on a carpet. There'sa way to find where that accident occurred
with a black light. And howabout a spray of a skunk? You
(10:00):
say, find it? Is thereany magic way to find it? You
know, I have been fortunate notto be around with scun spray and with
a black light, so I don'treally know. I would think it would
fluoress to some degree because it's bodyfluids, right, but I can't state
(10:20):
that empirically. But yeah, wedo sell as little black lights flashlights on
our website and it will locate urineaccidents. Dogs past people. So we've
nursing homes use them for the accidentsthere. Homeowners get them for their dogs
and their cats because there's just youknow, if there's one more spot,
(10:45):
sure, you got to find thator it can fill. The odor is
a gas, right, so untilyou stop it from producing that gas,
it will build up. And that'swhy you kind of walk in your house
at the end of the day. It's been closed dot, maybe have been
at work all day and you smellthat odor first thing, and you open
(11:05):
that door and it moves the stinkyair right into your nose as you walk
in the front door. It justproduced that gas all day long, build
up in the house, and it'smuch more noticeable concentrated when you walk in.
But you do need to find thatlast a little bit. I know
there's so many different types of quoteproducts out there that eliminate odors. Yours
(11:30):
is very unique. A lot ofthem just contain fragrances, and I think
where we get in trouble is addingeven fragrances into our home. For instance,
I talked about if a some pumpfailed and you get moisture and it's
you know, it's on the floor, whether it's carpet or whether it's just
concrete, you get that musty smell. What product do you have to get
(11:54):
rid of that? And how's thatwork? Well, the best for that,
it's going to be MOMS. Itstands for mold, odor, mildew,
smoke. It's actually it's a gasitself. It's chlorine dioxide gas and
it's a little packet that Once youput this packet of the MOMS into a
(12:16):
two liter bottle of cold water,it reduces releases that ga gas into the
water, changes the water to yellow. And that part is a concentrate.
So you're going to add more waterto it into a spray bottle and spray
those areas. So we actually hadthe condenser on the air conditioner spill water
(12:37):
in our basement last week and waternot a lot, but enough, and
you could, you know, lookit down the basement all the time.
It started smelling. Yeah, SoI took that MOMS and I sprayed those
water puddles. I swept as muchas I could into the drain. But
yet it's been wet for a while. The floor is still wet. And
(12:58):
what it does is it of sizesthose spores in that water spores in the
air, so it once you addoxygen to those things, that makes them
kind of neutral. So it makesthe smell go away, makes the spores
go away, and the basement isdry. I put a fan on two
and the basement is dry. Thebasement smells great. And it took care
(13:20):
of all of that. You know, obviously we had to stop the pipe
from leaking. Stop the water rightright, care of the whole thing.
Sure, sure, yeah, Andthat's always the answer. Stop that water
first, whether it's your downspout brokenand dumping water into the basement or pipes
(13:41):
leaking, whatever, you got tostop that water first. Yeah. I
mentioned lot of the herd. Goahead. I'm sorry, go ahead,
men, I heard roth you go. I was just gonna say, there's
there's a lot of different products, forced pific things, and your website kind
of talks about different applications for differentissues and interesting. I was talking about
(14:11):
a lot of competition getting rid ofodors and some of the just really basic
or its not everybody has a flood, not everybody gets sprayed with skunks.
But this morning when I woke up, I noticed it. When I went
to bed last I walked in throughthe kitchen went, uh, it's just
a little bit of an odor there. It's probably coming from the trash can
eggshells, or I'd cut up awatermelon didn't take to trash out, and
(14:33):
there was just some motor in Thismorning when I woke up, my wife
had already been awake and I sawsitting on the counter the odor Exit Magic,
so she smelled it too. Atyour go to product, I guess
it is. It's also water andessential oils, and it's a air odor
(14:54):
absorber, is its best description. It's just going to absorb those smells.
It doesn't have a frag of itsown. Again, it's going to get
rid of the smells without sinning afragrance or covering it up. So it's
just you spray it in the air. I get chicken, and you get
that little cardboard thing and we putthat in the trash as well, and
(15:16):
if you'll take that out right away, you get that rotten chicken smell.
And I'm always spray in the trashfor that kind of thing. But cooking
dinner, once you cook the fishand it kind of the smell lingers in
the air. Can spray that air. It will absorb it. My cat
did made the laundry room smell real, smell real this morning, and I
(15:39):
used the magic in the air andit absorbs those smells. Now, the
difference between that and the leimonator.A limonator goes after the source and it
stops it from producing that odor.Ever again, in the case of the
magic, the source was the dinneryou just fried and meld up the air,
(16:00):
right, and so it goes atthe sources kind of already gone,
right, and then the magic absorbswhat's left in the air to take it
away because as sometimes you just can'topen the windows, air it out,
air it and out. The necessarilyalways do it, but it absorbs that
because it's real bad walks through thewhole room, kind of start in the
(16:21):
back corner and just spray. Ihad a cardboard display here in my room
one time and it had just beenpainted. It had those VOCs from heavy
duty paint, and my eyes wererunning. I just sneeze, and it's
like, what is the difference. So I took that magic and sprayed that
(16:42):
cardboard display, step back down, watch TV and went it's gone. You
know, it wasn't bother me anymore. My eyes were fine. So It's
amazing what it will absorb, evenchemical smells like that. It'll take those
away and it again it doesn't leaveany for instance, So deb people listening
(17:03):
right now, your website is odorexit dot com. It's O D O
r X I T dot com. Some stores in different areas have the product.
Also, I know I've been usingit probably for fifteen years, including
this morning. So yeah, sothey can find the products that we talked
(17:25):
about and U and consult with youif you want to their website of getting
rid of the odors in their house. Correct, absolutely, yeah, exit
dot com. Another new use thatcustomer found us for was backyard chicken coops.
People are raising chickens in their backyardin suburbia now, and you know,
(17:48):
some communities don't allow it, andso they kind of keep it quiet,
and the smell is what might notifythe neighbor. That's something on you
usuals going on over there. Andthey're using the odor exit eliminator again to
spray those chicken coops. Spray thechicken run. You can put it on
(18:10):
like a hose en sprayer and mixesit like one hundred to one. Okay,
spray that ground. But it's stillgoing to get rid of that smell.
You might take a little longer tospray the ground because you know they've
been eating and defecating there for awhile. It kind of gets embedded into
the ground. So again you've gotto come in contact with the source.
(18:33):
But we've had a lot of ChickenCoop backyard Chicken coop owders us an odor
