Speaker 1 (00:01):
Well, back in and we go, our friend mister Wilson,
Ronnie Wilson joining us. It's time for me to ask
the big annual questions. Are you ready, mister Wilson? How
are you today?

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Good? Thank you? I have a couple for you as well.
You do.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Have you got your chocolate hollow santas?

Speaker 2 (00:19):
I have not, but they're out there. They're on the shelves.
They're waiting for us to purchase them.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
They are.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
I got some you did all right? Well? Sitting on
our kitchen counter is a bottle of.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Yeah, I haven't got the magic sauce yet.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
I got the Bourbon Trace bourbon cream sitting right They're
Buffalo Trace bourbon cream sitting right there on the kitchen well.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Between that and my hollow chocolate Santa Claus, we can
have a look together. There you go, and the number
two annual question, Yes, I do.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
I take care of my points, Satie eh.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
I saw a beautiful man of them, and I I
just low points, setus for about four weeks.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
And then you're done with them.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
I am, yeah, I am.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
You know what's funny is if you take care of them,
even if they lose the bottom green leaves, they keep
those red ones or pink ones or whatever, those bracts.
They'll keep it all winter long, you know, as long
as you water them half. But people just get tired
of them.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
They get tired of them.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
It's like, okay, I am done with them.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah, well it's like I'm done with the holidays, seeing
that represents the holidays. But they're gorgeous. They're gorgeous when
they're new. And if you can keep them water and not,
you know, sit them on top of the register exactly
or close to the fireplace. I guess that's another.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Another one that's watering is the key though. You let
those dry out one time and it's it's toast.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Yeah, that's true, it is. And sometimes if we get
really cold weather, just getting them from the car to
the house is a problem.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
That can be a little bit of an issue sometimes
as well.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Yes, indeed, so any other fine tips outside of give
them water.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
We unless you when I go to Louisville, so you're
talking to your all are there from Louisville. It makes
me think about Marks feed Store. Have you ever eaten there?
No barbecue good, but it's excellent. But they have fried
corn on the cob.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Man they fry green beans.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Fried corn on the cob that's caramelized in the butter
and sugar.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
I've never had that.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
It's out standing, Gary Silvan. You'll at least eat two ears.
Then when it's all said and done, you finished up
with a piece of buttermilk pie and then try to
drive back to Cincinnata.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
I just called nine to one. They have them transport.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Stay at the gold House or something brown. You know
on a series, Oh the Brown you know al Capone
like the Brown? Yeah? Well you why were you around
back then?

Speaker 1 (02:50):
No?

Speaker 2 (02:51):
I can read you were talking about firewood a couple
of things. Can I make a couple of comments about that? Absolutely,
for anybody's buying firewood, find the source of where it
came from. Buy local firewood. Don't buy firewood from another state,
even another part of the state.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Why would we do that?

Speaker 2 (03:12):
I mean, because you know, people do cut it, split
it and then ship it out and people will buy
it and resell it again. But the problem is most
major issues of insect problems emerald ashboard, for instance, was
moved through the movement of firewood.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Absolutely, don't they have to tell you or isn't there
laws to not be able to move firewood. And that's
not to say it will never happen.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
I think it's state. I think it's state and county pending.
But they're you know, we're trying. You'll see billboards all
the time about don't and that's what it's all about.
So if you're if you're camping or something, when you
get there by the firewood, don't take it with you.
But again, find your source so that we aren't transmitting
these insects around, and it is a major issue in

(03:58):
a major way for them to move around. Secondly, sometimes
there are dead trees that are cut up and used
for firewood. You'll find bores in there. There's boares that
like dead wood. Beetles are like it. So when you
come out, don't panic. Most of the time, it's just
a boar that likes the dead wood. They feed and
they that's what they live in.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
So so we're two by fours, they're deadwood.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Sometimes they'll come out of that as well. You're right. Third,
if your firewood has vines growing on the outside of it,
that's a good one, especially if they're very hairy. Do
not burn that. That's more than likely could be poison ivy,
which you knew that what happens when you burn it,
it's not a good thing. You'll wind up going to

(04:39):
the hospital. I mean really yeah, from the smoke. So
be cautious with your firewood, and again use local. Make
sure that they are it's all a local source rather
than from outside of the states.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Great tip I got about ten seconds. Is that fly
a problem that lantern fly with firewood? No?

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Well, yeah, it could be because they can have their
eggs on the outside of the arcs to look for
that as well.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
