Toto six fifty five KOs Talk Station, A very happy Wednesday to you,
made extra special. You know him. He was the mayor of Cincinnati.
He was a treasurer for the Stateof Ohio, and he was Secretary of
State for the State of Ohio. And he's got more hats on his head
than you can check a stick out, including a board member of the Public
Interest Legal Foundation. Welcome back tothe fifty five KOSE Morning Show. Ken
Blackwell, it is a distinct pleasureto have you on the program. Brian

(00:38):
is always good to be with you, sir. Remind my listeners about the
Public Interest Legal Foundation what it isyou do there real quick. Well,
we just fight for election integrity andwe've we've won a lot of cases that
deal with voting, voting roles. We have, in fact, you know,

(00:59):
we've we've made it fight to makeit easy to vote, hard to
cheat. Love hearing that and furtherthe points we're talking about today. Let's
start with Kamala Harris. It lookslike a little bit of cup to Taz
going on there. President Biden foughtto keep his spot. He of course
got the votes in the primaries. It's fourteen point four million Democrats out there
that went for Joe Biden, theydon't get what they wanted. And for

(01:22):
the party that attacks Donald Trump asbeing the anti democratic guy and someone who's
a threat to the very foundation ofour being. It looks as if though
the Democrats doing it again, becauseit happened before. To Bernie Sanders ask
him about it, they do whateverthe hell they want. What's your reaction
to this, Well, I've beenup close and personally, and I know
that the cabal that runs the DNCour masters at green lighting and sokay,

(01:51):
they will in fact use projection. They will project on us what they are
actually doing. And so I thinkthere's a little bit more transparency than they
want it. But they've accomplished theirgo to sort of kick Joe to the
curb and appoint the queen. Well, I love the way you phrase that.

(02:16):
A little bit more transparent than theywanted anyhow, But she is Do
you believe that she was like ifyou were in the Democrats side of the
camp, And I know that's toughfor you to do, to put yourself
in that position, but is shetheir best? Bet? I know they're
stuck with her. We get thewhole female black woman of color, whatever
arguments, and they can't get ridof her because it's going to make them

(02:37):
look like what they accuse the Republicansof being. But she is as far
left as anybody in the Democratic Party. Well, yeah, she is.
I mean, she is the mostradical presidential candidate that we've seen in my
lifetime. The other thing that ishard for them to escape is that she

(03:00):
is tied at the hip to allof the bad Biden Harris policies that American
voters are going to come out andpush against, whether it's our open border,
whether it's voters without borders, whetherit's prices of groceries and gas.
I mean, she just can't untangleherself from those bad popular policies. But

(03:24):
they will, in fact try toagain change the mix of voters who turn
out. They're going to lean in. They're going to try to plug up
the holes among minorities and the youngpeople that Biden was experiencing. But our

(03:46):
job is to make sure that folksunderstand that she was the borders are,
and therefore she owns the failed policies, the open borders, the the influx
of not only bad drugs, butbad people, and that is not saying

(04:09):
that every alien who came across theboarder illegally as a innately bad person.
But I can tell you what, there have been a lot of bad people
who have crossed the border yesterday, are in fact ready to break havoc in
our American constitutional republic without question. And you can't point to a better political

(04:35):
argument for the Republican side because theRepublicans obviously are campaigning on a secure border.
Donald Trump at least has four yearsof demonstrating the border can be far
more secure than it has been forthe past three and a half. It's
Blue Democrat cities constituents that are pullingtheir hair out over the living the reality
of this influx. They are runningout of resources. The things that they

(04:58):
seek from government, these lou Democratvoters are being taken away from him because
there's only a finite amount of dollarsand it's all going to service the immigrant
community. That's a losing argument forthem. Yeah, you're absolutely right.
Right. Let me just put onmy political analysts had Yeah, I I
go into Fox and your show andothers, uh, to give a political

(05:20):
perspective. I talked to a lotof the leading posters, UH, in
the country. Uh, and retwhether'sMcLaughlin or rest Musing and others. What
we do know and we we can'tWe can't change this reality is that President
Trump has a high floor and alow and a little silling. Uh.

(05:48):
What she has is I have ahigh floor, and her silling because of
all of the apparatus she has onher side, is not quite as low
as as President Trump's. So youknow, I tried to conscient folks on

(06:09):
our side to say this is notgoing to be an eighty four Reagan light
blowout and where we went out. This is going to be hand to hand
political battle in five to seventh statesat the precinct level, and so we
can't lose. You know, wehad a successful convention, we have great

(06:32):
candidates, but we're still in avery big fight where it really turns on
turnout and making sure that we haveeyeballs in every precinct across the country,
but particularly in the five or sevenstates and the key nineteen counties where this

(06:55):
election can be won or lost withinvery tight margins. So advice to my
Republican listeners obviously is get out andvote and spread the word that everyone needs
to get out and vote. Butin terms of arguing over the politics of
this, over the benefits of Trump, over Harris, we need to focus
on the issues. We need notfocus on the giggling and the word sounds

(07:17):
that she comes up with. That'sgot some milogy and it's demonstras of who
she is as a human being andher ability to actually, you know,
speak on the issues on the fly. But more fundamentally, her record.
We can run on her record.Oh absolutely again, I will repeat.
She is tied to the hip ofthe failing economic policies. She is,

(07:38):
in fact the green New Deal ofthe mountains of red tape, the regulations
that they want to put on enterpriseand stifle growth. And when to stifle
growth and job creation of meaningful, well paying jobs, you hurt the working
middle class in America. And Iwould just say, uh to anybody who

(08:03):
is uh embraced as America as anopportunity society. Uh. Vice President Harris,
Uh, the running mate, Uh, the co palette of the Biden
mess. It's not your friend.Amen to that? And can you imagine
a Harris sort of Pritzker type tickand what that would mean to America?

(08:24):
If you have Lord Almighty Ken Blackwell. I used to live in Chicago,
Man, I know about the Pritzkerfamily. Well let me know, yeah,
let me let me visit. Pivotover real quickly here to j d
Vance. Now he was selected asthe vice presidential running mate for Trump under
different circumstances. Now the circumstances havechanged and it's president or Harris running for

(08:45):
president. Does that change the dynamicin the race? Is it? Does
that make Advance a lesser of choices? Or could there be somebody better?
Or we still we're still on solidground. I think we're I think we're
still on solid, solid solid ground. Uh. You know one, Uh,
he can prosecute the case against herand the Biden Harris uh policy mess

(09:09):
Uh as well as anybody uh inin in the country. Uh. He
in fact is a particularly effective candidateuh in uh Michigan, Wisconsin. Uh
And Uh. I think he's veryeffective out in Arizona. But you know,
Pennsylvania. We he's going to bethe guy making making the case.

(09:35):
It's going to be fascinating. IMean, the one pick up that they
might have is that I just thinkhe would have just blown Harris out of
the water in a vice presidential debates. They probably will. They probably will
improved their their their competitor. ButI still think he's he's he's bright,

(09:56):
he's energetic, he's articulate. Hecomes with a light experience that a lot
of folks can relate to. Amenthat and Ken Blackwell, very briefly,
I know you're out of time beforewe part company. Today, the Democrats
keep bringing up on a federal electionlevel the issue of abortion, and everybody's
outspoken on it. But I keepscreaming at the top of my lungs.
The Supreme Court has said this isnot within the confines of the Constitution.

(10:20):
It is extra constitutional. It's TenthAmendment stuff. It belongs to the states.
Now, shouldn't federal level candidates keepthrowing that back in anybody's face who
talks about a federal ban, becausethe Supreme Court would find that unconstitutional based
on the ruling over turning Roe v. Wade. Yeah. The way I've
placed it in arguments is that one, we have to understand it now.

(10:43):
It's the time to embrace the heartat the precinct, the local level,
the community level, with the family. At the state level, we in
fact have to understand that we spentover fifty years fighting to make sure that
we guide a Supreme court that couldgive us a decision like the one that

(11:09):
we got. So now let's notwring our hands and waste our time.
That's engaged. And what happens,Brian, is that making this case at
the state and county level played intoour strategy of winning this at the precincing
county and state level. There yougo at the state level, Ken Blackwell,

(11:31):
