Council members ultimately voted not to put the matter on
an agenda moving forward, so by default, City of Clovis
will continue to be a sanctuary city because California is
for resident as the whole state is SB fifty four

that they so named the California Values Act. Wow, yeah, well,
I guess it is our California values. That's when they
stink to hog heaven and it's turning more purple and
it's going to go red those values because you're not
valuing the citizens of this state. This article said, many

community members spoke. We had Mayor pro Tim Clovis, Diane Pearson.
She was the big one with the big, big voice
about this, the one that had a spine way to stand,
and she had nobody else backing her. To me, it

takes courage to stand up right now, and we need
some people not to ride the fence. You had somebody
out there echoing what many of us know, that sanctuary
states and cities are in defiance of federal law, there
in defiance of our national security. But then you had
other members out there saying, I don't think it's any

real advantage, you know, putting a sign up that says
not welcome. Part of what's Clovis identification is being a
welcoming and inclusive community. You always have that right, But
how about a community that actually follows the law. It's
actually quite simple. It is I've read it. Council Member Pierce,

Mayor pro Tim Diane Pierce read the or actually put
out That's what kind of got all this going here,
talking about the statement that's called the law US Code.
She's talking about communities under attack. Like like here, city
Huntington Beach voted to be a non sanctuary city. They're

voting out of I guess the values of California. Now
here's a quote here Council Member Drew Bessinger agrees with
Pierce's non sanctuary stance. Wasn't that good to hear? Comma
what said? This is the wrong way to go about
the issue. He said, he's worried that voting yes on
the issue in this way we would put the city

at risk of legal action. Council Member Bessinger read the law.
By not voting to be a non sanctuary city, you
are actually in violation of the law. That's the legal action.
You should worry about risk of legal action. He went
on to say, here, let's see, I'm fairly certain legal

ramifications are going to be This Attorney General would not
hesitate to take action against our city and against individual
law enforcement officers who violate what they believe is a
violation of the California Values Act. We need to work
with our federal officials because quite frankly, they've caused this mess.
That's called a fence writer. Seriously, step aside, allow nonfence

writer to step in. We need leadership, not vanilla ship.
The council ultimately did vote to not put it on
the item. Council member Peer says she hopes her federal
council members will change their minds. People of Clovis. Call them,
make them change their minds, tell them you're the boss.

What Attorney General, Rob Bonta, that's in violation of our
immigration laws? You know we have immigration laws. You know
we're in violation. Don't ride the fence. Now. Let me
move on to the Clovis Chief chief Kurt Fleming. He
put a message about immigration on their Facebook page. Paragraph

nor will we actively seek out immigration violation for the

in notifying immigration authorities except with dealing with violent crimes,
federal warrants, or other limited circumstances. So outside of violent crimes,

ask you and you say, I can't, I'm not. Is
that not aiding and abetting somebody that did break the law?
That's because that's who we're talking about. People here illegally,
that would be aiding and a betting. So you're in

department is not and will not hinder, impede or instruck

Jerry Dyer, has reacted to Trump's anti immigration push. He

conservative mayor. So it's really obvious that Tad's not Pete
don't know about the polls. He's calling Dyer a conservative.

side of history on this and on the wrong side

I always given credit for coming in and sitting down

sign and his taxpayer funded office and supports not supporting
President Trump's agenda to secure the border from the drugs
