Speaker 1 (00:00):
In Trump stating they made great progress today as he
was meeting with Russia's president putting up in Alaska. We'll
talk and I'll play back more of that press conference.
It was a lot shorter than I thought it would be,
and I guess the're right to the point.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Good things.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
We'll talk more about it coming up at five o'clock
here on the show The Uh. I I thought that
like traffic ticket quotas, I didn't know.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
That was illegal.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
I thought a police department could say, hey, we need
to have this many this month. I always thought that
was nothing that was illegal. I wish they would give
out more. I wish they'd give out red light running tickets.
That's what I want to see go off the chart.
Sanwaiqeing Valley's Sun said, a I sell you a police
officer's accusing the police department of having a quota for
(00:49):
traffic tickets, and they retaliated against him when he said
something about it off. Sir Donald Ward Hugh Ard h
u ar D fought a lawsuit against the city in June.
He's a I guess relatively new copies joined the department
of twenty nineteen, and he claims he was retaliated against
(01:10):
the even accused him of embezzlement other offenses. According to lawsuit,
I sell you. Police use a traffic ticket quota. Since
January twenty twenty four, they must complete five enforcement stops
per day and give two citations per stop, totaling ten
citations every day. Ring, ring, honey, when are you coming home?
(01:32):
I gotta pull over four more people, he said. He
and another officer objected to the quota, noting that it's illegal.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
I've heard a.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Traffic ticket quota maybe, I guess I heard accusations of that,
and it no department ever admitted to it because it
is illegal, he said. He was retaliated against there. Speaking
of traffic issues, I still every single day when I
take Fryant Road and I see the results of Mayor
(02:04):
Dyer and council Member Carbasi and their whole Lance Armstrong
crew that went over to Europe to learn how to
ride bikes. Yeah, they want to come back. It's all
part of the fifteen minute city. We're a bike friendly city.
Did anybody at City Hall look at the dimensions of
(02:26):
the lanes on fry It when you designed that and said,
you know what we need to do on one of
our cities. Well, the most dangerous intersection street there in
the city. I'll tell you what. Let's do. Cars are
going really fast, they're too fast. Let's put more motorcycle
police up there. No, that wasn't the reason. Here's what
(02:46):
we need to do. Let's get some bright green paint
and right there between the two lanes of traffic.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
Paint a little I don't know, three four foot things
so people can ride bikes. People see that green light
up there. Yeah, they're going about sixty seven miles an
hour and faster, and you want people to ride bikes
between that.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
What if you got one of those lost and big
truck rock double barrel eighteen wheelers there hanging a right
and they got to be in the right lane. You
do know their tires stick over. Even with a normal
size automobile.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
You get a duly pickup truck.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
The lanes are so small, they're skinny, and you feel it,
you see it when it goes back to what it
normally used to be before they try to interinject.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
The lime green EU. We're gonna ride our bikes.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
I have not seen one bicyclist in that lane because
guess what you're taking your life in your hands. So
you take the most danger street or the most dangerous
intersection street in Fresno and you throw bicyclists out there
in the middle of it all, and that's that's your decision.
(04:04):
I've had this story about I don't know a week
or two here, it's your Central Valley dot com, it said.
The victim of a hit and run near Wilburd Park
says her experiencing interacting with Fresne police has been disheartening.
Happened at the Fryd and Shepherd intersection. Hint and run victim,
her name is Ruth, says she decided to go out
for a jog around noon on July twenty fourth and
stop near Woodburn Park. She said, I did wait for
(04:25):
the sign. A lot of people don't even pay attention
to the sign and just kind of walk a run
whenever they want. Ruth says she came to a stop
during her run at Autumn Drive in fry It that's
right right there with that that bike lane runs into
and she saw a Tan Porsche approaching from far away
to high rate of speed. But she says she thought
(04:46):
it would stop, thought it was going to stop, thought
she was just coming in kind of hot, but she
kept barreling through even when I was kind of of
on top of her car. She didn't look up from
her phone. The Porsche continued through the intersection. As the
driver made eye contact with her and struck her leg.
She said, I slammed both hands on the hood of
her car and screamed. When she finally did hear me
smack the hood of the car, she dropped her phone
(05:08):
looked at me with the biggest scared eyes I've ever
seen in my life. The car drove away, the lady said.
She called her mom just you know, needed to calm down.
A said Fresnel police vehicle turned right in front of her.
She said, I saw the officer. I started waving my
arm try to get his attention.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
She said.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
He turned into the park and completely ignored me. Now,
maybe he didn't see her. I don't know if that's true,
but she said after talking to her mom, she called
the Presnel police and she said they hung up on me.
I called again the non emergency people finally picked up.
Said her mom came down there to help her if
the police came by. So she sat in her mom's
(05:45):
car on the phone with the police in an office
grass if she'd be okay doing a phone case report.
She said, her mom insisted the officer take the report
in person. The officer informed her in her mom that
the city did not have any cameras in the area.
It was only a privately owned camera. But thanks to
our good buddies at Fryant Roulette, yeah, they had it up.
(06:11):
Said she was eventually able to find the Porsche license plate.
Good way to go, Cory said her mom asked the
cop about what's the likelihood of catching this coorse. The
officer responded, We're probably not gonna find her. So they
got to look at it, got the license plate, they said,
(06:33):
we'll do our best.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
We'll get back to you.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
President. Police confirm the incident is under investigation. The video
of the vehicle has also been shared with detectives. But
it just shows how dangerous that street is. This lady
goes on to complain about it, and rightfully so, council
Member Nick Richardson District right there, said President. Police are
accustomed to doing more with less. The Northeast policing districts
(06:57):
even bigger than District six. The patrol cops are doing
the best they can they're responding to a lot of
calls around the city for everything, and we've been very
pleased how the traffic police have been executing their jobs.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
Ah nah, no, you.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Know this, that's your district, Nick, and don't say that, Oh,
they're busy in other parts of the city.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Demand that they get up there and do something about
that road. I will say that now.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
Supervisor of the County Brettafel, while he was city council
member there, he ignored it. He talked about it a
few times, but he said it was dumb drivers. Well,
I think everybody can agree with that. There's a problem,
an issue though with that road in that intersection in particular.
It's obvious something needs to change. We need the Fresnie
(07:51):
motorcycle cops. I see them once a month. Maybe they're
hitting their quota. I don't know that's a place where
they can get them. Boy, the red light runners up
there headed toward copper On fry it right there, because
you get that big long stretch and you know, if
you're up to the normal cruising speed of Frying of
eighty two and you see that light yellow, people gun
it all the time. Because I'm sitting right there waiting
(08:14):
to turn left on to Fryant and I see I
see them go through. I you'd be a fool to
go oh the light screen. Let me pull out and turn. No,
you wait, you look, you act like you're in fog.
Roll your window down.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
Listen.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
I don't care if you're honking at me from behind.
This is the frant Freeway. I'm not gonna pull out
here without looking. But this whole thing of cops are
busy in other areas. No, we're gonna give that U yeah,
he said again City Council when Rich said considerents have
a right to take issue with any public servant servants
(08:51):
service because she was going after the cops, say, and
they were being a little too nonchalant with this. Well,
the city's been wait extremely nonchalot about Fright Road. When
it's got its own YouTube channel, something's wrong with it.
When it's wrong that much attention, something's wrong with it.
And of course we had the added benefit of the
(09:13):
the young lady. I still don't know what they determine
was wrong with her that pedal to the metal, I
mean coming doing the dukes of hazard launch right there
into the fireball into the utility area. There that was
gated off in the park right there. That was just
I mean, that is something else, man, This lady says.
(09:34):
She hopes her story will urge city officials and law
enforcement to fix the speeding issue along Fring Road. Well,
it's called motorcycle cops or speeding cameras or I don't know,
speed bumps, some speed bumps up there. I know that
(09:55):
this city has crime in so many other areas that
there running out on. And I know we have that
spot shot spotter technology as well that detects people where
there's you know, shots going off, so they know where
to put more patrols. Well, if you got an area
where a lot of guns are going off, they do
a lot more patrols. Well, cars are weapons, and I
(10:18):
see these cars going so fast, and you know what
that is. That's a gun that went off. They didn't
hit somebody, and nobody was hit by the gunfire. Okay,
there's no victim yet. But when you hear that gunfire
going off, even if it's not killing people, the shot
spotters alerting you this is a high crime area, will
cars kill people too, So we need more patrols up there.
(10:43):
And that is my editorial for Friday, August fifteenth, twenty
twenty five.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
This is the Trebortary Show on the Valleyspour Talk.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Alaska. Good News concludes historic a good start to restore
US business ties. We'll see what's happening. If you missed it,
I'll replay it right after five o'clock here as President
Trump and Putin are meeting up in Alaska. Uh, does
that mean the rest is gonna happen? Like they might
not be staying the night, They'll be heading back.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
That was it?
Speaker 1 (11:17):
That was to sit down like they're not gonna come
back tomorrow after breakfast. I don't think that's happening, So
I guess they won't be staying on it. Well, Putin's
not that far from Russia. And what was it seven
hours I think for President Trump from DC to there,
So I guess they'll be heading back. President will be
on the phone, as he stated, with NATO, and he's
gonna call and see if he can get uh Zelenski,
(11:40):
you know, al the night club. It's late over there.
He's you're probably talking to him when he gets Rump
from the club. Check his messages. Bit Zelenski is President Trump?
Where are you giving me a call? It's getting late.
I'll call him, and I want to call him. Learn
me a shot. President Trump, with all this on his mind,
you know who else is still in his mind, Senator
(12:01):
Elizabeth prison Warden. He called Senator Elizabeth Warren called for
her to take a drug test.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Yeah, all this going on and he's still singing them out.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
Man.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
He's talking about her behavior in a video with u
z all r on Mom Damer, new York's mayor oral
commie candidate. Here's what the President said. He hadn't said
anything else since Putin, so I got to go back
to some old stuff. He said yesterday, Elizabeth Warren said
she was an Indian. We call her Pocahontas. She's a liar.
(12:35):
She lied her whole career based on the fact she
was an Indian. She's able to get into certain colleges,
get certain jobs, getting certain universities to work there. The
President of the United States continued on with a sitting
US senator saying she's a liar, I mean person, she's
actually a nutjob. I want to see the other night.
She's all hopped up endorsing the Communists in New York City.
(12:56):
She's all excited, jumping up and down. She's got to
take a drug test. He said, there's no way somebody
can act that way and be normal. Mister President Alan
is jumping around like that. He's on record is taking
a lot of drinks.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
A lone signs he's all right.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Yeah, we got Senator prison Ware and out there campaigning
for the New York commedy. There. The city owned grocery stores, yeah,
those have been working out well. The one in Saint
Louis worked out well. The ones in Russia worked out well,
the ones in China worked out well. The Saint government
(13:38):
the only government run grocery store shut down in Saint Louis.
Why rodent problems, not enough food on there, too much
crime happening my whole life. I've used the term come
back from the store. Why didn't you pick this up?
Why did when they're the shelts are almost empty, it's
(13:58):
like Sunday night shopping and Russia. I always said that too,
you know, it's my way to say they didn't have
enough stuff there.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
There wasn't enough stuff to look through.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
All right, President's got it going, and think of everything
else that's going. And we've I've been all hyped up
on Alaska and Putin and Russia and what's gonna happen here.
I kind of forgot that we got, you know, Director
of National Intelligence and all they're still working on their
business right now. And I have learned why the name
James Clapper was always in the news. Biden's d and
(14:32):
I Director National Intelligence. And now that all this has happened,
I've learned. And I love the fact that I get
to study every day to do this job. And I've
learned the power that the DNI has. The Director of
National Intelligence only the president right now in America, only
Donald Trump and Tulca Gabbard. Those two people, they can
(14:58):
reach into any of the agents he's and get any
kind of information and declassify it. The President of the
United States and the Director of National Intelligence can work
together to release this information. And that's what we are
seeing right now with the release of this information. Now,
the White House might not want the FBI to release
(15:18):
it directly to the public, but the current FBI releases
that we're getting from Cash Hotel. You know, you've heard
of a journalist John Solomon. Where's he getting? Why is
he such a great journalist? Who does he know they're
being released directly to him. And that's that's that's a
pre existing relationship. The FBI director trust that journalist. Now
(15:42):
those journalists got to be careful that they're also not
being spun and played. Now Director cash Hotel's releasing this
information and the Director of National Intelligence is declassifying it.
That's that's the reason that that is happening. And when
you get the right people working together, you can dig
(16:02):
down in those silos that they have there in DC
that go way deep, I mean down into the ground deep.
And each agency has a lot of control over their
own agency though, like a whistleblower from the CIA can't
go to the to the FBI and go, hey, I
got evidence corrupt activity. The FBI, they're not going to
(16:24):
move on that without their approval of the CIA. And
if the CIA, you know, same way, has a whistleblower
and takes it to the FBI, the CIA doesn't permit it.
The FBI can't use that. So this was why the
Office Director of National Intelligence was created. That's a lot
of power. They can go into those two agencies and
(16:46):
take that information. And this was only created after nine
to eleven, and it can be used in the wrong way.
Or it can be used correctly, and we got some
correct activity going on these days. We didn't would Clapper?
Oh absolutely not. So information is being released. I wish
(17:07):
the House Oversight Committee we'd find somebody different than Connors
and James Comer in Kentucky. No, he's he hasn't proven
to be able to. We need a Matt Locke. We
need like an attorney guy that's really good at talking
and showing the case and doing it in a way
that people can understand. Yeah, let's get mad. Yeah, that
(17:33):
would be a good pull out. Matt Gates. What he's
doing is is it News Nation or he's doing One America.
He's one of those things. Don't seem to say that
based off of your comments.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
Matt, come on, be nice. It's a Friday.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
Abortion rallies are ugly and overweight. Yes, what do you
say to people who think that those comments are offensive?
Be offended?
Speaker 2 (17:51):
All right?
Speaker 1 (17:51):
Back to Comber in Kentucky, he's come out and he said, Hey,
Bill Clinton, he's a prime suspect. It's according to James Comer,
Well what you got, Comber, why don't you have him
be the main suspect and shut up about it? Just
like VP Vans was saying, and Judge Denine was saying,
we're quiet about our investigations until we're ready to lay
(18:14):
the goods on the table. So maybe he's just maybe
he's all prime and Billy Boy up for October fourteenth.
That is that what Comber's doing. He's a House Oversight
Committee chair. Come on, he knows more about what he's
doing than this talk show host on at four forty
four on a Friday.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
Well, maybe he does.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
I'm just saying he he just doesn't strike me as
a good presenter of cases like I have seen. You know,
I guess I'm getting you to like Stephen Miller, you
know Caroline Lovett. Yeah, they're good communicators. They lay it out.
And when Comber's on there, yeah, he said, and this
is Comer. Everybody in America wants to know what went
(18:56):
on in Epstein Island. We've all heard reports that Bill
Clinton was a freak visitor there. So he's a prime suspect.
He's going to be deposed by the House Oversight Committee. Well,
the subpoenas have gone out tied to Epstein. Well, we
got Chuck Schumer claiming that the only reason Trump's doing
the DC crime thing is because he's trying to deflect
from Epstein. We got Al Sharpton saying that deflect from Epstein.
(19:19):
They're all reading their liberal two am teleprompter talking points
that go out every morning at two am on the
East Coast that they just throw up around media around America.
And yeah, he's deflecting because of Epstein. They're saying, well,
we don't know what's going to come of Epstein. We
(19:39):
know Hillary's going to be testifying. We know Bill has
now Bill Clinton has claim never never never been to
Epstein Island. Look bossy playing Bill's not on it, Clinton wrote.
Bill wrote in his twenty twenty four memoir that he
never gone to the island and that he wished I
(20:00):
had never ever met Epstein in the first place. We
got all this activity going on, and let me just
remind youdj announced back in July no new documents and
the review into Epstein is closed. But the people spoke.
The Republican Party showed the Democrat Party that no, we're
(20:22):
not cult members. President Trump got more pressure from the
right than he did the left. The left now is
just kind of go, oh well, lack like them. I
got Trump to change the Oversight Committee issued a subpoena
for all Justice Department documents pertaining to Epstein. And again,
I mean, we got Komee coming in. We got a
former Attorney General Eric Holder, we got former Attorney General
(20:45):
Jeff Sessions and Merek Garland among others that have been
subpoena to roll on in. And I don't know what's
going to come a video this. I do not want
to be overly optimistic because I do not want to
be let down. Just like going into this prisno state
football season, new coach, new year, rebuilding. I don't want
to be all who we're gonna be playing at the
(21:06):
end of the week, which bowl game we're gonna be good.
Let's just have a good, consistent winning you know, like
don't I'm not going to overdo it. And I'm same
with this. It's just kind of part of my nature
though well no, I'm kind of half glass half full
most of the time. Well sometimes it's part of my nature.
Full glass. Yes, let's go, let's get these guys. It
(21:28):
can happen. Well, I tell you what, I do think
they got the right team in place, minus a g peambargy.
I know, I wish there's somebody better there, but everybody
else around there. I think there's enough good around her
to not let her get her original bad. That's what
I'm relying on here. But the team is in place, man,
the right moment. These windows only pass by a few
(21:50):
times when you can actually get in there and start
to dismantle the infrastructure of the swamp. You're not gonna
take it all out at once, but it sure would
be nice if a message could be sent. And that
message is seeing people that thought they were untouchable to
have handcuffs on, to be hugging their loves and loved
(22:13):
ones as they're going away for a prison stint. And
that would make people think maybe once twice or three
times in the future about pulling that off. Because you
know what, they think We're in the small club, don't we.
They think we don't have power. Come on, George, it's
a big club.
Speaker 4 (22:34):
You ain't in it.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
You and I are not in the big club.
Speaker 4 (22:39):
This is the Trevor carry Show on the Valley's Power Talk.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
I gotta say, Air Force one really just looks even
though it's an older airplane, it just looks so much.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
More dominating than whatever.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
Yeah, that Russian plane he flew in on the cockpit
looked so skinny in the front, don't.
Speaker 3 (23:01):
They They they.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
Can juice it up a little better than that, can't they.
It's just white with a red streak down it with
PO C C h h. It looks like I don't know,
and it's probably some olive Ark's plane. Putin said, Hey,
mon's in the shop of voters. I need to go
to Alaska.
Speaker 5 (23:20):
Hmmm.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
What is going to be going on here with that
commune in New York City that that mayor their mom dommy?
They they really are. This is how far the left
is actually gone now they they see that. I guess
people excited on the streets about free stuff, people that
have no education on the fact of what communism and
(23:43):
socialism has done to people before no clue. You had
the House Minority leader hocking Jefferies. He was on CNBC
talking economy and listen to him here he gets He's like,
how listen this guy, He's how can you talk about
this communist there with the economy and all this and
(24:04):
listen to listen to Hawkim turn it right back into
I'm flustered. What do I say? Let me go to
my pocket. Oh yeah, picture Trump. Let me, let me,
let me go after Trump.
Speaker 6 (24:14):
This is why I wanted to go there, because there's
sort of a You're talking about a free market on
one side and being an advocate for a free market
on one side, but at the same time, we just
had a whole conversation about an individual who is running
for mayor in New York City who is who is
genuinely titling themselves a socialist, and you're saying that you
(24:35):
might and.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
I support them, and so.
Speaker 5 (24:38):
No, no, no, no, I'm trying to understand why you
would spend a significant amount of time asking me about
the Democratic nominee who's not even the mayor. And it's
not a legitimate point to raise about a president who
is regularly attacking the free market economy.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
Regularly attacking the free market economy. Huh well, hawkem, you'll
have to eat those words. When the tear starts to
and we're going.
Speaker 2 (25:01):
What's that coming in the check at Christmas?
Speaker 1 (25:04):
Oh, that's a terriff gift hacking Jeffries, he just they
get put on the point. He didn't see that one
coming on CNBC. Probably, I'm sure he's like telling his
staff don't you ever put me on with that guy again.
I gotta go and take a picture here. Let me,
let me, let me squat down here. Oh my pants
are tight. Take a picture of me on this park bench. Now,
(25:25):
get get back to the office and photoshop that made
me look like Derek Jeter in nineteen ninety eight. Here's
a picture at Jeter here, just use his body, put
my face on there. Yeah, he got caught photoshop and
stuff where he's all posing, and then behind him the
metal part of the bench is all curved. It's like, no,
uh uh, somebody messed around with that. He got caught
(25:46):
with that. He is just a horrible leader. Aren't you
so glad the Democrats in California out here aren't like
people like Hockeying jeffrees that is. I mean, we got
a governor out here, you know, we got We got
people still tonight, don't know, don't know about their permit,
don't even know when the permit's coming, have no idea.
Once a permit gets there, them building can maybe start.
(26:09):
If they got it all worked out with insurance in
the state. I'm sure Ricardo Lara is all over that
taking care of that. The insurance commissioner. Well, we got
a Republican. I'm going to tell you about her on Monday,
related to somebody that many of us know here in
the valley as well, that's running for insurance commissioner. I'll
tell you Monday, she's going to come on the show.
A Republican needs to win that race. But where's Newsom
(26:32):
right now? Where is he?
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Well, we don't know.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
He's probably doing a podcast and somebody came in and said, Governor,
we need you to sign this. Please need some announce
He's sending emergency resources from the state of California and
personnel to Puerto Rico ahead of a tropical storm. He's
on top of that. Yeah, this is well, they can
(26:56):
vote there. We still got tens of thousand. It's in California,
so don't have a place to live. Ignoring the disasters
in his own state, heavy tropol store. He's sending resources
in personnel there. Remember when it snowed, we had a blizzard.
He was down in Baja Marian went to Montana when
he couldn't because it was a state ban on God
(27:17):
Country and Constitution states. Yeah, I remember that. I remember
you at the French laundry. You demon of a governor.
