Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's good that President Trump adopted and built on the
(00:02):
plan the Biden administration developed after months of discussion with
their partners Israel and the Palestine and authority. Trying to
trying to take credit for it. Well that's all right.
We wait, I think we know everybody knows they can
do that. Why would we expect differently? Well, not everybody
(00:23):
acted like it wasn't Trump's Trump's thing, right, CNN gave
much deserved praise.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
He certainly is taking a victory lap today. He certainly
has been relashing all of the praise.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
But the praise is much deserved.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
He played at a very pivotal role here, an incredibly
pivotal role in getting this deal across the finish line.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Yeah he did, but not everybody.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
No, President Trump is announcing played a key part in
negotiating is a significant change. This war was blocked for
two years. President Biden, who preceded him, was unable to
find a way to stop it.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
Yeah he did. Who did it? Trump did it? So
if it were Biden, it were Obama. Remember remember the
spontaneous eruption when we killed Osama bin lad the number
one terrorists in the world. We decided not to bring
him back and interrogate him. We thiwed him off a
boat out in the Mediterranean. But suddenly all the American
(01:22):
Chris flags were out at midnight in front of the
White House, celebrating It's a joyous occasion, was it not?
Terrorism was going to stop? But listened to all the
joy morning breath again, Let's look.
Speaker 5 (01:38):
Back, and yesterday just an extraordinary, extraordinary day and unlike
I think any day I've ever seen, certainly coming out
of the Middle East.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
Joe, it was a joyous day of images of people
celebrating genuine, deep happiness and seeing their felt his home,
seeing Thompson and prisoner's return. On both sides, you saw
the just unmistakable joy of the day.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
All right. Chuck Schumer had a little bit more joy.
I think he actually praise President Trump and see, this
is a good time for Republicans to show that we're
different than they are. I can say thank you to
the Senate Minority leader, even though he's keeping soldiers from
getting paychecks. I can look at it and go, well,
I'm glad that, yes, you saw what happened, and you
(02:32):
aren't as deranged, I guess as some of them, because
you're praising the President for the safe return of the
living Israeli hostages. He said, it's a wonderful day, and
he did praise President Trump. Now what about the bodies.
You know there are still dead hostages. The President explained
(02:54):
the bodies would be sought out in conjunction with Israel.
They're going to go and look for bodies. President said,
it's a pretty gruesome task. Let's not forget who killed him,
even even Stephen Colbert, and he gives President Trump credit.
Then he turns around and asks like it's not his
(03:15):
failing ratings because he doesn't have one funny bone in
his body. I can't ever tell you, seriously, the time
Cobert made me laugh maybe when he was on Comedy
Central when yeah, he was different then. But anyhow, listen,
he makes it sound like he's having to lead because
(03:36):
of President Trump after giving him a little congratulatory high five.
Speaker 5 (03:41):
I guess, oh, there is some good news out there,
because today, thanks to Trump's newly broken ceasefire in Gaza,
all living Israeli hostages and almost two thousand palastan and prisoners.
Speaker 6 (03:52):
Have been released.
Speaker 7 (03:54):
Okay, it's important.
Speaker 5 (03:57):
Credit where credit is due. Donald Trump did something good,
good Are we still canceled?
Speaker 7 (04:08):
Sure?
Speaker 1 (04:10):
I tried.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
I tried. It's kind of surprising to see him do
something good.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
So you hear that little pause. I didn't put that
in there. That's how long the studio was silent. That's
how much pause they gave. Credit for doing something good.
Speaker 5 (04:26):
It's important credit where credit is due. Donald Trump did something.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Good on thousand and one thousands?
Speaker 5 (04:31):
Are we still canceled?
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Second and a half? Well, let's turn the dial over.
We don't turn the dial over, let's click I noticed
with my new TV there's not even a one, two, three, four, five, six, seven,
eight nine on there anymore. All right, this is nineteen hundreds.
Let's go. Let's click over to or let's say go
(04:55):
to Kimmel please, all right, here we go.
Speaker 8 (04:57):
Trump was in Israel and to Egypt today to celebrate
a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. All twenty Israeli hostages
are home. After seven hundred and thirty eight, almost two
thousand Palestinian prisoners and boutainees have been released.
Speaker 9 (05:14):
And while we're.
Speaker 8 (05:14):
Only in the first phase of what will undoubtedly be
a long and tricky process, the fact is the bombing
has stopped. The hostages have been released, and Trump deserves
some of the praise for that. And so I know
it sounds crazy to say, but good work on that one,
President Trump. Now maybe you can not invade Portland.
Speaker 6 (05:33):
Just an idea, I mean, while you're on a road.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Yeah, he didn't even get a second and a half,
did he. Obama gave no credit. I guess Bill and
Hill gave a little credit. Let's go to Fox Back.
Speaker 10 (05:51):
Obama went out of his way to scold his party
for their quote Holier than Thou superiority when it comes
to the other side. But when Obama then Harold did
the breakthrough in the Middle East, he did so without
mentioning the name Donald Trump. In other words, he decided
to stick to the Holy Thou and skip the Holy Cow.
(06:12):
But hey, at least former president and First Lady Bill
and Hillary Clinton gave Trump credit.
Speaker 6 (06:17):
You would think that Hillary would be very happy today.
She'll be. I think she'll be. She's out there someplace.
Speaker 10 (06:22):
Celebrating former members of the Biden administration took credit. Lever
Maxie says, I agree with Well, let me just say this.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
For laying the groundwork, yes, taking the credit for it.
Obama nothing, But why should we expect anything differently. Yesterday
on CNN, Christina, I'm a poor us should be fired
for this. Listen to what she said yesterday. Think of
(06:53):
what digging your own grave would feel like. Think about
seven hundred and what was it eight sixty eighty days
in captivity, first of all, just being kidnapped, being taken
on October seventh, the death that they saw around them,
(07:13):
other hostages dying. We'll send to what this woman said yesterday.
Speaker 11 (07:18):
Alrah And I think for sure people who start to
talk to the hostages who've only just been released will
find that it will take a long long time for
them to recover physically, but also mentally. It's been a terrible,
terrible two years for them because not only are they there,
you know, they're probably being treated better than the average
(07:38):
gasen because they are the pawns and the chips that
Hamas had. Now Hamas has given up all its leverage,
by the way, by giving them all up, So that
is a victory for the Israel. Yeah, catch that long
long time for them to recover physically, but also mentally.
It's been a terrible terrible two years for them because
not only are they there, you know, They're probably been
(08:01):
treated better than the average Gaza because they are the
pawns and the chips that Hamas had.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Now Hamas has.
Speaker 11 (08:07):
Given up all its leverage, by the way, by giving
them all up, So that is a victory for the Israel.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
You're just being treated better than the average Gazen, who
can choose to go walk around where they want to.
They're not having to dig their own grave, they weren't kidnapped.
Worst case scenario, there's you and food truck to go to.
So yeah, people called for her firing. How dare on
(08:34):
the day that these moms are kissing their son's cheeks
and crying Right, well, it looks like she had a
little too change in overnight, twued the old attitude change,
let's go, let's now earlyer.
Speaker 11 (08:46):
Live on air, I spoke about what a day of
real joy this is for Israeli families whose loved ones
are finally being returned from two years of horrific Hamas captivity,
and for civilians in Gaza who finally had reprieved from
two years of brutal and deadly worn I noted that
for the hostages who are finally home, it'll take a
long time for them to recover mentally and physically. But
(09:08):
I regret also saying that they might have been treated
better than many Gazans because Hamas used these hostages as
pawns and bargaining chips. But that was insensitive and it
was wrong. From speaking to many former hostages and their families,
Like everyone, I've been horrified at what Hamas has subjected
them to over two long years. They've told me as
(09:29):
You've just heard their stories of barely being able to
breathe in the tunnels, not being allowed to cry, being
starved and made to dig their own grades. And of
course today some of the hostages are coming back in
body bags.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
Okay, but a few hours earlier. Excuse me, it wasn't overnight.
She decided they got to her. I guess before the
sundown happened. Over what she said, so she knew what
they went through. She just told you she knew she
had talked to them, but yet still came out and
made that statement. Any respectable organiczation and this is not
a left right thing. We can somebody for saying something
(10:06):
like that. Did we hear from Congresswoman ill Han Omar?
Did we hear from Congresswoman rash Eta to leeb Or,
the leader of the Socialist rat pack, aoc oh. Remember
all they're screaming and squawking and chanting for a ceasefire.
(10:31):
Maybe of the colleges being taken over for a ceasefire.
The killing must stop, it must stop. Where are they?
They didn't come out, They didn't know nothing nothing.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
I'mical sponsor of the ceasefire resolution.
Speaker 12 (10:42):
This is not war.
Speaker 11 (10:45):
This is a payoff.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
We are calling for an end of this violence, not
a break in the violence. The temporary pauses are not enough.
We need a permanent ceasefire.
Speaker 13 (10:54):
Now.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
We need an end to the genocide.
Speaker 12 (10:56):
That is why we are here, an end to this
one sighted war, an end to the weapons sales and
asking for as fire.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
You got it, girls, You got it girls. You know
why we got it.
Speaker 10 (11:12):
And I want to just thank everybody, and in particular God,
I want to just say we love you God.
Speaker 7 (11:20):
This is the Trevor Carry Show on the Valley's Power Talk.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
Would have been the thirty second birthday at Charlie Kirk.
His wife Erica spoke as President Trump honored will Be.
I'll let you hear some of that. It was a
few hours ago back at the White House, and I'll
play you some of that coming up here at the
bottom of the hour. Charlie's thirty second birthday. It would
(11:45):
have been newsome boy.
Speaker 11 (11:48):
He is.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
Well, he's signing gun laws that are against the Supreme Court.
We'll talk about that too. But his governor Press office
account attacking President Trump. I would say this is one
of the worst crossing of the line that he's done.
This is the governor of our state mocking the release
(12:11):
of Israeli hostages, is what it was. He posted this
on x knew. Some quoted a White House posts of
a photograph of Trump with Prime Minister net and Yahoo
and responded by adding a picture from the movie Dumb
and Dumber. Yeah, that's that's our governor on the day
(12:34):
that hostages were released. Not soldiers, they got caught in
a battle in a pow et changed. Now, these were
people living their lives, average Israeli citizens, and that's what
this guy did. The post was deleted after thirteen hours online.
(13:00):
No apology whatsoever from the Governor's office, none at all.
That's kind of like him, though, isn't it. He really is? Man?
Is he's down deep in there? Not a good dude? Sociopath,
thank you, Just like that Virginia governor candidate, the Democrat,
(13:22):
just staring, please denounce the killing of a human and
his children, and she couldn't do it. Man, You know,
the lighter things of being a sociopath, or like telling
everybody else that you can only have eight people in
your backyard and you have to rent a porta potty
(13:43):
because they can't be going inside because you've got to
have a mask on, and everybody has to have their
COVID test and then to be up there frolicking at
the French laundry. That's the mild sociopath. Yeah, but that
kind of stuff. And if he didn't know about it,
as press office did that, you'd hold a press conference
(14:03):
immediately and be like, I let and you would name
the people that was really bad. I let them go,
and them go and them go. My apology to the
world for that. I'm glad they're home. I'm Governor Gavin
Newsoone running for president in a few years. I love everybody. No,
he's still out there pushing this taking over of the
(14:26):
world right there with Mayor Johnson and Governor Pritzker. Well, yeah,
they're up there saying the right wing wants a civil war. Well,
that's that's what they're pushing. Man. We know that they're
doing that with all the all the lies they did
leading up in the campaign, when Kamala was enjoying her
(14:47):
one hundred and seven days of joy, what were they
warning about? And then what were they freting about after
President Trump won in two point zero. They literally are
convincing people, and a certain percentage of the people that
they have convinced with their lives or deranged individuals. That's
why we're saying Charlie's not turning thirty two today. Remember
(15:08):
the secret police out there. I've watched the I've watched
the movies about the old days with the KGB and
the and the Nazis, you know, sitting in the SS
all that kind of stuff, the secret police. And you're
always the fan of the person, whether it's a real
(15:29):
life or a made up Hollywood movie, you're you're the
fan of the person that's fighting the secret police. Hidy,
oh good, throw that grenade, blow up their supply trucks.
That's who we fight for, right, the people fighting the
secret police.
Speaker 13 (15:44):
I mean, when you imagine an authoritarian country, right, what
you imagine is masked secret police breaking people's car windows
and snatching people off the streets and out of church
parking lots and courtroom hallways and taking them away with
no charges, no notice, no paperwork, no explanation, not letting
them see lawyers, and then moving them secretly to what
are effectively black site prisons where they won't tell you
(16:06):
who's there, and where no one's allowed in to see
what's going on.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Do you hear what they're doing. There's that should be
allowed the street with sacred police. The right wing in
this country.
Speaker 14 (16:18):
Wants to remagine the Civil.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
War, and there's a zella are coming. It's the mayor
of Chicago and that chick that looks like Stephen Cobert
on MSNBC. She said, secret police. Give me that guy,
Cory Booker, he's a senator. Now, listen to what he's saying.
Speaker 14 (16:37):
Ussis rights and freedom of the speech rights, and secret
police are running around this country picking people up off
the streets who have a legal right to be here.
There's too much going on in this country. When are
we going to stand together for principles that I just
heard that we're agreed with. When are we going to
(16:58):
stand together if we don't stand as Democrats. We deserve
to lose. But if we stand united, if we stand strong,
we stand with other people, if we tell who the
course of conviction in America, what this president is doing
is wrong. If we stand up and speak that way,
Dear God, we will win, like all of those people
in our ancestors who join hands together and said we
(17:21):
shall overcome. No, not on my watch. I'm protecting Jersey today.
I'm protecting our constitution today.
Speaker 7 (17:28):
You're hear it.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
I'm telling you, it's uprising. That's why some lunatics might
be doing what they're doing. And it's not just the
young Corey Booker whipper snappers, it's the old lady Democrats.
Speaker 15 (17:44):
Even listen, guys, I just don't even know why there
aren't uprisings all over the country, and maybe there will be.
People realize that this is a policy that they defend.
It's a horrible thing. And I don't any prospect for
legislation here.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
No, there's no getting together and working this out at all.
It's just the uprisings. What does the old man Democrat
have to say?
Speaker 8 (18:09):
Donald Trump and the myg Republicans represented extremism that threatens
the very foundations of our Republic.
Speaker 7 (18:18):
This is the Trevor carry Show on The Valley's Power Talk.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
We give Tuesday a feeling, don't we.
Speaker 6 (18:26):
And we know you would think that Hillary would be
very happy today. She'll be. I think she'll be. She's
out there someplace celebrating.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Yeah, if you get that Ukraine war thing, she'll think
nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize. She said, Well, let's
talk about this governor of the state again, putting up
a dumb and dumber picture next to Trump and net
Yahu and hostages were coming home. He signed a bill
on Sunday allowing for relatives to step in if a
(18:57):
kid's caregiver if they're parents are deported, Why don't you
go with your parents? Similarly, Bill four ninety five will
bar daycare providers from collecting immigration information about a child
or their parents and allow parents to nominate a temporary
legal guardian for their child in family court. Well, it
(19:19):
sounds like they're responsible. Thing in California. Yeah, let a
stranger claim your kid. Passer Jack Gibbs, who he joined
the show once we talked to him, I don't know
if it was this year at the end of last
year down at Cavrey Chapel. I'll watch him on YouTube.
He was up at the Capitol, had a busload of people.
(19:40):
They call it the most dangerous bill we've seen in Sacramento,
even to some women. Karl Demio called the legislation a
human traffickers dream. The parents might even be there when
the affidavit form is signed to where are your paronal rights? Well, no,
you go, they're gonna be okaycause somebody's going to sign
a form. Oh they're signing okay. I did they put
(20:04):
that at the start of this story here, that somebody's
going to sign a form. All right, Sorry that I
wasted your time with that. Why do California Democrats love
creating fertile soil to grow in further child trafficking? What
is it about that? Huh? And some of you still
vote for Democrats. It's kind of creepy to me. Help
(20:27):
me understand that that's creepy. All this talk is civil
war out of Chicago. Thisom signed three gun bills that
will alter fire arms sales and more regulations in California.
Let's go check on AB eleven twenty seven, gonna ban
future commercial sales of glocks and glock style pistols, just
(20:47):
the style starting January first, Why are they doing this, Well,
they can be converted with commercially available pistol converters that
allow semi automatic to become fully rat tat tat tat tattic.
SB seven h four Man dates starting July Vers twenty
twenty seven that purchasing a barrel will require shipment to
(21:08):
a federal Firearms licensee a background check along with associated fees. Okay,
that's two. Build number three AB ten seventy eight introduces
new sensitive places, public transit restrictions, out of state carry permit,
and it poses three guns per month purchase effective July Vers,
twenty twenty seven. All of this is a straight upright,
(21:32):
this violation of the Supreme Court of the United States
of America. Gavin South Carolina Newsom eighteen fifty nine. What
are you up to? Man? And IRA put him on
on notice, They said, lawsuit coming over. You're not going
to ban the new sale glock handguns. It's one of
the most popular commonly owned handguns in America.
Speaker 11 (21:54):
They know that.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
They're labeling them a machine gun convertible pistol. This is
against your constitutional rights, violating the Supreme Court decision. Well,
he's doing it so that he can later on. Bey'all,
look at me. I try, you know, the Democrat talking
that they always do well. I hate to go from
(22:20):
guns to Charlie Kirk's birthday because that's what ended his life.
Erica Trump, President Trump at the White House. Let's go
listen to his widow here.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Thank you, mister President, for honoring my husband in such
a profound and meaningful way, and thank you for making
this event a priority with amid the peace process in
the Middle East. Thank you very grateful Charlotte. Excuse me,
(23:01):
Charlie always admired your commitment to freedom, and that's something
that both of you shared. So thank you. Your support
of our family and the work that Charlie devoted his
life to will be something I cherish forever. So thank
you to our gracious First Lady in her office for
(23:25):
making this event possible. Thank you as well, It's beautiful
to Vice President and the lovely USHA fans. Your friendship
has been an unbelievable encouragement. Thank you, and to all
our friends and family that are here and watching from
(23:47):
all around the world. Thank you for loving us, Thank
you for praying for us, and for believing in what
Charlie believed in. And to our Turning Point USA staff
and the Charlie Kirk Show staff, we love you more
than you could ever know. And to the Turning Point
(24:09):
USA chapters that are watching all across America right now.
You are the heartbeat of this future and of this movement.
Everything that Charlie built, You, guys, are the legacy holders
of that. You are living proof that his mission did
(24:30):
not die with him. It lives through you. And Charlie
always said the next generation will decide whether freedom endoors
and because of you, I know that freedom will endure.
It will, And today we're gathered not only to celebrate
Charlie's birthday, but to honor a truth that he gave
(24:54):
his entire life to defend, and that's freedom. The very
existence of the Presidential Medal of Freedom reminds us that
the national interests of the United States has always been freedom.
Our founders etched it into the preamble of our Constitution,
and those words are not relics on parchment, They are
(25:18):
a living covenant. The blessings of liberty are not man's invention,
they are God's endowment. Charlie lived for those blessings, not
as abstract words, but as sacred promises. He used to
love to journal about this topic all the time, and
(25:38):
with such a heart postured of gratitude. And he believed
that liberty was both a right and a responsibility. And
he used to say, freedom is the ability to do
what is right without fear. And that's how he lived.
He was free from fear. He's free from compromise, free
(26:04):
from anything that could enslave his soul. His name, Charles
literally means freeman.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
That's Erica speaking at the Metal of Freedom ceremony at
the White House today. Just very very touching. And that's
me covering up an ad that popped in.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
Let's go back, sitting across from him being interviewed on
politics and philosophy and theology, anything that Charlie loved, any
topic he loved, and I just saw the fire in
his soul and there was this divine restlessness within him
(26:52):
that came from knowing God placed him on this earth
to protect something very very sacred for all of us.
And he never stopped fighting for people to experience freedom.
He didn't. Charlie often said that without God, freedom becomes chaos,
and he believed liberty could only survive when anchored to truth.
(27:17):
And I remember in one of his speeches he told
the audience that the opposite of liberty isn't law. He said,
it's captivity, and that the freest people in the world
are those whose hearts belong to Christ. But what's so
(27:37):
powerful is that Charlie had the ability to communicate so
brilliantly across all generations. And he reminded us that in
a world that tells us freedom is doing whatever you
want to do, the real freedom is the power to
live freely and to do what is right. And in
(28:01):
one of his journal interests, he wrote that he wanted
everyone to know that you can't have liberty without moral responsibility.
Freedom divorced from faith eventually just destroys itself. And what's
so fascinating about all of this is looking back these
past twelve years of Turning Point USA and his mission,
(28:25):
there's almost this veil of sacredness, because what I realized
is that while he was building an organization, he was
also building a movement, one that called people back to God,
back to truth, and a movement that was filled with
(28:46):
courage and ironically, for a man who impacted millions. Charlie
never desired to be the center of attention. He just wasn't.
My husband was not a man of extravagance. He loved simple,
but deeply meaningful things, truly. He loved his late night walks.
(29:10):
He loved buying more books than he could ever read
because he felt there was no such thing as a
book budget. And he loved being able to read to
our kids the same bedtime story on repeat because he
knew it was their favorite, but to him that was special.
And he loved to sit in the sun on a
(29:31):
Saturday morning with his cup of decaf coffee and his
phone was off because he was honoring the Sabbath, and
for him, it was that moment to catch his breath
and just be in peace because he was unreachable at
the moment, and he preferred quiet birthdays. But that never
(29:52):
stopped me from telling him. I told him every single
year and said, baby, I love your birthday. I said,
because it's the day that God knew the world couldn't
go another day without you. And so the rhythm of
our usual birthday celebration for him was mint ice cream,
(30:15):
mint chocolate chip ice cream. He only had it twice
a year on his birthday and fourth of July, and
then after that it was back to work as usual.
But last year, his one birthday wish was to see
the Oregon Ducks play the Ohio State and day won.
(30:36):
Oregon won that night, and it was by far one
of the most memorable nights of his birthday experience of
his life until today. And so, honestly, President Trump, I
have spent seven and a half years trying to find
the perfect birthday gift for Charlie, and it's so difficult.
(30:56):
And those of you that have spouses are loved ones,
you know how difficult it is sometimes to buy a
gift for someone that you love. Because he wasn't a
materialistic man, so that also did not help. But now
I can say with confidence, mister President, that you have
given him the best birthday gift he could ever have.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
Wow, that's Charlie Kirk metal a freedom ceremony. Erica Kirk there,
that's just touching. He weren't sitting over there, Director Ryan Nigel,
I'd probably be wiping you two. Yeah, we have to
be man in front of each other. That that was good.
Let's don't forget the movement. Man, Like I said, it's
like going to church camp and getting all fired up
(31:40):
and then hitting the hallways of school and you kind
of lose it. We can't do that because something is,
something's still happening. Man. There is a movement out there.
When Joe Rogan is talking about Jesus because man in
his wisdom.
Speaker 3 (31:58):
Did not know God odd when he came here in
the body in the person of Jesus Christ, they actually
killed him.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
That's John Rich John Wood.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
He said, I'm going to destroy y'all's natural wisdom with
this message of foolishness. It's kind of comedic.
Speaker 9 (32:14):
It is so if it really did happen. It's the
most bizarre ways to get a message across.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
The most bizarre way that you could ever like literally,
even imagine man.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
Joe Rogan's mind, heart is opening. I was watching President
Trump standing next to Erica. President Trump just a few
days ago said he's not good enough to he thinks
to maybe get into heaven. Something's working on his heart, man,
even Joe Rogan's here.
Speaker 9 (32:40):
Also know that if you live that way, and if
you believe that, and if you follow those teachings, you
will have a better life. There's something to it. There's
a reason why people have been doing it is the
reason why true Christians are some of the nicest, most compassionate, friendliest,
charitable people that you'll ever meet.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
Amen, Larry, Now that's good news. That's right.
Speaker 7 (33:01):
This is the Trevor Cherry Show on the Valley. He's
power talk.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
I remember my second oldest son. We were having issues
with hitting the toilet correctly. He's like, I don't know
four or whatever. So I applied a new rule that
you have to sit down to pe so you can
learn to aim. I'll never forget it. We were signing
the only first and only house ever bought my life.
We're signing the papers and I had my oldest son
take his little brother to the bathroom right around the
(33:27):
corner of the real estate office down the hall there,
and he comes back. Dad. I'm like, hold on, I'm saying, yeah, Dad, okay,
what he's sitting in the urnal? I told him to
sit down the pee. He was obeying. He was doing
the rural. So he set said in the in the urinal.
All right, I got a little toilet trick. I've I've realized,
because you know, the older you get, the more you
(33:48):
get up in the middle of the night to go pee,
and you don't want the light on bright. It's just
but guys, you know you listen for the sound of
the water connection to know you're aiming right in a
dark bathroom in the middle of the night. That's a
dangerous game you're playing. So here's what I have learned
just recently. I'm so glad I thought of this today.
(34:09):
If you get up there, what you do is you
just turn the light on real quick, turn it off,
and stare at the toilet, and the white of the
bowl will become visible. It's a trick. It works in
my eyes. Somehow my eyes adjust to that white outline
of the toilet if I do that quick flick. Because
you don't want the light on the because you're squinting
your eyes and you want to stay sleepy. So somebody
(34:29):
try that. All right. I thought i'd passed out along
And yes, she'll think of the Trevor Carey Show. And
that's marketing.
Speaker 9 (34:35):
Trevor.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
I thank your show every time I look at that toilet.
All right, do that light flick? It works? I heart cares. Yes,
thank you, Director Ryan Nigel. You're gonna do it tonight.
You're gonna think of it. You'll be like, hey gum
and he got me again out. Speaking of lights, let's
see Fresnel Be said, a new traffic light at a
busy pres of intersection took years to plan and install.
Why years? I said, you want like two or three years?
(35:00):
You know that would be ridiculous. How long do you
think it took to plan to put a new traffic light? Planning?
I have no idea. My guestimate, I don't know a
few months of plan it, building it no idea guestimate
based on the Romans building the coliseum and the year
seventy took am eight year. So a new traffic light
installed twenty twenty five, I don't know, a few days
a week go out there and put that up. All right,
(35:23):
let's get into the story. This was first plan back
in twenty eighteen, a two point four million dollar project
twenty eighteen. Land had to be purchased from four different
property owners, with the project county responsible. The county was
for installing, if the city's responsible for maintaining it, they
(35:46):
found I eighty when it was expanded more than a
decade ago. This intersection it's been like a four way stop,
I guess, and it backs up all the time twenty
eighteen started planning, So twenty ninth, Oh okay, only seven years?
All right? That that sounds high speed real ish, does
it not? Yeah, it kind of does. Isn't that something
(36:09):
I thought I was going to be a little taken
back by, uh what two three years? Nuh?
