Speaker 1 (00:00):
We have Amber alert. It's a big deal when kids
go missing. Why is this not a big deal to
you guys? Why aren't you mad that your administration that
you elected in the office allowed this to happen? I
mean that is there any bigger headline right now? Three
hundred and twenty five thousand missing children. Well, they didn't
(00:22):
go missing, They're somewhere, And I would think that mayors
and sheriffs and police chiefs would be open armed to
any help from the FEDS that they could get on
finding three hundred and twenty five thousand missing children. Now,
I'm going to assume by the latest words from Mayor
(00:46):
Jerry dy Er Fresno, that he's not refusing to work
with the FEDS to find three hundred and twenty five
thousand missing children. Fresno is now a sanctuary city under
Mayor Jerry Dyer. According to his latest words presidnelb dot
com preside Mayor Jerry Dyer says the city's police will
(01:07):
not assist with federal immigration enforcement operations and he opposes
any raids of local churches and schools. Now, I'm going
to assume that he's not talking about if a child
trafficker or a drug trafficker or a violent criminal was
hiding inside. He said, any any raids it's not comma,
(01:29):
but uh, I don't see. But if I don't see
any comma, but any raids of local churches and schools,
well we'll contact him, We'll ask I want to assume
there's no way he's for for not working with the
FEDS to arrest violent criminals, no matter where they're born
or what their immigration status is. I will assume he
(01:53):
will work with the FEDS because he's worked in the
past with the FBI and the ATF and Secret Service
as chief, and I will assume as mayor many operations
with the FEDS. Is this he just doesn't want to
go along with enforcement operation if the criminal is here illegally.
I'm just confused by by this reaction. Let me read
(02:19):
the quote he gave the Fresno Bee. When it comes
to immigration enforcement and sensitive places like schools or churches,
I firmly believe those places should remain safe havens for
our community. We do not want members of our immigrant communities,
especially our children, being afraid to attend school or a
place of worship. So we're now a sanctuary city. What
(02:43):
if they're going after somebody, though, Mayor Dier, that actually
will make our city less safe, especially for our children.
I don't see a butt in here. He said. It
remains committed to ensuring a safe and welcoming place for
every one who calls the city home. Said he opposes
(03:04):
any rates of local churches and will not assist with
federal immigration and enforcement operations. Will not assist with federal
immigration enforcement operations, will not assist with applying the law.
I'm going to give another quote in the Freseno b
for Mayor Jerry Dyer. My primary responsibility, Okay, let's hear
(03:29):
what the mayor city or Fresne thinks. This primary responsibility
is to do is to ensure the safety of everyone.
But you will not assist with federal immigration enforcement operations
when you know that right now they're going after violent criminals.
So how can your primary responsibility be to ensure the
safety of everyone while out of the other side of
(03:49):
your mouth you're saying, no, not gonna help gain island.
My primary responsibility is to sure the safety of everyone,
regardless of their immigrant status. Dyer said the policy still
stands that he had when he was a chief During
Trump's first term. He told to be then that officers
(04:12):
are not interested in a person's immigration status, but only
whether they involved in criminal activity. That policy still stands,
so that gives me hope that he will be not
looking the other way when it comes to the Feds
coming into Fresno and going high mayor high chief. We
need this for this workplace raid out here because we
(04:33):
know they are involved with trafficking of children. I hope
the city clarifies what they mean by all this. I'm
giving them the benefit of the doubt because we disagree
with a lot of things, but I could not see
them disagreeing with what a lot of us want to
have happened. Presido Police Department will not inquire about a
(04:54):
person's immigration status, nor will officers assist federal officials at
immigration suites or in for activity. I think I went
ahead and just answered it right there with that quote
in the BE will not assist in any immigration suites
or enforcement activity. So maybe he needs to clarify that. Well,
if the enforcement is to go after a violent criminal
(05:16):
or somebody that's murdered somebody or slit somebody's throat, or
is it a rapist, or is drug trafficking down the
list of bad guy activities that they will be focused
on it. They will focus on criminal activity, not whether
a person is undocumented. What the I still don't understand.
Where's that document that they're missing? Where is that? He said?
(05:40):
We've worked hard to earn the trust of our immigrant
community and ensure they feel comfortable reaching out the law
enforcement when they need help or provide information to officers.
If federal mandates require local law enforcement to participate in
immigration enforcement, I want to be very clear, Presno will
not sacrifice the trust we've worked so hard to build
with our community. So we know, and we already knew
(06:03):
what side that he's on. He's he's worked hard to
build the trust of non citizens. That's what he's saying
right there. I wish a citizen would start a recall.
I do not want to be a sanctuary city or
even hinting in that direction. Mayor dy Er cried for
(06:24):
the trans flag ceremony. Has he cried for Jody Jones
brother killed buying illegal This is serious business here and
we need every law enforcement in this state to work
with any help they can get from the Feds to
get violent criminals off our streets, whether that means going, sorry, father,
we're busting in because he's in the back and we're
(06:46):
coming after him. Sorry, he was dropping his kid off.
That's the only time he ever leaves the residents, and
we got him around the corner right as he was
leaving school grounds. Man, I should ask way more hard
questions during that mayoral campaign. But it's just not our mayor,
(07:11):
it's just not the other Democrats in this state, certain
elements of the Catholic Church US Conference of Catholic Bishops.
I'm going to play a clip of Bishop Marked Sites
who went on CBS to attack Trump, and let's just
go listen.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
Is the Catholic Church in the United States taking a
formal position on President Trump's immigration policies in recent days?
Speaker 3 (07:33):
We are, we think we have to speak to many
of these policies which we see as going against some
of the basic tenets of our faith. Frankly, the fundamental
right of every human person that need to be respected,
no matter their origin, no matter their situation.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
Nothing in these policies disrespects the human dignity of anyone.
Everybody has dignity, everybody has worth, and that's not going
to change when they're sent back to their home country.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
Immigrants after they were processed by the border patrol and
in their journey onto other locations. So we've had the
chance interact with thousands of people who had passed through.
I can say, for instance, in the shelter that was
run by our diocese that in years of receiving people,
(08:33):
we had not one violent incident in that shelter in
all of those years.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
Oh hogwash, I don't believe that, not one violent thing.
So that's the that's the Catholic Church, and we know
they've been involved with this. And I'm not going to
say that there are not members at any of these
organizations that don't have the goodness in their heart to
help people. Tell you about the mercy and the empathy
(09:01):
and the human dignity, and I again, that is going on.
Vice President, and JD. Vance knows a little bit more
about the inside doings. And we've known this report of
this happening in Texas where they basically have Catholic safehouses
for illegal aliens in the United States. So, Catholic Church,
you should not be working against the immigration laws of
(09:22):
the country where you have your parishes residing in. Hello.
Vice President Vance.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
Let me just address this particular issue, Margaret, because as
a practicing Catholic, I was actually heartbroken by that statement.
And I think that the US Conference of Catholic Bishops
needs to actually look in the mirror a little bit
and recognize that when they receive over one hundred million
dollars to help resettle illegal immigrants, are they worried about
humanitarian concerns or are they actually worried about their bottom line?
Speaker 1 (09:53):
One hundred million dollars. Well, if you're getting that kind
of money, you kind of want the gravy train to continue. Yeah, Yeah,
you'd want to hope that people are in need. You
wouldn't want to make America great again. One hundred million
dollars as long as there's needy people here.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
Boy, we're going to enforce immigration law. We're going to
protect the American people. Donald Trump promised to do that,
and I believe the US Conference of Catholic Bishops that
they're worried about the humanitarian costs of immigration enforcement. Let
them talk about the children who have been sex trafficked
because of the wide open border.
Speaker 4 (10:28):
Of Joe Biden talking about people.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
Like blacoln Riley who are brutally murdered.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
I support US doing law enforcement against violent criminals, whether
they are legal immigrants or anybody else, in a way
that keeps us safe.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
Yeah, he took it too, or that with CBS as
Margaret Brennan talking about immigration, security and the economy, and
and he a great communicator. He's really good, he's really good.
Good choice there, Donald J. Trump. US founded by immigrants.
There was a time period where everybody that came here
(11:01):
was coming from another country, and then there was a
time period where a lot of people were born here.
And then we've had bigger time periods of where we've
allowed legal immigration, and just recently with the flood.
Speaker 5 (11:13):
Well, this is a country founded by immigrants.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Well, this is a country found in country. This is
a very unique country, and it was founded by some
immigrants and some settlers. But just because we were founded
by immigrants doesn't mean that two hundred and forty years
later that we have to have the dumbest immigration policy
in the world.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
Bam five nine two forty two forty two, two thirty
forty two forty two number you to me, Mario and Vicelia. Welcome,
Happy Monday to you and yours.
Speaker 6 (11:39):
Hey man, how's it going I just wanted to make
a comment on the Jerry Dyer thing you guys were
talking about bringing up. That really disappoints me hearing that
I figured his stamps would be a little soft on
immigration due to his ambitions in his political career. So
(12:00):
that's where I feel that this is kind of where
it's coming from. I would think Jerry Dyer as a
as a police chief probably would have a different outlook
on this. And I don't know, I can't I've never
heard him actually talk about the situation.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
Well, the excuse me if you're interrupting you here, but
the quotes that I read there, it kind of sounds vague.
It's like not a real well, of course we're going
to work with the Feds if somebody slut somebody's throat
and running around presno.
Speaker 6 (12:29):
Right, well yeah, I mean but the other quote to
what you said is that he said that he he
will not be assistant federal any with any see and
that that's to me. It's it's all in the wording,
it's all, it's all how he says it. And I
(12:50):
just want to say I'm not I'm not from Fresno,
but I really kind of am seeing a maybe a
different outtake on Jerry Dyer.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
Man, Yeah, we have to well, your in vice tell
you that's Tillarry County. Tillarry County Sheriff Mike Boudroux. We
need to reach out to him and get his reaction
on this, along with Resnel County Sheriff John Zanoni, because
we said after Trump's inaugurated, will come back to him
on this. So good idea, Mario. Hopefully we'll be able
to provide you that information for where you live. And
thank you for listening on the Power Talk. Buddy. Yeah,
(13:19):
I'll give you a last say if there's anything that
you want to say, go ahead.
Speaker 6 (13:22):
Hey, man, I think the last six days of Trump,
you know, the last week he's doing some great things.
We saw that about face with the Columbia president and
it's it's winning. And Karen Bask Gavin Newsom, we need
to get at the polls, man, and we need to
get these people out.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
Call read call, Call. I hear the drums, Mario, I
hear them.
Speaker 6 (13:48):
Calm it sense prevailed, brother.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
God bless you. Thank you for listening. Speaking of common sense.
Jadie Vance, excuse me, Vice President Vance, take us out.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Please don't want my children to share or a neighborhood
with people who are not properly vetted. And because I
don't want it for my kids, I'm not going to
force any other American citizens' kids to do that either.
Speaker 6 (14:07):
No, and that was a very particular case.
Speaker 5 (14:09):
It wasn't clear if he was radicalized when he got
here or while he was living.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
I don't really care, Margaret. I don't want that person
in my country. And I think most Americans agree with me.
Speaker 4 (14:18):
They assist that Trevor Harry Show on the Valley's Power.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
Talk Immigration Enforcement, somebody tell me where they've heard Tom
the Hammer Holman or Trump or anybody tell me anybody
in the current Trump administration that said yes, and we're
going to be going into California schools and taking children out.
So if you're all talking about fear and it's coming
(14:44):
from Trump, I think it's coming from a lot of
y'all out there. How about telling the students in their
family and come as many translators as you need to
tell them that they're not coming to rip kids out
of school. No question comes up, what if my mom
or dad, well that could happen, Well, what does that
(15:04):
mean for me? You would stay with your family wherever
they are next. Hey, listen, it's not easy. And is
it sad? Yes, there's so many emotions involved in all
of this. It's sad in a courtroom when somebody gets
sentenced and you see the wife and the kids crying,
and the mother and the grandma. It's always sad, even
(15:26):
if that person was one of the worst people in
the world. It's sad to see the families that have
to go through that, And can't we all just come
together and go We don't allow it anywhere else in
society because it messes things up. So let's make people
get in line and quit cutting in line, because yeah,
we can all agree, we need to know who's here.
(15:49):
So yeah, kids, if your parents are don't have that
document that we can't seem to find, they're undocumented. We
keep looking for that dog. We'll find the document. Kids,
but you know, give them some uh some realistic views
on this. Please do your part as an American because
(16:11):
please understand that they're going after people that have cut
people's throats and have ripped off women's underwear. They're not
going to be coming into Missus Stevenson's or Missus Garcia's.
They're a great classroom and Sata Son's on one side.
You want legos on the other. But a roundup of
(16:33):
illegals has begun. Oh and this has a lot to
do with kids. Let's go listen to the hammer. He's
out in Chicago. Who did he bring with him? Doctor
Phil Walk in the streets of Chicago. This guy's from Thailand.
Sex offender children. Let's go listen.
Speaker 7 (16:56):
Name Tata Walk. You have a person I think sign?
Speaker 3 (17:01):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (17:02):
Where are you from?
Speaker 4 (17:03):
Where I was born or where I'm from?
Speaker 7 (17:05):
Where you're born? You've been deported reported from the United States? No,
never been deported.
Speaker 6 (17:11):
I've been in suing B and B.
Speaker 7 (17:13):
Yeah. What have you been charged with before?
Speaker 4 (17:18):
I'm not a center lawyer.
Speaker 7 (17:20):
Are you a citizen?
Speaker 2 (17:22):
My mother's citizen.
Speaker 7 (17:23):
Your mother is a citizen, Yes, but you're not. But
you've never been deported before?
Speaker 6 (17:29):
Doctor Phil? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (17:30):
How do you know me?
Speaker 6 (17:31):
I've seen I've seen a doctor Phil you know on TV? Yeah?
Speaker 7 (17:36):
Yeah, yeah. Well this is an example of sanctuary cities. Right,
We've got an illegalian convicted of sex crimes involving children
and he's walking the streets of Chicago. Again. The downfall,
the problem with the sanctuary city that people like us
walking the street rather than from laws and working on
president agents. This is what we're dealing with. Yeah, you've
(17:59):
been charged with sex with children, not really and never
been deported. Love them huh. I'll take in process and
lock him up.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
Take him in the process, lock him up. You got it, sir.
That was Tom Holman out there with doctor Phil. Let
me ask all law enforcement. Let me ask the city
council members. Let's me have the board of supervisors, every
elected official in the state of California. Why are you
not pushing for the FEDS to come in here and
to find people just like that? Don't say you care
about families. Don't you say you're out for the safety
of everybody. If you say you're not going to work
(18:32):
with any of these raids, you wouldn't want to help
Tom Homan find that guy right there if he's in Fresno. Well,
if you're not going to go along with the FEDS
and work with them to find guys just like that,
then no, how can you even say you're looking out
for the safety of everyone? Now it doesn't jive anymore,
(18:55):
not at all. Even Hillary knows that.
Speaker 4 (18:58):
This is the cherry show on the Valley's power.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Talk o boy, and that you know what that that
deserves some Hailton, Chief Hart of the Defense. Order of
the Marine deployment video shows cargo trucks working along the
border wall. Marines from Camp Pendleton deployed and supported President
Trump's executive order to use active duty military to secure
(19:23):
the border. The Marines are under orders from US Northern
Command the executive order signed by President Trump a week ago.
Today deployed to Imperial Beach Border Patrol Station in Brownfield
Airport near Ota Mesa, California. Well, let's talk about the
(19:47):
first week, especially the first hundred hours. It was just
it was a flurry, flurry, flurry, And I this is
so different than Trump one plain zero because he knows
he's only got one one turn, and he knows now
how to get things done. He's on a roll. Pray
(20:09):
to the Lord above he can keep up the the
energy here and of course breaking Friday night, Defense Secretary hegseeth.
Speaker 7 (20:19):
Ah.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
Our hearers are Christian woman and the Claus are drinking
paps blue remend beer in a boxer short rock out
vote for him. Mitch McConnell, Murkowski Collins, why don't we
get rid of these these Republican rhinos, these fake Republicans,
they they held it up. They never go along with
(20:41):
the program. Well, I guess we can. It's the people
of Alaska and Maine and Kentucky for crying out loud.
How could you be surrounded by such common sense there,
Kentucky and just get it wrong with that with that
man for that long. Hopefully Pam Bondi A G Will
get in and then RFK Junior will keep following this.
(21:04):
This is a big weekend. Let's talk about how Trump
absolutely manhandled the president of Columbia yesterday after they refused
the deportation flight. See, guys, this is called leadership master
class in politics. It all started when the president of Columbia,
(21:26):
Gustavo Petro, refused to accept any of their own citizens
that were being exported from the United States. And then
Trump gave him a little bit of fire. And he
won this bold in his first term. And he said
the measures that he said, hey, Columbia, you're not going
to take them back. This is only the beginning. And
how did the President of Columbia respond by puffing out
(21:48):
his chest even more? Then within an hour he caved.
He retweeted, then unretweeted a post on the White House
Press Secretary that really celebrated his own defeat. And President
Trump was spending Sunday like a good president should that
just had a big flurry of activity. He was out
golfing around the third hole. He uses his iPhone post
(22:12):
on social media how the USA will destroy Columbia's economy
if they do not do what the USA demands, and
he asked for his putter. Then he got on the
horn and got Secretary of State Marco Rubio to go
into the restaurant there at the golf club to get
the ball rolling on the threats. And by the time
he's getting further down the course, they've agreed in Columbia. Hey,
(22:35):
president of Columbia even said I'm gonna send my own plane,
which he's gonna pay for him, and we'll get them
and bring them back. And then Trump goes in the
clubhouse and has a diet coke. There you go, do
you possibly a little bit, maybe see the difference between
what we just had for four years and so it
is taking control or even a difference between Trump one
(22:58):
point zero Trump two point zero. And then, of course,
how did the left respond by this, well, I think
really the one of the only people that still likes
to get in front of the microphone after all this winning.
Here is AOC as she started talking about price the
coffee might go up a few cents or something, right,
(23:19):
because they wouldn't take their own citizens back. Here's what
White House spokesman that well, I call him the CNN
White House spokesman. Yeah, Scott Jennings. Let's go listen to
the CNN White House spokes well.
Speaker 5 (23:34):
Number one, the reason Donald Trump had to resort to
these tariffs and sanctions and punishments today is because the
president of Columbia refused to accept a flight of migrants.
He said he wouldn't take them. Donald Trump said, we're
going to enter the f around and find out portion
of this conversation, and he hit him with sanctions and tariffs.
And now tonight the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson
(23:54):
says Congress is going to back him up on that.
He's putting Columbia, he's putting the rest of this hemisphere on.
Notice that you are not dealing with the same president
that you were.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Guys, this is not being a bully. This is called
what being respected Again, means that they now know that
the leader of America will back up what he says.
It's not an idle threat. Johnny. If I'm going to
count to three, one, put that down. Two you're gonna
be in trouble. Three all right, I'm going to count
(24:26):
to five. No, they're not gonna put it down because
they know that you don't mean what you say. And
Trump does, and the government of Columbia agreed to all
of his terms. And like I said, this all kind
of went down within an hour. It's like when he
was talking at the press conference on Friday with Mayor
(24:46):
Karen Bass, eighteen months, what's his crap, because let's start
it down. We can get it done. A week's too long.
Let him in their houses. He's quick, he moves. He
got all this done in an hour on Sunday.
Speaker 5 (24:58):
Now, within an hour of make that threat, the president
of Columbia said, whoaa, whoa, I'll send my own plane
to pick these people up. So obviously he got their attention.
I don't think there's actually going to be any teriff
war between the United States and Columbia because as long
as they come get their people, I doubt Donald Trump's
can end up tariffing them, and they won't tariff us,
and they'll have learned a valuable lesson that Donald Trump
(25:20):
is taking immigration illegal immigration seriously.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Yes he did, and let's talk about a one week recap.
Shall He national emergency at the border, deployed troops there,
ordered construction of the wall, ordered Homeland security to remove illegals,
designated cartels as terrorist, Blocked all illegal entry, including themsylum
seekers and refugees. He shut down that Biden Build back
(25:45):
Better CBP app. He worked to in birthright citizenship. A
judge in Seattle put a temporary halt. He beaped up
our visa screenings. He threatened to prosecute any Democrat official
that impedes deortation. Well, I think we should throw in
their Republican there as well, in name only, reinstated the
(26:08):
term illegal alien. Arrested over three thousand criminal illegal aliens.
Pardon January six ers, pardon pro lifers, signed executive order
directing a ban on weaponization of government. Banned censorship of
free speech. He said we got two men and woman.
(26:31):
He reverses the law that allow people to change gender
on their passports. He banned federal funds from promoting gender ideology,
or paying for transition for prison inmates. I think of
all the guys in prison that were just waiting to
get their breast assists and watch those election results come back.
(26:52):
She lost. I'm not going to get them. He went
under protect safe spaces for women. He canceled DEI, put
every DEI employee on federal leave. He recent an affirmative action.
He fired a thousand Biden presidential appointees. The US Embassy
can only fly the American flag, declared a national energy emergency,
(27:15):
pulled US out of the parent Climacy Coords. Paul's federal
leasing and permitting for wind farms, eliminated the EVY mandates
oh needs plans to remove regulations from the light bulbs,
water heaters, and washing machines. And he paused all foreign
aid for ninety days. And he put America first, following
(27:39):
our executive orders that directed a hiring freeze, that directed
regulatory freeze, revoked one hundred Biden executive orders, withdrew US
from the World Health Organization, restored the Mexico City abortion rule,
went to North Carolina and California and Vegas. He got
homeowners in from on their homes in Pacific baalisades. He
(28:03):
signed an executive order to declassify MOKJFK and RFK. He
stripped taxpayer funded security for John Bolton and Mike Pompeo
and af Augie. He revoked the security clearances from fifty
one former spies who lied death penalty for killing a
(28:25):
coppa or an illegal killing a citizen. And he wentdrew
the menth all cigarette bend all right, no tax on tips, guys,
that's one week. I would say that's rather historic. And
I'm gonna end here with Scott Jennings giving us the
(28:47):
real effect felt around the world.
Speaker 5 (28:50):
This is real leadership. But it sends a message to
everybody else in the hemisphere. Do not test us. This
is not Biden and Harris, this is Trump and Vance.
We mean business.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
We mean business. Go home to mom.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
This is the Trevor carry Show on the Valley's Power Talk.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
A search firm that will then go out and look
for a new hire as superintendent. So we're one We're
one step closer to a hire with this hire. They
hadn't even happened yet. Kick that can a little further
down that road, would you please. They haven't even hired
a search firm for the new superintendent. What were all
(29:30):
the retreats for? What were all the life coaches for?
Why do you even have to have all of this?
We trust you with our kids, trustees. Can you not
run an ad and I need a school job dot
org and then interview them like read what they've done,
(29:52):
then talk to them on the phone or do a
zoom whatever you want to do, and then fly them
in and go out and eat at a restaurant talk
to him for a while. I'm okay with you spending
some tax paying money at a restaurant to interview them
and to fly them out. Yeah, but not one hundred
thousand dollars now to go out for a search firm.
He already paid one hundred thousand dollars for this life coach.
(30:13):
But now they're saying that they have a plan after
they get the search firm. I guess here. I resobe
dot com says five year goal approved by the school
board would require vast improvement. Well good, they got a
five year goal for vast improvement. How long did it did? Oh?
I bet that's the work of the life coach. Yeah, yeah,
the one you hired that couldn't make it out due
(30:35):
to the weather it may so you moved it to
all the way till the fall. Okay School Board President
Valerie Davis said, quote, we'll be able to tell the
superintendent coming in, this is what our community expects of us.
So if it's not something you can deliver, then we
don't want you here. Oh okay, woo. Here's what we
(30:58):
expect and if you can't deliver, we don't want you here. Hey,
entire school board, have you delivered. No, you don't even
know how to hire somebody without having to go ask
somebody to hire somebody, to find somebody to come in
and tell you what you need to look for. We
don't want you here. It's your fault and the parents'
(31:19):
fault for not making their kids do their homework. It's
a lot of ingredients in the fault. I'll go on
with a quote. It focuses us. It focused us, focuses
us to get the right person for the job. End
quote President Valerie Davis, So Bob Nelson was a failure,
yet they gave him glowing reviews. President Unified aims, there's
(31:44):
what they do to make major improvements by twenty thirty. Woo,
all right, boy, they got to tell you that life
coach really put them on track, didn't they? Stellar? Stellar,
You're on high speed rail time. Here's what they're gonna do,
and this is their plan that they're going to give
to a superintendent, and if he can't deliver this, then
they don't want them here. They're going to increase the
(32:06):
rate of first grade proficiency and literacy from forty eight
percent as of June all the way up to eighty percent. Now,
I'm not making fun of eighty percent of first graders
knowing how to read. I just highly question that the
individuals that we got driving this clown car can even
pull that off. Here's another part of the plan, grow
(32:29):
on the number of elementary and middle school students with
underachieving reading test scores that demonstrate more than one year's
growth in standardized testing. That sounds like a Kamala Harris response.
Raising the percentage of students graduating from high school who
are considering college and career from forty three to sixty four. Again,
good goals, not against having goals. I just laugh like
(32:54):
you act like if you stay how you currently are,
that this could even be achieved. Interim Superintendent Missy her
who they told us. It wouldn't be fruitful to come
on and have a conversation about having trans closets and
lying to the parents. Yeah, I didn't want to have
that conversation. That wouldn't be fruitful. She's excited their district
(33:15):
has first ever goals. Her quote, how long has she
been there? She was Bob Nelson's sidekick. But she's excited
the district now has first ever goals. They've never come
up with out at goals. So that's the problem. That's
why we're the worst school district decided the Mississippi behind Detroit,
(33:35):
because we just didn't have leadership that had goals. Superintendent
missed to her interim superintendent, Missy her, that's what we've
been saying is the problem. She said, We're a district
that does a lot of things, so we had to
make a decision and identify things we're going to focus on. Okay,
(33:57):
what does that even mean? We are a district that
does a lot of things. Trevor, what do you do
on the weekend? A lot of things? All right, go
write a book report on what I do on the weekend.
He said, he does a lot of things, and we
don't know what that means a district that does a
lot of things. Well a lot of the things that
(34:17):
you do have us being the worst school district this
side of the Mississippi. So they had to make a
decision and identify things we're going to focus on.
Speaker 6 (34:26):
Ah.
Speaker 1 (34:26):
Good, So yeah, we've reached the point they're finally figuring
out what to focus on. Good. Miss her You've been
there how many years, and you're excited. You got your
first goals and now you're really gonna focus one hundred
thousand dollars contract and consultant Council of the Great City Schools.
That's WO. That's who they're tapping into the wisdom of
(34:49):
They needed the help. We don't pay them enough. They
needed one hundred thousand dollars counselor from the Council of
the Great City of Schools Davis. Trusty Davis said, the
board's on track to hire superintendent. Are you ready by
the end of the school year. They're going to hire
a research term, get a subcommittee, narrow it down. Our
(35:16):
kids deserve better parents, we deserve better
