Chris Pratt, joins us, Hey, Chris, how are you?

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Hey? Hey guys, good morning. How you doing.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Do we read this right? Is this going to be
the first live music on Lark Street in a decade?

Speaker 2 (00:17):
No, okay, somebody got that wrong. That's that's a false media.
I don't know where that came from. It's been a while,
but it hasn't been ten years.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Well I will, I will tell you. I don't want
to get I don't want to throw anyone under the bus,
but it is uh new Channel ten where I got yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. Don't throw them under the bus.
But let's throw him under the bus.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
All right. But this is cool. This is a free
show on Saturday. Tell us about it.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
This is a free show. We need live music back
on Lark Street, whether it's been ten minutes or ten years.
And I own the property there, and I have a
pretty good sized a lot, about almost a half acre,
And I said, you know what, if the city's not
going to put this together, then I'm going to put
one together and include some of the businesses man, because
we need it. Lark Street is is it is just

(01:06):
taking it on the chin over and over lately, and
it's got to stop, you know. Overall.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
So Albany Distilling Company one of the sponsors New Scotland Spirits,
a bunch of people got together to put this on.
So how's how's it going to work? How's the setup work?

Speaker 2 (01:22):
So what we're doing is we're gonna have a stage
in the back of the lot. We've got four bands.
We've got a tribute bands. First band, CC Smokes is
going to do a tribute to funk and soul music.
We've got Hot Cousins, which I love that name, Hot Cousin.
It reminds me of like Star Search. Remember they'd have
those bands Hot Property.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
It reminds me of my Hot cousin Melanie Jus Crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
So we got Hot Cousin's going to be doing eighties music,
and then we got Road Soda Pop, which is gonna
be doing nineties rock. And then of course the headliner
is Super four hundred. Man. Those guys are awesome and
now gets that those guys are pros.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
So this is this is a free show. But you
got it? Can I get a beverage over there?

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Yes, you can. It's a free show. We're gonna have
caned package beer and Seltzer's selling outside. Deaker Senni is
one of our big sponsors. Also, there's gonna be food available.
We're gonna have cornhole, We're gonna have tons of giveaways,
Northern Lights, the Dispensary is gonna be there with some
good stuff. Yeah, it's really exciting. We've got a lot
of a lot of people that are just excited that

(02:28):
music is coming back to Larstree. And also that day
they just announced there's gonna be all kinds of acoustic
music on large Street, so people can venture out of
our lot and go do that in between bands or
whatever they want to do. And it looks like it's
gonna be a beautiful day. So you know, it's again.
I just want to reiterate the city of Albany has
really taken it on a chin. You know, it annoys me.

(02:48):
I'm driving down sevent eighty seven there is a billboard
it says Schenectady and nothing against Schenectady. I love Schenectady,
but come on, let's let's Aubany needs to just come
back and be like, we've got a lot to offer
and Lark Street is one of the best areas to
do that.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
It's Chris Pratt from a Lark Street tavern and behind
Lark out loud. Do you work with Jesse? Jesse's always
complaining about love Jesse. I love Jesse the sheriff. He's
always he's pretty, he's pretty vocal, not complaining. He's vocal
at the local government. Are you right there with him?

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Listen? Jesse is the crier that is in the wilderness screaming.
And you know what, I agree with a lot of
what he's saying. And I'm glad that's someone speaking up
and saying it because it needs to be said. And
uh yeah, he's been a huge supporter of this New
Scotland spirits and quite honestly, guys, you know what most

(03:40):
of his product he sells is that farmers' markets and
he doesn't do a lot in the bars. But he
stepped right up the minute I went to him. He
threw in a good chunk of money and said, I
want to get behind this. I believe in Lark Street.
I believe in the businesses pulling together and doing this
and not waiting on the city, and we're hopeful that
the city will see this as an opportunity to utilize
and work together with us so that we can do

(04:02):
this again next year. That's the plan. Give us some times.
I mean, the first bands on it one is that
one things are everything getting going one o'clock. One o'clock.
The first band, CC smokes, we're gonna move up the line.
We're gonna do like seventies and eighties with Hot Cousin.
I gotta say it like that and roade soda pop
with the nineties rock and then agat Zepp's gonna finish
this off. And by then his sun's gonna be down.

(04:24):
We're gonna have to stage lit up and some haze,
and I hope you guys, both of you can make it.
We'd love to have you.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
I was on Lock Street yesterday. I'll get there Saturday, man.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
I come I come with I come with hate.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Hey listen, I hope you'll give you get some business
maybe from the Sandler Thorough Good shows tonight.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Yeah, great point.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Chris Pratt from the Lock Street tavern. Thanks for the time,
good luck man you.

Speaker 2 (04:44):

guys are great. O'll be there. Quinny Cantar picks one
of six
