David, retired wrestler veteran actor, got a new movie coming
out called The Perfect Gamble. You played, Charlie. Thanks for
the time this morning. How you doing this movie looks good?

Speaker 1 (00:12):
I'm doing good. Thank you so much. It was a
fun movie to make.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
You played kind of a tough guy, aren't you, David,
like tougher, tougher than normal in my opinion, Well.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Definitely tougher than normal. But yeah, he's a It's about
two friends, Charlie and Felix. Felix played by Danny A
the director, and they get in some trouble with the law,
have to serve their time, and when they get out,
they decided to start an illegal underground casino in the

country of Georgia. So in the country Riverah, yeah, sounds out.
They find out the Russian mob is not too happy
about it, so we get rupped up a little. We
have to sort of protect ourselves out there. Sonya played
by Daniella picked Tarantino starring role. So he's wonderful in it,

and I don't know if I could trust her or not.
Russian moms after and all this stuff happens, but it's
a fun you know, adrenaline no more.

Speaker 3 (01:21):

I don't know if I'm that awesome at it, but
I can get lucky once in a while.

So, David, Dewey's dead, which was really hard for me,
by the way, even though there's like we're almost down
to the two screams after that, did it bother you
or because they wrote you out?

Speaker 4 (01:58):
They kind of wrote you out of the movie, right,
the franchise.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Well, they sent me this script and I was excited
that they were doing another Scream and it was the
first one since West had passed away Wes Craven. And
so I'm reading the script and I'm like, Wow, Jewey's
got a great role in this one. And then I
get to that part and I'm like, oh, now, and
I go to the end of it. He doesn't come back,
but he usually does.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
I know.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
And I was like, Wow, here's my I was pretty upset.
I'm still pretty.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Upset about here's my idea, some sort of like I
think alien versus Predator. But we got Dewey from Scream
and Freddy Prince Junior from I Know What You Did
last Summer and somehow they come together on a small
island up that goes to New England.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
It's David Rcady here on Picks one. I was six.
I've always been a fan of you, David, but I
became more of a fan once I watched that Pee
Wee Herman documentary, which was fascinating. I didn't know you
were like a port in them for Peewee after the
fit hit the shand what was your relationship with Peewee?

Speaker 1 (03:04):
I love Paul if we was incredible. We met on
Buffy the Vampire Slayer and became lifelong friends. She told
me when we were on the set. He said, listen,
I'm turning you into a vampire. That means friends for eternity.
I was like, oh my god, thank you so much.
And we were a r and yeah, he told me

(03:27):
really sweet. Toward the end of his life, he was like, David,
I've been going over all this, all these moments in
my life in this documentary, and you were there for
all of these really little moments. I was like, Oh,
that means the world to meet Paul. So yeah, I
have a really great friend and be able to be there,
and he was such an inspiration to me and such

(03:48):
a visionary And I think about him all the time.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Did you because he was so private, did you know
he was sick?

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Yeah? You did? You did?

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Handful people?

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Maybe handful people did? I would like take him to
his appointments and stuff.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Oh wow, wow?

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Yeah? What about what about Courtney? How's the relationship with her?

Speaker 1 (04:14):
She's awesome. We have a twenty one year old daughter, Coco.
She's directing the film right now on an incredible film
with my sister, Patricia's Arquet is starring in it. So yeah,
we have a wonderful, wonderful friendship and co parenting relationship.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Good.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
But then you know you've been remarried for about ten
years now.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Right, Yeah. I have an incredible wife, Christina Arkad. We
have two young boys together, Charlie Guss have a farm
and that's what my day to day is for, like,
you know, looking after these animals.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
David Arquette. You mentioned your sister Patricia. She is awesome
in the Murdos Murdoch series on Hulu.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
You watching it, I've heard that. I haven't seen it yet.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
I really really good. Man. She just got killed in
the last episode, just got shot episode. Well, we all
saw a trial.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
What's Thanksgiving like at the house?

Speaker 1 (05:12):
That's funny. Yeah, it's like explaining his true crime.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Like weird characters, So do you see Do you see
them all the time?

Speaker 3 (05:24):
Like? Do you guys get together for the holidays?

Speaker 4 (05:25):
We Rosanna and Patricia and yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
We typically try to get together for the holidays. It's
kind of hard, we're all sort of different places in
the country. But I love when I get to see him.
We actually all met when she was in Atlanta filming
that movie.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Man, do you do like a secret Santa? Too? Who
you get? Who'd you get this year? David?

Speaker 1 (05:48):
We're to do a secret Santa? I mean, pre usually
just either do something small for each other or nothing
at all, or share to support their charities.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
We're nice.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
The world loves David, our cat. I swear to that
they love you. They all love you, and they root
for you, and they want you to succeed. And continue
to do well. And it's always a pleasure having you
on the program.
