so another Discovery show as well.

Bigfoot took her? And then I also moved over to
the Netherlands, so I think that also it should have
a bit of an issue. But god, yeah, I went
over and started doing this.

I had a theory that and rightly so this theory
that you hated Phil Torres because he was such a
pain of the ass.

Oh my gosh, no, Jilla and I are like best friend.

Yeah, from the eighties. Yeah, that's like a missing person's case.

Huge Bigfoot story. This is I don't know this story.
A lot of people don't know this story.

It's I think it kind of happened when Yeah, I mean,
I feel like if you were into true crime, it
bubbles up eventually you do run into it. I'd seen
it a couple of times when I was looking and
researched it a bit even before the show, when I
was looking for podcast information and whatnot. And I think
it just hit during a time, especially in the eighties

where Bigfoot was kind of at the forefront of all
the pop culture in everybody's mind, like Harry and the
Henderson's had just come out. You know. This guy in
town was known as the local Bigfoot guy, and he
would take teenagers and other people up into the woods
to show them where he thought these bigfoot hotspots were.

And then he took Teresa up there one time and
she never came back, and his excuse to the police
was that Bigfoot had come and she had run off
with Bigfoot. He changed his story every once in a while,
but that the Bigfoot involvement seemed to be the commons
a nominator throughout all of the different variations that he
give police.

So this is this a Bigfoot took or is this
a true crime? This is true crime not a Bigfoot story.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Right, It's both.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
It really truly is both. It's a combo. It really is.
The police let this guy go for an essentially under
this story that Bigfoot had been involved, and there were
members of the town that believed it.

There were other eyewitnesses that had gone up into that
same area with him during other times that also said
they saw Bigfoot.

Let's be honest with the Sierra Mountains like this is
this is Bigfoot Central, Like people are very passionate up
there where this went down. So I can see that
the air of belief leaning towards at.

or be suspect number one obviously, is he still alive?
He's not.

He ended up passing away, so he was never if
he was involved, he was never brought to justice.
