Speaker 1 (00:00):
So I think there's a big difference depending on how
this cat was killed by this Weimo driver Weymo car, driverless,
driverless Weymo car, Like did people see it? Like the
reaction is going to be dependent on how it happened.
I'm trying to whittle down exactly the details what happened
to this cat.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
If you missed the story, There's a cat, a bodega
cat that hangs out in San Francisco. It's a name
KitKat right dates.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Called the Mayor sixteenth Street. Those kinds of cats.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Well, yeah, people are now in an uproar against Weimo
and they've had a big memorial to this cat because
it got run over the other day.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
So, I guess reportedly sitting in front of the Weimo
vehicle for several seconds, KitKat was sitting there and then
it began to move. The car began to move, but
as the car pulled away from the curb, Kitcat then
walked under the vehicle more and the right rear tire
ran over Kitcat, and witnesses said that they called three
one one to make a complaint that the did not

(01:00):
slow down or attempt to even avoid the cat, and
that it was driving faster than expected for a busy street.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
I got it pulled away from the curve, though, what
do you mean? I thought the car pulled away from
the curve.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
So well, yeah, I mean, but afterwards it said that
that was a complaint that the autonomous computer doesn't have
any soul.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
They tried to save that. I think we knew that. Yeah,
they tried to. Now we're feeling it save the kit
cat cat. They picked it out a local local bartender
picked up and rushed. It's awful, but that's what you do.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
It sucks, man.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
I just wonder if anything would have been different if
I was driving where the cat was hanging out, if
you know.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Yeah, because you probably would have come out of the bodega,
seen the cat there, and dad did a little extra
to look see at least.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Is it possible my combustion engine would have scooted the
cat and this driver was taxes.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
And incredibly great point canter. I didn't wonder to consider
that that the cat never knew was coming, because it didn't
make any sound a chance.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Wow, be damn, this is no joke. Though they are
now they want to vote now, it's like you're in
that area. If they want to have these cabs or not.
Not everybody wants these caves rolling around.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
This is okay to throw all our energy into this
right as a country into the kit cat did kit
Cat way.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
A Moment's good? You know? I remember the whole thing
for the grill things.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Will to make sure I stay balanced here, and we
had to over overdone.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Was it last year? We like that little wet hippo
you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Oh, I loved a little wet boys tippo thing.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
So there's a couple of them, aren't there. This year
it's KitKat. Yeah, that's cool.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
