Bill Keegan was a Port Authority Lt. on 9/11 and was Night Ops Commander of the WTC Recovery. In 2007, he founded Heart 9/11, which draws together 9/11 first responders and family members who have since responded to 362 disasters in 16 states and 6 countries. Bill continues this work despite struggling with a stage 4 9/11 cancer.

September 7th will be the 35th year for the Susan Komen breast cancer run/walk in Central Park. Lina Aguilon is the Development Director of Komen NYC. She says Komen’s fundraising over the years has led to huge developments in the fight against breast cancer, including genetic testing and targeted treatments for stage 4 breast cancer.
