for the weather. It's wet in the east for New
Year's Eve, isn't it?

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Yeah, yeah, it sure is. There are some bright spots,
but I would call today a good summer's day for
much of the country. We've got strong solely many areas.
It's been really windy and rainy. Here in Wellington, for example,
we're expecting to see strong southwesterly winds over Northland, Auckland

(01:01):
and corimandle today and rain in the east. It has
been raining quite a lot for the likes of for example,
this morning and overnight. But it is there is an
improving trend. Yeah, and the place to be today is
really the west coast of the South Island, which is
looking really great.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
How's Queenstown, Wonnica looking That's a big party time place,
isn't it, aren't they?

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Yeah, yeah, they sure are. For Queenstown, it looks like

mostly fine with twenty two.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
How's New Years Day looking across the country.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Yeah, it is looking good for a lot of places.
We've still got these southerlyes, but they are weakening, so
it shouldn't be too windy. But we'll still have showers
along the east coast of the North Island. Maybe the
Lower North Island should be mostly fine. Over the Upper
North Island showers sort of Canterbury Marlborough, but pretty good

(02:08):
for the rest of the South Island. I reckon.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, good stuff. I'm pleased to hear that, because right
now in christ Sich it's miserable. Hey, Hoardeth, we really
