Speaker 1 (00:02):
Oh man, the injuries continue to pile up, and it
really is affecting most people because I mean, there are
so many different injuries happening in fantasy these days, so
that's brutal. And on top of it, now the bye
weeks are here, so we have to adjust for so
many different things. Plus we got to get into really

(00:22):
bad trade offers. All In this week's episode of Fantasy
Freaking Football, it's.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Time to review your fantasy teams. Here down, your.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Commissioners, it's time for Fantasy freakin' football. Oh man.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
I feel like this probably happens every year, but for
some reason, every year, I feel like this is the worst.
This seems like the worst year for big names going
down injuries. Uh, it's just all over the place, and
they're crazy, they're not stopping. And I know it happens
every year, but like like last year, if you drafted
Christian McCaffrey last year number one overall or whatever, and

(01:04):
you just go, well, that's great, I lost him for
most of the season and this and that you know,
it's it's terrible. Thor you've been hit worse with injuries
than anybody in the league that I've seen so much far.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
And now in all my leagues, but the first the
one league that I'm in the last place, and it's insane. Yeah,
I got Burrow done for the year, Neighbor's done for
the year. Jayalen Warren goes out at six twenty five
in the morning, and I don't wake up to take
him out of my spot.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Oh, you weren't up.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
No, I wasn't, especially because Adam Schefter tweeted the night
before that he was going to play. And then Bron
Bauers hasn't been the same since his knee injury. And
then there's somebody else I'm missing too, and it's just
like Jwan Jennings can't stay healthy. That's my whole team,
I mean, and I'm owing four and now like Trey
Benson's done for the year and Bucky Irvin's got a

(01:51):
spring foot. I have those two in my other league,
and I'm just like, oh my god.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
My flies. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Yeah, in one league, I'm killing it. I'm in first place,
doing great here in the last place, and uh, the
other my OG league, I'm up and down every week.
Made a terrible decision where I had a gut feeling
about Alvin Kamara was taking on your giants.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
And then I had this good gut feeling about that.
Oh no, they were taking on the bills and then
I and I was like, oh, Kamara is gonna go off,
and of course he doesn't. And then I had a
bad feeling about uh Javonte Williams, and I ended up
benching him and putting in Kamara, which was the biggest
mistake ever.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
The whole time you're just watching it.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Why did I do that? I was so stupid. And
so I'm up and down in that league. And then
in our work league, that's the one where I'm snake bit.
I've lost both c. D. Lamb and Tyreek Hill. Now
I had both of those guys, so both of my
wide receivers are done. And so I'm just like, okay,
Now what I have like Michael Pittman, who has been

(02:59):
okay actually, so he's actually.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Done all right? In that league, I have Juwan Jennings.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
I have like guys, you know, bodies, but they're not Oh,
I have Jerry Judy, like you know, so just guys
that aren't really going to give you that much.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
They're not ones. You just hope that they have a
big game, right and so and that's where I'm at,
and I'm I'm owing four in the league. You're in
first in and then I'm two and two in our
work league three and one another league in the three
and one league, I've had a couple of injuries and
guys on bye. So I'm just at that week where
it's like, Hey, I have to start these guys. Maybe
I get lucky, that could happen.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
That's it. You could get lucky.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
And then you get Romeo Dobbs this pass on day,
get three touchdowns.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
You hope like the other guys in the same boat,
like maybe you got somebody, maybe you got some injuries.
That's the only thing you can do. It's just it's
it's survival at this point.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
That's fantasy. The reason why I've won two leagues the
last two years is because my top three picks didn't
get hurt. Right, it's a war of attrition. If your
top three picks don't get hurt, or they do get hurt,
but like ceedee lamb, they're going to come back. They're
not out for the year. You're okay. Once you start
losing guys for the year, you're screwed.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
That.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Yeah, and also, you made key moves at the right time. Yeah,
you know, and that does help if you make a
pickup and all of a sudden, this guy comes out
of nowhere and you're like, oh man, I'm glad I
picked that guy up and that helps.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Yeah, Like, like, I know, he's only had one game,
but Woody marks the Texans running back right because what's
his name? I forgot the coach of the Texans his name,
I see his face, I forgot his name. He came
out and said, hey, we're gonna get him more touches.
So hey, if you've stashed Woody Marx, he may who knows,
he may become like a top fifteen running back this
year in fantasy. That would be wild, and next year

(04:35):
he was a fourth round pick. Maybe he has some
good games averages ten fifteen points a game.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Oh, clearly, Nick Chubb, they're moving on.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
They're moving off from exactly and they have no one.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Else and maybe eventually Joe Mixon comes back. You know,
you might steal some catches or carries or whatever, but
we'll see what ends up happening with him. So yeah,
it's it's a tough time for everybody right now. We're
all kind of going through it because I don't. If
you're injury free right now, good on you. Yeah, I've
seen guys that have literally all these guys that that

(05:03):
were have season ending injuries, like literally they got Joe Burrow,
they have Molik Neighbors, they have you know, all these
guys like literally all on the same team, and you're
just like, I don't know how, Like, you know, they
have James Connors, they have all the Well, it's.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Like brutal, the one thing I will never do again.
And I stuck to it last year and for this year,
I didn't stick to it. Is last year I went
running back heavy in all my leagues because yes, there's
only a few teams that have top running backs and
then there's a ton of just guys. But like, I
would rather have so much depth at starting running back
and grab lesser receivers because running backs get hurt insane

(05:39):
amount and like and now and one, I'm just completely screwed.
I'm starting like Ali Gordon, like I have no running backs.
Like it's just running backs are just so important. If
you have like five on your you have like five
running backs and two get hurt. This this guy's not
the end of the world. You know.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Yeah, it's it's a tricky time right now, and like
I said, especially the bye weeks here, now it's gonna
get been weird. So I understand that you're gonna try
and make some moves and if you go, I'm not
just specifically talking to you, I'm just in general, you're
gonna have to try and make moves. What what you
don't want to do is be stupid and make trade

(06:17):
offers that are clearly dumb.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
And you just make these.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Offers and you okay, well, I'm gonna ask for the
world and I you know, and I'm gonna give you
basically nothing in return those those kind of trades. First
of all, if you have a decent commissioner and are
in a decent league, they're never going to let that
go through. So why are you even making that offer?
And number two, unless you're taking advantage of somebody that
doesn't understand the game, then why why would you make

(06:42):
that trade offers Thor has been gofered like three of
the worst trade offers I think I've ever heard where
it's like insulting, you know what I.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Mean, And it's like it's like, come on, dude, So
I offered this guy. I offered him Puka. No, I
offered him Alik before he was hurt, the leak, Neighbors
and brock Bowers for I think, and I think I
threw in No. I think I or it was Puka
and brock Bowers because I wanted to keep my leak,
because the leak's my guy, and and I and I
offered him in return he was gonna give me like

(07:14):
Devon Hean, George Pickens and like I think another and
Nico Collins. And I felt like that was a fair
trade because Puka is the best guy in fantasy right now.
He's average and almost thirty a game. He's having an
insane career. And but I knew a same season. I
knew I wasn't. I knew I wasn't gonna get all that,
But I just wanted to start the conversation. Maybe he
drops Nico Collins and and it gets me like an

(07:36):
extra running back or something. So he comes back and
he says he wants Pooka and Neighbors to top five receivers,
and he'll give me George Pickens, T Higgins and Dak Prescott.
And I'm just like, come on.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
Dude, So two A's for a couple of bees and
a quarterback that anybody could have.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Anybody could have a quarterback. And I know Dak's putting
up some good numbers, but he's not you know, Josh Allen. Right,
So I'm just like, come on. So so then Neighbors
gets hurt. So I don't do that trade. I'm all right,
I'm not gonna do that. Neighbors gets hurt, and somehow
he offers me a worst trade.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
Now he he wants he's trying to take advantage.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Yeah, Now he wants Pooka, the number one guy in fantasy,
and Brock Bowers, who I still believe in.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
I still he's the double b He's a double bud.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
You know he wasn't in for their first ten plays.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Yeah, they scripted I think the first places, and what
are they doing? I don't know, he's your best player?

Speaker 2 (08:30):
You're doing They had one hundred and twenty five catches
last year.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
So he offered me Bowers. I have Bowers and Pooka,
and he offered me George Pickens, T Higgins and Darren Waller.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
Does he not know that T Higgins is kind of
worthless right now? He's not worth what he gets.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Not worth anything, and he's not worth anything. Also, I
need running backs, so he has h On Hall and
like and Tutton the guy from you don't throw one
of those guys in there.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Yeah, one of them. That's that's a pretty terrible offer.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Like, come on, bro, Yeah, Pooka by himself is better
than two of those receivers. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Like if you would have said Puoka for Pickins and
t Higgins, Okay, maybe maybe because you're getting two for one,
but still they don't Their production doesn't add up to
what Puka can.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
No, So that's why, in my eyes, if you want
to throw at me, okay, So I think I responded
with and and also he remember he wanted Bowers too.
So if if you're gonna give me, if I if
I'm gonna give you Bowers and Puka, I want Pickens,
Higgins and h Hn like, you gotta give me your
top guy, Like I gotta get a top guy out
of this. If I'm gonna give you my two top guys,
well I wouldn't.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
I wouldn't do that either if I was that guy.
Three for those guys, now I give you two, I
would consider two, but three is too much.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
But I need, I need, I need a running back,
Like I'm not gonna I don't need Higgins. Yeah, you
just don't want him anymore. And also I'm not on.
Also I'm not a moron. He doesn't he doesn't have
Joe Burrow anymore, dude, Like he's put He has even
touch five points in the last two weeks.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
Yeah, I don't understand stuff.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
Yeah, it is. It's people try to take advantage.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
It's just like, why can't I like trading? It's fun?
But like, why why can't we just do fair trades?

Speaker 3 (10:11):
Man?

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Like why can't we.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
Do the fun of that? You know? Yeah, I get it.
So you people trying to make moves, man, I get it.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
I I kind of am may be forced to trade
Poku Nakula like it sucks, but I don't know what
else to do at this point. He's the only guy
I have. And you just need more bodies, need more bodies, man.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
Yeah, I understand.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
All right, If you got questions, hit us up. Everybody
sort of does right now. You can hit us up
on X at the show thor at the show Eddie,
or you can email us your questions as well. We'll
try to answer him every week. Got a question at
wide receiver. This guy says, I got DK metcalf on
by this week, torn who to start between Jamison Williams

(10:52):
and Jalen Wattle, Who do you guys like?

Speaker 2 (10:54):
I mean, Jalen wattles number one guy there.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Now, that's that's the But Miami's offense is pretty sporadic. Yeah,
that's the only issue. But you're right, Wattle is number
one there.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Now, Panthers just got destroyed last week by the Falcons. Right,
it was the Falcon.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
Who destroyed Panthers last week.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
It was the Sorry I'll find.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Out Falcons played the Commanders. Oh yeah, they were shut
up by a new Matrons Patriots.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
At forty two to thirteen, and they put up a
lot of points on him. So I don't know what
Panthers team's going to show up because the week before
the Panthers won thirty to h.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
So it's like, oh, it's ridiculous, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
But Jamison Williams is on an incredible offense playing a
team that has clearly quit in the Bengals so.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
And their defense sucks their deep.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
So if you want to play it safe, so with
Jameson Williams.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
Right, when you're watching the Lions, you go, there are
four or five plays a game where they just throw
the ball deep for Jamison and go go get it. Now,
sometimes he misses him, like last week he was wide
open a couple of times and they just didn't get
him the ball and it didn't happen, or there was
a penalty or something like that where you just go, oh, man,
those are if I'm a Jamison Williams, That's that's hard.

(12:01):
That's a hard pill to swallow. And then you know
they're just loading the ball to amar st Brown and
you just go, what about the other guys? You know,
So it can be a little tough when it seems
like it's only a couple of guys in that offense.
But you got to stay true to your guys like
Sam Laporta. I have Sam Laporta. At some point, I'm
they got to get him the ball in the end zone.
That's his bet, that's his bread and butter. So I

(12:23):
feel okay about that same thing with Jamison. He's going
to go off. He's a guy that will catch four
balls for you know, one hundred and eighty yards.

Speaker 3 (12:31):
He can do that easily.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
So it's coming for sure, wattles it. I'm just still
a little fearful of that offense. I just don't believe
in them. I just don't, you know. I'm not a big,
too a guy, and so if I'm flipping a coin here,
because that's kind of where you're at, I think I
would rather go for the boom rather than the boom
or bust in Jameson Williams and hope he has a

(12:53):
big game.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Yeah, I agree. Also, Wattle's condiment a disappointment. I mean
he was like he was a top ten pick. Yeah,
and he's not a top ten receiver.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Well, now the tyreeks out, Maybe maybe he turns it around.
I don't know, we'll see flex spot question. Do you
like Mark Andrews, who will probably be without Lamar Jackson
taking on Houston. Or Chase Brown versus Detroit who Chase
Brown has done nothing.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
He's done nothing, Oh my god, honestly neither. I mean,
the Texans have their offense.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Their defense is really good.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Isn't great, but their defense is really really good. I
guess I would just go with Chase Brown just because
you're gonna get He's a running back, so you're gonna
get the touches.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Yeah, I don't believe in tight ends that often in.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
A flex spot.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Yeah, you're really against.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Well, it just depends, like if you're talking about really
high tier I just some reason drafted two really good
tight ends like Trey McBride and I don't know wherever. Yeah,
George Kittle, Okay, you can.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Maybe you had Trey McBride and Tyler Warren.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
New k you could consider that. Yeah, but Mark Andrews
is again slowing slow start. Now the Ravens are gonna
be without their quarterback. Could they, you know, dump off
patches to Mark? Absolutely they could. But I'm gonna go
always go with a guy who I know is gonna
guaranteed get catches and touches, and that's gonna be the
running back. So I would assume that the Bengals could

(14:10):
turn it up a little bit this week. I mean,
Detroit's defense isn't great, so you gotta imagine Chase Brown's gonna.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
Get the ball. I would go with him. He's a
safer option.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
Yeah, and I don't know if this is gonna happen,
but this could be a rock bottom game for the Ravens.
They're playing a Texas team that finally got to win
that needs another win. They don't have Lamar, they have
a ton of injuries on defense. This could be one
of those games where the Ravens just kind of fall
apart a little bit, because I mean, they'll be one
in four they lose this game, So I'd stay away
from that. I'm staying away from the Ravens unless I
have Dereck Henry.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Yeah, it's definitely a nerve nervous times for a Ravens fans.
Suriously wide receiver problem here it says I have BTJ.
Is that Brian Thomas Dorry call him BTJ?

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Now, yes, I call him awful.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Last season BETJ, Stefan Diggs, Za Flowers and Troy Franklin.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
And I'm leaning.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Towards Flowers and BTJ, but both have been inconsistent.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Which two do you like? I mean Troy all of
the Franklin not even he's not even in the mix.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
I know he had one game where come on, give
me a break. I guess I know.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
You and you were just saying you're staying away from
the Ravens. But Stefan Diggs has been.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
Yeah, I know you're thinking all Stephan Diggs, he had
one hundred and like ten yards last week. That's great.
I have to start him because I have no one else.
So I mean, that's my hope, revenge game, that's my
hope team. That's my hope. But I don't see it.
But Drake May is really good. But uh, I'll maybe
maybe you stick with Zay Flowers and they just try

(15:41):
to get him the ball.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Obviously, Brian Thomas is he's your number one pick.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
You have to. He's been terrible, but he could still
get it.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
I get it. But you've got to stay with your guy,
and so he's a no brainer. And then I'm I'm
gonna go with the guy that I think is better,
and that's say Flowers. Right now, you just hope he
gets in the end zone.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Maybe they do an ending around or some screens because
he's so fast and shifty. Yeah, and they just have
to get the ball quick.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
YEA tough, tough go but I would go Flowers and BTJ,
which I guess is what we're saying now.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
Final question says I need a start at flex in
a p PR league. Got a few guys on buy
and I are need you guys help big time. Who
should I start between Romandre Stevenson, one Dale Robinson or
Malik Washington.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
The heck is Malik Washington.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
He's place for the Dolphins. And I saw Matthew Berry
yesterday and I'm.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
Just again because Tyreek Hill goes out, We're just gonna
is going to go off like I wanted.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
There's a there's a little part of me that wants
to say one is gonna get a lot of targets.
They don't have. They have one Dell and Slayton, that's it.
But I just don't trust the Giants.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Even when Malik was in there and was out, it
wasn't like they were tossing the ball up. You know,
Dart looked good, but I wouldn't go.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
You know, on eleven yards right, the Giants offense is
going to be run, run, run, and then short passes,
So I wouldn't.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
I would stick with there is actually having a kind
of surprisingly good season.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
I remember when everyone thought he was done well and
it was it was Henderson's Henderson.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
No, I mean, I'm sticking with Remandre. To be honest,
I agree.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
All right, let's get to our starts and sits for
the week. At quarterback, who's your start?

Speaker 2 (17:21):
We mentioned it earlier the Lions. They're gonna put it
on the Bengals because the Lions showed no mercy. It's
at the Bengals quit on Monday on Monday night. It
was obvious.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
And now people are barking and it gets not good there.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
I don't understand why they thought Jake browning. I know
he had three games last year that they won. If
I was the Bengals and I want to save my season,
you got to bring in a Russell Wilson as a
quarterback like you got you Kirk Cousins. They could at
least throw it up to Higgins and Chase you have the.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
You know, make them make a move for Shador sounds
clearly don't want them.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
We gotta throw something at.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
The wall, Like why are they sticking with Jake brown
It ain't working. So I'm anyway, Jared Goff is my
starter this.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
It makes sense.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
My start this week is a guy that I've stayed
away from. I don't like anybody in this offense other
than Garrett Wilson and uh, you know, it's just the
Jets are terrible, and but I think that justin Fields,
now that he's back, I saw a little bit of life.
I'm like, is Justin Fields could he have a good
week against the terrible Dallas defense.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
You know what's crazy to me is I think Tyrod
Taylor is better. Probably I don't understand why they don't
play Tyrod, but because Dallas defense terrible, they can't stop anybody.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
Well, you saw, you know what the Jets offense did
week one, and they probably are hoping that again. And
I think this might be the week that that maybe
Justin Fields runs a couple of touchdowns too, something like that,
so that might help.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Who's your ship?

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Carson Wentz listen.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
I know he played well the first time. This past
week was a nightmare. I know they made it close,
but give me a break. Brown's defense is legit and
pretty good. They're gonna they're gonna come after him. I
think they're gonna play pretty conservative offense, same kind offense
that the Giants are gonna play, run pass options with
the Dylan Gabriel. Browns defense is gonna take care of
Carson Wins.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
Okay, my sit this week, he just is coming off
a very good performance in a very big week, but
totally different where we're gonna see bow knicks taking on
the Eagles. So, yeah, Bo Knicks, you can do that.
You know, that's great against the Bengals team that quit,
the team that quit, and and he looked good. I'm
not nothing against bow Knicks, but taking on the Eagles

(19:35):
is a different animal. Yeah, And so I just don't
think I like Bo. But I just don't think you're
gonna see the same kind of performance. You're not gonna
get three hundred yards at Philly a couple of touchdowns
like it. They're gonna be rabbit against him. So I
don't love Bo this week. Running back, who's your start?

Speaker 2 (19:49):
I'm all in on Woody Marks. I am all in
on Woody Marks.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
Oh boy.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
The Ravens cast out the run. They can't out really
anybody on off on defense. Look look what, look what.

Speaker 3 (20:01):
They I'd rather start Buzz light Year that.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
That's not funny.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
The Chiefs solid Disney that wasn't.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
The Chiefs offense is atrocious and they were able to
go up and down the field on the Ravens. I'm
telling you, I'm starting Woody Marks this week.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
With that because you picked him up.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Yeah, okay, wait till Woody goes for three, goes for
two fifty and three times.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
Three hundred get out all time.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
He breaks the record.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
My start this week is a guy that maybe you
picked up late in the draft and you stored him,
you stashed.

Speaker 3 (20:32):
Him like Woody Marks. Yeah, nobody picked him up.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Uh, or maybe you took a flyer on him, you
know after week one or two and we're just hoping
you see something. Well you actually seeing last couple of weeks.
The guy's finding the end zone. He's pretty good. I'm
talking about Quinjohn Judkins or the Browns. He's really This
was a little bit of a steal for some people
because you know.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
You didn't know.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
Yah, Samson smart didn't work.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
So Judkins, I actually like he's clearly their number one
guy there and again taking on the Viking. I don't
know what to make out of that game. I'm not
really sure, but I gotta imagine they're gonna run the football.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
Like you're saying they're in London. Yeah, they're gonna run
the football. It's gonna be a lot and because Dylan
Grabriels can fast and can move, so it's gonna be
a lot of run pass.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
Obvious misdirection stuff. So I like Judkins in the game,
who's your shit?

Speaker 2 (21:17):
I know, I said to we agreed to start this
guy earlier and that question. We had to start him
because it's just the situation. But if I have to,
if I didn't have to start him, I'm sitting Chase
Brown against the Lions. He has been a bust of
epic proportions because even when Joe Borrow was in, he
didn't do anything and he was like a tough first
round pick, second round pick. So I'm sitting Chase Brown

(21:40):
against the Lions.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
My sit this week is this. I mean, really, you
can sit anybody on the Titans. The Titans are the
worst team in football. They have been for weeks. So
Tony Pollard, I just know. I mean, he's snuck in
a touchdown, which was random, but you're just not gonna
see it.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Like I have to start him just because I don't
have another running back and he gets carries, but even
that is gonna stop soon because Taj Spears is coming back.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Yeah, and Arizona's better than you think. So I actually
think Tony Pollard isn't gonna be very good this week.
Wide receiver, who's your start?

Speaker 2 (22:09):
This guy is gonna get a big payday at the
end of the year. I'm talking about George Pickens against
the Jets. I don't know if Sauce Gardner is gonna
shadow him or not. Maybe maybe not, but he's the
number one guy until Ceedee Lamb comes back. He may
go a full half of out of target and then
all of a sudden, bang a couple passes. He did
that with the Steelers too, exactly.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
You know where he's got zero, the next thing you know,
he's got ten catches for one hundred and fifty yards.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
And say what you want. I'm not the cowboy fan,
but Dak Prescott's is a top quarterback in the league
in September October. Dak Prescott's phenomena.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
Yeah, so when it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter exactly
my start this week.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
We mentioned him last week.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
I really like all three of their wide receivers, so
I gotta kind of narrow it down and pick one.
But I'm gonna go with Keenan Allen this week against Washington.
I think that the Chargers are coming off an embarrassing loss.
They know that they want to rebound big in a
big way. So I think, you know, Justin Herbert is
gonna take over, and so Keenan Allen's gonna get it

(23:06):
find the end zone, Quohn Quinn. I mean he's been
phenomenal so far this year. You know McConkie or yeah,
a lot of McConkey, any of those guys, they're all
they're all good, and so I got to imagine, you know,
Keenan is gonna gonna have a field day as well.
So I like Keenan Allen this week. Who's your set?

Speaker 2 (23:23):
I said, this guy, he's tweeted out already that he's
unhappy even though they're four and oh a J.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
Brown.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
And not only is aj k not gonna get the
ball this week, he's gonna get to Patrick Sartan this week.
And Sir Tan is probably the best corner in the league.
So I don't think he's gonna get the ball. They're
gonna run like crazy. I'm saying that I wouldn't start
a J. Brown this week.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
Well, it's interesting because I feel like it's every other
week that the Eagles wide receivers actually do something. They get,
they get angry, and then they feed him the ball,
and then the next week they go back to what
they like doing, which is running the football. So this
may be a week where they feed him the football.
But I don't know.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
But I mean a secondary with That's why I'm.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
Like, so maybe DeVante Smith has a decent week or
something like that, But I mean it is one of
the weirder offenses.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
They have statistically one of the worst offenses in the league.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
In the league, which is crazy because Jalen Hurts can
throw it yeah if you let him.

Speaker 3 (24:18):
Yeah, but they just I don't know, it's one of them.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
And they have one of the best offensive lines in
the league.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
Yeah, And and A. J. Brown and DeVante Smith are
phenomenal wide receivers. Yeah, maybe the best duel in the league.
And they don't throw them the football because because they
don't only have to, you know.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
So it's tough.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
Uh my sit this week again, we mentioned it earlier
THO you were talking about it. Uh the Browns defense
is elite, and so I'm looking at and you know,
you were talking about the quarterback situation with Carson Wentz
not great. So I know he showed up big. And
if you had drafted Jordan Addison, You're like, oh, thank
god I got Jordan Edison. Look at the big week
he had. Yeah, that's all gonna come to screaching Okay,

(24:56):
sorry to say, Uh, you know they got to get
Justin Jefferson the otherwise, you know, what's the point. So
there's only so many mouths you can feed. And then
if you have Miles Garrett bearing down on you, it's
gonna be tough.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
Yeah. I just hate when teams have a guy like
Brock Bauers or Jefferson and they don't get them the ball.
You're not gonna win if you don't get your best
player of the ball. Like you have to find creative
ways at your best the ball. I believe my I
got Ko Kevin O'Connell. Boy, he will get Jefferson the ball.
And so yeah, I'm with you.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
So I just don't think Jordan Addison is gonna have
a good week this week. Tight end, who's your start?

Speaker 2 (25:29):
I'm going with Sam Laporta. He finally finds the end zone.
It's gonna be ugly in Cincinnati. I will be absolutely
stunned if this is I will be stunned. If this
is a fifteen point game. I think it's gonna be
more than fifteen. I think because the Lions are in
a team like the Lions do. I think the Lions

(25:50):
are the best team in the league. They're they're up there,
but they're not a team that you have to worry
about them having a lull, Like the Lions want to
kill everybody, So I don't. I think Dan Campbell has
that team where like it doesn't matter to pay. Yeah,
they're going in there like the Bengals are a Super
Bowl winner and they want to beat them.

Speaker 3 (26:05):
They're gonna stick the foot on their throats and really
put them out of.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Their misers exactly. Like that's the lines.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
It's a good mentality to have. So I got a
tail of two here with my starts and sits. My
start this week is a guy that you see is
doing much better this year at the tight end position
in Buffalo. Josh Allen has been finding Dalton Kincaid, you know,
and Knox really, but Kincaid it seems like it is target.

(26:32):
And so I like Buffalo this week against New England.
I know New England kind of showed up, but Buffalo
is elite, and so I like Dalton Kinkaid this week
as my start.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
Who's your sit?

Speaker 2 (26:43):
My sit this week is TJ. Hockinson. You went with
Jordan ass and I'm going with TJ. Howkinson. I don't
think they're gonna do anything against the Browns.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
I agree with you.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
So my tail of two teams is on the other
side of the bracket is New England. Hunter Henry has
been outstanding, and so if you kind of took a
flyer on Hunter Henry and have had to start him
last couple, maybe you had Kittle and then Henry's your
backup and put him in there. You've been doing great.
Hunter Henry has been great. He's been finding the end
zone and you know their targeting.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
Game this time.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
I think Buffalo is really going to put it on
New England. I really like Buffalo this week. I don't
like New England. I think Hunter Henry is gonna not
have a great week this week. So all right, let's
just all say a little prayer that no more injuries,
nobody get hurt this week, please, and hopefully you got
there get a win.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
