Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, here it is. I've been dreading this week since
the day of the draft. There everybody has one week
where everybody's on by for you and you have to scramble,
you have to figure it out. At the time of
the draft, you go, oh, you know whatever, I'll figure
it out by that week. Well, Week eight for me

(00:20):
is that week. I have everybody on bye and so
I had to make some moves, had to figure things out.
We have to talk about that, plus answer your questions
in this week's edition of Fantasy Freaking Football.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
It's time to review your fantasy teams.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Commissioners. It's time for Fantasy freaking Football. Well, how'd your
week go last week?

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Not great?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
At okay? Well that's not good.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
I won in one league, our work league, which was nice.
I went to h and seven in that week. I
just have no I have no players left. Everyone's heard.
I don't don't have Burrow, I don't have Bowers, I
don't have Puka, I don't have neighbors.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
I don't have Burrow, I don't have Nase Harris like
I by my team sucks. I have no one left.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
It is what it is like. I I'm trying. I
haven't quit like I picked up a couple of guys
I picked up, like the Colts defense. I picked up
like another tight end, like h Dalton Schultz was available,
so I picked him up, like I'm trying, you know,
I just there's no one left I have.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
You know, when you have all those injuries, there's nothing
you can do about it. It sucks.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
So and then in on the other league I'm in,
which I'm I was four and two in I was
down ten PPR. He had Christian McCaffrey left. I'm only
down ten and I have I'm on Ross Saint Brown,
Drake London and my tight end, George Kittle and my kicker.

(01:48):
So I'm like, I'm good one easy down ten, okay easy,
And it's Drake London and I'm on Ross Saint Brown.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Like he gets forty one from McCaffrey.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
And then I get what I get between London, Kiddle
and the kicker. I get like twenty, Well Kittle, Kittle
didn't catch a pass, Kit got zero, and then London
got trying to tell you he was my sin last week.
London got ten and the kicker out like twelve.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
That was it.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
That's brutal.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
That's a brutal and then I'm on raw ends up
getting like twenty I needed I needed thirty.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Yeah, so I got closer, but it just sucks. That's fantasy.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Yeah for me, I had a good week. I did
really well, and it helps because Cede Lamb's back I got.
I went all in on CD this year and our
one league that we're in together, I'm dominating in that league.
I'm killing it. I mean, my team is loaded, and
so I've been great in that league, and our work
league has been the opposite. I have, like you, I
have tons of injuries. I've lost like both of my

(02:49):
wide receivers. You know, CD was in that league, so
I hadn't had him in three four weeks or whatever
it's been. And so luckily with CD back, I'm back.
And so it's crazy how much one big I mean,
it was my first pick. So when you have your
first pick and you know he comes back, I mean,
it's a big deal. And so I'm starting to come
back now again. So that's a good thing. So things

(03:11):
are things are looking up for me. I'm doing pretty
well in most of the different leagues, but this week
is the week that I've been marked on the calendar.
I knew it was coming, but I'm like, what are
you going to do? Like, you know, I'm pretty good
about looking at bye weeks when I draft, like I know,
some people forget and then they're like, oh crap, I

(03:31):
have seven guys on by. You know, I'm like, well,
you kind of have to pay attention to that. I
get it. But then there are guys like I can't
pass up, Like I'm not going to pass up on
a really good player because they have a bye week
with somebody else, and I'll just I'll deal with it,
you know, I'll give up one week for you know,
having a great player. Well now I'm in that spot

(03:51):
because week eight is the week that I knew it
was going to get me, and so here I am
and now I'm scrambling. So I had to take a
look and see I have let's see one, two, three, four,
four guys on by this week. And you know, in
one league, it's it's not terrible because they are fringe

(04:13):
starters for me, like Zach Sharbonay, Like Seattle's on a
bye and I've been playing Sharbonay because I've had to.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
I don't really know who's gonna get the carry there.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
For he's a crazy touchdown vulture. Like they don't even
look at Walker anymore when it comes to the goal line,
which is great for me because I have sharbon Ay,
so that's good. But my big tight end, Trey McBride
is on by. The Cardinals are on by. The one
that's really gonna get me is the Rams are on by.
I went all in. I have Pooka in one league,

(04:42):
even though he's probably wouldn't play anyway. But Kyrin Williams
is my guy. He's my stud and he is I
have him in two different leagues and he is out.
So now I'm just like, all right, well, yeah, so
I got lucky and I was able to pick up
somebody released Kyle Pitts, who you know, I get it.
Kyle Pitts is up and down, up and down, but

(05:04):
I feel like he's starting to figure it out. And
Michael Pennix is he's a good quarterback and so he's
thrown to him quite a bit. Yeah, and so I'm like,
all right, well I have to get somebody. I mean,
I could have picked some random, you know, Joe Schmoe,
but I'm like, Kyle Pitts is there. I haven't to
take him. Yeah, so he's he's a guy that I'm
I've think.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
The problem with Michael Pennix is that if once he
gets pressure, he doesn't know what to do with it.
So but if he's on, he's on, the problem is
if he's not on, it doesn't look great.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
It's brutal.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
But but Kyle, but at least you know, Kyle Pitts,
you could get lucky.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Yeah, I mean if he can, if he can get
me seven eight points, at least it's better than.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
You know, some of these George Kittle.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Uh. And then in my other league, I have Sam
the Lions or another team like and you're probably gonna
deal with this too because you're on RO. So I
have Sam Lporter in that league. And again, luckily on
my bench I've had all season, Dallas Goddard and Dallas Carter.
He's up and down. Like he had two weeks ago.
I think he had like thirty points, he had a
crazy game, huge game, but he was on my bench.

(06:04):
You know, it is what it is. But he's I
feel solid with Dallas Goddard in there too, So I'm
putting things together and I'm trying to you know, figure out. Okay,
I got to start this guy, start this guy. I
don't have high hopes for this week because it's you know,
I just have too many guys on by. But you
never know, you never know, So we'll see what happens
here this week. If you have a question for us,

(06:26):
you can hit us up on email, or you can
hit us up on X at the show, Eddie at
the show, thor we'll get to your questions every week.
This question and speaking of tight ends, I was just
talking about tight ends. Got a tight end question for you.
PPR League. Had Jake Ferguson on my bench all year
and he's been going off lately. Do I start him

(06:46):
over Tucker Craft?

Speaker 2 (06:48):
I mean yeah, because Dak Prescott's Oh actually they're playing
the Broncos. No, I wouldn't, Okay, because as good as
Ferguson is, the Steelers defense is terrible this year. It's
shocking to see the Steelers have such a bad defen
I mean, look what Joe Flacco just did to them.
It's crazy and they're in Pittsburgh. But I think Tucker
Craft is one of the better tight ends in the league.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
He's he's been impressive so far. Because I know, people
were taking him like seventh, eighth round and I was like,
Tucker Craft, are you sure? But he's been good?

Speaker 2 (07:16):
And don't I know the Giants two tight ends both
had touchdowns against the Broncos. What the Giants offense did
of the Broncos. The Broncos hadn't given up any only
like what only like six big plays in the whole season,
and they gave up four to the Giants. Like the
Giants offense just figured them out. But I don't think
that they're gonna let that happen two weeks in a row.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Yeah, I mean, Jake has just been, you know, finding
the end zone. Dak has really been throwing him the ball.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
It's October. This is when Dak's the best.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
He's just like Tony Romo September, October, November, and then
around Thanksgiving Dak starts to tail off.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
A little bit.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
And don't see what happens this week. But yeah, I
was probably I would feel more comfortable with Craft. Yeah,
especially with matchup wise this week.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
For sure. That's why.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Yeah, this question says got some bye week issues. You're
telling me who should I start at my flex? R
J Harvey or Juwan Jennings.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Oh god. R. J. Harvey really doesn't get.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
He finally found the end zone.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Against the end zone. I'd probably go with Jawan Jennings,
but I don't know.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
It's been kind of shocking.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Either of them are pretty Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Kendrick Bourne has been the biggest beneficiary of Mac Jones
being in there. It seems like that's the only guy
he throws to. And Christian McCaffrey obviously, But Jawan Jennings,
he's due for a decent game. I know he's got
seventeen broken ribs, a broken foot, concussion and broken spine.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
You know these their injuries over there as I'm sorry,
George Kittle said he tore his hamstring off the bone
and he only missed four weeks.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
That doesn't make any sense. This happened at Dive Prescott
last day, miss the whole season.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Listen. They maybe have a magic elixir in that training
room or something. But I would definitely trust Juwan Jennings more. R. J. Harvey,
he's just not getting the touches. Jakie Dobbins is the
guy that I don't.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Think Jowan Jennings is gonna have a big game, but
I would trust him more because yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
He's not even really part of the offense yet. No,
you know, maybe maybe that touchdown lights him lights him
up a little bit, But I still I would take Juwan.
This is a just an interesting question. This question says,
can I trust T Higgins Now? I don't know if
I can continue to start him, But now with Joe
Flacco it seems like they've figured it out.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
I think you can, especially because of who they're playing
this week. You're gonna have sauce guard mashed up against
Jamar Chase, so they're gonna go to T Higgins. The
Jets defense is okay, not great. They can't stop the run,
so maybe a big Chase Brown game. But I think
you could start T Higgins because I mean, clearly Jake
Brown and couldn't throw the ball, so like now, at
least Joe Flacco can. So I'd start te Higgins this

(09:53):
week because of who they're playing.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Yeah, I mean, obviously i'd have to see the rest
of your lineup to see who else you have, But
I do think T Higgins. Now he has a quarterback
who can actually throw the ball. You're gonna he's gonna
throw it to them.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
And you're playing a bad team in the Jets. The
next week they're playing the Bears, and then I think
we have to have to have a buy. So so
the next two weeks, I start T Higgins.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Yeah, I think you're probably safe with starting T Higgins now,
so that makes sense. All right, let's get our starts
and sits in for the week at quarterback. Who's your start?

Speaker 3 (10:23):
I said it a little earlier. At the Steelers defense.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
I don't think in my lifetime I've seen a worst
Steelers defense.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
It's crazy, like the Steelers are known for great defense.
We still have TJ. Watt, like what happened.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
So I'm going with Jordan Love at Pittsburgh. Jordan Love
has been bad the last two weeks. Not bad, but
not great for fans in the last two weeks. So
I'm going with Jordan Love finally at Pittsburgh.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Going in the opposite direction. Really, I am taking the
other quarterback. I'm Rogers the revenge game.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
Well, and to be honest with you, the Packers defense
hasn't been there either.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
And you know, Aaron Rodgers loves the spotlight. He loves
a situation like this where we can jam it into
a former team. You know, he He's gonna love this game,
So I imagine he's gonna have a great game.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Did you catch on Thursday when Kirk kurb Street said, yeah,
Rogers says once he's retired, we won't see him for years,
and al Michaels goes, yeah, we'll see about that.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
That was so great.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Of course it's so true. Yeah, but I mean, I
he loves this game more. He's probably had this game
circled since day one, and so yeah, I think he
goes off has a big game. Who's your sit?

Speaker 2 (11:22):
My sit is a guy that I looked like he
was bouncing back after a couple of weeks and then
just crap the bed on Monday.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
C J Stroud Nico.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Collins probably isn't gonna play because we can cushion yeah
where I mean, he may, but it doesn't look like
he's going to, which sucks.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
He has no weapons outside Nico collins run game is
even worst line stinks.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
I think he has taken a little bit of a
step back, but also everything around him is awful. Yeah,
so I think I wouldn't start him against the Niners.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
No, my sit this week is a guy who's having
He's in the MVP conversation. Is he the MV No,
but he's in the conversation. No, I am talking about
Drake May.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
The Patriots have been great. They've been really one of
the best teams, surprising everybody. You know, they're in first
place and so and Drake May has been having an
incredible season. I think May can take a little step
back this week May against Cleveland. Cleveland's got an outstanding defense.
I think they're going to frustrate him a little bit.
Uh maybe you know, you're gonna see a little bit

(12:22):
better of a running game with the Ramandre Stevenson, you know,
Treyvon Henderson, stuff like that. So I just don't imagine.
I think the Patriots will win the game. But I
just don't think Drake's gonna have like this crazy good
fantasy game. So he's might sit this week. Running back.
Who's your start?

Speaker 2 (12:35):
My start as a guy that I had inside information
on before the season started, DeAndre Swift.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
Ravens and he's been great.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Raven's defense has a ton of injuries, and if Lamar
doesn't play, which he didn't practice Monday, I don't know
he's practice looking good, he's not looking good, then I'm
starting DeAndre Swift. I would also even start his back
up because they both went off last week, so they
both may go off again, so I would start DeAndre Swift.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Might start this week. I gotta imagine they're gonna probably
have a balanced back game this week with Tampa and
they have nobody left at wide receiver, so I think
they're running game is gonna pick up. I like Rashad
White this week against New Orleans.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
But they have Tes Johnson, He's pretty good.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Who's that?

Speaker 3 (13:15):
He's one of their receivers? Ted Johnson and Sterling Shepherd.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Come on, Okay, well I've heard of Sterling Shepherd before.
Who's that? Tzu? Y'll see? Okay, say your sneaky pick
up for the week. Give you a break?

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Uh No?

Speaker 1 (13:27):
I like Rashad White this week. Obviously he's still no
Bucky Is Bucky Irving? Did what happened?

Speaker 3 (13:31):
I don't know why they put on ir Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
I mean he was gone for a week and they
have a bye next week, so I'm gonna miss five
weeks about That's crazy?

Speaker 1 (13:38):
So road White, I like this week? Who's your sit?

Speaker 2 (13:40):
My sit is the whole Titans backfields. There's three teams
in the NFL that are.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Just didn't you go all in on Taji Spears?

Speaker 2 (13:47):
I did, and that was a mistake. Huh, because this
this team sucks. I don't understand. Taj Spears was a
decent player last year. They're not even giving him a chance.
This Tory Pollard is he supposed to be better than this. Yeah,
he's terrible. They have no receivers. Their quarterback has no chance.
I'm not saying he stinks, and he says no chance.

(14:07):
They're awful.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
They're playing the Cults.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Individual are going to be released now and it's bad.
I wouldn't start anyone the Colts their coach. Yeah, the Colts,
the Raiders, and the Jets.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Not the Colts, not the Cults.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Sorry, the Dolphins, the Raiders, and the Jets are the
three worst teams in the league. So I wouldn't really
want to start anyone from those teams right now.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
It's tough too. You know you're not gonna like my
sid I love this guy. There's this I love him.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
You are wrong about that.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Okay, we'll see what We'll revisit this next week. I
don't love Cam Skataboo this week. Crazy listen, I think
you're Giants. That's such a tough loss that they have,
how they're going to rebound and play the Eagles this week? Like,
I think the Eagles may boat race these guys. And
so I think that, you know what what I if
I'm the Eagles, I'm gonna I'm gonna say, all right, Dark,

(14:54):
you're gonna have to beat us through your arm he can. Okay,
I know you love him. I know you love him,
but h and I like camp scatter who don't get
me wrong. I just think they're gonna do everything. They're
gonna shut him down, and you're gonna be hard to run.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
It will be a big game for serious Slayton.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Okay, you're not even making any No, I think.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
The Giants are gonna lose by twenty plus.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
Yeah, I still would start scouting all right, wide receiver,
who's your start?

Speaker 2 (15:16):
This kills me but Davante Smith because because he's on
the Eagles, oh yeah he Uh. If Paulton Adebo doesn't play,
which looks like he may not, he's a giant starting corner.
That means you're gonna start Deontay Banks, who's freaking awful,
like awful, and uh, and I think that you'll put
They'll put this other guy flout against a J. Brown
and Flats actually be pretty good this year. So if

(15:38):
DeVante Smith is getting covered by Deontay Banks, start them
in every week.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
I hope this happens. I have DeVante Smith and I'm
going against a J. Brown in two leagues. So I
hope AJ has a bad game and DeVante has a
great game. That's what I'm hoping for.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
Yeah, I think that's what's gonna happen, depending on who
whoever Deontay Banks covers stardom weekend and.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
Week out wide receiver, my start is gonna be Courtland Sutton. Uh.
Sutton didn't have a huge game against your giants. You know,
he wasn't like Nicks. You know, he had an incredible,
incredible game taken on Dallas, who we've seen their defense
me up and down and it's not that great. That
kind of a win that the Denver had is really

(16:17):
going to propel them. I mean, you just have to.
It gives you momentum. I just like Cortland Sutton this week,
I think they're gonna throw the football against Dallas and
do pretty well.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Who's your sit We were just talking about a little
earlier I don't think Juwan Jennings is long for San Francisco.
I could see him being traded at some point. What's
his name has come in, Big Melcon, Yeah, Kendrick Bourne
has come in. You're gonna get purs all back at
some point.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
Yeah, you're gonna person back.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
And also it's tight ends day and I think George
Kittle is gonna make.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Up Okay, I like it. Uh my sid this week again,
a guy who came out of the gate hot last week,
big first game of the season for him. I don't
know if you're gonna see this every week, Russie Rice.
I know everybody is, you know, all hyped on him,
and you know a lot of people drafted him and
then iroed him for those first six games and you
were like, whoa that came out two touchdowns. That's crazy.

(17:07):
There's a lot of mouths to feed there. Yeah, you know, honestly,
if you think about it, I don't know how they're
going to do this, you know they and it's a
lot of fast guys, and so I don't know that
you're going to see a Rushie Rice every week. I
think the Chiefs are going to be fine this week
against Washington I just I'm a kind of I'm a
big wait and see guy, Like you got to show
me more than one week, you know that you have
it like that, Like that with rookies, I'm like that

(17:28):
with guys coming back from injury. That's what I talked
about with George Kittle last week, like you got to
show me.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
Rice coming off. Didn't he get hurt last year?

Speaker 1 (17:36):
No?

Speaker 3 (17:36):
Yeah, he was hurt last year. Remember Wat's his name.
Blew out his knee.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Then he had a terrible offseason, and we're just assuming
he's a top wide receiver in the league.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
He looked great last week. I'm not I'm not taking
anything away from him.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
The Raiders.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
That's another good point tight end On National tight End Day,
who's your start?

Speaker 2 (17:53):
I'm not going to say Kittle, it's too easy. I'm
going with Dalton Schultz just because the the Houston Texans
have no one else throw the ball to, so I
think he'll get catches and he'll if you need a
guy because you're your guys on you don't have a
good tight end and your guys on a buye that,
I go with Dalton Schultz. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
I'm sort of in that same position where I'm gonna
go with Kyle Pitts, you know, taking it, and it's
mainly because they're taking on the Dolphins. Yeah, you know
the Dolphins. That team looks like they've quit.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
I've thought about I have Tyler Algier, the backup running back.
I've thought about starting him just for the fact that
he may play like the whole third and fourth quarter
because they're gonna be up so much.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
Yeah, it's possible. Uh, you know the the the Dolphins
just look atrocious, like it's crazy. Yeah, and so yeah,
I think Pitts has a good game. Who's your sid.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
This guy was supposed to be like it was supposed
to be really good. And but but if if Lamar
is not playing, I'm not touching him. Isaiah likely Oh yeah,
I went with the other and I'm going with Mark Andrews. There.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
It's the same reason, exact same reason. If you if
there's no Lamar, what are they doing? Yeah, like it
just they look so bad.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
I really wonder if they keep losing, if Hardball's gonna
lose his year.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
You've been saying that, I don't know in there.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
For so long that this was like the Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
I think you get a pass because Lamar is out.
You know, it's not great, but yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
But then look at the Niners though. Look at how
good of a job Kyle Shanahan's done.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
I mean, you playing for stringers, Bro, that's incredible. It's incredible.
Uh yeah, So we're basically saying stay away from the
Ravens diightends for sure, there you go. Hopefully you go
out there and get a win this week.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
