Speaker 1 (00:02):
Did you survive? By Mgeddon. It was a big week
last week. There was six teams on by, and there
were big teams too, like teams with key players, so
it was very tough the rams. All these big teams
did have bye weeks last week. Did you pick up
the right guys? Had you end up? Let's go over

(00:22):
it all right now in this week's episode of Fantasy
Freaking Football, it's.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Time to review your fantasy teams. Here now, commissioners, it's
time for Fantasy freaking football ball.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Yeah, I said last week that date was circled on
my calendar after the draft. I knew it was going
to be a tough week to survive with all those
teams on by. I had tons of guys on by,
and it ended up sort of being a mixed bag
for me and thor. So basically what happened with me.
I I'm in three leagues and I went two and one.

(01:03):
In two leagues, I had the most points nice, which
that's the first time that's happened this year, So that
was great, and so I was happy about that. And
in one league I lost, but I lost in one
of the again one of the worst ways possible. So
the buys. I survived, I was able to in our
one league that we're in together, I don't know, still

(01:24):
don't know how I drafted so well. I mean, I
have guys on my bench that I haven't played all year,
like JK. Dobbins, Dallas Goddard, Ramandre Stevenson. I have like
big names on my bench and I don't need them.
It's wild. Yeah, Deebo was on my bench last week
and so like, luckily, yeah, I turned out pretty good
and so yeah, I mean it's been that that league.

(01:46):
I don't know how it happened. I just had a
great year drafting, and then in my OG league and
I had another big week. I did really well, survived
the bys and Pooka being out too has been tough,
but luckily he was on buy either way. And then
in our work league, this is the league that I
cannot figure out, and it's just been brutal. The way

(02:06):
I've lost has been awful. Well, the guy I played,
he had a ton of guys on buy, and I
was like, oh, I think I'm gonna be okay here
because I'm you know, like he had big names on by,
like Jamior Gibbs and guys like that. So when you
see that, you're like, oh, okay, yeah, you're done, buddy.
And so I was looking forward to it, and he
had jayde Daniels and Jane Daniels didn't play, and so
the guys he picked up and I saw Him'm like, eh,

(02:29):
all right, I mean nobody's special, you know. Well they
all went off.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Oh no.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
So he for quarterback, he had Aaron Rodgers, who had
a decent game. He didn't have a great game, but
he had I mean he put up on it like
fourteen points, so whatever. Not bad. But then the two
guys that he used as replacement players literally had career games. Guys,
you don't you would never think so. R. J. Harvey
the Broncos Bronco's running back has a crazy game, but

(02:57):
worse as a guy that I've I'm barely even aware
of that he's in the league. And of course he
has the greatest game of all time. That Tony Franklin,
wide receiver for the Broncos, Troy frank Troy Franklin, excuse me,
Troy Franklin. This guy goes crazy and I'm like, what
the I didn't even get his name right, Like, what
the hell? And those are the guys that he had
a replacements, and so they all have big games, and

(03:19):
of course I lose because of and I'm like, that's
just horrific timing. So that ended up not working out
for me. But I'll take two wins out of three.
Not bad.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
What about you, dude, I've yet to have in three leagues,
and I've yet to have a week where I.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Win in all three leagues.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Well, you're winless in the league, and I've only had
two weeks out of the whole year where I've won
in two of the three leagues. I'm four and four
in two leagues. Okay, so I could deal with That's
not terrible. Because it's halfway through. You may sneak in
and I'm still in it. I'm like six seven around there.
But in our big league that I won the championship
in last year, I'm.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Zero and eight.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
That's insane.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
I can't catch you in that's I'm eight of my
first top nine picks I've gotten injured and one of
them suck Asaya Pacheco.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Who then just got injured.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Yeah, so all my picks have gotten injured. Right, My
bench is terrible. No one's come through for me, like.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
You had a rough back end of the draft.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
I did.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
I did.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
I had some stuff going on and I want to
talk about uh distracted. That was very distracted with man
May and I've gotten a fight with my wife and
it may.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Have ruined the draft.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
It was not great.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
It may at draft for me. Yeah, So that sucks.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Well, the injury thing that's not injury sucks.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Yeah, because because there's no one left and I'm not
at this point, I'm not going to trade Puka because
then I have no one. So I played a guy
who had all his guys on buys, but he got
thirty points from the Tampa Bay Bucks defense.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Dude, he I haven't told you. I haven't told you this.
I was going to save it for the podcast. Yeah,
I needed to make a move at defense, and I
was going to pick up the Bucks. I ended up
picking up a different team. So I could have saved you.
Oh my god, I could have saved you, and I didn't.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
He got thirty points from Tampa Bay's defense, and then
he got thirty five from Tucker craft Can and then
he got twenty from Khalil Shakiir, who I had got
twenty all year. And then he got twenty plus from
Justin Fields.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Who wasn't doing anything until the.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
End of the game. So it's just like, what can
you do? Yeah, and I'm a decent game Like.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
It wasn't like I was terrible. I got like one
from one fifteen whatever for that team.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
It stinks. So I don't know I'm ever gonna win.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
Ard of me kind of wants to go winless really like,
I'm just like, it's because to win the league championship
one year and then go winless than.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Next that's remarkable. It's not good, but it's pretty crazy.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
As long as I make the playoffs in at least
one of the other two leagues run four and four,
I'll be I'll be fine with that. I just there's
nothing worse than when the fantasy season ends and you
don't make the playoffs, because then it just ends.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Absolutely and it sucks. Yeah, it's not great. Uh So,
hopefully you survived. Hopefully you did. Okay, there, I made
the right pick ups. Picked up you know, Toby Franklin
or over the kad Toby. I don't know what the
heck that guy is, right, Great? Uh So you can
email us with your questions every week. We'll try to
get to them. You can hit us up on X
at the show four at the show, Eddie. Of course

(06:01):
you can email us as well. We'll try to get
to him. Like I said, first question is a full
PPR league. Who would you guys start between Chase Brown
and Tyrone Tracy?

Speaker 4 (06:12):
Dude, this is tough because the Bengals stink and I
know you're thinking ty effectively though.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
They don't stink. I mean they scored, you know, thirty
eight points.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Then last week, what has Chase Brown done this year?

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Well, well, I feel like with Flacco in there now,
that's the question. With Flacco in there now, they're able
to move the ball. Yeah, you know, and and Chase
Brown has benefited from it. If if Flacco doesn't play, though,
now we're in trouble.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
I don't listen. Camp'scataboo is hurt. So it's now Tyrone
Tracy show. Tracy wasn't a bad back last year, victually
eight hundred yards.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Now he's been invisible though.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Yeah, because because so I don't know how the Niners, sorry,
I would go.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
I'd probably go with Chase Brown. You know this is
no back Dart. I'm not touching the giants.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Yeah, I'm going I'm going Chase Brown all day. I mean,
especially coming after that performance he had last week. H
Tyrone Tracy, now, thanks, I'm gonna pass on that one. Sorry,
no offense. I got a tough wide receiver question for
you guys. Do I go with Deebo or Zay Flowers
this week?

Speaker 3 (07:17):
I'm going with Zay Flowers. Really yeah, Lamar's back.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Jayden's back too.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
Jayden's back, but I've got both both.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Guys playing the right commanders, sorry, playing the s got
a good defense. I think the Ravens are going to
put it on the Dolphins tonight and and because and
then they go to three and five because they're two
and five right now?

Speaker 3 (07:37):
Right? Oh no are they? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (07:39):
I think they'll only have two wins.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
They only have two wins, so they'll go to three
and five.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
They'll say, hey, we're back, We're we have Lamar backs,
We're back. I think they put it on the Dolphins
tonight and Zay Flowers gets his catches, get some points.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
It's possible. It is sort of a coin flip for me.
I love that both quarterbacks are back. Deebo performs way
better when Jayden's in there, obviously, Uh, you know, Za Flowers,
he hasn't been terrible. Uh he hasn't gotten an end
zone very much, but uh, he's been pretty good. Last
week he had a good game. So yeah, it's kind
of a toss up for me. I kind of agree

(08:12):
with you. I like the matchup better for Jay Flowers
than I do debo against Seattle, So I'll give this
slide edge to Zay as well. Final question is a
two prong question, says two questions for the Pod. First
is a flex position question. Everyone on my team is
by or injured this week. It was me last week.
Uh so my options are Malik Washington from Miami or

(08:36):
tight end Dalton Kincaid from Buffalo. Who do you guys
like in that one?

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Oh man? I mean, I mean that's tough.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Malik Washington from where my from Miami.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
I probably go with Dalton Kincaid just because it's the
Bills and you hope that Josh Allen does something. I
think the Bills are gonna they're at home. I think
they're gonna beat the Chiefs. I do, so I would
go with them.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Yeah, I mean, like maybe hopefully Kinkaid can score you
a touchdown, you know, something like that, but yeah, I
don't put a lot of thought into bleek Washington. Then
the second question, maybe he says, is a stupid question.
But I'm not sure what to do at quarterback. I
have Lamar back and Justin Herbert Lamar playing this week.
Should I sit him one more week or start him
right away?

Speaker 4 (09:19):
I'm starting Lamar. Here's the thing of Justin Herbert. I
know they're playing the Titans, but this could be a
game where they score a ton of points but he
doesn't go off.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
You know how that could.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Happen, like or he could go off, but this could
be a game where they handed off to Kamani Videll
and he has a ton of points or you know.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
I just it's always a risk with that. But I
think if you have Lamar, I'm starting Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
Yeah, you again, you will always say go with your guys.
And I know Lamar is just coming back from injury.
He should have probably played last week. You know, they
were doing some shady business there. But you know, Dolphins,
I don't care what they did against the Falcons. They
are terrible. Yeah, and I do believe I'm in the
same boat as you. I think the Ravens go off
this week, and Lamar is going to be fair.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
If they don't go off this week, there's trouble in Paradise.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Oh for sure, that would be crazy. Yeah, no, I agree,
I would. If Lamar plays, He's in my lineup for sure.
All right, let's get to our starts and sits for
the week. At quarterback, who is your start?

Speaker 4 (10:14):
This guy had a tough week last week against the Broncos.
Talking about Dak Prescott. They're at Arizon of their home
against Arizona. I think Arizona Night football too, right, Yeah,
I think so. Arizona's got a good team. Better down.
I'm going to take that back. They're better than what
we think they are. I don't think they're.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Terribly They are who we think they are.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
I don't think they're terrible. Nice one. I don't think
they're terrible.

Speaker 4 (10:39):
They lose a lot of close games, but I think
Dak's gonna put a lot of points in this game.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Yeah, my start this week again, you gotta look and
see what Justin feel. If Justin Fields is able to
go off on you. Your defense is awful and Cincinnati's
defense is just atrocious. So Caleb Williams, I gotta imagine
for the Bears is licking his chops. He's sort of

(11:03):
has been kind of up and down in fantasy. You
really aren't really sure what he's gonna do week to week.
But this week I think Caleb Williams has a big week,
so I like him against Cincinnati. Who's your sid dude?
This was my guy. I wanted the Giants to draft him.
It's really only his first year as a starter.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
But J. J.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
McCarthy looks like a nightmare right now in Detroit, so
I wouldn't touch him. I don't know what's going on there.
They clearly didn't want to play him, and where.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
They had a guy with a broken shoulder.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
I don't understand what's going on. He can't be that bad.
It's really odd. I'm taking I'm sitting JJ McCarthy.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
I feel bad for Justin Jefferson owners. He's not having
a terrible year, but he's definitely not having a top
three wide receiver year, which he should be, you know,
so he's got to be really upset.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
But that's one of the reasons I didn't draft him.
You just didn't know.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
With McCarthy, even though I think it's still so early
in the guy's career, but I mean they're acting like
he's a bust already.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
They're acting like that.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
You know, my sit this week is a guy who's
having a fantastic fantasy year. So don't get me wrong. Uh,
it's hard to not play him. But honestly, looking at
what the Houston Texans are doing on defense, they're really good.
So this week is a tough matchup for bow Nicks.
You know, the Broncos and Texans. I'm not really sure

(12:19):
what to expect out of the game. Broncos seem like
they're playing really good, and it's really because of both
bow has been incredible. I mean that that obviously, that
comeback against the Giants was all bo Nicks and so,
but you know, that's a tough matchup against the Texans.
They're gonna be on him like crazy. So i'd be
real careful about bo nex this week. Just a heads up,
running back, who's your start?

Speaker 3 (12:39):
DeAndre Swift? He's going against it.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Do you put them last week?

Speaker 3 (12:43):
He's going again, going.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Again and did. But I mean, like we're just gonna
pick him every week.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
You're playing the Bengals and Breise Hall just went off.
I'll take it DeAndre for week number two.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Yeah, this guy loves DeAndre swift Man my start this week.
You were talking about this game earlier, and this is
again an other defense. It's not very good. I'm gonna
go with Bam Knight from Arizona taking on Yeah, I
get it, and he's you know, could be available in
your league. But taking on the Cowboys. The Cowboys can't
stop anything, and it's bad, and so I don't I

(13:15):
do think that the Cowboys are gonna win that game.
But I think Bam Knight's gonna get his yards and
maybe even score a touchdown or something like that. So
I'm gonna go with Bam Knight as my start. Who's
your sit?

Speaker 3 (13:23):
Alvin Kamara against the Rams. Alvin has done. He has
had one hundredard rushing all year.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
He's not really a factor touchdowns or score touchdowns anymore.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
I think remember the game he scored like six touchdowns
a couple years ago.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
Yeah, he's thirty. I think it's just I think he
may be done.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
Yeah, I agree with you. My sit, I'm done. I
know that he had a nice little run and it
was a nice little story calling him Bill, But Bill
Crosskey Merritt, it's done. No, he doesn't have it, man,
he doesn't have it. I don't. I mean, have you
been watching him. He hasn't done anything.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
Jade's been out.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
That's the reason. Well guess what, Pal, you're taking on
the Seahawks. And the only reason you're saying that is
because you have him and you're hoping you get something
out of him. But I just I don't know, man,
I don't see it anymore. I don't think he's got it.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
Yeah, I don't get why they were so quick to
get rid of Brian Robinson Junior.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Yeah, very strange, man. All right, wide receiver, who's your start?

Speaker 4 (14:12):
I know you don't want to you want to sit
bow Nicks in that defensive matchup. And you could say
the same thing about c J. Stroud going against the Broncos,
But the Broncos don't have Patrick stertan different defense that
Patrick Stertan.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
CJ.

Speaker 4 (14:25):
Stroud looks like you found a little something last week.
I'm gonna start in Ego Collins this week.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
He's if he right now still, if he.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
Plays, if he plays, I know he's got I see
it was a concussion.

Speaker 4 (14:38):
I saw, I checked he was limited yesterday, which was
a good sign. Hopefully he's more. He plays and he
practices more today. Check your lineup, make sure he's in,
and if he's in, I would start him.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
Okay, my start this week. I know you hate the Colts,
but you have to give him credit for what they're doing.
I mean, it's been impressive.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
The team. The teams is, they're a good team.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
I don't one guy who is having a surprisingly great
fantasy year. He's top seven Michael Pittman.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Which is shocking because it is he's always been a disappointment.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
He kind of has been, and the quarterback has usually
been a disappointment as well. But Daniel Jones and Michael
Pittman have found each other every week. Obviously, Jonathan Taylor
really is the key to that offense and he's having
an MVP type of year. But Michael Pittman, look at
his stats. It's actually really remarkable what Michael Pittman is doing.
He's becoming a one there for sure. So I like

(15:29):
Michael Pittman this week against the Steelers.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
The call's got touse schedule coming up. Steelers, Falcon's good Falcons.
I know they just got beat.

Speaker 4 (15:35):
But the Chiefs Texans, Jaguar, Seahawks. Get back to me
after that Seahawks game, Okay, I think right now? Yeah,
the seven to one records? You are what your record says?

Speaker 3 (15:46):
You heard that they ain't winning a game with the playoffs,
They're not on it. I just don't see it happening.
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Wow, he's just you hate Daniel Jones because he sucks
so much Giants, then you're gonna.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
I don't think he's I don't think he's not great.
Now he's in the MVP conversation.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
What are you talking about? Oh my god? All right,
who's your sit?

Speaker 4 (16:06):
This guy has not done anything since the Bills game.
Stefan Diggs versus the Falcons.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
What happened?

Speaker 3 (16:13):
He gave it all everything he had. He had one it.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
He had ten points last week because he had like
one catch for fourteen yards and a touchdown and that
was it.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
And it was just like what happened to Stephan Diggs.
I thought he was back. No if that Bills game.
He's been awful.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
It's only revenge games for him. Everything and he has.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
He's number eight and Kayshawn Booty is number nine. So
every time Booty catches a pass, I think it's Digs and.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
It's not Oh do you have Digs?

Speaker 3 (16:36):
I have Digs.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
No, he's Derek.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
The Falcons defense is pretty good.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Yeah. My sit this week is again a guy who
came out of the gate super hot and then where's
he gone? Quentin Johnson from the Chargers. What happened to him?
Like he came out of the gate, and like the
first three weeks, I'm like, oh, this guy's good.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
When we go to starting tight Ends, I'll tell you.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Okay, and I just I'm like, he's been completely absent again,
So I don't like him, even though you know, do
you think the Chargers are obviously going to be Tennessee,
But I just don't think it's him anymore. Tight End.

Speaker 4 (17:05):
Who's your Startrond Gatston, who I almost fire the tenant.
He's basically took Quintin Johnson's touches. I mean, that's what happened.
It's crazy. And even in the first half last week
on Thursday, he bawled out and then they didn't really
give a pass in the second half.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
But the guy's been phenomenal.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
He really has.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
It's crazy.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
It's quite yeah, because I didn't even know who he
was was.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
He a fifth round pick?

Speaker 1 (17:27):
I don't know who he was. Who the heck is
that I know? But yeah, he's been balling out.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
Took Quentin Johnson's I guess.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
So my start this week again. Guy kind of up
and down, but it's been because Lamar hasn't been in there.
He kind of had a good game last week. But
I like Mark Andrews this week. We've been saying it
all so long. We think the Ravens are going to
really put it on the Dolphins. I think Mark Andrews
scores a touchdown. I like Mark Andrews this week.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
Who's your shid TJ Hawkinson against the Lions again? You're
in Detroit, JJ McCarthy. There's some rumblings that it's not
fun anymore over there with Kevin O'Connell.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
I'm sitting.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
Smile.

Speaker 3 (18:05):
This could be one of those guys.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
This could be one of those games where Justin Jefferson
throw a TEMPERTENTI on the sideline.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
He hasn't done it yet, which to his credit.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
But if they're getting blown out, you know, forty two
to six.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
Oh wow, it's quite a score, can't you see? It's
they're playing the Lions.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
They're playing the Lions, and the Lions won't stop square,
they'll put it on. So I could totally see it happen.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
Could it could be my sit this week is a
guy who sort of turned his I don't want to
say fully turned his career around, but he's playing better.
He's been a massive disappointment for most of his career.
He's been pretty good as of late, but not this week.
I don't like Kyle Pitts this week. Pitts, you know,
I mean, honestly, like, this guy looks like he's the

(18:45):
proto tip pickle tight end. He looks like he's carved
out of granite.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
It was supposed to be like the next big thing.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
He was a top draft pick and he just hasn't
really put it together this year. He's had a couple
of games where he looks like, Okay, Kyle Pitts is
