Speaker 1 (00:00):
Did we see the greatest performance in fantasy football history
this past weekend?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
We're gonna have to break this down in this week's
edition of Fantasy Freaking Football.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
It's time to review your fantasy team here now, Commissioners.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
For Fantasy Freaking Football. Well, we have a bittersweet episode
here because this is it for B Dub for filling in.
H so it will be back after it. Well, I
don't know, we'll see, man, very popular B Dub has
been filling in for the past three weeks. I appreciate you,
Brian hanging out with me. It's like the old days,
(00:44):
you know.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
Bringing back some memories. My dms have been blowing off. Really,
is that right? No, but I'd always wanted to say
that out loud. Yeah. I don't even know what it means.
It's been a lot of fun for.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Yeah, no, being able to talk fantasy. We're in two
leagues together, so it's just kind of sort of makes sense.
And yeah, or we'll be back from his paternity to
leave when we get back from Thanksgiving break. So this
is it for b Dub, So go crazy, man.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
I am, I'm going out. Okay, what I.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Was just referencing there is Josh Allen's performance in Fantasy
this past weekend. I'll be honest with you, I've been
playing Fantasy for almost well twenty five, twenty six years
something like that. You've been playing even longer because you've
been playing since you were a little kid in your
dad's league. I don't know that I've seen a game
like this for Josh Allen. He was responsible for six touchdowns.
(01:34):
You've seen six touchdown performances before, but not necessarily from
a quarterback. From a quarterback perspective, you obviously get points
for the touchdowns, and he had three rushing which are
usually more points, three passing, and then of course all
the passing yards as well. He had an incredible game.
I'm lucky enough to have him in two leagues. It
(01:56):
was one of those ones that I targeted him early
and I just had a feeling about Josh all year
long where I was like, I really I want to
walk away with Josh Allen.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
I really did.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
I know you have the same feeling about him, because
I snuck him right before you in our work league Happy.
I knew you were going to take him at some point,
so I was like, I got to get him before
be Dove because we kind of think alike in fantasy,
and so I targeted Josh in the two leagues that
we're actually in together, and I was able to snake him,
and so he was unbelievable for me. I apologize to
(02:27):
anybody out there who was playing against him this week
because he was putting up obviously depends how your league
is scored forty to fifty points, which is almost unheard
of for a single guy to do.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
It was crazy. They're completely game changers. We talked about
the week before with JT. Jonathan Taylor having such a
big week, but when you're starting quarterback, is getting you
that so consistently in terms of getting you thirty plus
every single week, it just allows you so much more
flexibility across your lineup.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
His rushing numbers, his rushing touchdown numbers are crazy.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
He's he's going to go down after it's all said
and done as one of the all time leading rushing
touchdown people as a quarterback and quarterback. He's already went away.
I think he's went away from the actual all time
record was Cam Newton for quarterbacks. I think it was
seventy three, and I'll be Honest, I'm just gonna say this.
I think Buffalo's specialty guys are average at best. Outside
(03:17):
of Cook. Cook is great. Cook is a really good
running back and he's proven that at times. But the
wide receivers, I think are only getting prominent attention at
times because he's involved in the process. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Well, the only way they're winning games is because of him.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Yeah. He puts the entire Sam Coleman obviously the issues there.
You could tell the players are down on him. Shakure
went almost all game long without even catching a pass.
They have knocks, they have Kincaid, solid serviceable tight ends,
but they are hit and miss. Yeah, they have another
wide receiver that I'm totally blanking on because they don't
make an impact on the regular They'll catch passes though
(03:55):
when you need him, and all of a sudden you're like, oh,
I kind of forgot he was on this team, and like, oh,
he had like three catches for some yards. Josh Allen
is literally the premier player that makes that engine go
for that offense.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Yeah, we were talking. Is Jonathan Taylor the Fantasy MVP
last week and maybe Josh Allen, you know, you think
about it. He has had a couple of down weeks,
but I mean that's that's normal. But overall he's been incredible.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Yeah, that offensive line has just done such a good
job of just keeping him upright. For the most part,
doesn't take too many hits. And when he does, I
think they're calculated, like he knows, I need to stay
in here to get the pass off. Very similar to
the Indianapolis Colts where they've actually retooled some of their
premier guys as they've like you know, drafted in the draft.
It's just a great reminder that certain teams in the
(04:39):
sport of football, if you do not handle the trenches,
if you do not worry about your lines, you will
not be a successful team. People talk about Philadelphia and
the Tush push and what's going on there. And you
lose Jason Kelsey, who was at the tip of the
spear for that whole thing. They found somebody in there
that replaced him. They completely stay together. They've lost Lane Johnson,
they still are able to kind of still move the
(04:59):
nether as an offensive line, and that's the key. The
best teams in sports, in sport of football have good
offensive and defensive lines. It's just it's fact as good
as your quarterback is. If you don't have lineman, you're
not gonna be very succet.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
They were talking about it on Monday Night Football of
like the Countdown, I believe it was where they were saying,
you know what, why did the Raiders go out and
draft Ashton Genty when you need to build from the
inside out and your your offensive line is not good,
your defensive line is not good, and you drafted a
running back like it's that's a novelty pick. It's a
nice he's a good running back. I'm sure you know eventually,
(05:33):
but if you have nobody to block for him, what
are you gonna do?
Speaker 2 (05:36):
Yeah, And you can't blame him because you've actually watched
how they've done play calling. You've watched how they've struggled
so fast, you know, being down in points. He hasn't
come close to even coming remark like remotely scratching the
surface of what people thought or projected he would do.
And I don't blame him. Yeah, I think that whole regime.
I know it was cool and nostalgic and like, hey,
(05:58):
Pete's going to bring him back and the Raiders and
what's kind of going on there? It hasn't worked.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
No, and Gino Smith has been really literally one of
the worst quarterbacks in football.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Yeah, and and I don't fully blame him, even though
he's made some poor decisions. You could see his frustration.
I mean, he's definitely a guy that struggled early in
his career, but he's been a above average and serviceable
quarterback and given teams a chance to win in recent years.
We saw what happened in Seattle. So you're not going
to get the dynamic Josh Allen, you know, Pat Mahomes,
even Lamar Jackson. But you're gonna get a guy that
(06:27):
could move the chains and you put a good defense
around him and good special teams and they could win games.
And that's not happening right now because they don't have line.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Well, in terms of fantasy, you'll have, you know, a
big before, like like look at what Jacoby Brissett did
last week and a losing effort.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
I just picked him up in one of my teams.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
It was kind of crazy when I didn't realize, you know,
because the Niners were killing him most of the game,
and then you look at the stat line afterwards. He
broke the record for completions he had four hundred yards passing.
I was like, wait, he did.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Light bulbs should go off right out right out of
the box, right. A more dynamic and more athletic cores
back in Caller Murray, however, playing the position of quarterback
in the NFL built around that offense. Those offensive linemen
knowing that they're gonna have a guy sting in the
pocket that doesn't flush at the with the blink of
an eye or because somebody goes boo and he just
takes off running like Caler Murray would do. They've been successful.
(07:17):
They had Marvin Harrison out. I mean, they really did
it with two guys Wilson and Trey bac Bright. I mean,
it's there. They were the two or three running backs
already out. I mean, it's amazing that Arizona's being as
competitive as they are, and I think it starts with
their defense. But I do think that Jacobe Brissett, who's
never been a great quarterback, but he's he's a backup.
He's one of the better backups, right compared to some
(07:37):
of the other guys that came in. I mean, we
can get into that a little bit later, Like in
Cleveland and some of the other stuff around that.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
You know, guys that are wearing don't pickup, do not face.
That's my biggest fantasy advisers exactly. Let's get to your questions.
Of course, you can hit us up on X at
the show, Eddie at the show or we still aren't
really sure about btw if he's even on Twitter. Uh.
And then we do have are we do have our
email address. Of course you can hit us up on email.
(08:03):
And then we did confirm that our our specialty email
address f FF at rock one five three dot com
is available. So if you want to, if you want
to email us your question you can't.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Do please do it? Well, please, you just love that
email address. I do, all right.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
First question is who do I start at wide receiver
Michael Pittman versus Kansas City or Juwan Jennings versus Carolina.
I know you're a big Michael Pittman guy.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
I do, so go back with the family a little bit. Uh.
He struggled though, like he's been boom or bust early
on good and it was a credit to Daniel Jones
terrible week last week. Yeah, Richardson could never figure him
out when he was the quarterback. But he really was
very poor last week. Didn't use him much, and I
think that's going to be probably changed for the week
prior they had Yeah bye week. So I got to
(08:46):
think they go into the room realized, Wow, we didn't
get him the ball enough. We probably didn't force some
passes in there. Uh, they like to stretch with Pierce
and then of course Johnson Josh down. Yea, they got
that random guy there. Tight Jones is actually making these
guys become more prominent, like either you know, or at
least they're getting more attention because he's moving the ball around.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
That means there's a lot of mouths to feed though,
So you know, I'm not really sure that Pittman is
the guy against Kansas City. This is make or break
for me for Indianapolis. If they are able to beat
the Chiefs, you're a legitimate contender. If you fall to
the Chiefs, I'm not sure if we have just a pretender.
And so I'm fascinated with this game. Juwan Jennings is
(09:23):
obviously going to benefit from brock perty being back, and
you know, you saw what the offense is able to
do with Brock. You could say what you want. He
didn't put up gaudy numbers by any means, but he
is very efficient and he runs that offense very well.
And Jawan Jennings had a decent game. And so if
I'm looking at Pittman or Jennings, I think Jennings is
the safer play, But Michael Pittman has the ability to
(09:45):
go off.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Yeah, coming off of buye, I think Pittman's gonna have
probably a better bounce back, or at least they're going
to try to give the ball more in Kansas City.
I said this last week, though, I said the differences
of Pretty and Mac Jones two different types of quarterbacks,
and they're not as really as comparable as you would think.
And you already saw what happened when Pretty came back.
Kittle more involved in the offense way more than ever
before outside of one game. And you know, I do
(10:07):
think that's one of those things where it starts little McCaffrey. Yeah,
McCaffrey a lot of underneath stuff that within fifteen yards
and then he sets up the deeper pass. So I
think there's maybe a bigger chance for a boom with
Juan Jennings. I would tend to lean here Michael Pittman
with more of a consistent, higher number, consistent.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Gotcha flex question Michael Wilson, who we just mentioned versus
Jacksonville or Woody Marx versus Buffalo.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
I think Woody Marx is gonna have a huge game
against They're gonna have to pound the rock. I mean,
c J. Stroud, how far removed we are from this
guy is the next Yeah, the next guy and he's gone.
So now you have, you know, his backup who's actually
played pretty consistent and not trying to do too much.
And I think that's where they've been leaning on the run.
Now Buffalo probably knows that. But I think Woody Marx
has solid I think he's gonna get a ton of touches.
(10:52):
I think they're gonna work him into that offense a
whole lot more. Whereas on the flip side of you
know who we compare him to, Michael Wilson, Yeah, Michael Wilson,
you still have Harrison's questionable it might be back this week.
You still have McBride, you still have other people that
are gonna spread the ball around to a little bit.
So I'm leaning on Woody.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Mark Jacksonville is a lot better versus the past too,
and so you know, I tend to lean in in
a flex question to the running back because you're almost
guaranteed touches. And they've utilized Woody Marks in the passing
game as well. And so Michael Wilson, Yeah, you had
a big week. I'm always like, you got to show
me more than just one week. Type of guy, Woody
(11:29):
Marks has been pretty serviceable. So I'm going to give
the edge as well to Woody Marks in that one.
Love this next question. This is like kind of like
a philosophical question. So I really like this. I'm fascinated
to see what you say about this says. I have
a question for you guys. I'm in a league where
we have a guy who doesn't fix his lineup every week.
We all know this guy. Everybody has this guy. Well,
(11:51):
this week, that guy is playing against another guy who
I need to lose him to lose because we are
in a battle for the final play off spot. Do
I say something to him in hopes he fixes his lineup?
Or is that not cool? Is it all fair in
fantasy football?
Speaker 2 (12:10):
What do you do? Well, it's not cool, but I
would do it.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
You really, you would tell the other guy like, hey man,
you're gonna fix your lineup this week.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
I might just might just might do that. It depends
on like where you're at and how like bad you
need it. I I think you always like don't want
to wake a sleeping bear when you know you're gonna plan,
but then afterwards you're like you nudge that. I've probably
been known to do that before or said something in
my lifetime over forty years of playing fantasy with that
said though, is it's not cool and it's probably not.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
Like it's up to that kind of yeah, you know,
but at the.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
End of the day, like hey, if you're not cheating,
you're not trying.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Like that may tell it's not really even cheating. It's
not you're just saying you're trying to win. Yeah, yeah, yeah, listen, yeah,
I don't I don't really have a problem with it.
I would hope that that guy would get his stuff
together and go, come on, man, like you got to
fix your lineup. But you're right, that could come back
and hurt you because sometimes you'll go against the guy
and they don't realize, oh, there's a bye week. And
(13:05):
you know, if if somebody did that and I found
out somebody told I would be upset.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Yeah, like you might end up like waking him up.
He al sudden starts him, and then all of sudden
you play him in two weeks, right, and then he
crushes you and he still loses that karma. Yeah, but
I don't know if, like when you have money on
the line and you have like in a win or
go home mentality, I don't know if we really couldnot
have it a little bit of an edge. I don't
know about Beandie. I'm like the PC kind of like
(13:31):
the nice, fancy guy. I'd rather be known as a
guy that beat up wins, like the guy I just
kept called myself a third person, which is weird, but like, hey, hey,
like I win like and people know me. It's like
he's competitive, he always puts a good line up out there.
He's always he's always fighting to the end, even if
he has a losing record. And where it's at. I
don't like the guys that mail it in.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
I hear you. All right, let's get to our starts
and sits for the week. At quarterback? Who is your start?
Who do you like?
Speaker 2 (13:55):
This is a bounce back game. A lot of it
I think was weather induced against Philadelphia, but I have
Jared Goff. I think them not win that game. That
was a very tough matchup againt Philadelphia playing the Giant.
He was my sit last week he was your shit,
which was a good call. And that's kind of why
I wanted to also point it out there is I
think now it's a bounce back. Jared Goff to me
the most underrated quarterback in the NFL last year four
(14:15):
years in terms of just what he's done making that
a winning organization. Leaving away to.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Ask you this, Jared Goff at this point, he's been
to a super Bowl, he's had I mean, his numbers
are huge. Is he putting together almost a fringe Hall
of Fame career?
Speaker 2 (14:30):
This is kind of where I was going with, Okay,
the fact that they were so good early. It's almost like,
if you're gonna consider Matthew Stafford, he's following in the
same footstep.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
He's won a super Bowl though he has so that's
the only.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
Well now that he transferred teams. But I mean it's
kind of the same way he was a winning quarterback,
built up the organization, moved over and now built that
organization up a little bit more. I mean, because Matthew
Stafford had them always being good. They've gotten much better
underneath it. Goff In regards to more polished, a more
polished team, So I think he's I think he's head
in the right direction for sure.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
I think if the Lion, if the Lions somehow win
their first ever Super Bowl and Jared goff is the quarterback,
I think it's a Hall of Famer after you look
at his numbers. And that sounds crazy, but I actually.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
Think it is. If you plan a flag and you
make somebody prominent and get him to the Promised Land.
I mean people talking about that with Joe Namath right
with the Jets.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
I mean that would be two Super Bowls that he
played in, and if he won one, I.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
Mean that's kind of yeah. And you know how I
hate being a San Diegan growing up here in my
whole life. I mean, two of the most prestigious quarterbacks
in the history of the NFL never even got to
a Super Bowl, and Dan Faults and Philip Rivers, and
yet that's the only way people sometimes measure them. I
hate that as a measurement tool because the mouth breather
won two of them, and somehow that's why refer Eli Manning. Yeah,
(15:44):
and somehow Philip Rivers is always measured against him being
in the same draft and where it's at. I just
hate that comparison because they think there's so much more
to that and it really downplays a team because the Giants,
we all know those teams were so good in that
window and they had so many talented people.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
And though they don't win Simper Bowls, like they don't
think you're.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
I'm definitely bitter fan, right and I'm like, I own it.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
Yeah, my start this week. I again, I'm looking for
a bounce back game as well. It is kind of
crazy to think that the Seahawks even had a shot
in that game against the Rams with Sam Donald throwing
four interceptions, but literally they had a chance to tie
the game at the end. So it was kind of crazy.
But Sam, this is sort of what you get with
Sam Donald's He's been playing incredible, he's been playing really well,
(16:28):
and then you're gonna have a stinker and that's just
kind of Sam Donald's career. So I do truly believe
he's going to have a bounce back game and probably
a big game against Tennessee. So I like Sam Donald.
This week, who's your ship?
Speaker 2 (16:40):
I have JJ McCarthy and that's just playing simple. They
look so inconsistent. He looks very poor. He's not getting
any help. I mean Addison dropped multiple passes in that game.
They can't get He's overthrown everybod. Yeah, he can't get
Jefferson into the end zone, which is really frustrating if
you have Jefferson on your team. But JJ McCarthy, what
people have to remember, he's twenty two years old. Yeah,
(17:02):
he's twenty time. He's very young. I mean, he came
out after a couple of years in Michigan, and I
think he still has a big upside, especially being tied
to Kevin O'Connell, friend of the show. But I do
think that JJ McCarthy is a guy that I would
definitely back away for a while.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
I played against him last week and it was not good.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Well, in Green Bay's defense, they know right now their
offense we talked about it before. I'm sure we'll talk
about a little bit more. They're struggling and Jordan Love
right now is just as off as JJ McCarthy is.
Why Green Bays defense feel like they have to actually
come to the table more. I expect them to be
very aggressive against Minnesota.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
I said, this week is a guy who is, you know,
pretty good in fantasy so far, but I don't think
he's gonna have a good week this week. I'm talking
about Joe Flacco for the Bengals. You're taking on a
Patriots defense who is just they're playing lights out and
you're not gonna have Jamar Chase because of the spitting
the magic Loogie incident situation that happened. So Flacco is
(17:55):
not going to have weapons. You know, You're just got
to stop T Higgins at that point. And so I
just got to imagine Joe Flacco's numbers are not going
to be as gaudy as they have I know.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
But you know, going back to the conversation of Hall
of Famers, and I never thought in my wild of dreams,
I'd be talking about this Delaware quarterback. But the fact
that he's gone to multiple teams, it looks like you'll
keep playing for a couple more years because the guy
could still chuck the ball because he's a big dude.
Does he I mean he's won a Super Bowl?
Speaker 1 (18:21):
He has won a Super Bowl?
Speaker 2 (18:22):
I mean, is he a Hall of Fame quarterback. I mean,
I would never say that, but before, but he's one
with all these other teams.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
I understand what you're saying. I have a hard time
saying a guy's a Hall of Famer if you've gone
to so many different stops because you don't seem to
make it with that team. Are you a Hall of
Famer if you can't play with the Jets and the
Browns and all these you know, bad organizations. That doesn't
make sense. So yeah, I would probably say no. If
he somehow turned an organization around right now and like
(18:49):
went to another super Bowl, then you can't deny it.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
I think if the Bengals were somehow to get into
the playoffs, which I think is kind of a reach
right now, but then he gets all the credit in
the world because Browning was well.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
Joe Burr is coming back.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
Let me ask you the question, if they win their
next two games before, do you still put Burrow in
over Flacco?
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Yeah, definitely, I means Joe Burrow.
Speaker 2 (19:10):
I mean, but Joe Burrow is good. The guy's missed
a lot of time. He guy's been out for however
many weeks, whereas Flacco has been Actually, they've been scoring
points they still have a horrible defense. My point is, like,
as good as Joe Burrow is, is he that good?
Speaker 1 (19:25):
He's he's excellent, but he is too injury prone, right,
you know, you always hear the best ability is availability,
So he's he's got to figure that out.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
What he gets smoking a cigar in the locker, Roo.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
Running back, Who's your start?
Speaker 2 (19:39):
I went with Trevon Henderson. It's very obvious now, stud
that everyone was thinking this year was going to be
the year the guy emerged. He did well, he's a rookie.
Well yeah, but Romandi Stevenson kind of was still getting
a lot of it carries early in the season. You're
wondering what was going on. He's now had a couple
of big games. I think Stevenson's like, crap, he just
got Wally pipped. I don't know if he'll ever get
(20:01):
you know, he might be like a short yardage guy
or maybe a goal line guy. Really impressed with Stevenson
going against Cincinnati. We just talked about that defense. Big
day for him.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
My start this week is quinch On Judkins from the Browns.
You're taking on the worst run defense in the league
against the Raiders. The Raiders can't stop anybody, and so
he is going to go off. He's going to have
a big game. So I like him as my start.
Who's your sit?
Speaker 2 (20:24):
I went with Shad White, and that is because Tucker
emerged himself. Buck Irvan's been supposedly coming back now who knows.
I mean, like you just feel sorry for those people
hanging on buckyarravit, that'd be me. But Rashad White's just
kind of like I think he had ten carries fifty
one yards and still did okay, but like he was
like the guy when Buckyrevin went down and actually was
(20:45):
a nice compliment to Buck Irvin. And actually there maybe
a year before Buck Yervin emerged last year, but Tucker
looked really really came out of no especially against the Bills. Yeah,
so I think they're going to ride him ended this
week as well.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
My sit this week as I'm staying in that same game,
but I'm going with the opposite team. And it's a
guy we just mentioned, Ashton Genty. All right, Genty, you know,
talk about a massive fantasy disappointment. Genty, you know, was
a first rounder in a lot of leagues and so
I mean he's just not been productive at all, and
you're taking on the Browns defense, which you can say
(21:17):
whatever you want about the Browns, their defense is lights out.
They have been outstanding all year long. So this is
not the game that Ashton genty I'm going to be
feeding him the rock NonStop or whatever. I just don't
see it happening. Wide receiver, who's your start?
Speaker 2 (21:30):
I went Roman Donza playing Pittsburgh. He was the primary
target gad last week with six and if you look
at his kind of game log, it's like every other
game he pops. So he had like seventeen point six
against the Giants down to five point one against the Vikings.
I think you'll have another big game again. Part of
that's Kill Williams. And I don't think that obviously I'm
not a big Devonte Swift guy this week either or
(21:52):
you know, in terms of the running game. So I
do think that you're going to see them throw the ball,
and obviously that like kind of goes into his favorite
DJ Moore is still there. They saw some other you
know guys, but I think romandonesay, he's kind of now
the main guy. Yeah, and I think he's gonna get
more more touches and targets.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
My start this week is basically, if you've been watching
the Eagles, you know they they're like intentionally feeding the
rock to AJ Brown. Last week it was like NonStop.
It was to the point of where it was kind
of ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
Yep, where you go.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
You know, you have another guy on the other side
who's really good. You might want to throw him a
pass or two. I'm talking about Davonte Smith. So if
you keep feeding a J. Brown, you're gonna make him happy.
Everybody's great, but then you're not gonna score a lot
of points. What happens with Davante Smith has big games,
they score a lot of points. They do, and so
you're taking on Dallas, who you know, you look at
their defense and it's not very good. So I think
(22:43):
the Eagles win big and I think it's because of
Davante Smith this week.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
So that's that's my start. Who's your sid I like
your rationale. I Pickedante Smith.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
See, we're on different pages when it comes to this thing.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
It does. Your rationale is good, Yeah, but what I
saw was Owner meets with AJ Brown. We're gonna at
AJ Brown the ball until I don't see that. I
think it'll happen again. It's going to be against Dallas.
What's gonna be Premiere. AJ is gonna want I'm going
against Pickens, I'm going against c J M ceedee lamb.
I want the attention. And unfortunately that's kind of what
they're probably gonna do to try to keep him happy.
(23:15):
Nick Sirianni seems like he kind of goes with the flow,
and you'll probably be told this on when you do.
You're right about DeVante Smith though he has his biggest
games when nobody's counting him out there and and more.
He doesn't complain. He's just a He's just as very
much a professional. But I would stay away until I
see them back off for that.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
Now, I'm fascinated to see this Guyeah, it will make
it fun. Happen, It'll make it fun.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
Who's your Siit?
Speaker 1 (23:37):
My sid is a guy who popped last week. He
had a big game. It doesn't make a lot of
sense that he had this big game, but he he did.
I'm talking about Parker Washington from Jacksonville who he was
kind of like again the popular pick up this week
because everybody saw, oh, you had this big game in
Jacksonville and blah, blah blah blah. I'm like, whoa, pump
the brakes here? There are still other guys in Jacksonville. Yeah,
(23:59):
maybe this Parker Washington had a big game again. I'm
a show me guy. That's great. You had one big week.
Can you do it twice in a row?
Speaker 2 (24:07):
Yeah? I have no idea. Isn't Tuton there isn't he's
a running back? Yeah? Oh yea, yeah, we.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
Have Jacoby Myers. There is Brian Thomas ever coming back. Yeah,
I'm assuming he's gonna come back at some point. So
I don't I don't imagine Parker Washington is going to
be the guy every week.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
I did happen to see some of that. I went
to like a little like kind of brunch thing down
the street with the neighbor, and they had only that
game on. Oh and it's I haven't been able to
confirm if the charters actually showed up to play, because
I saw players shuit it up, but I don't know
if those Royal NFL players. It was very tough to watch.
That's a disappoint That was a look ahead at the
bye week, thinking we're going they never travel well, never
play well. In the ten am game, I mean, that's
(24:43):
been going on for years, but the tutin guy for
Jacksonville emerged to me and popped like in my eyes.
I like, I think they.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
Didn't get banged up and he's kind of questionable, but
I saw what you saw.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
Like I'm like, oh, if they can get him running
the ball a little bit like it is because you
need to take the pressure off Trevor Lawrence. Trevor Lawrence
is not what everyone wants him to be. He's just not.
I don't think he's that guy. I don't think. But
he's got some athleticism. It sets up play action pass
where he does have a strong arm.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
At ten had a good game.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
If they could run the ball there, they're going to
be better. So I'm kind of buying what you're saying.
Tight End, who's your start? This is easy coming off
a big week. Jake Ferguson Dallas. I think he's a
good tight end. He's healthy right now. Dak Prescott had
all of his pieces you saw than be able to
score points. I know is the Raiders, but that offense
still is able to score. He's moving it around a
little bit. Seedee Lamb only makes Jake Ferguson that much
(25:31):
more dangerous.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
My start this week is Hunter Henry. I think he
was your start last week. I like him this week.
Obviously you're taking on the Bengals. The Bengals defense is we.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
Could have put all five guys.
Speaker 1 (25:41):
Yeah, I mean, honestly, you could pick pick, take your pick.
With the Patriots, they're just playing so well right now.
I just like Hunter Henry Henry this week. Who's your ship?
Speaker 2 (25:49):
So I told you I liked what he marks a
ton for Houston. I don't like Dalton Schultz. No, not
this week. No, not this week going against Buffalo. I
think he's been putting up double digits. He has been,
but I think Baltimore, I mean, Buffalo is going to
really try to like stop and put all you guys
up front. That's going to take away that short passing game.
They're gonna have to stretch the game a little bit
with those wide receivers, the Nico Collins of the world,
some of the other guys. I just I'm staying away
(26:10):
from Dalton Shultz. I think he's actually a guy that
I like overall, is a tight end. He's not much
of a blocker, so when he's in there, you know
that he's probably gonna be running routes. I think they're
gonna lock him down.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
I heard this stat last week and I really held
onto it, and so I got to put this guy
as my sit this week. The only team to not
have a tight end catch a touchdown? Do you know
the answer?
Speaker 2 (26:29):
Tampa Bay?
Speaker 1 (26:30):
It is Tampa Bay. So, Kate Dodden, you got it here? Yeah,
you know you're taking on the Rams. Yeah, I picked
him up last week. Oh see, the beat up curses,
it is a real thing. And so if Kate Dodden,
if maybe they're gonna try and feed it to him
because they heard that stat was going around a lot.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
Why I saw when the game popped on, I did
hear that, And I'm like, oh, I'm glad I picked
Kate Odden. Perfect timing. That was such a dumb move,
you know. Yeah, And the Rams defense is.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
Legit, and so I you know, I gotta imagine that
the Rams are gonna play really well in that game.
Maybe they feed k the ball because they want to
get to this stat. Yeah, but Baker's that kind of guy, right,
like he hears everything. Baker's a quarterback that's very conscious
of his teammates.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
Listen. He's sophomoric and immature early on, but the way
he kind of hails himself, he's kind of that old
school quarterback. I think you're right. I think he's a
guy that will probably be conscious of it in the
next couple weeks to make sure he tries to get
him impossibly.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
We'll see what happens there, all right, hopefully there's another
history making performance. Beat up, Thanks for sitting in for
my pleasure a week, and hopefully you go out there
and get a win.
