Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, it's playoff time baby. Week ago. Well, we'll review
and see if we made the playoffs or not and
answer all your questions in this week's episode of Fantasy
Freaking Football. It's time to.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Review your fantasy team.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Here now, commissioners, it's time for fantasy freaking football. All right,
let's get into it. Man. It is playoff week. Here
we go. Most leagues the playoffs begin this week, and
no different for us. In my three leagues, I've had

(00:40):
an incredibly successful fantasy year. I don't know what happened,
but i'd been doing really, really well. So in my
OG league, I am in second place. I've been winning
like last three weeks or so in a row. I
wasn't doing so well in that league, and then all
of a sudden, things started happening and started winning again,
so doing great in that league. In our friends league

(01:01):
that we're in together, I went from worse to first.
I have the number one seed. I have a bye
this week, so I'm in the playoffs. But I have
a bye this week, so I get to sit back
and relax this week. Let my guys heel up.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
I hope that no one gets hurt.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Yeah, exactly. And then in our work league again, I
was not doing so well. I was in last place
for a little bit, but then I turned it around.
Things started happening and I ended up making the playoffs.
I finished fifth, and so I got in there, and
so now you never know what's gonna happen. The only
thing I don't like is I'm going to beat I
won last week, and the guy that I beat last week,

(01:41):
that's the guy I'm playing again this week, and I
so I have to beat in two weeks in a row.
That's always weird and tricky. And so I beat him
pretty handily last week, by about twenty So I'm kind
of hoping I have the same thing. But you never know.
You never know. So that's where I'm at. Where about you?

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Yeah, I went from first to last in my Buddies league.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Yeah, which is crazy. I mean, I you won the
champions I won the championship last year.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
And I think what happened was eight of my first
nine picks got hurt. From like week like three until
week like ten, I had literally eight out of my
first nine picks hurt, so I just couldn't recover. Yeah,
I literally was starting like fourth string wide receivers. And
then what happened was finally I got some guys back,
and I won like three in a row, and I

(02:23):
was starting.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
To feel my I was starting.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
To get in quite a while.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
I was nine oh man so and then I won
three in a row and then I lost and that
was it, Like it just.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Get totally flipped from worse to first. You went from
first to worst. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Wild, And then in the other league game, which was
a fun league, but then they upped the annie.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
I came in last week. If I would have won,
I would.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Have got a buy, but but all my guys were
on buys, so I just had a terrible showing. And
I also have Drake London and Alman Ross Saint Brown
and even though I'm ro played, he still wasn't one
hundred percent, but he still got me my points. But
now I'm I have and fourth I play this weekend,
and I'm playing like the team I'm playing against is better,
but they have some tough matchups, like like Jonathan Taylor against.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
The Seahawks Seahawks and.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
James Cook against the Patriots, so that kind of helps.
But I am worried because Drake London is not going
to play. He didn't practice again, I don't even know if
he's gonna play agains the season, which stinks.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
So I don't know.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
And then in our work league, I end up coming
in second year.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Yeah, so b dub Our, famous B dub who filled
in for you, will your opportunity. He came in first,
you came in second. I came in fifth, which is great.
So we're all in it, you know. But in that league,
you know, there's no body.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Never know, and so you never make the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
So it's it's tricky.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
You never know.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
That's a hard it's a hard run. Yeah, So we
will see what happens in our playoff runs here hopefully
next week when we're on we're talking about our season continuing.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Then when your fantasy season ends, it's because it's so
abrupt and it's just over, and then you gotta wait
nine freaking months for another fantasy season.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Where you were caring about the Carolina Arizona game, and
now you're like what.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
And now you don't care. Yeah, you're caring about the
Browns game. You've got Harold Fan Jr. And now you're
just like, yeah, I don't want to watch that.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
I don't care.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Yeah, it's just so abrupt.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
All right, let's get to your playoff questions that you
have for us this week. You can hit us up
at the show thor at the show Eddie on X,
or you can email us your questions every week. This
question says, I'm heading into the playoffs and DK metcalf
is questionable, should I play Stefan Diggs instead?

Speaker 3 (04:29):
That's Stefan Diggs has kind of fallen off a.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Little boomer bust. He's had like maybe three games that
are decent and then the rest are like, it's weird.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Drake may is at MVP candidate, but sometimes he just
won't throw Stefan Diggs the ball. But then he throws
the ball in big situations like if it's third and
long and then and they need it and then you
first down. Stefan Diggs is catching it, right, you know,
that's where he needs to be.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
But I don't know. I would. I would wait for
the last second and see if I can start.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
DK Metcalf, I totally agree. Yeah, DK is sort of
you know, he's been a little bit of boom or
bust as well, but it seems like Aaron Rodgers, they're
trying to get him the ball, you know, but it
just hasn't happened for that steel their offense as much.
But yeah, I like DK Metcalf definitely if he plays
running back. Question Jordan Mason versus Dallas or Zach Charboney

(05:14):
versus Indianapolis.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
Ah, Man, that's tough too.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
I'd probably go with Charbone just because he's been the
touchdown vulture and Indy. Indy maybe packing it in. I mean,
they've fallen off. They have a hundred year old quarter
Rivers is gonna save the day.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
I mean, I.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Wonder what the players on the team think of this.
They can't be buying into this, Like they gotta think this.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
There are guys in the team that could be his son. Yeah,
it's crazy. Well, and you look at it.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
They're kind of screwed because you can't just trade for
a guy. You can't get really anybody on It's impossible
to get a quarterback right now, so they have no choice.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
But guys can't be buying into this.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
I like Jordan Mason a lot. It seems like okay,
they're they're, you know, giving him the football a little
bit more. Obviously, Aaron Jones kind of lost a step.
He scored a touchdown last week. I like sharbon Ay too.
He's a guy that's gonna get you, you know, probably
ten points every week. You know, he's not he may
sneak a touchdown or two in there, which is great

(06:11):
if it was me. Uh, it's a coin flip. Honestly,
I'm probably gonna go sharbon A, but it's it's not.
I mean, I think you're probably gonna be okay either way. Yeah,
so they're probably gonna get around the same points as one.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Yeah, and that game sneaky because if the Vikings win,
they're kind of still in it if they beat the Cowboys,
which is crazy, so that would be interesting on.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Side, and the Cowboys have a lot to play for. Yeah.
PPR question Juwan Jennings versus Tennessee or Deebo Samuel versus
the Giants.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
They're both gonna have good games. The Giants defense is
I think that's gonna be a shootout because both because
Giants defense is atrocious.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
Uh, but I would It just depends on who plays.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Does Jaydon Daniels play, he may, then I'd start debo
if he Dane Dan doesn't play, I'd go with Juwan Jennings.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Yeah, you know, Uh, both of the guys are kind of,
you know, in the same category as well.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
It was like second thirtie right where.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Deebo, you know, sometimes he has big games and then
sometimes it kind of disappears. Last week he had a
disappear game. Juwan has found the end zone, you know,
that brought parties back. He's really looking for him in
the red zone. So I like Juwan a lot, But
I mean it's hard for me to sit Deebo at
this point in the season against the Giants. Yeah, I mean,
I'd probably give Diebo the slight edge, but that that

(07:27):
one's a tough one. All right, Let's get to our
starts and sits for the week. At quarterback, who's your start?

Speaker 2 (07:33):
I just said, I think this game is going to
be a shootout. I'm hoping the Giants lose and keep
the number one overall pick. But I think I'm starting
Jackson Dart first. The Commanders. He's two, he's two in
one at home. I think I think he'll run in
some touchdowns. And I think the Commanders are They're just
two terrible teams.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
Hey, big boy, I like Jackson Dart there too. I
like Jackson Dart this week too. Listen, Washington's defense is
sick there as.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
Honestly, this game could be like forty to four going
in the four.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
Yeah, I actually think your Giants have a really good
chance of winning this game, which is gonna screw you.
But I like Jackson dark Big this week. I think
he's gonna throw for you know, probably three hundred yards
this week. Who's your shit?

Speaker 2 (08:11):
My sit this week is a guy who has been
on a extreme tear in fantasy, Jacoby Pressett. But that's
extreme tear comes to an end. They just lost their
left tackle and they're playing the Texans, the best defense
in the league.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
So I'm not starting Jacoby Briresett this week.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
We showed it probably ran this spice because my set
this week is again Jacoby Brissett. Listen, you're taking on
the Texans. Texans defense is the best defense in the league,
and so I just don't like Arizona and Arizona's They're not.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Going to have a letdown game like it's it's their
Texans are legit.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Yeah, and Jacoby is the guy the rest of the
way they've they said that kind of Moi's done for
the rest of the season.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Him and Michael Wilson have been on fire. Do you
remember David Boston.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
That's why I think Michael Wilson reminds me of He's
having like these like crazy games. Everybody thinks he's great,
but he's just having this weird run right now.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
For sure. You know running back, who's your start?

Speaker 3 (09:04):
My start as a guy. Listen, this guy gets carries.
I mean he's getting.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Sixteen eighteen, nineteen twenty four carries last week, and that's
so rare in fantasy. So I'm starting Woody Marks against
the Cardinals. They're playing the Cardinals. He's gonna get a
ton of carries. You got to put him in your
life if you have him.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
My start this week is a guy that's come off
the injured list and he doesn't even look like he
was ever hurt. I like Bucky Irving this week against
the foulcon it was last week. It was weird.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
He like was split in touches.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
I mean, you got to use clearly better. He's the
best guy there. So hopefully they figured that out and
give Bucky Irving the ball. Who's your sit?

Speaker 2 (09:39):
My sit this guy. I know you're thinking, oh, he
went for two touchdowns one hundred and fifty yards against
the Browns. He's not doing that against the Niners. I'm
sitting Tony Poller's.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Oh you don't like Tony Poller's well is he? Is
he on one of your teams or he wasn't he was? Yeah, yeah,
I get that for sure. Tony Pollard again a guy
that you kind of think was gonna have a good
week and you know, a good uh you know, and
then he ends up not having a great season. And
so I don't really understand what what's going on with

(10:09):
Tony Pollard. It doesn't make a lot of sense for
me my sit this week again. You know, you kind
of look at what's going on in in the league
and stuff like that. I just there's there's a lot
of matchups that don't make a lot of sense to
me and that I don't love this week. And so, uh,
Chicago's running game is great, I really, you know, I

(10:29):
think that they are fantastic. It's a weird matchup against
Cleveland this week. And so I'm looking at at Swift
and Monoga Eye and those kind of guys, and I
gotta imagine, you know, they're probably gonna give Swift the
ball most of the time. But you know, the only
way you're gonna get points out of monoga Ie is
if he scores touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
I'm in this situation so in the league that I'm
playing with my other buddies league that where I'm losing
Drake London, I have Swift and Managhi whatever.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
So I'm gonna art Swift yeah and just roll.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
Yeah. I like Swift way more than I like monogan Ie.
I So my sit is monogan I just because I
don't know that he's going to score a touchdown. That's
the only way he's gonna get points. So that would
be my sit this week, Wide, Receiver, who's your start?

Speaker 3 (11:13):
My start? Again?

Speaker 2 (11:14):
I think this game is going to be a shootout
between two bad teams. The Giants have no answer for
Tyre McLaurin, and I think he's gonna go off, especially
if jadon Daniel's place.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
That would be good. I have him in one of
my leaders. Yeah, I would like that. My start this
week is a guy that he just I don't understand
why they don't throw him the ball in the red
zone at all. It makes no sense. But I just
gotta imagine that this game is going to be high
scoring as well. Because Cincinnati's defense is so bad and

(11:43):
Baltimore has to win this game. So I like Zay
Flowers this week. He may not score a touchdown, but
he's gonna get a lot of catches.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
Bro, do you think if they don't make the playoffs,
is there a chance John Harball gets the ax there?

Speaker 3 (11:55):
He's been there for eighteen years. This is this was
supposed to be their year.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
I know, but Lamar has been banged up and things
like that. It's interesting. I don't know. I don't Yeah,
it is who's.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Your sit the Colts receiving corps they're playing, I have
Michael Pittman Junior as the guy, but you're playing one
of the best defenses and secondaries in the league anyway.
At Seattle, your quarterback is either a forty four year
old Philip Rivers or Riley Leonards or hurt. So it's like,
I'm not It sucks because if you've been riding with
jon Warren, Warren Michael Pittmans out here, even even if

(12:30):
you've been riding with Jonathan Taylor. I mean, if I'm
the Seahawks, I'm just going to sack the box for sure.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
So like you're just screwed right now. It stinks.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
My shit this week is a guy who's had a
couple of good weeks. He you know, he showed up
for the Packers, but I don't like him against the Broncos.
Christian Watson is my shit this week. You know you
kind of look at at the receiving corps. You know
you'll maybe see Romeo Dobbs get in there, read his back,
you know, Watson. Eventually there's too many mouths de feed.

(12:57):
So I don't like Christian Watson this week against a
tough Denver defense. It's tight end. Who's your start?

Speaker 2 (13:01):
I was so so wrong last week when I said
start Darren Walls. Oh Man, this week, I'm not gonna
be wrong. Yeah, this guy and Shador Sanders have a
little connection going on. I'm starting Harrold Fannon Junior at Chicago.
He's he's getting tons of targets, he's getting touchdowns. He
had one hundred yards last week. Harrold finn and Junior.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Honestly, surprisingly, he was close to being one of my starts.
I was looking at him and I was like, oh, maybe,
but I like this start a little bit more. I
like Jake Ferguson this week. Dallas again, a game you
have to win. You've got to beat the Vikings. Jake
Ferguson's been finding the end zone. Dak Prescott is playing,
you know, at MVP level. So I like Jake Ferguson
a lot. This week, who's your sit.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
Pat Fryarmouth against the Dolphins. I just never know who
Aaron Rodgers is gonna throw the ball to. It's gonna
be JOHNO Smith, It's gonna be Pat Fryarmouth. I don't
trust that offense, and it sucks because I have Jalen
Warren and I just don't trust anyone on that offense.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
But I have to start him. Yeah, but it's been okay, Yeah,
he's he gets you like ten points a game.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
But game while steals all his touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
It's crazy.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
It's like they get in the fifteen yard line and
Mike Tomlin says, all right, we.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Know thor has I don't think.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
I don't think, so sit Friar, move.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
My sit this week again. A guy I gotta imagine
at this point in the season, he's you know, lost
a step. He's We've seen this over the over the years.
He had a couple of good games, But I am
not starting Travis Kelcey this week. Travis Kelsey against the.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Chargers, seeing the end of him on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
Honestly, when that that last play and he just he
just doesn't look good anymore.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Honestly, My some my wife Haley and I were watching
the game and she goes, she stops and she's you know,
she watches from the time of time, and she looks
at me and she.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
Goes, is it just me? Just he looks so much
slower than everybody.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
Else, And I go, yeah, he kind of does.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
He just looks so much slower.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
And I go, he's still fast compared to us, but
compared like all these young athletes, he just looks like
he's moving slow mover.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
And I gotta imagine at some point Mahomes is gonna
be like, I gotta stop trying to feed him the
ball like there's other guys. You know, he doesn't look right.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
I think he probably wanted to come back for another year.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
How how you know he's got to after this? Yeah,
So I don't like Travis kelce this week. All right,
there you go. Hopefully we are back next week talking
about our big playoff wins, and hopefully you go out
there and get a win as well.
