first week, how did your teams look?

Not great? Oh well, I mean my bigger players didn't
show up. Yeah, so I'm not that concerned yet. I mean,
Nico Collins, T Higgins, Joe Burrow, Almon Ross, Saint Brown,
and Malik Neighbors to a certain study of twelve points
which I didn't draft the neighbors for twelve points. So
those five guys, I mean, I have him on all

three different teams, all were terrible, especially Nico Burrow and Higgins.
In one league, I have Nico Burrow and Higgins and
they got like a combined nine points. So like, but
that's not gonna happen every week, I mean, and if
it does, that's a massive fantasy busts. And because who's
not drafting any of those guys, you know, it's not
like I was sold on Omarion Hampton drafted of high
and he's stunk. I wasn't counting on that. So I'm

not overly concerned. I'm more concerned about like my Isaiah
Pacheco pick, because I had to draft a running back.
He was atrocious. They barely give him the ball. I
don't understand it, Like Kareem Hunt a hundred, why is
he still getting the ball. So I'm very concerned about that.
But even then, I'm not panicking yet because it's only
week one.

He also had some injuries too, dude.

In one league, I had George Kittle go on ir
so that sucked, and then I had Drake London has
a shoulder sprain, same league, and he's day to day,
but that's just any plays Sunday night, So that stinks.
So I don't know what to do. There not no
word yet. And then in my other league, my main
league that we're both in, I have brock Bauers who
has a knee sprain and he plays Monday night and

that's day to day. So the brock Bowers thing, I
may just hold off and if he can't play, pick
up his backup, because I mean, I don't want to
pick up somebody that I don't need.

three and oh in my here, yeah, listen, it's again.
It's week one. I'm not freaking out one way or
the other. But my team performed really good. And obviously
I have Josh Allen in two leagues, and that guy
alone was I mean just incredible.

Well, so he had he was having a good game,
and then in the last four minutes got me like
an extra fifteen points. So that's just I mean, that's crazy.
And so in two of my leagues, I have Josh Allen,
and in both of those leagues, I was one or
two points away from having the highest points, which sucks
because I was like, man, I was almost there, you know,

having highest points in the league, and then I just
just barely missed it. But it was okay, now I
will take them. I know that they're few and far
between sometimes, you know. So I was happy to start
three and oh, it's always a good week when you
could do something like that. So not a bad first week.
So let's get into our new segment. Our new segment
is called fools Gold, and really you only do this

in week one because week one is all the overreactions
and all that stuff. So here's how this is gonna
work for I'm gonna throw out a name, and you
tell me fools Gold, like this guy is not for real.
I'm not gonna pick this guy up, or I'm not
gonna be starting or we got something there, so you
can tell me one way or the other. Okay, let's

start with the guy who you know has had a
kind of a rough start to his career. He's shown flashes,
but overall not sure exactly what you're gonna get out
of Chargers Wide receiver Quinton Johnson.

This is this is actually a tough one. He hasn't
been great, but I would say it's a if you
could stash him. See if you could stash him, because yes,
they have Keenan Allen who played well again and they
I think Lad McConkey was overdrafted, So I think Quinton Johnston.
I don't think lap hockey's gonna be bad. I just

think he was overdrafted. So I think Quinton Johnston could
be a little bit of a touchdown guy, like you
could he could have under a thousand yards, but like
twelve touchdowns this year. Yeah, so but I would I
wouldn't pick I'd pick him up, but I wouldn't start him.

Fields in all my leagues. I got him in one
of my leagues just because of the rushing touchdowns. Listen,

but I don't think the Steelers saw it coming. Other

if they didn't have Jalen Carter, that whole If they
had Jalen Carter, that whole game is different. They don't
run the ball as much. It's a completely different game
for the Eagles and the Cowboys. So they're playing a
team that can't stop the run this week in the Giants,
so here on. So I would start him this weekend,

but after that, I think it's fools Gold. He doesn't
look like the same guy he was a few years ago.

saw it. I mean, the guy could do it. He'd
do anything on the football field. So they're gonna feed

guy that was still available in a lot of a
lot of leagues. Yeah, you know, so if you were
able to snag him. He again, he's a guy I
don't know if you're starting him every week at least

not a bad guy to have on your bench.

No, and this week against the Eagles, egle secondaries to
kind of suspect. So I would start him. But when
Rahi Rice comes back. I think it's actually going to
help him more because he's more of a stud number
two than he is a number one.

All right, last guy, Jagg's running back Travis Etienne, who
had one hundred and forty three yards rushing. We know
what we went through last season where the guy barely played.
He couldn't beat out Tink Bisbee. But now all of
a sudden he's back again, or is he?

I know they traded Biggs beat of the Eagles and
Travis atn is the guy. I don't trust him. He
burned me last year in fantasy. I don't trust him.

Lawrence is that good. He missed he had Travis Hunter
wide open for a touchdown, underthrew him. I just he
has all the tools. I still think he's that good.

running backs in that spot anyway because they're gonna get
fed the rock quite a bit. Was impressive. I'm not
gonna lie. I was a guy that was very hesitant
and the draft I didn't draft him at all. Rookies
make me nervous that kind of a thing. I think
Houston is due for a better game, too. I can't
believe they just didn't look so good on offense. Yeah,

so I'm I'm gonna I'm gonna go with Henderson in
that one PPR League flex position Deebo Samuel against Green
Bay or Keenan Allen against the Raiders.

The Giants are terrible, so I don't think Debo is
gonna replicate what he did in Week one, and I
think Keenan Allen is still Herbert's like go to guy
what he needs when he needs a first down or
a touchdown. So I'm gonna stick with Keenan Allen.

I'm gonna disagree a little bit. I understand what you're saying.
I think Green Bay obviously is better than the Giants,
so I think they're gonna do a better job against
the Commanders. But I gotta go with Deebo just because
they're using him the way he should be used. You

Keenan is gonna kind of come back down to earth

Is Jordan Mason. Jordan Mason, he's the guy there. Yeah,
I mean I know Aaron Jones is the starter. I

going to get the ball and in between the twenties,
he's gonna get the ball. So if he's runshing the ball,

and I was kind of scratching my head. Jerome Ford

looks like it's going to be Dylan Sampson, who had
the most touches the Browns. Brown Sorry, but they're at
the Ravens. Sorry, So the Browns and and Dylan. I
don't know. I'm not starting anybody in that backfield.

Zach Jarberne and all these guys shut him down. Yeah,
he completely shut him down. And so you know, the

San Francisco defense is going to be stout against the run.

is always going to be pretty good, but I think

those five guys, I mean, I have him on all

three different teams, all were terrible, especially Nico Burrow and Higgins.
In one league, I have Nico Burrow and Higgins and
they got like a combined nine points. So like, but
that's not gonna happen every week, I mean, and if
it does, that's a massive fantasy busts. And because who's
not drafting any of those guys, you know, it's not
like I was sold on Omarion Hampton drafted of high
and he's stunk. I wasn't counting on that. So I'm

not overly concerned. I'm more concerned about like my Isaiah
Pacheco pick, because I had to draft a running back.
He was atrocious. They barely give him the ball. I
don't understand it, Like Kareem Hunt a hundred, why is
he still getting the ball. So I'm very concerned about that.
But even then, I'm not panicking yet because it's only
week one.

He also had some injuries too, dude.

In one league, I had George Kittle go on ir
so that sucked, and then I had Drake London has
a shoulder sprain, same league, and he's day to day,
but that's just any plays Sunday night, So that stinks.

word yet. And then in my other league, my main
league that we're both in, I have brock Bauers who
has a knee sprain and he plays Monday night and

may just hold off and if he can't play, pick

be a little bit of a touchdown guy, like you

This is the guy I thought was was gonna have
a big year because of whose quarterback was coming in
and it was just he and he's still had something
left in the tank. And the quarterback cam Ward looked
pretty good in week one. This guy looked awful. Talk
about Calvin Ridley, he had three drop just he just
ever since he left the Falcons got suspended, he hasn't

been the same guy. He has his moments, but against
the Rams, I'm sitting.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
Them, all right, My sit this guy week is a
guy who was banged up after Week one, not really
sure what was going on with him. But Juwan Jennings
for the forty nine ers, I don't know if he's
even gonna play. I mean, they're saying it's not as
bad as the god Pert. That's the reason why I'm
really gonna sit him is even if he does play,
who's thrown to him? If it's mac Jones, forget it.

Just give me a game that Purdy doesn't play, Jenny's
doesn't play, and Kittles out for but they sneak out

start him regularly, but because of who the matchup is.
And I'm talking about Breton Strange at Cincinnati. Jeez, now listen,

to myself the Browns had both tight ends go for over,
not go for over, combined for over one hundred yards.

So that tells me the Bengals are trouble covering tight ends.
Strange was the leading receiver last week for the Jaguars.
Grant was only fifty nine yards. That's still something. So
I'm going with Breton Strange this week.

Wow, my start this week is a guy that I
actually really really like. I only got him in one

talking about Sam Laporta for the Lions taking on the Bears.

Yeah, I mean Jared Goff didn't look very good. Am

But I think Detroit bounces back this week, and I

I just think it's the situation. T Higgins and Jamar
Chase did nothing. Joe Burrow did nothing. They had seven
yards of offense in the second half. I never say
anything like that. He's not going to get the balled
all this week. This is gonna be the Joe Morrow,
Jamar Chase, T Higgins show, sit Mike KASICKI. They may
score one hundred points, but it ain't going to I'd

But reality is about to strike the Colts and so
I am sitting all worldwide started rookie tight end Tyler
Warren against the Broncos. I think the Brondan Jones, I know,
but I'm honestly rooting for him. You know, I like

Indiana Jones, okay, but not this week, man. I think
the Broncos may shut him out.
Speaker 3 (22:22):
Like I know that.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
You know, we had this big outburst and thirty three
points and this and that you.
Speaker 3 (22:26):

I've been there, Colts fans, Oh, Daniel Jones gives you
one good game and you go, he looks the part,
he works hard, and you're like, well, wait a minute,
maybe it was just the Giants goofy, look get ready
to come back down there.
