Speaker 1 (00:01):
Well, injuries are never a good thing when it comes
to fantasy football. But when you go kind of all
in on a player and they go down, season over,
we got to talk about Thor and his boy Joe Burrow.

(00:21):
It's time to.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Review your fantasy teams.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Here now, your commissioners, it's time for fantasy freaking football. Yeah,
is not good. No, I mean there are a lot
of big name players that are already dropping like flies. Man.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
I have a lot of them.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
You really do. You have been snake fits? You know,
this is what happens sometimes when you have a couple
of good seasons and then you're just due, you know,
for one of these kind of things to happen. But yeah,
you're your teams are riddled with injuries.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Yeah. And in one league I had Party and Kidd'll
go out in week one and then and then also
in that league, I had Justin Fields get hurt. So
in two weeks I had Perty and Kittle and then
Justin Fields hmm. And then in my other league that
win with me, you and our buddies, I have Joe
Burrow and Brock Bowers. So Brock Bowers, even though he played,

(01:17):
he was still hurt. And then in our work league
Joe Burrow. So two leagues, two burrows.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah, that's tough. Yeah, right, speaking of that tight end
of yours, we have to talk about it. Thor and
I played each other in our league and it was
crazy what ended up happening. So you were kind of
debating all week long what to do with Brock Bauers,
because you know, he was on the injured list with

(01:43):
his leg injury all that stuff. Wasn't sure he was
going to play. Then all of a sudden, he does practice,
they say he's cleared, he's fine, he is going to play.
So it comes down to me and Thor playing each other,
and it's the last game of the night. So you're
kind of either in on Brock Powers or you're not.
I mean, it's kind of a it was a tough
spot to be in. Yeah, you decided to roll the

(02:05):
dice and go with Brock Powers, and you know, it
seemed like it was a good move to me. I
was like, Okay, I had about a ten point lead
or so going into the the to the game, and
but you still have Rock powers.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Well, as you saw if you watch the game, Brock
had whatever game, he wasn't great he was bad.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Was horrid.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
He was he was pretty bad.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
He was horrific, was pretty bad. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
So Brock caught about five passes for whatever, fifty yards
or whatever. So it was all about ten points.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
So what was the final score between.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
I ended up falling short? Eddie had one twenty four
point sixty eight. I had one twenty four point six,
four point zero four. I lost by a yard because
if he if he if he goes one more yard.
I feel like I get that. I think like it's
twenty four point six.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
I legitimately actually feel bad because that.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
I lost by a yard point zero four. The worst
part is you didn't see it. The worst part is
because it was late, so I should have went to bed.
I didn't go to bed till late Monday night. The
Chargers get the ball back because Gino Smith takes a
sack on fourth down, which is insane that to do
that to scramb away. No, that's the second so the

(03:21):
first time he he has he he he would look
at some guy immediately come off of them and then
just get panicky in the pocket. And he started to
scramble and took a sack. So I'm like, well, that's
the game because there's like three forty left. But then
on the first hand off to American Hampton, he fumbles
and the Raiders get the ball back. So I'm like, oh,
I need to catch the chance. Oh I need a catch.

(03:41):
First play goes to Bowers and complete second play he
has Bowers open. He beat Derwin James Derwin, James is
holding his arm and it hits off Bowers hands. No flag.
Next play that what nothing? And then fourth down he.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Throws it away. On fourth down, just throw it in
the air. Who cares that. That's a brutal way to lose.
We've all been there before. Yeah, I actually kind of
feel bad, not really, but I mean it's terrible.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
But now now I'm one in one in two leagues,
but in this league, which is why I won the championship,
and I'm oh and two and I'm getting a little panicky.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
I mean it's I'm getting a little two weeks.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Because I lost. Joe Burrow, Bowers is hurt. Pa Checko sucks.
So I'm getting a little panicky. Okay, I made so
I made a bunch of moves. Really I did. Why
I picked up not bad. I picked up a new kicker,
a new defense, and a new quarterback.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
So you know, in we still got a lot of
fantasy left. Like you got to calm down.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
I texted my buddy Jeff, biggest p one we have
in the show, and I said, I played him this
week and I said, I have to win this. This
is my season.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
When are you asking him to like lay down for you?

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Nice?

Speaker 1 (04:49):
How that works? That's not how it works. Uh So, yeah,
I mean it is. It is tough starting oh and two,
but there's tons of time left. I think you'll be fine.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
I hope. So yeah, I too, I hope. So no,
I know you are. So I know.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
He's letting you know that point zero four really helped.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
I know it did.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
I appreciate it. Yeah, So yeah, this is it's getting
a little crazy. So quarterback is really the spot, dude,
Jayden Daniels, JJ McCarthy, all these big quarterbacks went down
justin fields like you said, And of course Joe Burrow
and Bertie and perty all is so funny. So what's

(05:26):
the move here? What are you gonna do?

Speaker 2 (05:27):
So I in one league, I got lucky and Jordan
Love was there, and Jordan Love is I mean, I
I at least I know I'm gonna get consistent points.
They're playing great, so I get fifty to twenty points
when Jordan, I'll take them. Remember Burrow only got me
eight points in week one and seven in week two.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
So that was a complete By the way, that's the
other thing. By point zero four, he throws one more
pass I lose. I mean it's crazy.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Yeah. So in the league that I lost to you
by zero point zero four, yeah I didn't. I picked
up Trevor Lawrence just becau because there's no one else there. Yeah,
and then but I'm I don't think I'm gonna start
him this week. I think I'm gonna start Aaron Rodgers
this week because I like who they're playing. And then
in the other league that I'm in, which is our
work league that I had, uh Joe Burrow, there's no

(06:15):
one left. So I picked up just I just picked
up Aaron Rodgers, and I may pick up Stafford if
he's still on the way.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
You're just gonna start like streaming quarterbacks. I don't think
Aaron Rodgers is a terrible choice.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
The Patriots defense isn't that great, right, So.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Yeah, I think it's it's it's not terrible. Yeah, but
a lot of people are in this spot. If you
got uh Joe Burrow, Yeah, you're gonna have to look
at that waiver wire and see if he can work
some magic.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
At this point, I I like to stream kickers and
defenses all year.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Yeah, That's what I do all year.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
So at this point I'm just gonna do the same
thing for quarterback. Because after you get out of the
you know, the Lamar's, the Hurts, the Burrows, the Allens.
It's kind of like everyone gets. It's kind of like
could be consistent. Yeah, who could get me fifteen?

Speaker 1 (07:02):
If you can get lucky and have a Jared Goff
that like Jared Goff had last week. He's great, that's great,
But how often is that?

Speaker 2 (07:08):
How exactly? So if you can get me between fifteen
and twenty points as a quarterback, I'd be I'm excited
about that. Okay, Yeah, that's kind of how I'm looking
at right.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Yeah, it's really tough.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Sucks because I drafted to Burrow in the fourth round.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
That's your guy. Oh, that's your guy. Oh.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
I have Higgins in one league, in our work league.
He's gonna I'm so tired of here about Jake Browning.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Think about well, think about you know, most PPR leagues,
who was the number one pick, Chase Chase, and now
that pick is probably not as good as it was before.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Everyone's telling me that Jake Browning is going to be
this great quarterback because he's okay. Two years ago he
was eh and for like for like two games now
where he's gonna play the rest and.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
He's not Joe Burrow. I mean it's dulous. He's okay,
but I don't know. All right, let's get to your questions.
You could email us your questions every week or hit
us up on x at the show thor at the
show Eddie, and we will try to get to your
questions every week. Got a flex question for you guys.
He says, if Xavier Worthy is cleared to play this weekend,

(08:09):
should I start him over T Higgins knowing that Joe
Burrow is or is out, or do I just go
with it Wandell Robinson over both of them?

Speaker 2 (08:18):
I would start Xavier Worthy over T Higgins. Yeah, I don't.
I I was looking to try to trade T Higgins.
I just don't trust Browning at all and that offense.
I think he's going to be become the Jamar Chase Show.
And that's it. But and even if I don't even
know if Chase can do that much, I think I would.
I'm starting all Chiefs this week. The Giants are atrocious
on defense.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
The injury doesn't scare you off if he if he plays,
I mean even if he plays, like, I don't know
how much they're gonna use him. Maybe I don't know
a threat target. I don't. I mean, I don't know, man,
I that would scare me off. I would. I would
stick with t Higgins for at least one more week.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Ah, yeah, because I wouldn't touch Wandell Robinson.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
No, yeah, I mean that was that was, you know,
kind of a no game for the Giants offense. I
think when you agree.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
I would, Yeah, unless I see it again, We're not
going to see it again.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
Yeah, Like like, yeah, I'm going with Tea Uh at
wide receiver. Who do you like? Who would you start?
Between Terry McLaurin and Zay Flowers?

Speaker 2 (09:14):
I mean, Zay Flowers is having a pretty good year.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
I'm scary Terry Uh. He has been non existent first
couple of games. And if Jade Daniels doesn't play, I'm
definitely not starting Terry McLaurin. And this is what happens.
We see it every year when somebody holds out, it
takes him a while to get going. And that's what
happened with Terry. You know, he held out and you
know we haven't seen the.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Production yet to practice. Man talking about practice.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
That's okay, This question says love the podcast, Thank you.
Two part question for flex Who should I start? David
Montgomery or Brian Thomas Junior.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Brian Thomas Junior has been not great to start the
year and he's kind of hurt right now and questionable.
The Texans are ozer and too. I would go with Montgomery.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
The only way I'm going with Montgomery is, you know
he does vulture touchdowns. You know, he is kind of
like the goal line guy. You saw that last week.
Even though Gibbs got plenty of you know, opportunities and
things like that. But Montgomery will sneak in those, yeah,
those from here and there. Brian Thomas should be the guy.
He's your top pick probably, and so you would hope
that he figures this out and stops dropping balls.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
But I want to know who your other receivers are though,
because if your other receivers are Are they as good
as Brian Thomas?

Speaker 1 (10:27):
This is so he's got to have two other good receivers.
The second question is is Thorn going to pick up
Indiana Jones since Burrow went down? No, Daniel Jones. What
a pickup that would be.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Yeah, I'm not going to pick up Daniel Jones as
the MVP. I'd I'd rather have my toenails pilled out
by a pair of pliers. Daniels. If he wins your
fantasy he's not. He's I get it. He's had two
good weeks of football. I've seen him do this. He's
a extremely streaky player. Wow, this is a state. He
didn't magically learn how to post snap process. He just

(11:01):
has had two good games. You hate this guy, Martin,
Listen as the problem with Daniel Jones that I saw
for six years is that when other teams figure out
what he's doing, he can't adjust. So just give it time. Wow,
And if I'm wrong. If I'm wrong and he has
a great season and I'm talking thirty touchdowns, eight picks
like a great season, not fifteen and five like in

(11:24):
twenty twenty two, I will come on this podcast and
I will say I was wrong. Daniel Jones is a
good quarterback. The Giants screwed him up. Jersey No, No.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
No, Colt Jersey. No. Final question is a trade question.
I always love trade questions. This is a half point
PPR league that somebody offered me Javonte Williams for Davonte Adams.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Thoughts on that, again, it just depends on who your
running backs are. If you don't have any running backs
after Javonte Williams, I wouldn't give him up.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Well, it also depends on, like, am I really hurting
losing Davonte too, which if it's just straight up looking
at it on the you know, base level, no, I
wouldn't do that trade. I think Davante's worth way more.
He's still really good than Javonte. Davonte Javonte.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Unless you really need a running if.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
You're desperate for a running back, maybe I would maybe
counter offer with somebody a little bit less valuable than
Davante Adams because Javante. Listen, we've seen two solid weeks
from Javonte. He's got a few touchdowns, which is nice.
But let's not act like he's going to be you know,
Saquon Barkley out there that he had last year. I mean,
that's just not going to happen. Javante is a solid

(12:36):
two or.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Three better played. I know they played the Eagles in
Week one, but that was without their best player because
he spit in someone's face. And then they played the
Giants team who couldn't stop Eddy and I behind the
lines of grimmage.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Oh so it's like, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
So so it's like I got to see more with Chavante.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Yeah, I mean, I'm again, Davante has been playing really
good and so yeah, I would pump the brakes on
that trade. All right, let's get to our starts and
sits for the week. At quarterback, who's your start?

Speaker 2 (13:02):
This guy's had a reel Jones. No, this guy's had
a rough two weeks. But this defense is atrocious. I
mean I was watching. I love following guys on TikTok
who break down on Twitter, who break down the All
twenty two. The Dallas defense is maybe. I mean, the
Giants are the worst in the league. They maybe the
second worst in the league. So I think Caleb Williams
will finally have a nice game against the Cowboys, and
I'm going with kayleb Waims because he may still be

(13:23):
available in your league.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Yeh, that makes sense. Another guy who may be available
in your league who I think is gonna have a
big week is Michael Pennix Junior. I think I think Pennix.
You know, listen, if you look at the amount of
starts he's at, it hasn't been a lot. So he's
still a work in progress somewhat. But you're taking on Carolina. Yeah,
why can't Carolina figure it out? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
I thought they did the end of last sight.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Yeah, but Bryce Young again doesn't look like he's a
good player, and the team looks like they're terrible. Again.
They were a lot of people's like sneaky playoff team,
and no Carolina is atrocious. Falcons look pretty good.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Yea.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
They won handily on Monday Night. So I think Michael
Pennix actually puts together a pretty good game and does
well against Carolina.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
Who's your sit, the great Jake Browning? What you're playing,
You're playing a really good Vikings defense on the road.
He is gonna get They're gonna lose.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
Wow, They're gonna lose.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
And now listen, Carson Wentz isn't any better, but the
Vikings defense is good. I the name of the defense
coordinator Escafely. For some reason, Brian Flores. Brian Flores will
have Jake Browning in a bodyback. Wow. Okay, wow, Sorry.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
My sit this week is a guy who's coming off
a massive performance. But I think they're coming back down
to earth this week. And I'm talking about Jared Goff
and the Lions. Tough matchup against Baltimore this week, So
don't expect, you know, fifty some points again by the Lions.
I just don't think it's gonna happen. I think Jared
Golf may struggle this on the road and on the road,

(14:53):
so yeah, it could be tough running back. Who is
your start?

Speaker 2 (14:57):
This guy is is probably gonna end up being a
bus for the season, but in this game he's gonna
eat because the team that he's playing could not stop
the run. The chief The Chiefs are due there. This
is personal. The Chiefs are not going to go zero
and three. The Giants had a better shot being the
Patriots super Bowl forty two than they do of being
the Chiefs this Sunday, Isaiah putcheck.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Oh you're not gonna go with the cream Hunt.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
No, I'm gonna go with Isaiah put Check. I mean
Hunt may go off too. They're gonna combine form probably rushing.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Oh no, this is very personal.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
Guys.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
My start this week is a guy that always gets
forgotten about, and I don't know why, because this guy
is putting together a Hall of Fame career. I considered
him at some points at the draft and it just
didn't wasn't able to work it out and get him.
He is a guy that both Thorn and I had
last year, and he had awesome season for us, and
he is a big part of their success this so

(15:49):
far this season. I'm talking about Jonathan Taylor from the Colts.
I mean this Colts team. I can't believe that they're
two and zero. Yeah, it doesn't make sense to me,
but I I'm gonna give cred more to Taylor than
Daniel Jones. Uh taking on Tennessee another team, I can't
figure out. Why can't Tennessee figure I don't. It just
doesn't make any sense because they have a decent defense, honestly,

(16:10):
and can you imagine.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Kim Wore is not that bad either.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
He's playing pretty good. But if we come on here
next weekend and the Colts are three and oh that's
that'd be stunning. And so if they do win this game,
I think it's because of Jonathan Taylor. So I like
Jonathan Taylor this week? Who's your SID?

Speaker 2 (16:24):
I have two guys for my sit here, two guys
that can you do. I'm changing the roads. Two guys
that everyone said you got draft this guy, got draft
that guy, Trayvon Henderson for the Patriots, who's going up
against the Steelers. And r J. Harvey for the the Rooks,
who's going up against the Chargers. You don't draft rookies.
I never did it. Draft rookies unless they're Saquon Barkley

(16:45):
or Jean Robinson. Even Robinson had a rough.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Rue Rashian Genty makes sense, but look at the season.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Even he's exactly So it's really tough to draft rookies
unless they're general or or like receivers. They need to
be like Molik Neighbors or Rock Bowers, like just guys
who you know are gonna hit. Treymon Henderson, RJ. Harvey
were just I think what happens is, Eddie. We talk
so much about fantasy football and football in like the
month of August that these analysts start convincing themselves that,

(17:12):
oh RJ. Harvey is going to be the next big thing. O.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
Marion Hampton didn't even start.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Didn't even start, and then he had a big fumble. Yes,
I'm not saying he's a bust. He just he It's
just I could work out eventually, shocked if they reel
him in a little bit and give the ball to
Nause and ease him back into it.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
Look, Romandre Stevenson put together a huge week, and so
everybody forgot about what I got Romandre in like the
tenth round. Yeah, and so because everybody was like, oh,
it's Tremon Henderson's team, No, it ain't.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Yeah. At with Hampton, it's like he's probably gonna be
a top ten running back in the NFL eventually, but
it takes a while, exactly, it takes. I'm not starting
any of those guys.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
My sid is a guy who came out of the
gate really hot and then came back down to earth
a little bit. And they're going to be taking on
a very tough defense this week. Travis Etienne Junior is
not gonna have a good week against Houston. That Houston
defense is really good. They're one of the best in
the league. They just you know, I don't know what's

(18:07):
going on with CJ. Stroud. I just don't. I feel
like he's really regressed. I mean, the whole offense. I
don't know what's going on. But I just think their
defense is good enough. So I just don't think that
the Jaguars are gonna have a good week this week.
Wide receiver, who's your start?

Speaker 2 (18:20):
You're gonna like this one?

Speaker 1 (18:21):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Here we go. So Justin Fields is officially out concussion,
so they're gonna start Tyrod Taylor. Is Tyron Taylor better
than Justin FIELDZ? I would argue that they're up there
the same. But because Tyrod Taylor's playing, he's a good passer.
Now he'll probably get injured because he's always injured. That
being said, if he's playing, I'm starting Garrett Wilson.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
You say, I'm gonna like that because I have n't
you have Garrett Wilson, which he was not good last week?

Speaker 2 (18:43):
No, he wasn't because Justin Fields can't throw the ball.
But I'm starting Garrett Wilson this week.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Okay, my start this week kind of goes along with
your start at quarterback. This is a guy that I
targeted in a lot of my leagues and I didn't
get him, which sucks because I really thought Roma Duneesa
was gonna take a step up, and he has so far.
H He's clearly the number one guy there now over
Dj Moore. Clearly Caleb and him have a thing going.
I think Rome Adunsay is going to continue to show

(19:10):
and shine against Dallas. So I think Rome is gonna
go off again. Who's your sit?

Speaker 2 (19:16):
My sit is a guy I was targeting in fantasy,
in the draft, in every league, and I'm lucky I
didn't get him. Oh, he has been a nightmare for
two weeks. And I'm talking about Calvin Ridley. What happened
at Calvin Ridley? He was like a top five receiver
within the in I know, we got spend it for
a year and then he just never. Dude, you miss
a year of football. It's so hard to get it back.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
I had moments last year, moments, but but I mean
I thought this year, though Cam woarred.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Because there was such a good deep ball, was gonna
get him back. And nope, So I'm staying away from
Calvin Ridley.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
My sit this week is a guy we just talked
about earlier. Terry McLaurin. Again, I don't know what's going
on with Terry. If Jaydon Daniels doesn't play, I'm definitely
not I'm not gonna touch the commander's offense. Uh So,
I just I don't know what's going on. Maybe this
is the week he starts figuring it out. You're taking
it on Vegas. We'll see, But I just I don't know.
He just doesn't look right to me, and I haven't

(20:09):
been impressed with anything I've seen. So he's my sit
this week at tight end. Who's your start?

Speaker 2 (20:13):
Another chief, I'm not the biggest stop doing this. I'm
not the biggest Travis Kelcey fan wearing the free four
jersey like a jackass last week when when the guy
admitted that to when the guy pleaded it's guilty to
three foony charges. Boy, real smart, Travis. But the Giants
are down to their fifth string linebacker. They can't cover anyone.

(20:34):
You see what Jay Ferguson did. Start Travis Kelsey.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
This Okay, my start this week is a guy that
we're gonna start. We need to start putting some respect
on the name Zach Ertz. Zach Ertz. We nobody was
gonna draft him, and if you did, it was kind
of late and you were like, I need a tight end.
What am I gonna do? Oh, zach Ertz is there.
I guess I'll take him. Guys scored both weeks.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
It's crazy.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
I am stunned that zach Ertz is doing as well
as he is. I know what I just said about
the Commander's offense. I'm sticking with that. But if you
do have a backup in there, Marcus Mariota, he's gonna
look to dump off passes, and so I actually think
zach Ertz, out of anybody, may have a good game.
So I'm gonna go with zach Ertz as my start.
Who's your sit?

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Another guy another one that I'm surprised about, And then
I tried to get during the draft, but it just
didn't work out. Evan Ingram. I thought going to Sean Payton,
who loves athletic tight ends. Jimmy Graham. There's somebody else
I'm missing.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
You name one loves them.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
Yeah, I thought for sure he'd have a big year.
Four catches for thirty three yards in two games. It's atrocious,
and they're playing the Chargers and Derwin James is the truth.
He's a freak show. So I was standing away from
everick ingram.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
My sit this week again hasn't been that impressive, and
now they're gone to their backup quarterback. I'm going to
sit TJ. Hawkinson. Yeah, listen the vit Kings. You know
they've now lost JJ McCarthy. Aaron Jones done, he's out
as well. So my Jordan Mason pick is looking pretty good.
I'm happy about that. Yeah, But like like the Jay,

(22:11):
the Justin Jefferson picks, like that's gonna.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
St We talked about that early be tough. I like JJ,
but man, that's I just you knew he was gonna
be some and and and then the injuries.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
Now yeah, I mean listen, Carson wentz Uh. I don't
know how I feel about Carson.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
I would love to know what the story is with car.
I mean, it's crazy MVP candidate. He blows out his knee,
they win the Super Bowl, and he was never the same.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
He wasn't even close. He didn't want him, got rid.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
Of him, like the teammates didn't like him anymore.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
And now he's just bouncing around the league. And like
you kind of surprised that he even has a job.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
And you never really heard good things that I'm like,
was he just like an ass?

Speaker 1 (22:50):
But he was okay in Indianapolis when he played there,
he was pretty good. Yeah, And I was like, okay
when they got rid of him.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Because remember they were supposed to win that they had
to win and in at the end of the year
and they lost, Yeah, and then they got rid of him.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
Like, I can't figure out Carson Wentz. Now, does he
have the talent to get you some points? Probably, But
I just do anybody trust Carson Wentz to come in
and win a game. I'm not really And so I
think TJ. Hawkinson, good luck. I mean, I don't know
what you're gonna get out of that Vikings team this week,
all right, So Thor hopefully no more injuries, no more

(23:25):
injuries for you, and hopefully you go out there and
get a win.

Stuff You Should Know
Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
