Speaker 1 (00:01):
Have you had your draft yet? Well, four has had
all three of his drafts. I've had two out of
my three. My third one is tonight. So you're gonna
find out who are who is on our teams? What's
a guy that like we went with on all of
our teams that we're all in on stuff like that,
who's our big sleepers? While you're about to find out,

(00:25):
it's time to.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Review your fantasy teams.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Now, commissioners, it's time for fantasy freakin' football. Oh, it's real.
Now we got our teams. This is gonna get crazy,
real fast. Football is back tomorrow. Like, how crazy is that?
It's awesome. We're actually gonna have games.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
This weekday, Friday, Sunday, Monday.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
It's unbelievable. So here we are. We had our drafts
now Thor and I are in two leagues together, and
then we have one league where we're in separate. One
is my OG league that I've been in in for
twenty plus years, twenty five years. And then that draft
is tonight, So I'll let you know next week how
that draft looks. But then the other league that you're in,
you had that draft on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
On Sunday, yeah, and this league was a fun league,
and then you know, allegedly there's finances involved, but they
and I was voted against to up the ante, which
I didn't want to do because I look at this
as my first draft. Is always the draft that you
kind of work out the kinks because you don't really
don't know how people are thinking, where people are going.
I do a lot of those trends, yeah, those trends.
I do a lot of simulated drafts.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
A big mock draft guy, big montdraft guy.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
So I don't know, And I felt personally, I felt like,
this is just my opinion. I felt like there was
Tier one running backs and then once you hear Tier
two running backs, there wasn't that much of a gap
between Tier two, three, and four with running backs.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
I really didn't feel that.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Way because because a lot of guys are very uncertain, like, yeah,
I like Bucket Grff and I like Chase Brown, I
like Ashton Gent, but I don't know if they're going
to be good just because they were decent last year
and one guy's a rookie receiver.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Wise, I felt like there was there was the gaps.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Of Tier one and two are that much bigger than
three and four, Like those top two tiers are so
much bigger. So I ended up going heavy receiver in
all of my drafts.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Okay, you know, so how is your first score?

Speaker 3 (02:15):
First league score? I did my first pick, I.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Had no know how's it scored? Is it PPR?

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Okay, so it's a PPR league, so I might I
had the ninth pick and I went, I'm on Ross
Saint Brown with the knife picky.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Yeah, picked him over.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Yeah. I feel like he's somewhere between nine and twelve.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
I've just been falling.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
I know that the Lions lost Ben Johnson, but him
and Golf have been playing together for a while. He's
gonna I know what I'm getting from I'm on Ross Sam. Sure.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Then the second pick, it came back to me. I'm
not a fan of this guy, because not that I'm
not a fan of him, I just I'm very unsure
of him. But I felt like I had to take him.
Drake London. Oh wow, I felt like I had to
take him.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
He was he was sitting there. So I took Drake London.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
He'd be happy if he has the kind of season
he had last year. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Then it came back and again, I feel like you
have three tight ends you trust and then everyone and
then there's everyone else.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
So I took one of those three tight ends. I
took George Kittle.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
So I'm sitting there and I'm watching no running back. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
So then I took DeAndre Swift and Trayvon Henderson.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
So now Swift was your big sleeper pick last week.
I told us about volume.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Guy, look what Ben Johnson did for David Montgomery, and
and that gives it's better than both of Swift and Montgomery.
But I think I expect Ben Johnson to draw some
plays and they don't have anybody else he's gonna be.
He's like Tony Pollard with the Titans. There's no one else,
So listen, is he gonna be Saquan or the Jean Robinson. No,

(03:43):
but he's gonna get touches, you know. We're unlike a
Naj Harris. You don't know if he's gonna get touches,
you know. And then I ended up with Courtland Sutton,
who I like in the flex. And my quarterback was
a mistake. I meant to hit Dak Prescott, but I
guess I hit party. So now I have Brock party.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Oh that's a win. So that's a win for you.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
I know on the bench. You know, I know you
love rock Party. On the bench, I got Braylan Allen,
who I love this year with the Jets. Yeah, and
then Shakir Dylan Samson, Hollywood Brown.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Just guys. I mean your bench is your bench.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Yeah, I just for me my bench. I'm always looking
at Bie weeks and so just to make sure that
there's a decent guy that can fill in that week
or you know.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
I mean yeah, or I like to have one guy, okay,
in case this guy sucks, let me get you know
that I could trust. So I thought the team is okay.
I think I don't think it's atrocious. I think there's
some bright spots.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Obviously. Don't love your running backs, no, but if you
can make good with your wide receivers.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
And running backs can get me ten to twelve points,
I'd be okay with that because if mysy receivers do
what they're supposed to do with then I'm gonna be
golden for sure.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
So then on Monday, we had our next league, the
league that you and I are in with your buddies
and stuff like that. And so this was this is
a PPR league again, And this was interesting because me
and Thor had back to back picks, so I knew
we were going to screw each other over at some point.
I had the fifth pick, you had the sixth pick.

(05:11):
And so what kind of shocked me in this draft
is that the guy that drafted the third to me,
he took a reach. He went with Christian McCaffrey. Who
you know, I'm a Niner fan, so I love Christian McCaffrey.
But I don't know really what I'm gonna get out
of Christian McCaffrey this year. Obviously, I'm hoping he's but.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
He's twenty nine. Other than two years ago, he's always.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Injured and PPR he catches a ton of balls too.
So it's a good pick.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
It's a good pick.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
But where he wasn't slotted to go there, I mean
he was slotted to go towards the end of the
first round. Yeah, So for him to take him third,
I went, Wow, that's a shocker. And so being in
the fifth pick, that meant somebody's gonna fall to me.
You know, somebody that is good is going to be there.
And weirdly, because this is PPR, there was a wild
run on running backs and I didn't see that coming,

(06:01):
Like it was all running backs going, and I was like,
what the heck is going on?

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Yeah, and I that this league was like that a
lot for a long time. But I feel like in
Fantasy Ride received, like I said, those top tier wide
receivers are so much better. Like the numbers are gonna
get from Elik Neighbors or CD Lamb or Nico Collins
is significantly more than you're gonna get from Terry McLaurin.
But Terry McClaren is still a top receiver. And I

(06:27):
feel like running backs are a lot more tighter. Put
it on this league, everyone went running backs.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Yeah, so because it's PPR, and there was a lot
of running backs that went. CD Lamb fell right to me,
which I loved that pick, and I was like, I
can't not take him.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
They're going to have to score so many points of year.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
That's kind of what I'm thinking too. So I grabbed
CD Lamb at five and then you were.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Up, and then I was up, and obviously I was
grabbing Mylik Neighbors.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
This was stunning.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
I mean, this was I didn't grab a giant in
the draft the day before. I've learned my lesson the
last couple of years, I haven't drafted Giants except for
Malie Name.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Now you got them.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
I got him.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
I left draft him last year too, and he's.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
He was there a consideration for anybody else.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
If Jamar Gibbs was there, I was gonna take Jamar Gibbs,
Jamiir Jamiir what I say, Jamar. If Jamiir Gibbs was there,
I was taking him. So if you didn't take C. D. Lamb,
it would have been tough. I would have went CD
or Neighbors. But if Gibbs Gibbs was my number one.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
There's no way you're passing on Lamb for I would
have done it. There's no way.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
It would have been close, would be insane, it would
have been close. I just last year I didn't take
any Giants other than Neighbors, and and I won the
league because I just felt I just I'm done until
the Giants.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Proved to me they could be a good team.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
I've been trying to tell you that I.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Know, but I'm a fan.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
But I'm a fan. So I finally you said Darren
Waller was the best tight end in the league. Number one,
three week number one. It was he was never he
was never the best. So then when it came back around,
who'd you go with?

Speaker 2 (07:49):
So when it came back around, I wanted draft Bucky Irvin.
I want to draft Kenneth Walker because I know running
backs are going, but no one drafted Puku Nakula and
he's a top.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Ten guy in all of fantasy. So I'm like, I
have to draft him.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
He's gonna get me so much if he stays healthy,
he's gonna get me so much more production than anyone
I'm gonna draft here.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
So I drafted Pookinakula, yeah, which basically gave me a
decent running back. I don't know if he's top tier.
He might be at the top of that second tier,
but I didn't want to be without a running back.
And then the run happened. The run. All these running
backs were being taken, so I was like, I don't
want to get screwed here, So I got Kyron Williams

(08:31):
on the comeback, which I was like, second round and
I'm terrible.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
It's funny.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
We do a board where you have to put the
stick around, and I walked up to the sticker saying
I'm gonna draft Kiraen Williams here, and then I said
to myself, I can't pass up on Pooka coul I.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Would have taken pictures.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Can't do it.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
You didn't if I didn't. Yeah, it was sort of
worked out, and I.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Because I feel like kiraon Williams is really good. But again,
he's a volume guy's he got a lot of volume,
touches a lot of touchdowns, which I which is great.
But I just felt like Pokah is gonna be you know.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Back to back rams. I just realized that, yeah, back
to so this is how my team looks. It ended
up at quarterback. This is again. There was a run
on quarterbacks too that I thought was a little early.
You know, so you're gonna lose the Josh Allen's, You're
gonna lose the Lamar Jackson's, and all those guys sort
of went. And so I was sort of sitting there
kind of late and I went, Okay, well who's still available,

(09:18):
and so I pulled the trigger. I have no listen,
this guy was terrible last year. Statistically. I hope he
pulls it together. Everything I'm hearing is that their offense
is back and so I took Patrick Maholmes, which I
mean Patrick Mahomes back in the day. That would be
a great pick.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
He's still and he's still you know, nobody can beat
him in the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Was not great. And then my backup is Jared Goff,
who again had a great season last year. But you know,
no Ben Johnson. So that's a little bit of a
tricky situation. You know.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
I think that worries about Mahomes is Kittle.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
I mean Kittle.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Kelsey's old and you have worthy, but no she Rice
And I don't know how hollywo Brown's going to be,
but I mean it's still Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
He may be great, So we'll see what happens with him.
My wide receiver is r cd Lamb. I took a
guy that I do not like. I'm pissed that I
took him, but I kind of had to because he
was there, and I'm like, man, there was nobody else
in that realm. I took Garrett Wilson, who I know
you you had last year.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
I had him last year and he's a great player.
They just can't get him the ball.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
I just I don't know, man, and their right guard
that's great. Uh. And so and then I have DeVante Smith.
He's gonna be in my flex he fell, Yeah he was.
He's one I got late, which I was like, that
was a score. Yeah, I got like Debo on my
bench this. Yeah, I stashed away one of my one
of my kind of sneaky picks was Brandon Ayuk because

(10:41):
because I can ir.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
Him, because and he's gonna come back five week six.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
Yeah, so I snagged him and kind of stashed him.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
We'll see if that could be he could help you
second half of the you see.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Uh, my running backs a Kyra Williams. I got James
Cook and again that's kind of a knock on wood
hopefully James Cook, you know, miss camp. It was fantastic. Uh.
Then I got random backups like Roman J. Stevenson, JK. Dobbins,
guys like that. I tight end Sam Laporta. I'm sort
of all in on Lions. I don't know what, it's
kind of crazy. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
And then kicker Jake Bates another Lion, and I went
with the Eagles defense. So that's that's sort of my
I feel like I'm good, like I feel like my
team solid, Like I felt pretty good about it.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
Yeah, I don't think it's a bad team.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
Yeah, it's a solid team.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Solid what about you?

Speaker 2 (11:24):
So I, after I took Puka the third round, I'm thinking,
I'm sweating, thinking I gotta take a running back. But
then Brock Bowers was sitting right there. This was the
guy's a beast. He's gonna he's unbelievable. He said, he
actually has had the rookie record last year for most catches.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
He's by far and away the top tight end.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
So I took him.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Wow, So I took Brock Bowers.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
That's just not going any running backs.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Then then it came back and and I wanted to
take Joe Burrow in Fantasy first since he was a rookie.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
So I took Joe Burrow.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
When you did that that there was an audible gasp
in the room that there's still no running back taking.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
I think that Joe Burrow is gonna win the MVP
this year. So I think you're shot. I'm calling my shot.
I think the Bengals, their defense is hopefully will be
a little bit better. I like the Bengals. I'm not
a fan, but I like them, and I love Joe
Burrow and I think their offense is going to be
insane this year, So I think Joe Burrows is going
to m v P. And then I finally said, I
have they run back, bro, I can't wait to left.

(12:18):
So I took Isaiah Pacheco, and I'm like, he was hurt,
kind of.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Boomer bus boom bus.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
I mean it's him and Kareem Hunt. How is Kareem
Hunt still in the league. He's still on the team.
And then I'm sitting there it comes back and I
want to take like a JK.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Dobbins, but somebody snagged that.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
So I'm like, well, Jalen Warren just signed this two
year deal with the Steelers. I might as well see
if he's gonna play, maybe get some maybe get some
catches out of him.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
That's a backfield by committee, So that one worries me
a little bit.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
So and then I and then in my flex, I
took I took a bunch of chances. She Rahid Shaheed
from the Strom the Saints.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
He started out a huge yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
And then I took Stephan Diggs, Juwan Jennings and then.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Remember how big I was on DIG last year and
you gave me a really hard time.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
I gave you, but I felt like, I'm like, I
might as well take him.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
I mean, my trust, I don't know this guy's handing
out pink stuff. I don't know what's going on. B
This is a nightmare.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
It is a nightmare.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Then I grabbed Nase Harris in case of Marian Hampton
gets hurt. Sure, I mean they did sign him in
his job hard. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
I think he did blow off his hand though, so
that's gonna hurt a little bit.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
And then I got I took the Chargers D because
I feel like.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
Listen, I like, you're a guy that streams.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
I stream him, and Week one is tough other than
the Cardinals, and I don't even trust them.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
The Chargers D.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
Usually plays the Chiefs pretty well, so I'm going to
take a shot and start them.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
As Brazil doesn't freak you out.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
I think it helps me.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Okay, Okay, we'll see Okay. So again, you're just kind
of going all in and in receivers and tight ends
and not worried about running back. No, you know, it's
it's a risk.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
It's a risk for sure. Maybe I get a good
guy and a waiver.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
I don't get Joe Burrow, so I'm so good. Then
last night we had our Big Work League, our iHeart league.
We had that draft, and that draft got real crazy,
real quick. And so in that draft, I had the
sixth pick and you had the ninth pick. Correct. Uh
and so the sixth pick, I'm sort of in the

(14:19):
exact same spot that i was in our other league.
You know, I was five in that other league, but
now I'm six. And so I was like, Okay, let's
see what happens here. This is standard scoring, so it's
a little different. Running backs do matter more. Yeah, and
so the number one pick in our PPR league was
Jamar Chase. The number one pick in the standard league
was Bjon Robinson. Makes sense, So I totally understand that.

(14:40):
Uh So, picks are are flowing. You know, it seems
like again we're having another big run on running backs.
Gets to me at six. Guess who's still there? CD Lamb.
So I guess I'm all in on CD Lamb. This
guy better have a big year on let me tell
you something, this guy gets hurt, my season's over because
he's I've taken him number one in both leagues. So

(15:02):
I'm hoping a big things for Ceddie Lamb yeah, but
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
What worries me. CD's been healthy. It's Dak that doesn't
stay healthy. But when Dak's healthy, he's good. He's under
I crazy enough, I think Dak's underrated. Even though I
hate the Cowboys, he puts up numbers.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
Yeah. So then it comes to you at nine.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
And I and I'm sitting there and again, I know
it's a standard league, but I got Nico Collins say
staring there, and I'm really trying to avoid taking the
same guys because.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
I wish I would have known that.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
So so I didn't want to take Aman raw, so
I took what about?

Speaker 1 (15:34):
What about Malik?

Speaker 2 (15:36):
The leak was sitting there too, there for you. But
again I'm just on. I love the Giants obviously, I
just don't I want them to be better this year.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
You just wanted him in one league.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
I just want him in one league. So I was like,
I can't, I can't do it. I don't trust him.
So I took Nico Collins.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Wow, so has he passed on? So then it comes around,
you know, it snakes back around to you and I'm like,
Malik was still on the board. I go, well, he
has to take him because.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
Anyone at this point getting a leak that late in
the second round is crazy.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
He should not be on the pack.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
He should be late first round. Yeah, but he was
still there, and I go, Okay, Thorge just got a gift.
He's got both Nico Collins and Leak neighbors. But you
didn't take them.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
I did.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
This is the stutter of the century.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Because again it's a if it was PPR take him
a harp. But it was standard, and I'm like, I
need and I was kind of annoyed to what happened
to me the day before, so I was like, I
need to take a shot on Bucky Irvin.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
So I took him.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
You took I took Bucky Wow over Mo Leak. That's crazy, I.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
Know, I know.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
I felt like I was cheating on the Giant. So
it comes down late last night thinking about.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
So it comes back to me and again because this
is standard and the way our league is scored, actually,
the quarterback position is scored pretty high, and especially if
you're a really good all quarterback, like this is pretty
early to go quarterback. I totally understand that. But Josh

(17:02):
Allen is above and beyond everybody else, and so the
way like he'll get rushing yards, he'll get passing yards,
obviously rushing touchdowns. He does, he does everything. So in
our league, Josh Allen is kind of the gold standard.
And so I was sitting there and I go, screw it,
I'm taking Josh this early. Wow. And so I pulled

(17:23):
the trigger. So now I got Seed Lamb and Josh Allen,
and I'm like, all right, now, at some point in
the next round, I got to get a running back
because all the running backs are starting to go. So
it comes back around to me, and I don't like
any of the running backs sitting. The top running back
available was Tony Pollard at that point, and I go,
I don't like Tony Pollack.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
And like again, like.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Taj Spears has a high inkle sprain, so he may
be done for a while. So Paul's gonna get a
lot of carries, for sure. What's he going to really
get you ten to twelve points?

Speaker 1 (17:52):
But I don't know what the Tennessee offense is gonna
look like with cam Moore, I agree, So I don't
know what the hell to do here. I know I
need to go run back. There's nobody that I like,
especially in this spot. This is a third round, and like,
is Tony Pollard even a third rounder? I don't even know.
So I'm sitting there and just like man, I don't
know what to do here. And then I see him
that I'm shocked and he's still there in the third round.

(18:14):
Now there are issues. He had a bad season last year.
He comes with off field issues. There's a lot of
stuff that comes with Tyreek Hill.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
I can't believe it.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
Is he washed, I don't know, but he's there the
third round.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
I mean, it is the ultimate boomer.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
I'm scared it's the but I go the boom with
Tyreek Hill is still otherworldly.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
But he's if things don't go well.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
He's done.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
And so I said at some point, which may help you.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
I said forget it, and I just rolled the dice
and I'm pulling a thore, which is exactly what you
did the night before, and I'm going to go no
running backs. And so I pulled the trigger and got
Tyreek Hill.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
I mean, I don't hate it, but it's definitely crazy.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
It's a crazy strategy.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
He could have one hundred and fifty catches for fourteen
hundred yards and twelve touchdowns, or.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
He could be de traded done by out of the league. Yeah.
So so again my quarterbacks, Josh Allen, my wide receiver,
Ceede Lamb Tyreek Hill running backs. Again, I'm throwing just
darts at the walls how I was, And I kind
of like, I hope one of these sticks and one
of these guys is good. So I went with your
boy DeAndre Swift, who was your big phenomena. I don't

(19:25):
know if it's phenomenal, but this was my third running back.
I'd be happy, but he's this is my number one,
So I don't know, man, So I got DeAndre Swift
I went with, and then it went with the guys.
So I got Zach Sharbonay, who.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
I think you were right about him last year. Kenneth
Walker's already hurt, right, so I don't trust that guy's
going to get carries, right.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
I went with Jordan Mason, who, again I don't know
if he's going to be. Aaron Jones is the main
guy in Minnesota, but Jordan Mason's gonna get a ton
of carriers.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
I had multiple opportunities in both leagues to draft Aaron Jones,
and I didn't because I don't know who the.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
Starter's good, right, I got a good tight end. I
got Trey McBride, who is the consensus number two tight end,
so I'm good there. And then I again a bunch
of guys. I got Jerry Judy, Juwan Jennings, Michael Pittman,
guys like that. My one little sneaky move was a
guy that I I kind of wanted in our other league,
but I got in this league because again, you don't

(20:18):
know exactly what's gonna happen. Brian Robinson Jr. Who the
forty nine ers traded for who was a stud in Washington,
and then you just sort of like they just got.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
Rid of him, and I'm like, okay.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
So I don't know. Again, if McCaffrey's hurt, he's gonna
be the guy there. So he's a guy that I'm
just gonna sat absolutely. Then I went with Kayami Fairburn
and the kicker spot and Pittsburgh is my defense. What
about the rest of your team?

Speaker 2 (20:41):
So I ended up taking t Higgins. He's a good
pick in the third round. And then I went paired
with Joey b paired got joy b again.

Speaker 4 (20:48):
Oh that's right, I forgot Yeah. Differently, you have Joe
Burrow both leagues. I'm so pumped to watch out of
your mind. I took Joe Burrow. I took Joe.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
Burrow in both Lee and then I grabbed Tony Pollard,
which I just needed a back.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
And then I took who else did I take? I
took George Pickens, JK. Dobbins, I love Braylan Allen from
the Jets this year.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
Allen. I took Cooper.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Cup could be sneaky, grabbed Trey Benson because James Connor
usually gets hurt for a few weeks. And then I
took Jayalen Warren again, and I know I'm all in
on Jayleen Warren. Tight end kind of screwed me. I
waited too long and I ended up taking Colston Loveland.
Who listen, is he gonna be great rookies? He's a rookie.

(21:38):
But but I go back to who was his coach,
Ben Johnson. Look what Ben Johnson did for the Porta
in the first year, loved them. Was the eleventh pick
in the draft, so who knows it's a it's a
shot in the dark. I mean I literally took him
in like the twelfth rounds, so I think. And then
I took arizonas d because they're playing the Saints. So
we'll see.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
That's where I'm at right now. It's gonna be interesting,
interesting one. To say the least. You can shoot his
questions every week. You can hit us up on X
at the show, thor at the show Eddie, or you
can email us your questions and we'll get to them
every single week. I already have questions coming in, which
is great. First question is for flex position, who do

(22:17):
you like week one? Tyreek Hill or Aaron Jones. Oh man,
So Miami taking on Indianapolis, which is a good matchup
for Miami, and then Minnesota's playing Monday night against Chicago.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
I mean, I know I Tyreek is a risk man,
but he's still Tyreek.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
I think he's questionable right now. Yeah, he's got like
an oblique.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
Oh jeez if he and that sucks because Aaron Jones
plays on Monday. But I guess you can wait wait
until last second. If Tyreek plays, I play him, you know, And.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Yeah, you know me in flex I like putting running
backs because you're almost guaranteed to get touches. That's not
necessarily the case with Aaron Jones. When you have Jordan
Mason there too, So I really don't know what I'm
gonna get out of Aaron Jones yet. I have no
idea what I'm gonna get out of Tyreek Hill. That's
the problem. But again, if I want to roll the
dice and we're talking boom or bust, I'm hoping for

(23:08):
the boom and the Tyreek Hill is going to go off.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
And it's in Indy, which I like indoor, it's not
gonna be a million degrees, no weather issues.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
Yeah, you know, I feel comfortable going Tyreek Hill week
going and seeing what happens and then you know, figure
things out after that. I agree for another flex spot question,
you like Jerry Judy or Jordan Mason in the flex spot? Oh?

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Man, these are this is where you're at Week one.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
Man, this is where you're at.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
I don't like.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
I finally have gotten away from drafting starters on bad teams.
For for the longest time, I'd go.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
You don't trust Joe Flacca for the Hell's wrong with you?

Speaker 4 (23:44):
Kid me?

Speaker 2 (23:44):
For the longest time, I would say, well, yeah, he's
on this terrible team, but he's the one. And then
I watched them do nothing because they're on bad teams,
so I refuse the start guys on bad teams.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
The Joe and Jerry connection, it's like Jerry.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
Rice basically we come on.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
So I'm gonna go with Aaron Jones, even though I
just told you to start tirings. Oh Joey, I was
starting Jordan Mason, Jordan Mason over Jerry just because I
just don't trust Jerry, Judy and Joe Flacco against you know,
now they.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
Do play the bank. The Browns usually play the Bangals
pretty well, which is shocking.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
But we got it. Is it is? It's the roll
of the dice. Yeah, this is an actual kind of
a philosophical question. I guess about Travis kelce says I
drafted Travis kelce after a run on tight ends. How
do you guys feel about him? Is he washed or
does he have something left in the tank.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
Here's the problem with Travis kelcey last year, we all
saw it. He's slow, like he lost speed. Like, do
I still think he could catch and run great routes? Yes,
but he's not fast anymore. I mean he looked one
hundred out there last year, So I don't you can't
just get that back. I know he's engaged, and we
all love Travis Kelcey and he's motivating.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
It doesn't mean anything.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
Whoever his I forgot whose backup was, who had some
good catches last year? I forgot, And I don't think
that much. No it's it's Noah Gray or Jared Wiley.
But Noah Gray is pretty good. I would not be
surprised if we're halfway through the year and Noah Gray's
a story tight end for the Chiefs.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
I think that's a crazy thing. You say. Here's here's
what I look at when I look at Travis. I
don't think you're gonna get crazy after the yards catch anymore.
I think that Travis, if you're in PPR, I think
you're gonna be okay. I think he's gonna So everything
I'm hearing on the Chiefs camp is that they want
to open it up and throw the ball downfield. That's

(25:31):
their whole thing is they've grabbed guys exactly, and so
they want to get the ball down the field. Well,
if the coverage is there, who's going to benefit Travis underneath?
And so all those dump off passes that Mahomes is
going to do is going to go to Travis kelce
so I think he's gonna probably have to be beneficial
beneficiary of catches, not yards. So he may have ten

(25:55):
catches in a game for thirty five yards, you know
what I mean? And know, and maybe he'll catch some
touchdowns because he wasn't even catching touchdowns last year was
killing him.

Speaker 4 (26:04):
Now.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
The thing is, though, for week one, Derwin James has
a tendency to shut down Tavis Kelcey possible and so
that so that could be able thing too.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
I just don't know that he's fully washed yet. I
just think he looks slow, yeah.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Which is when you once you started looking slow, it's
tough to get you can't get it back.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
You know that's true. So I don't know if he's
fully washed.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
I mean, I'm just I'm just giving you a real
all right, let's get our starts and sits for week one?
At quarterback? Who do you like this week?

Speaker 3 (26:33):
I'm not saying this because I have him.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
Oh god, but I'm starting brock Party.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
Oh you're not doing Joe Burrow. I know'd why Yeah,
here's why, Josh Allen.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
Yeah, brock party.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Last year, last year, in the two games against Seattle,
I saw that he had forty two points in the
two games. He had five touchdown passes. It's in Seattle.
I don't know what to make a Seattle this year.
I have no idea how they're going to be, but
I would stop rock party.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
I'm want to go with a start. The guy that
I'm really high on. He's second year quarterback, and it's
not the one you're thinking of. I'm not talking about
Jaydon Downiels. I'm talking about Drake May. I think Drake
May is gonna have a really good season. Maybe maybe,
but you're taking on a Raiders team that's not that great.
I don't know what we're really going to get out
of the Patriots this year either. But I like Drake

(27:21):
May Week one. I like that matchup, so I think
he has a pretty good game. Who's your sit justin
fields same? I mean, I have the exact same seit.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
I listened to a lot of New York Sports radio.
I watched the Jets and the Giants a lot. He
can't throw the ball, I mean, and now they just
lost their right guard against a team that knows him
pretty well.

Speaker 3 (27:39):
I mean, this is I think that this.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Score of this game may be six three because I
don't think either offense can do anything.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
So I was sitting justin fields.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
What do you mean, Aaron Rodgers? Yeah, come on, man, Yeah,
I know. I was in the exact same boat. I'm
sitting justin fields. Not a great passer. He may get
you some rushing yards, but that's about it. So I
don't trust him at all. Running back, who's your start?

Speaker 2 (28:03):
You're not gonna like this because it's a rookie. I'm
going with Ashton Genty. It's the Patriots because I don't
know anything about really the Raiders. I just know that
Ashton Genty looks like a beast at Boise State. I
don't trust they're gonna be treat good. They're gonna feed
in the rock. So I think this could be a
breakout game.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
It's possible. I mean rookies that are that good. I
don't have a problem with. It's those kind of like, uh,
you know.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
The Ted McMillan guy from the Panthers.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
Could be good. I have no idea.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
Well, I have no idea.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Yeah, running back might start this week. You know him?
You love him. Cuba Cuba Hubbard, who came out of
nowhere really and had a fantastic year of contract. I mean, honestly,
he had a huge season taking on a Jacksonville team
that I still think sucks. I just don't think they're
any good, and so I think Tuba's gonna run all

(28:51):
over them. Who's your sit?

Speaker 2 (28:52):
My sit this week? Another Jet breis Hall. I don't
think this guy will be the starter by week five?
You're well to be the starter.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
Brice Hall was like a top three pick last year.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
I know, and break he's I don't from everything coming
out of Jets camp that everyone says is that Aaron
Glenn is not in on breeze Hall. Wow, So then
they would trade him probab which which may happen. I
would think Braylon Allen's gonna be the guy pretty soon.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
Okay, you're not gonna like this because my sit this
week there is Tony Pollard.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
Damn it.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Sorry, but listen that Titans team choice. I know, but
I mean they're taking on Denver, who has a very
good defense. He may get one hundred carries, but I
mean he might had ten yards, you know. So yeah,
I don't like Tony Pollard this week against Denver. Sorry, dude,
wide receiver, who's your startleak? I mean we're starting out

(29:41):
like this. I'm telling you one, we're starting out like this.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
LA the Commander is really well. Two games against the
last year, massive games. I'm telling you I didn't. Okay,
I've been knocking on whatever time I said every time.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
My start this week is the same guy who had
a rookie year last year, but a very disappointing one.
So I gotta imagine he wants to start off big
this year. Marvin Harrison Junior, who just I don't know
what happened to this.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
He was supposed to be generation.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
I honestly thought that this guy was going to be
the next Jerry Rice or at least the next Marvin Harrison,
but he really didn't show him up very much at all.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
I was afraid the draft this year kind was so bad.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
I had him last year on one of my teams
and it was bad. And so but they're taking on
the Saints. I think that the Cardinals are going to
look really good this week against the Saints, and I
think Marvin Harrison he's going to catch at least one,
maybe two touchdowns in that game. Sit who's your set.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
At sticking with that game? Chris Olave a guy that
came out of the gates on fire. He's just kind
of whatever.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
Well, he's got no quarterback.

Speaker 3 (30:39):
He's got no quarterback.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
I stayed far away from any saint.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
I I did, other than Rashid Rashid Shaheed. So but
I'm staying away from Chrystal Lave.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
Yeah, my sit again, I'm going with a rookie. I
know we're all hyped about the two way star Travis Hunter,
but what the hell is he going to do? Like,
first of all, you got Brian Thomas Junior there, he's
the number one, the number and so how much how
many balls is Travis Hunter even gonna see?

Speaker 2 (31:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (31:03):
And so even if he does in there, is he
playing two waysy? I was gonna be tired. I don't know.
I just don't I just want to see a bottom
of work and how they do it before I start him.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
He's listed as the backup corner right now, so we'll see.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
I don't know. I just think it's a crazy thing.
I'm excited to see it. Yeah, and he could be
a generational talent. But week one, I just I'm not
ready to pull the trigger on him yet. Tight end,
who's your start?

Speaker 2 (31:27):
I hated this guy last year. Didn't get the draft
him any of my teams this year because I missed
out on it. But once I saw that he signed
with the Broncos and Sean Payton, this is a Sean
Payton type guy. Evan Ingram against the Titans.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
Yeah, you had a chance to draft him, and I
was kind of surprised.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
I thought he would come back. It was a stupid
crazy because he's this is a guy that Sean Payton loves.
Sean Payton will make sure Bonnicks feeds this guy.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
It's all he does is catch balls and he's incredible. Yeah,
you know, so, yeah, that's a good pick my start
this week. I gotta imagine this guy all off season
has been thinking about that drop he had in the
playoffs and it's the same team. It is Mark Andrews
taking on Buffalo. I gotta imagine he's got to come
back and want to have a monster game. Lost in

(32:11):
the playoffs. It did it chance at the super.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
And Isaiah likely he's probably not playing. It looks like.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
Yeah, and you know, Mark Andrews wasn't valued very highly,
which I kind of was surprised, kind of down last year,
you know, they but he came back he was like
he had an up and down year. He ended up
having a good year in the end, but I still
think he's a good wide receiver, receiving tight end, and
so I kind of surprised he was like eighth ninth ready.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
Coming off an injury last year too.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Yeah, so took him moment. So I like Mark Andrews
this week to have a big revenge game. Who's your sit?

Speaker 2 (32:43):
I sit this week as a guy that thought was
the best time in the league two years ago. Oh,
I hate him.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
He's out of the league. I don't know he was
working on his music.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
I don't know what the Dolphins were thinking side of
this guy.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
They tried a.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
Six drop pick for him. I mean, Darren Waller, I
am not touching him with a ten foot pole.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (33:00):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
Honestly, I don't like any Dolphins uh this year. I
know you draft the Tyreek, but Devon Ah Shohnson he's
a walking injury. Jalen Wattle is so overrated. I'm not
touching to Darren Waller.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
No thanks, I'm gonna I'm gonna be honest with you.
I think Waller, don't you dare might be sneaky, might
be sneaky. I don't say you week one. I'm not
doing a week one because it's gonna take him a
minute to readjust to two years, right, But I mean
his music was great.

Speaker 3 (33:29):
Okay, that's his career.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
You know that career might be great. Oh yeah, I
don't know. My sit this week is a little bit
troublesome because there's two guys there, and I don't know
who is going to be the main guy in Pittsburgh.
Is it John new Smith or is it Patton Firemoth.
So really I'm sitting both. But if I'm picking one,
I'm picking fire Mouth. I don't think he's the guy anymore.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
I think, and cause Smith played with Arthur Smith, he
loves him, loves him main sur he traded for him,
So I thought about after Arthur Smith. But I'm john drafted.
That's Crazy's the whole thing.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
But I thought I had a chance to get Johnny too,
and I didn't do.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
It, and I was like, I don't know, and he's old, yeah,
and he's old, like he had a great year after
another team where I'm just like, are they going to
be good? Their defense is gonna be really good?

Speaker 1 (34:16):
Yeah, I didn't any go anywhere near d k or.
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
Of course, I drafted Jalen Warren in two Leaguesah.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
You did, you? You're big on their running game. I
don't know. So there you go. Week one. It's here baby.
Hopefully you start off with a win.
