live action remakes is The Lion King. I have yet
to see the new Mufossa one, so that probably would
be in there top ten. This is a spin off, right, Yeah,
you're right, it's not necessarily sorry. I think you could
call welcome. The Lion King is pretty good. It's pretty good. Again,

these live action ones, when you're doing things like that,
it doesn't have it doesn't hit the same. So when
you we everybody watched The Lion King in the nineties,
you know y'all loved it. I loved it. What a

Coming in at number four is a lot. Oh really,
Will Smith not terrible as the genie. You're not going
to be Robin Williams. You can't nobody can recapture I
like that you can't recapture the magic. But Will Smith

not bad. You know, he wasn't slapping anybody at that time,
and so overall I thought it was pretty good. It
was it was, okay, you can't recapture magic. Hurt that
you're trying to rub lamps. You know you can't get
that magic. Okay, again, these things are they're hard to recreate.

the cartoons and the originals. The animated versions are just better.
And so yeah, is it on that level. No, But
as far as a remake goes, not bad, not bad.

Oh no, because I don't know. If you remember Beauty
of the Beast, is is beloved favor the cartoon version,
you know, incredible, incredible.

What's your problem with the live action?
Speaker 1 (10:05):
One problem and one problem only? What Emma Watson was
horribly cast as Belle unlikable. Belle is so sweet and
so kind and so loving and all of these things,
and innocent and beautiful and all of these things. You

know that you know about the bell that I saw
in this beauty.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
The Beast is unlikable, like Sidney Sweeney or something.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
And no, no, no, I don't know if i'd go there,
that'd make it a little weird. I don't know that wat,
I don't know that i'd watched it. But the other
characters I enjoyed, scared great, Gaston was great, and he
nailed that character, Beast, the cool, all those things were good,

you know. But but Emma Watson nearly ruined that movie.
She was terrible.

I thought this was going to be a top three.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no happening. Well,
i'll tell you what's happening. My top ten Disney Live
Action remakes coming in at number six is one hundred
and one Dalmatians.

No, I'm okay with this one. Trying to kill the
do make a coat, trying to make com The reason
why it's only at six because this was a pretty
big movie in the early nineties. Yeah, when I saw it,
I was a little bit I think it was like
maybe in my twenties, and so it was a little
too kitty for me. So I don't have the fondest

of memories. I remember watching it going whatever, and I
don't know that I ever came back to it, and
so what just wasn't really for me. I recognize there's
it's better than some of these other ones, and I
recognized that it really isn't meant for me, but but
still decent. And number six spot for I forgot alright, one,

here we go. Number five of my top ten Disney
live action remakes is The Lion King. I have yet
to see the new Mufossa one, so that probably would
be in there top ten. This is a spin off, right, Yeah,
you're right, it's not necessarily sorry. I think you could
call welcome. The Lion King is pretty good. It's pretty good. Again,

these live action ones, when you're doing things like that,
it doesn't have it doesn't hit the same. So when
you we everybody watched The Lion King in the nineties,
you know y'all loved it. I loved it. What a
little hookuna matat. I hate.

You stop it, stop it, I thought, Eric, it's a problem.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Oh my god, I hate it.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
No heart, Yeah, I don't know, it's just it doesn't
feel the same. It's well done, it's pretty stunning too. Gorgeous,
gorgeous Beyonce, all these things stunning. I heard absolutely everything
she said was right. Wow, you what you're what you're
doing right now is wrong. Your whole life is wrong.
So it's it's average, which makes it perfect at number five. Okay, okay,

I'm going over my top ten Disney Live Action remakes.
Coming in at number four is a lot. Oh really,
Will Smith not terrible as the genie. You're not going
to be Robin Williams. You can't nobody can recapture I
like that you can't recapture the magic. But Will Smith
(14:06):
not bad. You know, he wasn't slapping anybody at that time,
and so overall I thought it was pretty good. It
was it was, okay, you can't recapture magic. Hurt that
you're trying to rub lamps. You know you can't get
that magic. Okay, again, these things are they're hard to recreate.
(14:27):
They're really hard because we have such fond memories of
the cartoons and the originals. The animated versions are just better.
And so yeah, is it on that level. No, But
as far as a remake goes, not bad, not bad.
Coming in as my number three Disney Live action remakeer
is Sneaky Good, Sneaky good. I don't know mulan. Check

Army ancient whatever kinda think. Yeah, yeah, but you know,
the the the animated version one of my daughter's favorites
when she was she was fan. Who is It's adorable,
absolutely fantastic. Uh the anime or the live action version.

Sneaky good, stop good movie.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
That sneaky good. Scott, your daughter would be empowered by this,
And this is what I'm about, female empowerment. That's okay,
that's what I do.

Yeah, I love that, Emily goes it's actually good. As
all the other they're not great, but.

This one, this is like the most well done. I
feel like Sneaky good, Sneaky good. All right. Here we
go into my top two of my top ten live
action remakes. Coming in as my number two live action
remake is the jungle Book. I got a cast, I
got a gas.

That's my favorite one.

Really, listen, I'm a big fan of the og the
animated version of Jungle Book. That was one of my
favorites when I was a kid.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
I hate the song Bear Necessities. It bothers me to

I friggin love Ballue. Okay, yeah, of course, top three
character ever in me for me movies in Disney. Wait
a minute, no, no, no, Bear Necessities classic thought. Bill Murray
as Ballue did a fantastic joke perfect. I bought it.

I bought it. I was all in. It was all in.
He was a bear. I felt it held up. I
felt it held up. I thought it was good.

The kid was fantastic.

Wow, So junk a Book coming in number two? Maybe

Seriously, I gotta tell you this one. If you haven't
seen this guy, you will absolutely love it. My number
one Disney Live Action remake and it's not close. Is
Lady and the Tramp.

Really, Lady and the Tramp?

Who's in that one? Dogs? Are there any like dogs?

Super cute, really well done, really really well dog.

But I sat there and watched it and you know again,
watching it with my kids, and I went, I enjoyed
that movie. I really thought it was good, really well done,
and so yeah, that one should be in your rotation. BRH.
