Speaker 1 (00:00):
We have been through quite a journey with Emily and
her ankle. Oh yeah, this goes back to early August
where we were on a trip to Austin. Emily may
have had a couple of pops at dinner. She was
wearing a very interesting top and as we were leaving

(00:23):
said restaurant and again, you know, we're a little tipsy
a little bit, Emily was retying the front of her outfit,
which tied in the front, and missed a step and
rolled her ankle pretty badly. I'll give her that. She
was really hurt, guys.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
I'm really hurt. I'm really hurt. No, no, guys, I'm
really hurt. Guys.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
What you're saying, we know, we can see it.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
I was try not to cry, but I wanted you
guys know.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Well your boobs were out. It was a whole downtown Austin.
Got to see a lot that night.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
It was a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
I'm very fidgety, so I decided that I couldn't wait
till I got to the bottom of the stairs to
retie the front.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
I had to do it at the same time. Yes, yes,
that was that was a bad call. Yeah, got a
good idea.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Yeah, so you fell down, hurt your ankle, and ever
since this thing has not healed. Wow, well Lamb, what
do you do when you heard an ankle? Yeah, I sit,
you elevated, and you stay off immediately. You stay off it.
Those are the three things they tell you to do immediately.

(01:32):
That's what ceed Lamb for the Cowboys is doing right now. Yeah,
well Emily is not ceedee Lamb what she is way
too busy to stay off it.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Yeah, I mean, to my defense at the very beginning.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Oh yeah, I was the first day of Austin and
we had four days there, so I did what I
was three three, but I didn't have I did elevate.
But how was I supposed to stay off of it
in Austin? Like in that aspect, I don't know what
I would have done.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Well, Like you know the day that you went for
a walk around Austin and then rented a scout, Yeah,
probably the time you should have stayed in your.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Room with your leg. Yeah, that's a good point. That's
just a small son up.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
Or like when everybody was like, hey, you should get
use the ice machine and get a bag and put
ice on it.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
I did that.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Oh you did do I did do that all throughout
the day. Every time I was back in that room,
I was icing it. But there was some times where
I did take a tour squalk lesson.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
I understand you're not at home, and you know that's
a little bit tougher. But when you get home, there
you go. This is when all right, rehab starts. Pumped
the brakes. Day off it, Yeah, didn't really happen. No,
Emily never really slowed down, never really stopped. She did
go country line dancing one night with the Cowboy boot.

(02:50):
I thought that was a little wild decision. She did
walk around Disneyland for an entire day. That was a
wild decision. Multiple things she's done in this span of
time that you know, makes it to where the ankle
isn't healing properly.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
She's flashed us all fifteen times every time she lifts
her legs to show us how swollen her ankle is.
So Jamie's got quite a few shots. So that's that's
also there.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
I don't know that he's.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Legs up right in front of him.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Creep creepy guy in there, crept.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Well, here we are now today, So yesterday, she actually
finally last week went to a doctor, a podiatrist where
they told her, Listen, there isn't really much at this
point you can do other than you know, again, elevate
that stay off it as much as you can type
of thing, and get yourself into a full time walking boot. Right, wow,

(03:52):
pretty much right.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
That's exactly what he said.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Yeaheah.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
He didn't tell me icing won't work anymore. I didn't
know that because I've been icing is still once in
a while. I guess after the first cup weeks icing
doesn't do anything.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Yeah, I didn't know that once in a while. Yeah,
he suggested the walking.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Boot, and that's going to reduce the swelling.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
That's going to reduce the swelling.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Now, I did already have a walking boot before I
saw the pediatrist. I took this upon myself after googling
lots of stuff spraying still there blah blah blah.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Get a walking boot will help alleviate it.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Now, we do know that I did wear said walking
boot for a little bit when I went to Disneyland.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
I was with himily at Disneyland. This thing was giant,
by the way, this thing was, I mean it was
the size of shacks shoe. It was massive. And she
comes walking up with the boot and I'm like, dude,
that thing looks heavy, and it looked heavy, and so
she did have it on. At that point though, she

(04:49):
was over it and decided, you know what, I'm done
with this thing. I hate it. I'm taking it off,
and she made Robert carry it in a backpack for
the rest of the time.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
So that these are facts. Yeah, that boot was like
the Creme de la creme. It had the air pump
like like the old like Jordan's or whatever, like the
air pump to fill the chamber where your ankle would
be with with with.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Probably a cushion.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
You probably should have done right away. Yeah, yeah, so.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
That so that thing came off after disseeyland uh went
back to Amazon the next day, turned it Wow, returne
it didn't fit well, it was a little bit too big,
so I returned that one. Plus it was too cumbersome,
like you were kind of saying, it was giant, it
was heavy.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
It was the compression with the air is like probably
the best thing for you.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
It wasn't working out for me.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Oh well, how long ago was that? Three weeks ago? Yeah,
about three weeks ago.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
Yeah, that was about three weeks ago, and then I did.
And then I saw the pediatrist last week. Like you said,
he did suggest once again the walking boot. He did
send somebody into the room with me to bring me
a walking boot. They had a device salesman in the hospital.
It's like a big hospital with tons of different you know,
specialists in there.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
Well, and your foot is a bigger size than normals,
they have to bring.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
You need special people. For the last time, I'm in
and half.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
I've never seen a woman's foot like that.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
I have.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
That's why he called other people because he couldn't believe
the size of his foot.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
That's not true, but they were actually very common. Yeah,
well they were like they were like, hey, don come
check this out.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Oh wow, my foot's not that big and a half.
He brings in the device. Then he goes, just a
heads up, this is going to be three hundred and
twenty dollars and I.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Go, I did the base that.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Eddie just said, like what the f he said, So
I said, I looked at it and it did look
that crazy special.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
So I said, thank you, down, thank you, don right,
but no, thank you. I will find my own boot.
I will find my own What a ridiculous thing.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
And much did they cost him?

Speaker 3 (06:46):
It was three hundred something and then with insurance, my
shirts was going to cover so much it was going
to be two eighty five thanks.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
A lot, ankle the rest of my life. The first
boot that's extreme For.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
The first food I got that I woreded Disney, that
was seventy bucks.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Oh wow, that's a crazy difference. Great reviews.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
But then I decided, So then I wasn't going to
get the one that the that Dawn suggested, So I
went on my merry way. That's when I did some
research on Amazon. Found a different boot that didn't have
the air in it seemed a little more sleeker, and.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
I ordered that bad boy up. Okay, and that one.
It was a sized medium guys sized medium. Yeah, so.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
It's not funny, but I have very skinny legs and
hales and very skinny long feet, so it makes them
look bigger than they It makes that they are. So
I get that other boot and that's the medium, and
that's boot number two. And boot number two I get
over this past weekend and I start wearing it for

(07:51):
a second or two around my house and a second
I realized that this boot is way too big, and so.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Shocking.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
It wasn't like.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Way too big, but it was too big as far
as like my foot was too skinny, Like it was
as tight as it would go, you guys, it was
as tight as it would go, and it wouldn't like
there wasn't any velcro area left to where I would
need it to go, so like I couldn't even get
it to fit the right size.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
That happens to be with half sometimes we know, we know.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
So then I got that going. I keep that boot
at my house because that's too big. And then I
get immediately on Amazon again get another third boot.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Which I get.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
I get the same maker as the medium boot, but
I get it in a small, okay, and that arrives.
So that's when that one arrives Sunday night. I try
that one yesterday. Listen that one arrives Sunday night. Hey,
that boot arrived and the small was too small.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Now fet.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
My feet are hanging over, which is so gross. Thank
you for saying like, I don't know when she sho
it is so gross hanging over. Totally agree, even though
I will always wear a sock over it, but still
still so.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Then I am so.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Then I go, okay, Well, I need to wear something
on this thing. I'm starting off Monday, right, I'm gonna
have a boot on my foot. I'm gonna go with
the medium. The medium isn't horrible. I can put this.
It kind of comes with little padding inserts. I could
put some padding inserts in there and make it work.
That's what I had on yesterday. I'm gonna see what
this is like. Because I only wore around my house
for a hot second. I'm gonna see what it's like,
you know, walking around all the time. Yeah, I wanted

(09:37):
to test it out at work with the carpet in here.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
You were You're overly dramatic yesterday with it on, limping,
acting like you couldn't move.

Speaker 5 (09:45):
I feel like every time once the doctor told her
that she stilled his sprained ankle, she started limping when
she wasn't limping before.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Not once.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
That's true.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Even the next day. The next day she wasn't.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
I can put on the limp.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
Okay, I didn't, so, yesterda, I wore the medium in
here because that was better than my toe hangover.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Got it Okay.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Got home from work yesterday.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
My ankle was kind of hurting because the thing was
digging into my ankle because it didn't fit correctly, because
when I'd walk a certain way, it would kind of
hit the top of my ankle. So I got, what
the hell, this is a disaster. I go, I can't
wear the medium now. So I got the boot from Disney.
I got the medium that I can't wear. I got
the small wher my toes are hanging over. I got
to do some more research. So that's when yesterday, right
after the show. Sesterday, right after the show, I did

(10:28):
more research on it, went to a third different like maker,
like a brand maker of the booze, and did even
more of a deep dive. I go, I'm gonna try
one more boot because this small and this other brand
says that.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
It's together less.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Why return, I ams, I'll get my money back and
think you who? So I order it says it could
come from five to ten. Last night. Arrived at seven thirty,
which is always a delight when you don't have to
wait for it to get there so late.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Arrived at seven thirty last night. The new The new
is boot number four.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
Is that what you have on right now? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Yep, okay, this is boot number four right now?

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Okay, what do we think about this one.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
This one's a dream, a dream going to keep bearing. No,
I'm not, you know, I'm not. It's a dream. It
doesn't really fit with my jeans that I have going on.
I didn't this one.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
I don't know that it's supposed to match your outfits.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
Now I might teeter tarter between a boot and a
rack because there are no hold on. There's these new
shoes I want to wear in here, Emily, And then
I might like just wrap that bad boy up.

Speaker 5 (11:31):
So I would do that, and then in like a
couple of weeks, she's gonna complain my ankles to swell it.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Won't you just do what you're supposed to do. How
long are you supposed to keep that boot on?

Speaker 3 (11:43):
He said, give it a month, and see what happened
a month? Said, give it a month, take a.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Look at it.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
See if the swell is not down.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
You wear it at home? Right, of course?

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Not?

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Sometimes, Oh my god, sitting on the couch TV. It's
just it's just like it's just it's just like the
lump in her neck.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
She dares.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
A physical therapy appointment for it. Okay, in a month.
In a month, they don't have any opening Okay, okay, listen,
this is ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Four boots in and she doesn't even wear it all
the time.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
What's the I don't know what's going to.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
Put it down. Put it down. We don't want to
look at that.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
It looks like a transformer's foot.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Totally okay,
