Speaker 1 (00:01):
Breaking out. There's a lot of calls, people calling in
with their ghost stories. This is our annual segment we
do every Halloween where we hear real life ghost stories
and they it gets to me. I'm not gonna lie.
It freaks me out a little bit. This may finally
get Thor. Thor's the biggest skeptic out there. Here's these stories,
rolls his eyes, things like this, Well, this apparently happened

(00:23):
in your neck of the wheels, Thor, back in Long Island.
Let's talk to p one Sean, Sean, what's going on? Man?
What's your ghost story?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Hey?

Speaker 1 (00:32):
What's going on?

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Eddie? And Thor? This one's I figured this one would
would be good for you, guess. Yeah, back from like
I said, backgard neck of the Woods. This was about
twenty almost twenty years ago. When so I'm living in
San Diego now, but growing up on Long Island.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
And what what's so?

Speaker 3 (00:52):
I grew up in Westbury?

Speaker 4 (00:54):
Okay, you know what that is. I went to school
out there. Almost got your guy? Sorry, go ahead, all right,
you got we's gotta ask what thanks for the tour?
You always got a pass? He's more National County.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
I was to say the worst part of this story
is it was it took place in Suffolk, but he.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Got is that a hobbit? That's a hobbit? He got me.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
So this was a This was on Sweet Hollow Road
is what the area was called in the Huntington Melville area.
And there was a big legend behind this that it's
a it's a long, windy road. During the day, it's
a really nice scenic area, but at night it's hard

(01:37):
to see. You tight turns and when you're when you're
going down it, there's an overpass and there's a The
legend was that on this overpassed there was a school
bus driving over it and it veered off and went
no nose first into the road, but down below it
all the kids died because of it. And if you

(01:59):
drive under the over pass, turn your lights off, put
the car and park, you could see handprints on your windshield.
So like so so like like you guys, I was
always a skeptic, a big, a big horror movie fan,
but it never really scared me. And we go, we
go underneath the bridge or the overpass, and sure enough

(02:21):
we saw what looked like handprints. After sitting there for
a couple of minutes and in my brain I was thinking, well,
this is just old hand prints that are coming up.
Becauess where fogging the window? That would make sense. So
we start driving and we we we got were good
idea out and walk around. There's a lot of open
fields and I swear to god, I saw at the

(02:45):
corner of my eye, I saw somebody riding a bike,
clear as day, and I turned to I turned to
look at it and there was nothing there and it
was in the middle of the field, so like there
was nowhere for they. If there was some of the bike,
there was nowhere to to hide jigs where maybe before Okay, oh,
you're right, You're I'm getting crazy?

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Was it that Melville area is crazy? I'll tell you
that is. That is not good man, That is not
you never get out of your car. You never heard that.
You don't know that legend, that legend to ask my mom. Okay,
let's talk to p one Scooby. Is this our Scooby
O G.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Scooby? What I am the son?

Speaker 5 (03:29):
That's the man?

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Oh Scooby Scooby Scooby Jr.

Speaker 5 (03:34):
Yes, I am Wow.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
That's cool. Scrappy or shooty pee one Scrappy that's a
great one. All right, cool, what's your story? Man?

Speaker 5 (03:44):
So this has happened to my mom at my grandma's place. Uh,
her grandpa died, and about a year after he died,
he died in the house too. He died in the house.
And after a year he died, she was sleeping in
the den where it's like connected to the kitchen, and
there's a pull out couch right there, So she was
sleeping there, and she says she woke up in the

(04:06):
middle of the night and she saw him in his
jumpsuit because he worked at a gas station in kitchens
and whatnot. And she saw him walking down through the hallway,
down the steps and into the garage with the door
closed because his work bench was right there.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
And she wasn't like half asleep or anything like that,
she knows all all.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
She was wide awake and she saw him clear as day,
walk down, walked through the hallway, through the kitchen, down
the steps, and right into the garage.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Was she freaked out or did she feel like kind
of good about it?

Speaker 5 (04:43):
She felt kind of good because he's always he was
always a nice man, and so she didn't really feel
worried about it. And then she told my grandma and
she's like, oh, he's just here for a visit.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Okay, okay, Grandpa, come in to visit and thanks Scrappy.
All right, let's go to p one down don. What's
going on?

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Man?

Speaker 1 (05:01):
What's your ghost story?

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Hey? But how's it going? People baths here?

Speaker 3 (05:06):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Hey, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (05:08):
What's up? Man?

Speaker 1 (05:11):
So what's on the window.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
In the hallways?

Speaker 3 (05:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Play baby?

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Nothing that means nothing. Okay.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
So I lived out in Fallbrook, way out in the hills,
and our closest neighbors who were probably eighth of a
mile down the road, and they had a bunch of
livestock and everything down there, and sometimes they would all
gather around and butcher some of the animals and this
and that.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Right.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Well, there was this little girl that lived there too,
and she would always be outside watching or helping her
parents and everybody out there. Well, the little girl got
sick and had passed away. And on the side of
the barn where they butcher the animals and hang them
and everything. At night, sometimes you will come down the

(06:02):
road and there's like a security security light and it
would pick up you driving by in a big security
light would come on behind the barn. Right, So me
and my wife are coming home from a company party
one night, like at midnight. We're driving down the road
and the security light picks up the car and it
comes on and guess who's standing underneath?

Speaker 1 (06:22):
No, no, not okay, well that's great. No, I'm going
to pass that on that So that's Fallbrook, Okay, yeah, yeah,
that's okay. It somewhat far from where I am. You
guys know the Whaley House. You're here, Whalehouse. Got a
situation happened at the Whaley House. REALLYSA a quick time

(06:45):
out when we come back. More ghost stories call right
now eight seven seven five three, including the story from
the Whalehouse. When we get back on the show, A
rocking A five three
