Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is pretty stunning. To be honest with you, Sky,
we all know. You know she is very pro women
in the in every aspect of life.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
You go, girl, How annoying is that?
Speaker 3 (00:14):
Can you do something about that?
Speaker 1 (00:15):
I wish I could stop it.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
You know that's not the first time, you know.
Speaker 3 (00:18):
I said, you're saying no.
Speaker 4 (00:20):
I stood up one I was watching the wonder Woman
movie in the theaters and screamed out, you go girl.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
So thank you guys.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Hear that happen. Yeah, she really did that.
Speaker 4 (00:29):
Yes, I was pumped it pumped on wonder Woman.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
I wasn't expecting to turn around to see that face.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
So Sky, big champion for women, women's rights. The whole
thing always has been maybe not maybe. I'm just saying
if you got publicly called out for basically shaming women,
I think that pretty crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Like I'm rethinking everything right.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Now, like this, think rethinking you go girl.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
I'm not you go girl, but just like I don't know,
like think more before.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
You speak, like yeah you should be doing or like
is this person kind of twisting what I said?
Speaker 1 (01:21):
I maybe you got a new shirt.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
I love the shirt. This is what I.
Speaker 4 (01:30):
Mean.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
You said, You're rethinking everything I immediately call it that shirt.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Okay, I love the shirt. You know, it was like
graduation time.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
Everybody's been having graduations, you know, whether you want to
call it a promotion or graduation. I was with a
group of people in the neighborhood. You know, we all
have kids the same age, they've all kind of grown
up together, and we were all talking about the recent
uh middle school graduation to high school. So the eighth
graders went down from your Win's middle school went down
(02:00):
to La Joya High.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
You know, my daughter did it the year before.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Horse and carriage.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
No horse and carriage. You just walk down the football
field and it's scary. Nobody there's no thrones there, it's
just whatever.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
So uh president comment speech, it's incredible.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
So we're all talking about that, and one of the
parents says something about how they were really shocked at
how some of the girls were dressed this year.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
You've seen how some of the boys were dressed at
Emily's promotion.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
Suits everywhere, suits, yeah, mess, all kinds of stuff. Yeah,
I'm in there. Of course, was a little bit of
that too. I think every school gets a little bit
of you know, there's the kid in sweats and then
there's the kid practically in a tuxedo and everything in between.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Okay, all right, promotion whatever.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
So so yeah, so we're we're talking all about that
and what parent mentions?
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Whoa the girls?
Speaker 4 (03:03):
Uh wow, I wasn't expecting that at this age, but
I guess we're there, and I knew exactly what she
meant because I had the exact same thoughts at my
daughter's thing the year before, when she was going from
eighth grade to freshman year. And so that is when
a conversation starts about how scandalous these girls were dressed.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
And I start describing some of.
Speaker 4 (03:27):
The outfits in Horror, talking about like the white mini
dress with the cutout mid section where literally butt cheeks
are hanging out and you're seeing that.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
She's wearing like a black thong underneath.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
I mean, oh, well, that's the same.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Did you use your favorite term slutes magoots?
Speaker 2 (03:49):
I believe salutes magoots, sluty patuti.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Starts starts dressed very saluty, Yes, sluty patty, slutes magoots.
I heard, what's where slutes magoots or sluty patuity?
Speaker 4 (04:07):
I feel sluty patuity could be like a one time incident,
like your dress, like a sluty patuity, but slutymgoots is
like your name, you know what I mean, Like that's you.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Wow, So I feel that's wow.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
But anyway, so thanks for freaking that down.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
You're welcome.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
So I'm describing all these outfits and how like I
can't believe it, and yeah, and I'm even talking about
like I get it. I was that age I was
trying to pull off tight dresses and short dresses. But
I'm like, but not like this, like I can't believe them,
Like some of them are like wearing stuff that like
I don't even think like twenty five year old should wear.
(04:47):
I mean, I'm I'm having a lot of feelings, maybe
a couple of cocktails that I have loosened.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
It up a little bit. And that's when one dad, who.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
Has been standing there kind of you know, like a
fly on the wall up and I'm like, oh, here
comes outraged dad because he's got daughters, right, so I'm
thinking he's gonna be like, yeah, I can't I hate
that they dress like that.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
And blah blah blah blah blah.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
But no, that is not his take at all, and
he kind of says, yes, I understand what you guys
are talking about. But as a father to young women,
I understand that, you know, a lot of young women
at this age have body issues, and there's a lot
(05:31):
of girls struggling with eating disorders, with fitting in. So
when I see those girls who you may think are
dressed inappropriate, I look at them and go, good for you. You're
healthy enough to have a positive body image that you
feel comfortable wearing whatever you want, no matter what anyone thinks.
(05:51):
And he said, that's a girl with a healthy outlook
on her body. And that's where he stood.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
So wow, wow, basically in your face, said you go girl.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Yeah, as I'm the one shaming them, saying like.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
Sluts, I'm calling them out and everybody.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
I'm sure, I'm sure you dropped the term hooker town
or something like that. These are the things that you
like to say.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
How did that make you feel?
Speaker 4 (06:34):
I was stunned. Yeah, I was then embarrassed, embarrassed, and
then immediately started backtracking.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
Oh why backtrack? Like yeah, because I kind of there's
some flaws of his thinking. I feel like so like,
I mean, that's the kind of a ridiculous jump that
he makes in my eyes, but like it's it's all
your perspectives, I guess, because sure that what he's saying
is legit. There's also a perspective of yeah, you could
(07:11):
have a positive body image and not still dress very scantily,
but also, who are you dressing for that? And you're
dressing like that for a reason? Why are you trying
to dress like that? And also the occasion matters, and
the occasion matters, like, there's so many things and you
could be insecure with how you look, so you're trying
to dress a certain way, you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Accurate?
Speaker 1 (07:32):
The guy's a moron, That's what I'm trying to said it.
You're not a girl, dad, I'm not a girl. Don't
be happy because you're a girl.
Speaker 4 (07:43):
Dad.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
I would never be to shame any kid.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Wow, I'm shocked Sky will argue with us over anything here.
So like I'm shocked. I'm as a girl been wrong
in her life ever, So I'm stunned that you don't
put a foot in the ground and your other foot
in the ground and stand up to this guy and
say what you think because you do that to me?
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Yeah, of course?
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Or did he actually change your your outlook on? No,
No one ever has, And it's impossible. What did you
say when you backtracked?
Speaker 4 (08:13):
I said, oh my god, I've never thought about it
from that perspective.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
This is can we have this guy in studio? This
is crazy?
Speaker 3 (08:27):
And she will still just still?
Speaker 1 (08:29):
And you have a you would never let your door
dress like that.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
No, and and and that's because you know she's who
she is.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
But like, I'm clearly you're ashamed of her body. Her body,
but like, do you ever look at Emily and just go,
I know it's happening.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
Are her chest right now?
Speaker 1 (08:48):
When she comes?
Speaker 2 (08:48):
When she get those out of my face? So I did.
Speaker 4 (08:57):
I immediately felt like this big wow. I felt like
a crap. I felt like a horrible woman.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
I thought Sky, after he was not talking, this is
what I would think Sky would do. Woa, technically, technically
that's what she does. So like it's I'm floored. No,
we didn't get it. Well.
Speaker 4 (09:19):
I felt Ruth Bader spinning in her grave at that point, like, yeah, yeah,
maybe this is just how she is.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
With her friends. Maybe I kind of do you really
do feel that way?
Speaker 3 (09:35):
Like that? He did change your perspective.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
I mean thinking about it and growing up and knowing
when I was that age, how many girls were struggling
with body image and were trust disorders. So like, if
I were to think of one of them being talked
about by an adult the way their body looks, that's horrendous,
that adult.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
I don't know what you're saying anything about saying about
their body, calling her fat, you're not saying is dressed
inappropriately for the occasion, which isn't really about her body,
it's about her choice.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
Like her choice.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Also, she may have body issues and that's why she
dresses like that.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
She's over compensated.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
Yeah, so like I don't I don't know. Now she
agrees with this guy.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
I guess, and I argue with us.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
I guess I've learned that talking crap about but you are.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Is a bad idea. You're making an observation about somebody's outfit.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
Yes, yeah, crazy, multiple people's outfits, not one individual, multiple people, which.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Is even like not worse even more because you're like
loving everybody together. You're not kind of nitpicking individual one person. Okay,
maybe that's kind of rude to point one person out
like we did with read, but you know, overall, I
don't think that what you said is crazy, And this guy,
I think just kind of wanted to get on his
you know, pedestal like check me out women.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
I believe.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Fell he probably he probably has. He probably knows that
there's this check who loves to have her opinion out there.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
Well, hey, mission accomplished.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
She's serious.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
He put her in the place.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
You know, I want to meet this guy.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
And I'm telling you guy deserves a medal.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
Is he's the first person ever?
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Yeah, never, never happened before.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
It
