Speaker 1 (00:00):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (00:00):
This week, the topic of Hoko has been coming up
quite a bit homecoming nets uh and mainly it is
because uh, Emily's son read there is Uh, this kid's
a badass man. He doesn't mess around. Freshman going in there,
slaying damn favor loves America. Uh, he did a whole

(00:29):
proposal type of thing, asking yeah she did did did
a whole sign. It was a it was a lot.
And so asked a girl the homecoming and uh, they're
going and it's happening next weekend. And there was again
another topic of him wanting to wear a suit suit
and Emily getting in there and saying, nah, I don't

(00:49):
want you to wear a suit.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Well, my wife told me to. She she brought this up.
She goes, Hey, is we really gonna wear a suit?
And I go, I don't know, and she goes, it's homecoming.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
You're not supposed to suits to homecoming.

Speaker 5 (01:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
Oh, so Haley trying to get.

Speaker 5 (01:05):
Emily.

Speaker 6 (01:05):
Yeah, team Emily. Yeah, I don't know where I'm at
with that. We're in the place right now where we might.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
You fight out said you're not paying for that.

Speaker 6 (01:13):
I'm not remember, Yeah, I'm not buying the two hundred
dollars suit from like Friar Tucks or whatever. The place
was so shut great place, but I'm not spending that
much to run a suit. I did find like some
suits on Amazon that were like highly rated. Calvin Klein
had a boy's teen suit for like.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Eighty bucks and then you're going to return it. No,
I wouldn't turn it. But I'm looking into that. But
I don't know what I.

Speaker 5 (01:36):
Want to do.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
The jacket thing, like we talked about the blazer.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
Yeah, yeah, he wants he wants it.

Speaker 6 (01:42):
To be honest, I've been avoiding the topic and I
know I need to decide because it's next weekend.

Speaker 5 (01:46):
It's a little crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
So my daughter's homecoming dance is this weekend, and so
is Sky's daughter. Yes, and this is the first time
for Sky's daughter to go to any kind of school dance, right,
uh huh, it's a big deal.

Speaker 7 (02:01):
It is a big deal.

Speaker 8 (02:02):
Yeah, because last year she was a freshman and so
she wasn't really feeling it, you know, homecoming.

Speaker 7 (02:08):
At the beginning of her freshman year.

Speaker 8 (02:10):
She told me that pretty much only juniors and seniors
go to homecoming.

Speaker 5 (02:17):
And that's not true. Well, that's the thing like.

Speaker 7 (02:19):
When she said it, I knew in my head.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
That's in like fourth grade.

Speaker 6 (02:28):
Yeah, so homecoming is the actually one of the dances
that everybody goes.

Speaker 7 (02:31):
I agree. Yeah, And so when she told me that.

Speaker 8 (02:33):
I knew, like, oh, you're new, you don't you don't
know what you speak of. But okay, if you don't feel,
if you're not into it, I'm not going to be
the mom who.

Speaker 7 (02:42):
Like forces you to go.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
You know, well anything that is so true. I don't know.

Speaker 7 (02:48):
I forget what movie it is.

Speaker 8 (02:50):
It's like one of those eighties John Hughes movies where
the parents are kicking the kid out of the car
and forcing him to go to the dance.

Speaker 7 (02:57):
I don't know if it was Pretty in Paint or
one of those. But I'm like, okay, I I don't
know why. I'm like, I'm not going to be that mom.

Speaker 6 (03:02):
I would have been me if my son didn't want
to go, I would have kicked him out of.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
The car and you're going, yeah.

Speaker 7 (03:10):
So but this year I was. I was really happy
when she told me.

Speaker 8 (03:14):
Yeah, a group of my friends we all talked about it,
and we decided that we're going to go.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Yeah, and now there is a big update. This one
over here is over the moon. I know we joke
a lot about you know, Sky getting in there and
Sky wanted to go to the dance. Obviously you know
it's a joke, or is it?

Speaker 7 (03:36):
I can't say anything in this room.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
Well, I mean Sky, I.

Speaker 8 (03:40):
Said something, and you guys clear I mean Sky, I mean, okay,
I may have. I just let you guys know that
I found out yesterday that all my daughter's friends they
all got together and decided we all want to get
ready together.

Speaker 5 (03:57):
That is, my daughter does this with her friends.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Oh you're ready to go the best.

Speaker 8 (04:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
I used to love doing that. I still do that
two girlfriends if we're around her, bunch of blow get ready?

Speaker 7 (04:08):
No, so we do.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
That might have happened one year back of the day. No, no, no, no,
ask that.

Speaker 8 (04:17):
So my daughter said, yeah, they were all talking that
they all want to get ready together and then they'll
be like a big photo shoot and whatever.

Speaker 7 (04:23):
And then she kind of like lets out a sign.

Speaker 8 (04:24):
She goes, yeah, everyone wants to do it at our house,
and like I kind of got excited.

Speaker 7 (04:32):
I kind of got because.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
You're gonna get ready with yeah.

Speaker 5 (04:36):
The booze.

Speaker 8 (04:37):
I'm not serving the children.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Anyone wants to sagrette for photos. Okay, wait more mass
scar question when she's saying the group wants to get
ready at our house. Were you the leader of the
conversation and because you were like, hey, hey girls, why
don't we just get ready at our house? I'm not
tell the old guy hargoes to leave. Okay, he's flying.

Speaker 5 (05:02):
I'm buying. I say, let's do each other's hair, but
nobody can do my hair?

Speaker 4 (05:07):
Okay, can you not? Right now?

Speaker 5 (05:10):
We don't need to We don't need to call it this.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
We don't need to call an uber because the Carl
guy was Cargo buy.

Speaker 7 (05:21):
Okay, so you guys are clearly twisting it.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
I'm not.

Speaker 7 (05:27):
Buy myself a dress. I'm getting involved.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
Guy's fingers are so cross. Someone's gonna ask her.

Speaker 8 (05:35):
You never know, I'm looking together.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
It goes viral.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
Local radio woman gets announced that the homecoming.

Speaker 7 (05:43):
Really that's super creepy.

Speaker 8 (05:46):
But no, just like Emily said, that's what I mean about, Like,
i just have the memories of how fun it was
for me, So I'm excited again. Not for me to
party with them.

Speaker 5 (05:58):
You're not gonna get in there.

Speaker 6 (06:00):
Did your daughter tell you said when you told us
what she said, you said it like she went, they
want to get sad.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
Why she's so sad?

Speaker 3 (06:07):
She the car there because I think she knows moms
get in there and get ready with them. And then
and then cargo guys going to be fixing the fence
when they're trying to take pictures.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
And then the friends why is that guy still working
on that for like two months? The friends parents are
gonna be like what the hell? Yeah?

Speaker 8 (06:32):
And then that's the other thing. Do I invite the
friends parents over for the photo shoot? Do I take
the parents?

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Do I mean when I didn't have homecoming, we did
prom and all my all the parents were there.

Speaker 8 (06:43):
Or do I because there's no dates, it's just a
group of friends. Or do I take the pictures and
then like text them to all the parents?

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Don't it's unnecessary now, Like they'll take pictures of them
at their house I'm sure or whatever, or you'll send
them pictures now because you don't need to do that
anymore if you have a date, Yeah you do parents,
But just for Hoko, I haven't seen it.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
I've seen like my sister and like all their friends,
they all they like have get ready parties with parents.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
Their parents have cocktails. But that's also rich white. Yeah,
it's rich white laoya. That is true. I think that
if it was me, Yeah, your little class.

Speaker 5 (07:25):
Yeah, I know, I get it. I guess it depends.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Yeah, I had a nice house like you, that's I
would invite people over.

Speaker 5 (07:32):
But if you don't know them, that's weird.

Speaker 6 (07:34):
I think that's it's okay just to say come over
thirty minutes before the kids leave and take photos.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
You are they going to find it weird though, that
the mom of the of one of the girls.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Is getting ready to is getting ready to Yeah, of
course I think that's weird.

Speaker 5 (07:48):
I think that's weird.

Speaker 7 (07:49):
I don't have a dress. I'm not giving them booze.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
I'm just excited for my do What about you're always
concerned about your dogs in this situation? Oh, how is
that going to go down? So are you going to
just kick him out?

Speaker 4 (08:02):
No?

Speaker 8 (08:02):
So her friends know the dogs and know that it's
crazy with the dogs, but there probably will be a
time well we'll have to shut the door so the
dogs aren't in their business. But yeah, those damn dogs
are always a concern. That's also why I'm scared of
inviting the other parents over because the dogs.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
I'm embarrassed, just like, put them in the garage while
the people are there garage, don't put them away somewhere. Yeah,
and then there's such a big property, why don't you.
I don't have a big property. I mean again, I
don't have a dog to the kettle house.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
I'se I don't. Okay, Wow, so Sky's going to hooko.

Speaker 5 (08:37):
Yeah, shut up, you have a ticket.

Speaker 7 (08:41):
