Last week, Thor made it very clear that he thought the idea of a push present was stupid and that he refused to get one for his wife. Well... it seems that we may have gave him enough trouble for it to possibly change his mind and force his hand...

Speaker 1 (00:00):
So last week we were talking about this, and I'm
not sure exactly what has happened, but Thor said that
his wife, Hayley, has made a request. She has requested
a push present. If you don't know what a push
president is, Scott, can you describe what a push president is.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Yeah, it's something that I first started hearing about. I
don't know, maybe like fifteen years.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Around when you were pregnant.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Yeah. I don't know if it was just because I
was pregnant or if it's like a newer thing. But
basically the deal is is it's a present that the
man gives the woman for pushing their baby into the world.
That's why it is a push present. Pretty much the
ones I've seen have basically almost all.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Been jewelry support president.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Normally like charms, things with the baby's name on it.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
And I asked em what I got her. I don't
remember that I got her something. The last couple of weeks,
I've been a punching bag. So do I get a
punching bag present?

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Not a punching bag? So dramatic, I'm going to record.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Record Yesterday, Yesterday I laid down and my dog Wilson
jumped off the bed and Haley goes, damn it, and
I go what And she goes, you had to lay
down like that?

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Now I have to be wait what how did your
lay I was just comfortable.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
And then she she goes, it's not your fault. Wait,
you know how dramatic? Sure she actually talks to remember
that one time. You guys are dude, She's not. I'm
telling her she's nine months pregnant. I get it, I
get it, but I don't know. You're also very dramatic.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
He did the impression of her and then he actually
heard her voice memo and it was complete calm.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
I don't know anyway. Yeah, so this push present is
a thing, and so Haley her brother just had a
baby and he had a very special push present for
his wife. And so Haley was like, oh, I would
like something like that and requested a.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
Push present from you. Yeah, and you didn't really want
to do it. I I you know, I try not
to uh be a sheep. So I was like, no,
I didn't want to do this. More support's good enough.
And then she cried after hearing our break.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Yeah, I don't plase you mean. I mean I said
I would buy her a push present. Oh.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
By the way, she keeps asking me if you're serious,
because yesterday you mentioned you have larger shirts. You don't
wear anymore that she would have.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Does she need it?

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Multiple times she asked me to ask you, and I
was like, why don't you just text Eddie? You have
his numbers.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
That's true, So yeah, I can hook her up.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
That would be great because she wears one shirt, Kendrick
Lamar shirt, and it's the only one that's.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Starting to get a little tattered. It's because because she
doesn't want to buy a new shirts because you do
any data. She doesn't want to buy.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
She's not gonna get a hot Johnny Cash shirt like you. Okay,
she could, So this money is present.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
This guy doesn't want to spend any money. He doesn't
want to get her anything. And that's what we that's
where we left it. Yeah, but apparently there has been
a development, really and I don't know he so I
said to him I found out about it. I go, oh,
you got her a push president. And he's saying, he's claiming, no,
this isn't a push president. But I don't understand. Why
not say this just take because he got her something.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
It's a little bit of a mixture, more one thing
than the other a little bit. So I came home
from a recovery thing Friday nights. Happened on Friday night.
I came home and I go into the bedroom and
I'm gonna good mood.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Oh, Friday night. I'm gonna good mood you. Yeah. Uh,
Friday And I come home and my wife's left phone
with her mom tears her eyes.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
He's very emotional. U you think, tears in her eyes, Okay?
And I go, I look at her.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
I don't want to. I look at her and do
the shoulder struggle with what's going on.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
But I mouve it because she's on the phone and
she tells me that her one of her She has
a couple of favorite singers, John Mayer, Taylor Swift, eminem
and Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson. Old school. She's an
old school country. She's a massive Chattahoochi going on the massives.

(04:35):
Also a massive Johnny Cash fan. She's a massive Alan
Jackson fan.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
I mean, really, I didn't see I'm good. Apparently big
country chick.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
So apparently h he's got some like debilitating disease, can't
and he can't tour anymore. So my wife found out
that he's doing a final concert in June of next year,
and she was crying, that's basically what it is. And
now he's not dying, but he can't. He won't be
able tour anymore. This is a final show. And she

(05:13):
was hysterically crying over this on the phone on the
phone about Alan Jackson. Alan Jackson, okay. So I was like,
I'm like, that's terrible, you know so and then I
was like Alan, I didn't know who was so that
that annoyed her.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
So I left the room.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Next morning, I wake up, it's like six am. I
can't sleep, So I go into my sports room and
I'm watching TV and I go, I wonder how much
these tickets of this final show are going to be?

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Where is it that? It's in Nashville.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
So it's in Nashville, and it's at Tennessee Titans Stadium
where the Titans play. It's a stadium show. And then
I look at the lineup and the lineup is pretty insane.
It's like an Aussie thing like Luke Bran, Luke Holmbs
and Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Yeah. And then and then it says and more so
who knows who's going to be there?

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Yeah, you know.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
So I start looking at tickets and the ticket prices
are a little pricey, and it's all pre sale tickets.
I guess I don't really go on sale yet. So
I went to my Capital one app and I saw
that I can use my air miles to buy tickets,
and I and then I also see that it's June
twenty seventh.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Her birthday June twentieth. So then I started, so next
year of next year?

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Okay, So I'm like, well, she was crying yesterday, her
birthday is June twenty seventh. So I used the air
miles and pay a little extra and buyer two tickets.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
What do we if you don't mind? Me? Asked? Yeah,
what are we talking about here? I gotta know I'm
saying a little pricey. I don't know what a little
pricey is. I don't care. I don't know how much
thousand air miles, I don't care. That means nothing to me.
So what what are we talking about here? In humid
dollars overall? Now I only paid three hundred and eighty
nine bucks, okay, how much well become pre air miles

(07:00):
fourteen hundred bucks for did you get to meet Alan
Jackson too? No, you don't get to meet him, dude,
fourteen hundred dollars. It's so unlike you. It is. It is.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
But I'm sitting in my man cave and I'm looking
at this TV and I'm like, I bought this expensive TV.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
I bought this without without a care in the world.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
I bought this other TV recliners. Oh still money. So like,
why granted she has a horse, but I'm like, why
don't we you know, her birthday? The pushing push pushes,
So I said, why don't we pull the trigger, Yola?

Speaker 1 (07:44):
And then and then another thing? Right like you?

Speaker 3 (07:46):
Yeah, because I'm like, I immediately started looking at my
bank account and I'm like, that was probably STUPI precious
but luckily but I use the air miles, so it's
only three and nine bucks. But so next June, you
and her are going to Nashville to see this concert.
You're funny, I'm not going to parent tickets. Yeah, it
was for her and a friend. Oh oh oh, so wait,
you know you're going to have a baby. Yeah, so

(08:07):
you're going to be daddy dude the entire time. Yeah,
we planned on going to Europe, but that's out of
the picture. So I actually, yeah, my brother in law,
my sister told me the best time to travel as
a baby that's under eighteen months.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
They did it. Yeah, so.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
I said, so so I so I surprised her. I
tell her, hey, you know, I got you these tickets,
and she's.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
Mad at me. I'm sorry, why would you do that?

Speaker 3 (08:36):
It's too expensive? We wanted to travel? Oh oh, and
I go, I know, but this is like I thought
you were crying last night, and then she eventually came around.
She loves me and all this stuff. But what's going
on now is I want her to tell people about it,
but she feels bad because she could only invite one friend,

(08:57):
so she doesn't want to tell anybody. So I'm not
getting the credit.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
No Jesus, Oh my god, are you serious right now, Skotty,
you should be able to relate to this.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Your daughter runs into the same problem with inviting friends
to things. If she can only invite one friend, she
doesn't have anybody, you know. Hayle's very similar to She goes, no,
not yet, and I go, so you just want credit?
It would be nice, It would be nice. It's a

(09:27):
really nice thing.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Can she mention you used air miles and didn't really
pay her?

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Did I not pay her in nine dollars? It? Might not,
might not pay, might not pay? Am I not paying
for the plane ticket to Nash? Well, you're wanting fourteen guests.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Guess who's not going to London? The street next to
feel like you wanted to because I have no air
miles left.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Well London, Yeah, and you are. There is a plane
ticket involved too that you can't use your air miles on.
Oh but sky thinks it's so everything's so cheap. But
I burly did anything.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
Well, yeah, because now I use your own logic against
gesture was really nice? Whatever happened in doing something nice
just to do something nice and not telling people about it.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
I'm not helping. I'm not helping me. I bought something
from my wife.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
That's not I'm not doing I'm not doing a five K.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
I'm not I'm not helping out the food bank. I'm
helping my wife. I'm buying or something. So the reason
why you're not fully saying this is a push present
is because you want to use this as a birthday present.
Birthday is twenty. If it works out perfect I don't.
I mean, this is perfect. It's all these things. So

(10:37):
come June next year, you're gonna You're done. You're done.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
No, the birthday present is this, and the the and
the plane ticket.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
You know, the push president is kind of I think
half it was.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
One ticket is the birthday present, and the ticket for
a friend is the push president or vice vice person.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
You know what I'm saying. None of this makes sense.
Why it's crazy. It is crazy. You decided to do that. Yeah,
hopefully we can afford it. I mean, you already did
